??? (Hyrule)
A red portal glowed, then a man in a black armor wearing a black cloak over his head stepped out. Following him was a squad of soldiers wearing white armor, armed with blasters.

The Troopers stormed the nearby village, dragging out the few women, children, and men, and herding them into a central area. The village chief was led to the black-armored man. "Where is the Tri-force?" he demanded.

"I am a simple villager," the chief replied. "If I knew where it was, do you think I would leave it?"

The black figure snatched up a book and pointed to a picture. "You know exactly where it is!" He raised his hand towards the chief's head. Excruciating pain beat in the chief's head. When it ended, the black figure said, "Hyrule Castle. That is our goal. The First Order thanks you for your cooperation." He ignited his red blade with cross guards and it protruded from the chest of the old man.

"Begin the march to Hyrule Castle," Kylo Ren ordered.

"What about the villagers?" asked the Commanding Stormtrooper.

"Kill them all," ordered Ren. The Stormtrooper nodded, then made a signal. Red bolts fired from the Stormtroopers' blasters, dropping villagers one by one. Well, all except for a young boy who'd managed to hide. He waited until the Stormtroopers left, then he leaped onto a horse and galloped to Hyrule Castle to warn of the incoming invasion.

Hyrule Field
Impa saw the incoming crash while on her way to find Link. She hurried over to where the plane crashed. It crashed far away from the castle, but she could not take any chances, especially since it came from one of the glowing portals; not a good sign in her eyes. Last time they appeared, enemies from all ages poured through.

She drew her sword and put it to the survivor's throat. "Who are you? Where did you come from?"

Held at Swordpoint

Postby Skylus » Mon Sep 11, 2017 4:45 pm

???

The first thing Doug saw was a woman pointing a sword at his throat.

"Hey hey hey hey hey! What are you doing?! I'm injured here, and you just decide to walk up and hold me at gun...uhhhh....sword point?"

The man got out of the jet and fell to the grass, then used the side of the Golden Sapphire for support.

Doug then did a full salute to the woman.

"Lincoln Douglas Forester, second lieutenant of the Hyrulialus Royal Air Squadron, mamn'!"

Then a part of the jet fell off and hit the grass.

"....Dammit."

Forest
"What the?!" McCree exclaimed as all a manner of horrible monstrosities attacked him and the two androids viciously. McCree swatted at the swarms flying around him frantically, while Patron and Codex fended off their attackers with energy blasts from their hands. They aimed at the bat's wings, while McCree rolled backward and brought out a flash-bang. He then pulled the pin, let it cook for a few seconds, and then tossed it into the swarm. It exploded with a burst of light and noise, causing the horse flies to either scatter or fall do the ground stunned or dead.

The Woods
It was over.

Cinder stood outside, still in her berserk state, while Asura stood panting next to her. Cinder felt herself separate from what was going on around her, and she didn't seem to notice what was currently happening with Victoria. Her body was still shaking as the adrenaline in her veins slowly vanished, and her four tails slowly merged into three, then two, and finally just one.

Asura in the meantime turned to look at what was happening, remaining silent as he saw the young half-blood on the ground. She isn't going to make it... Asura thought solemnly. He didn't really now her that well, but she was still so young and didn't deserve death. However, it looked like the one called Camille was attempting to heal her, so she could possibly survive after all.

The Woods

As grief filled the crater, the most unexpected occurred. While Marie rushed to find potions, she was stopped by the touch of her daughter on her forearm. When the huntress looked down, she saw Victoria looking back up at her, and she was... smiling?

"Mom... it's okay. You think I wouldn't do something without planning first?"

The first butterfly then landed on Victoria's arm. "Huh?" The Halfblood's eyes widened as she witnessed a miracle unfold in front of her. Where the butterly landed, any traces of the battle completely vanished. That one spot on her body now looked like it had never entered the battle at all. As more and more of Rosa's butterflies fluttered down around her, more and more of her wounds faded away before vanished completely. Besides her still charred clothes and armor, the Halfblood soon looked as if she was never harmed.

Victoria sat up, looking at her hands in total astonishment. "I... wasn't expecting this. Thank you, Rosa"

James was quick to react, helping his daughter back to her feet. Something still troubled him, though. "Wait, then what was your plan, then?"

