The Saudi Arabia area in 1900 had 1.5 million people. 400k-800k lived in Hedjaz, aka Mecca and Medina.

So, your population is 700,000-1,100,000 from a purely historical basis.

The closest I could find about population in my general area was from a Russian Imperial Census of 1897, so I'm going to use that and then subtract some of the population and use that as my own.

Actually it would be closer to 150,000-200,000 the area is nothing but desert, most of your population is going to be nomads ad caravaneers.

Yes, but the Bedouins inhabited the Deserts for quite a long time, and they've been able to survive in the interior. If you look at the population density of Saudi Arabia it has like 10 people per square kilometer in some of the desert areas, which would lead me to believe that while life out there is very difficult, it isn't impossible. That and I'd think if we have Viking India and whatnot we could probably fudge the numbers a bit to give him a fighting chance.

I apologize if this has been confusing, but I never actually liked the way my app used to look, and especially since I really got into this roleplay and I really like the nation I have here, over the past year I've thought about and expanded what I had a lot, that being the main reason for why I wanted to rewrite it, for it to look better and be more detailed. The only changes that have been done from my previous app are in regards to the title of my Emperor, that has been modified, expanded, and his name has been changed too in order to follow the Roman naming conventions, I have made by population a little larger in order to fit in the newly conquered territories, and I was going to contact Oscal to discuss it since it has been a problem from my nation ever since the beginning, despite the way I modified it in the second thread, and I enlarged my army from 350,000 to 400,000 active men, and my fleet from 90 to 100 ships, which at least to me, seems logical considering that five years have passed.

I personally do not see how it is lopsided, considering that ever since my original app, I had the same strengths and weaknesses. I merely explained them better in my latest app variant, but I am more than open to discuss it, and to modify it if, for some reason, you and Oscal decide that it is indeed a problem.

You know this is getting me thinking we should all update our apps. Trace can you remind me how you earned your extra points for your attributes. I remembered yesterday we did that but I can't remember how people earned them.

As for the lopsided part I mean you state your only army weaknesses as poor tech, and too conservative of ideas. However you also say you are fixing both of those, which I take as you saying you will soon have no weaknesses. There should be some inherent weakness you can't get around, perhaps few in number, or poor at several certain types of warfare. The roman army was always weakest in forests and mountains.

No, no, the word soon is mistaken. The Roman Government is indeed trying to fix those problems, but they have been trying to fix it for centuries. I am better at that right now, yes, because of my contacts with Korea, but it's not like I can completely modernize my military. From that point of view, think of me as the Ottomans. They also tried to modernize their armed forces, and it was a slow process, never completed fully. These weaknesses will remain for my military for a long time to come.

And the Western Guards are like the Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye in a smaller version. They're all nice and such, but Rome's effort is pretty high only at keeping one partial legion armed like the West, and even these are lagging behind technologically, compared to the armies of Hansa, as an example.