The Halfblood was hesitant, knowing that the words she was about to say were not going to land on her father's ears well. "Well... I... I was planning on me regenerating after taking that hit"

The instant he heard "regenerate" James snapped. "Regenerate? You put your life at risk expecting you to regenerate? How were you supposed to know if you were even capable of doing that? How were you supposed to know what it could have done to you?"
What is a sig? A miserable little pile of words! But enough talk!
Have at you!

As soon as they saw AI, she left.
"Wow... Rude." Gold said, somewhat jokingly.
"She must've not heard us."

Gold and Ty made their way through the Traveler. It was eerily quiet.

"Yo!" Ty shouted down one of the halls. His voice sounded dampened as it traveled the hallway; There was no response, only silence.
"Where the fuck is everyone?"
"Great welcoming party, huh?"
"Heh."

Gold thought for a moment.
"Oh, Conundrum's probably in the medical bay, so AI probably is, too."
"Oh, right."

The two made their way to the medical bay, passing Simon on the way.
"Hey snow wizard, we're goin' to the medbay to check on Conundrum. Comin' with?"
"Uh, sure."

The three eventually made their way to the medical bay, where several others were already gathered.
"Yo." Gold said, greeting no one in particular.

It had been about an hour, and Kongou was still walking around the factory ship. This was getting monotonous.

Wait.

She spotted a short woman some distance away.
Oh, it's Marguerite.

Kongou briskly made her way to the French woman, who turned to look up at Kongou.

Jesus, she's fucking tall... Marguerite thought to herself; She had never stood next to Kongou closely, and only now realized how tall the mental model was-In her heels, Kongou was even a couple inches taller than Tadayoshi.

"Are you doing anything?"
"Uh... No? Do you need something?"

Kongou paused for a moment; She wasn't sure why, but this wasn't the reaction she was expecting.
"No, I have everything that I require. I was hoping we could 'hang out'. I've been walking for an hour, and everything on board this factory ship looks the same. It is three and a half kilometers of boringness."

Marguerite was surprised; She certainly didn't expect Kongou to want to spend time with her.
"I thought you were watching movies with Dan?"
"We stopped so that we could finish paperwork. He might be finished by now, though."
"See if he'll let us borrow his Switch."

Tadayoshi's office was rather quiet, with just the sound of the air conditioner blowing in the background. In the middle of the floor, a copy of Konogu's mental model morphed out of the floor.

"Ca-"

Kongou stopped, seeing Tadayoshi asleep at his desk.
He should sleep. I could probably recreate whatever games Marguerite has in mind anyway.

The mental model dissolved, returning to the floor.

"He is asleep."
"Oh..."
"I might be able to recreate the game, if you tell me what it is. I could search the internet to find the game's source code somewhere."
"Hmm... It would probably be easier to make a board game with your nanomaterials. Do you know what Monopoly is?"

Kongou searched through her database, and eventually found the game.

Wow, there's 3,040 versions... This must be a popular game!
"I could recreate it using my nanomaterials."

"Nice. We should find Chase and Terrell, they might want to play."
"My scanners indicate that they are aboard my ship."
"Oh, that was easy."

Chase and Terrell walked down the cramped halls of Kongou, surveying the ship.
"Hmm... A camera there would do well... It'd have a wide field of view."
"How about there?"
"Hmm... Nah, they might find it. Even these aren't going to be that small."
"Oh."

The two rounded a corner, only to find Marguerite and Kongou standing in the hall-The two men were clearly startled, not expecting anyone to be aboard.
"Oh, hi!"
"Hello. What are you two doing?" Kongou asked.

Shit, did they find us out?
"Uh... Nothing?"

"Good. Marguerite and I were going to play Monopoly, but it is better as a four player game."

Jesus, I nearly had a heart attack...
"You know, you seem really serious for someone looking to play Monopoly."

"Hmm?" Kongou asked, confused. "Serious?"
"Yeah. You look grouchy."

Kongou placed a hand to her face for a moment, thinking.
"Nonsense."

Bloodfyre gathered his strength enough to stand, though uneasily, pulling a small book from his pocket. He handed to book to Joshua.
"There are some early learning spells that you do not need a focusing object to perform. One that may be useful is Ignis Scandali."

Bloodfyre reached his arm out to demonstrate, pointing his palm towards one of the robots.
"Feel the Life Energy inside of you. Try to channel it through your arm into your hand. Once it had built up, you give the incantation Ignis Scandali..."

A fire ball formed at Bloodfyre's palm, and shot forward, melting a hole in the robot's armor plating.
"And a ball of fire and plasma will appear."

Bloodfyre took a second for this to sink in.
"I do not have much Life Energy left right now, but I am drawing some from outside of the base, from the grass and bugs. I should be fine, but I can not perform high-consumption spells like I have earlier... Too much of my energy is going to keeping my wounds shut."

The knight looked towards the other members of the group, still talking to Joshua.
"Most of our group is in dire straits... I do not know where the exit is... Do you have any ideas?"

Saturn
Ignis let her Pokemon out of their balls. "Come on out, everyone. Let's have a vell deserved rest."

Buoy yawned and ran towards the way of the cafeteria, while Mizu decided to crash on Harriet who was less than willing to let him fall asleep on her. Shimmer floated up to Ignis and teased Terry with her flame, causing the baby to giggle and reach for her.

Skrelp flipped over on his side and was picked up by Rojo. The Hawlucha carried him as he strutted after Buoy.

The Woods
Cascabel dead panned. "You stupid girl, you worried your parents so much. They were so stressed out about you."

Theresa slowly woke up and grumbled. "What's...going on?"

Cascabel immediately dropped her and put his hands on her collar. "Great, you're awake, now get me home."

"H-huh? Ok, I guess.." Terry reached for her medallion.

Zeta reemerged from where he showered, just in time to see a small crowd of pokemon charge past him. He blinked a few times, shrugged, then went to find Ignis.

He sat down onto the floor, sitting anime-style, and grinned.
"Finally. Normal stuff. Showers, food and company. Allll I could ever want. Apart from a relationship." He laughed as he said the last point.
"So, er, Ignis." He said, trying to make conversation. "What's... Your favourite... Food?"

Eridan

Eridan perched himself on a rock, and swept waves of Hope over the barren landscape. Debris from the battle with Infinity and the remains of the enormous structure they had previously been fighting on top of littered the ground. He lifted his arms, and like a conductor, began to sweep chunks of marble and basalt off the ground. It was barely an exertion of his power, lifting these little stone columns and such - but it was entertainment nonetheless. Roughly hewn sculptures made themselves from rubble around him, and tore themselves apart by his will. He stood, and blew one away with a blast. It felt cathartic.

He imagined himself delivering the decisive blow against Kadoor a million times over. Maybe he'd break her knees first, and let her die on the ground? No, that was too melodramatic. Hmm... What if he tore off her arms first, and then shot her through the spine? No, that would be way too messy. Oh! He had a good one, what if he ripped open her rib-cage, and plunged Ahab's Crosshairs into her heart? Yes, that would be so satisfying! A poetic end to the eater of hearts. He drew his rifle, and struck a pose, aiming its tip towa- wait, what?

Where had Ahab's Crosshairs gone?!

Vriska

Vriska tore across the dusty plains, the sky above turning to mid-day. Even then, some clouds still lingered from the great battle that had been waged just a few hours prior. It had been so wonderful feeling the power of a thousand stars funnelling itself through her, an unimaginable potential at her fingertips. She could have torn apart her allies, The Kongou, every last one of those self-absorbed little journeyers. Hell, she could've torn apart Infinity, and then the planet, and then this entire stupid little web of worlds. It would have all been possible. But instead, she spent her time getting a few hits in on that smug little bastard. What a waste of effort.

A stream of light flew past her, and impacted the great hillside in front of her. A blinding flash of white light flared, forcing Vriska to look away. Even then, the light still burnt through her eyelids as the nova spread outwards. A hail of stone and a cloud of dust rose into the air, and came crashing down again. A tidal wave of sand and rock tumbled through the air, and stopped - frozen in place, suspended barely a dozen metres above her. Little streamers of soil and sand protruded from the canopy, tumbling through the air at an inching pace. Vriska didn't bother to look down. She knew who was there.

"Wwhere's my fuckin' rifle, Vvris?"

Vriska twiddled The Flourite Octet between her fingers.

"I 8n't seen it, Ampora. Look somewhere else."

Eridan jabbed a finger at her, angry and fit to burst. The cloud of frozen explosive particulate tremored for a moment.

"Don't you lie to me, hag! I knoww you'vve got it. Noww hand it ovver, before I havve to kick your fuckin' ass to the Outer Ring and back!"

Vriska smirked.

"Eridan, why would I need that pissy little 8lue stick of yours? It's 8arely enough of a novelty to warrant any effort at all. You can have it, even! I don't especially care. I mean, you've already got stronger Hope powers than anything that rod could even summon up. Did you remem8er to check that it wasn't in your pocket?"

"You wwere alwways a terrible liar, Vvriska - but havvin' a psychic God inside your head really makes the attempt evven more pathetic!"

"Well in that case..."

Vriska spun around, Ahab's Crosshairs in her hands. A phosphorescent glow ran along its core, and gathered at the bulb, streaming forth in a cascade of energy. Its chilling hue splayed out over the landscape, drowning out the sun with its harsh glare. Eridan gritted his teeth, and batted it to one side with his wand. From several thousand metres away, an explosion sprung up, a brilliant sun-eating burst of light, followed by the sight of a mushroom cloud rising into the air, hundreds of metres high. The cloud of debris above them both came crashing down as Eridan let go, momentarily covering the plains in an opaque cloud of dust. Eridan called through the smoke:

"Wwell, that wwas fuckin' pointless. Wwhy don't you come out before I havve to find you? Your "luck" can't savve you forevver."

Another beam of light coiled through the mist, colliding with Eridan's hastily erected barrier. Streamers of light flung themselves into the air, an all-consuming droning sound accompanying the blast. A cone-shaped crater lay in front of the still standing prince, as if wings had been carved into the ground behind him. He flicked his wand, and the cloud parted, leaving Eridan standing on a peninsula, and Vriska on the other side of the canyon. She rose her hand to shout.

"Yeah, well, your little god complex can't either!"

"Fuck off!"

Eridan flung himself over the divide, leaping over, and slamming into the ground - a great maze of cracks and ravines snaking in all directions from where he had landed, enormous plateaus of stone rising and falling in ripples and waves. Vriska hovered above, little flakes of fairy dust drifting to the ground. He looked upwards with eldritch eyes, feral and enraged.

"Get back down here, thief!"

Eridan flung a cable of light into the air, chasing after Vriska. She dived and weaved along the beam, swinging the rifle at Eridan. Sparks flew and the air fizzled as he parried her blew with his wand. Two more strikes were parried once more, before Eridan was sent tumbling backwards by a boot to the chest. Vriska levelled the rifle at his head, and let loose another beam. Eridan fired his own, matching it in the middle. The rifle pushed hard, so Eridan pushed back harder. He overcame it with ease, and in a burst of fire and force, Vriska was sent flying - skidding along the ground, and tumbling through a pile of rubble. She closed her eyes, and wiped the blood off her face, smearing a streak of blue across her palm.

"Get up, lymph-blooded freak. I wwant all eight a' your eyes to knoww wwho sent you to Hell. It's about time you stopped hidin' behind my fuckin' rifle!"

Eridan took a step forward, flinging a bolt across the field. Vriska serendipitously rolled out of the way. She grabbed Ahab's Crosshairs, and stood up, back hunched and eyes wild. She clenched her fists, her knuckles turning white. A crack spread across the rifle, a thin sliver of light curling down its surface. It burst open, a great wave of sparks and cinders erupting from the cross section of its newly formed two halves.

"Oh, you 8et. I plan on doing exactly that."

"NO!"

Eridan lunged forward, wand aimed at Vriska's heart like a sabre. She grabbed him in the air, and twisted his arm, slamming the back of the gun into his head with one arm. She kicked him in the gut, and pushed him up against a rock, hands wrapped around his throat. With a blast, Eridan pushed her away, his hands leaking wisps of white fire. He reached out with one hand, Ahab's Crosshairs rising from the ground and flinging itself into his hand.

"It could havve been ovver so soon, you bitch. You're not... *hack*, you're not wworthy to wwield the fuckin' rifle that The Grand fuckin' Orphaner held in his hands. Your blood ain't got the majesty to rise up against me! I'm the strongest, I am! A little broken rifle ain't gonna change that. You think you're... *urgh*, you're so special. I'll tell you wwhat you are. Fuckin'... Pointless! *Heh*, wwhat are you here for!? Nothin'! Me? I'm going to savve the fuckin' wworld wwhile you're just prancin' around."

Vriska rose slowly, drawing her dice. She snarled, baring her fangs. Eridan huffed and wheezed haggardly, showing off his own set of canines. They were predators, born from a society of murderers. A little race manipulated by a god to play a game. And here they were, the last of their session, as far as they knew, still carrying on the grudge of ancestors who'd lived and died aeons ago and galaxies away. And now, Vriska held all the power of The Marquise in her hand, a set of eight eights.

"You listen, and you listen good, fucker. I don't give a shit a8out what you're prattling on a8out, 8ut it's 8ecome pretty self evident that you're in serious need of a killing. And who am I to disappoint my Kismet?"

Vriska laughed maniacally, tossing her dice to the ground.

"8lack through and through, darling!"

"Ah! Of course." Zeta said as he followed to the cafeteria. I hope she's not being literal... Snakes in his universe could eat things larger than themselves..., perhaps Ignis could do the same?

He ignited his red blade with cross guards and it protruded from the chest of the old man.

A few moments after before the storm troopers left, another figure came out of the portal. This figure had a blue and black robot body that looked like a mix beteern knight armor and darth vader's armor, tubes were coming from the shoulder greaves and connected to the back of his helmet. The helmet was blue and black, with glowing red orbs in a pitch black goggle area. His legs were covered with a robotic exoskeleton and beneath that were wires holding together skin. His feet were robotic talons. As the storm troopers left he looked around, and not recognizing where he was, force pulled the last remaining stormtrooper to him. Catching the trooper by the throaght he demanded in a digitized yet deep voice, "Where am I and what time period is it droid?"

When sine started flirting with Olisi he ignored it at first, but soon that as well as the darkness' constant pestering, he snapped. "WOULD YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP! BOTH OF YOU! I AM SICK OF YOU TRYING TO DESTROY MY LIFE AND TAKE OVER MY BODY! AND YOU! WHY ARE YOU FUCKING FLIRTING! DONT WE HAVE SOMETHING TO DO!?!?!"

the darkness just chuckled and said, "Oh JAcKIe, yOu KNoW You'll NeVER GeT RiD OF mE uNLeSs you FuCk wITh SoMEOnE, AnD YoU ArE ToO StUBbOrn tO Do THaT."

Traveler
Hanzo glanced up at Kadoor with a glare. "Alive... This... this is not life. This is a great dishonor." He snapped, clenching his metal-plated fist. "I suppose that this is my long-awaited punishment... my last great shame... Now I understand..." He muttered, looking at the ground gloomily.

Then at that moment, Ty, Gold and Simon entered the med-bay, no doubt wishing to pay Jacob a visit. Aicy appeared in front of them with a pleasant smile. "Oh, welcome. My apologies for not speaking to you earlier, but I was rather... occupied." She explained, gesturing to Hanzo who was still looking grumpy and depressed. Clairus didn't seem to respond to the trio entering the room, as she was lost in thought again.

She remembered the lessons Jacob taught her about the multiverse during the early days of their friendship, and how he'd bring up star charts of the vast space around the Traveler. The charts were in the form of holographic projections that filled the room, and touching a star would zoom in on the solar system around it. From there, Jacob explained what the worlds in those systems were like, and when he visited them.

It was during one of those sessions that she found a particularly beautiful nebula, and as Jacob explained it, Clairus' ASD triggered, causing her to look into his aura without thinking. It was then that his true emotions shined through, and she saw his happiness to teach her, as well as the other positives in his aura. She also noticed some dark patches: sadness, rage, regret, but she didn't dwell on those for very long.

Still, she was curious as to where those emotions were coming from, but she wouldn't ask just in case it was personal, and furthermore; she didn't want Jacob to know that her condition had caused her to accidentally peer deep within his very soul. Then Clairus managed to cut the connection with Jacob's aura, but the feelings she saw in it left her with a happiness that she couldn't quite place. Jacob didn't seem to notice this intrusion into his aura, which Clairus was thankful for due to the potential embarrassment of that situation.

Regardless, her happiness remained, and she felt as though she knew who Jacob truly was a bit more. That was the day Clairus started to develop feelings for Jacob, and though they were small at the time, they slowly grew more and more the longer she talked and spent time with Jacob. Clairus finally snapped herself out of her thoughts, and turned to the three new arrivals. "Oh... Hi..." She said shyly, smiling at the trio.

Saturn
Ignis held Terry on one arm and began to go get some food for herself from the counter. Buoy was sitting on a chair next to Zeta, munching on a fish. She looked up at Zeta and cocked her head, wagging her tail cutely. Mizu also approached the fox curiously and poked Zeta with some of his frubbles. Harriet perched on the table and began to preen her feathers.

Quetz petted Shuppet and Shelder, but in a very subconscious manner. He kept staring blankly into the distance. What he was thinking could not be deduced easily but one could easily see that his golden eyes were tinged with fatigue and worry.

Zeta grinned. He petted the two pokemon, wondering what they were. He'd only seen things like these in child's cartoons.
The fox glanced over at Quetz. He didn't seem... interested in the other two pokemon that he was limply petting. He wondered what was on his mind.
"Hey, er... Quetz? You alright?" Zeta decided that he might as well ask. He might get an answer.

Hyrule Field
Impa glowered at the man, this "Lincoln." "Air Squadron?" she asked, keeping her blade pointed toward Lincoln. "I have never heard of this and I am Head of the Royal Guard." She frowned.

Just then, a thundering gallop raced across the plain. A small boy, around the age of ten, nearly fell off his horse. "Attackers. . . coming," he said before collapsing.

Impa said, "Follow me." She hurried over to where the boy lay. She picked him up, hoisted him over her shoulder, and began to walk towards the castle.

???
The stormtrooper looked in sheer terror as he was being interrogated by this creature holding him by the throat. He managed to gasp the words, "Not. . . droid. In. . . Hyrule. Sith. . . gone. First. . . Order."

"First order? Hmph, probably another failing state, the only state that hasn't failed on me is the eternal empire, though you do look like our droid troops with your armor." Dakoolon said as he dropped the stormtrooper, imagining he was relieved to live, he ignighted his lightsaber, with a KASCH the black blade with orange outline sprang up and he struck the stormtrooper, cutting him in half with little trouble. As the trooper was dying he started to read his mind, as he recalled that from an ancient sith technique from before the death of his old master Naga Sadow. And luckily, that technique really helped him out throughout the millennia. After getting his orders, he smirked underneath his mask and started following this 'Kylo' to hyrule castle.

Doug

All the pilot could do was follow the armored woman as she began to head towards a castle in the distance.

"Wait...He said attackers?"

He jogged to catch up with her and then slowed down.

"What kind are we talking about? Raiders? Mercenaries? Pirates?"

Then the Slate at his side let out a beep and he pulled it out and switched it on.

Searching.....
Location Found: Hyrule, Circa 1645
Updating land masses.....

Doug stopped dead.
"...Hyrule.....?"
He looked up towards the looming castle and recognized the flag that was flying from the battlements.
".....I....I went back in time...."
The woman was several feet away now and Doug actually ran across the field to catch up to her.

"Huh? N-no, everything's fine." he answered hastily.

"It's just that...I might be leaving the Saturn soon. And not with Ignis."

Shuppet looked up at Quetz worriedly and whined.

"Don't worry, you'll be coming too." he smiled.

Flames Rekindled
Act I-the Relics
Chapter 2: The Book

Sine
Sine was lost in thought for a few moments. Olisi's ability was performed by a device. If this plan worked, and Olisi played his role well, she might consider getting to know him a bit better. And then Jackie ruined the moment. She turned to him and gave him a deadly glare before she finally asked him, "Do you have some sort of invisibility that can make you and your parasite disappear? It's important that you remain unseen. How I plan things out depends on it."

??? Dark Forest

Unfortunately for Chris and Victoria, the trees weren't finished. If one listened above the screams echoing in the distance, you could hear whistles and trees creaking and groaning. Twice the branches flew after them, this time not even bothering to drag them to the hole. Instead, they grabbed the wrists and the legs, and pulled them to where they were suspended in the air, stretched out in all four directions. Then a limb wrapped itself around Chris' neck and another around Victoria's stomach. They could still breathe, but it was harder to do so.

As for McCree and the Androids, the bats and flies lay dead, but an instant later, the bats rose from the ground. Even the ones without wings could fly. Slower-moving and moaning, the bats floated towards them. However, the moans met with more moans. The trio were suddenly surrounded by dozens of walking human and bat corpses.

In Jane's case, she could not feel the presence of the Angelus due to the immense darkness acting as a barrier, preventing her from communication.

Jack peeked out from the bushes to see Jane meditating just in time to see an arrow whiz by his head. He dove headfirst into the bushes again just as an army of skeletons came into view. Wielding swords, axes, and bows, these creatures surrounded both Jane and Jack.
????
"It appears that our guests seem to be survivors," said the old man peering into the crystal ball. He waved his hands over it and said, "Welcome to my forest, intruders. It seems that you've managed to beat my welcoming committee, which many never do. However, if you surrender now, your soul won't be my slave for eternity; you'll only be my perpetual guests." The voice echoed throughout the forests.

Then a familiar voice shouted, "No! Don't listen to him; he's going to use you for his unholy-" The sound of electricity and a scream followed.

"I told you to keep quiet," snapped the old man. He waved his hands again and a gigantic image of himself replaced the fog. Next to him were two skeletons firmly holding a battered and bruised prisoner. The prisoner was a young man with black hair and one scarred eye, one that everyone in the forest recognized: their lost friend.

The old man pointed his staff at Utozai and said, "I'll make you a deal. You all surrender, or I kill him, enslave his soul, and reanimate his corpse for my service, and then I still do the same. Your move."

He smiled, trying to reassure Quetz. He looked like he wasn't so sure on his decision to go.

The Battlefield

Eridan watched as the dice exploded in fire, a great hail of flourite javelins flinging themselves into the air. He swatted hundreds aside, while Vriska “luckily” avoided impalement by her own dice. With a shout, she pulled one from the ground, and hurled it toward him, caught in his hand, and shattered with a clenching of his fist.

“Stop fightin’ dirty, Serket. Your dice can’t stop the ungodly powwer that is me, and me alone! I’m the God that’s going to reduce you to fuckin’ ashes. Wwhen your ancestor wwas prancin’ about the seas, Orphaner Dualscar wwas plunderin’ tombs, pursuin’ leads, takin’ care a’ the business of exterminatin’ the lowwer castes! I’m a whole grander fuckin’ story greater than you, Vvriska. And don’t you knoww? I’m the fuckin’ hero a’ this story!”

Vriska darted forward, locking blades with Eridan, a spike in hand. She struck at his heart, her weapon of choice glancing to one side in a flurry of sparks. It took only another two strikes to bypass Eridan’s lacking defences, striking him on the cheek, drawing a thin, hot line of violet blood. Vriska pressed the advantage, slashing at him from every direction.

“Yeah, as if you’re one to talk. Whose ancestor had the last laugh? You’re a seadwelling piece of shit. For all the pomp and circumstance, you’re just a mushy 8ag of failures and pathetically hopeless compromise, chasing after dead ends and 8roken little relationships. So dramatic and so o8viously insecure! Cut the drama, and just admit it - you’re never going to 8e anything but a miserable fuckup.”

Eridan pushed Vriska away with a ripping crack, shearing open the ground in front of him, tearing the world asunder. An enormous ravine opened up in front of him, slabs of rock peeling off and falling into the abyss. Vriska’s left arm was mangled and shredded, as if a great jagged blade had sheared the flesh off of her bones. It was with great difficulty that she lifted herself into the air, rolling her dice once again, and summoning an army of Cavalreapers, descending upon Eridan, striking him from every direction. With a simple movement, he dissolved the very ground around himself, sundering away the very surface of the land around him for leagues in all directions.

“You shut up! Wwhose legacy wwas ensured by a boy in blue pyjamas? Wwhose life wwas savved because she wwas needed to put dowwn a dog?! You’re an easily operated devvice, Vvriska. Nothing more than that! Wwho’s the one that got evveryone killed, and wwhose the one to havve decided to end their livves?! You livve on blind fuckin’ luck, thief. And time is runnin’ out for you. You’d best knoww wwhen the wwinds are swwingin’ and singin’ a wwhole neww tune!”

Eridan pointed his wand upwards, lighting up the sky with a grand and glorious light show. Ribbons of Hope beamed up into the sky, swirling in patterns, screeching as Insurmountable Force ripped open the Heavens. Vriska swooped down, grabbing Eridan by his scarf, strangling him and lifting him into the air - most impressively, with only one arm. Her breath was ragged, her movements sluggish. She was tiring, and yet strength flowed through Eridan's heart, filling his chest with coiling power.

“I don’t think that day’s today, Ampora! I still feel pretty goddamn lucky! Chalk it up to all that time I spent thrashing you on a daily 8asis 8ack when we were wrigglers, 8ut I am well and truly fed up with your dramatic, emotional crap!”

"I can still fly, you dumb bitch!"

Eridan flared with light, and flung Vriska away - firing a jagged beam of light at her. And for once, she wasn't fast enough - the impact launching her back to the ground, landing on her feet. He followed suit, slamming into the rocks below like a comet, a great cataclysmic eruption following in his wake. Vriska rolled her dice, a blue wall of flame sprouting up in front of her. An explosion on the magnitude of a volcanic eruption engulfed the ground - and when all had settled down again, there they stood - battered and bruised. The land around them looked as if it had been torn up, strewn about, then had that process done to it another twenty times. Nothing remained for as far as they could see.

Eridan, clothes tattered and face bleeding, stepped forward.

He dashed forward, wings in every part of his body. Angels coursed through his blood. His arteries glowed like white fire from beneath his skin, lighting his body up, bleeding from every pore of his body. His presence was enormous. Enormous enough to dull every sensation, overload every perception, and drown out all else. He struck Vriska, sending her sprawling. He made it very clear how simple, how easy it would be to rip her into giblets with a thought. He laughed, and pulled Vriska to her feet, making her stand.

He took another step forward. And, for once in her life, Vriska took a step back.

“Yeah, howw do you like that, bitch? See wwhat I’vve become?! See wwhat I’m capable of noww that my limitations havve been broken!? You’re nothin’ to me, Vvris. A pitiable shit-blooded mess. Go on, go crying back to your little spider, break a feww balls, wwhat do I care?! Run awway, little girl. Toys aren't fun wwhen you break them. Noww fuck off, if you knoww wwhat's good for you.”

Vriska, her luck up, and her body on the very brink of death, took to the air. A peculiar feeling overtook her soul. Was it… Awe? No, it was far more than that. There was something else within, among the grudging respect and the shame of defeat. A dim flame, slowly rising from the kindling.

It was fear.

And it was fear that Eridan could taste.

Turning to The Traveller, he began to walk. And, since it was a day of first times, he smiled. He smiled widely, and he laughed. He welded his rifle back together, feeling the metal weaving itself together between his fingertips, pressing its joints into place.

And that fear - even as Vriska fled, he could still feel it. It coursed through his veins. For once, he was where he wanted to be - what he wanted to be. A genocidal murderer, one whose very presence invoked fear and prostration. Or at least, that would come to fruition soon enough.

“Yeah, you’d better be scared, Kadoor. I’m comin’ for you. I’m comin’ real soon.”

"...I'm thinking of heading back to Mexico City. I haven't been there in a long time. I...need to meet someone there." Quetz said slowly to Zeta, as if he was still searching for a choice of words.

"I know Ignis can take care of herself all too well, but..still, when I leave...could you help her out while I'm gone?" he looked over at Zeta nervously. "She's not very adept at caring for a baby, and I'm worried she'd get overwhelmed.

Lusamine sighed in disbelief when she heard what Link have to say about Lillie’s girlfriend. “Please, don’t toss such an ugly word towards a young child Link. She, Champion Selene, sees you as an icon from popular media, and doesn’t have negative history unlike me. Honestly, I know it’s hard for you and me to visit her old house, but lately it became a crime scene.”

Lusamine then gestured for the heroes to follow her. “Thank you everyone. Now please be on your best behavior.” This is the best she can do for them now. Already dealing with a person for a medieval time, Lusamine tried to say claim with the others strangers as well.

Sailor Mercury slowly got herself up from the floor and turned to the AI, astonished by her words. “You’re being too harsh to Elizabeth Star.” She replied. “If she had a wish maker or something familiar, she would surprise all of us and may undo the whole disaster in London. Such probability exist.”

Star groaned a little and pouted. “Of course, but at the same time, Elizabeth may enact her revenge against Flowey and kill him.” Star replied. “All because… Oh.”

Star paused and facepalmed when Ignis, the person who made Flowey hostile to begin with, asked her a question. “It’s been an awful day Ignis, and a I’m buggy as heck. I’m not sure why most of everyone onboard the Kongou didn’t realize my announcement, but in simple terminology, I’m turning evil!”

Sailor Mercury cringed, disturbed by development. “I’m getting the feeling that you’re having some deep seeded issues that must be resolved. Star, if you and your captain allow it I could examine what’s causing the error.”

Star then stopped when another realization rolled in. “What’s a horse Ignis or a mice? Is it a Pikachu, or a Ponyta?”

"Jeeze Star, I know I caused all of zhis Scheisse vhen I spared Flowey, und you're really stressed out about trying to fix everyzhing on board, but maybe you should take some time off of vork und just relax, or talk about your feelings to somebody." She suggested nervously.

"You just seem so overvehlmed now...but I could help you vizh anyzhing, if it'll make you feel less stressed."

When Star asked her what a horse or mouse was, Ignis chuckled and scratched her head. "Ja, it's just like a Ponyta und Pikachu. But vizhout zhe Zhunderbolt."

Abakelia's Base

Joshua took the book from Bloodfyre, impatiently waiting while he watched as the knight demonstrated the fireball spell. When he was done, Joshua imitated his steps, channeling Life Energy into his hand, aiming it into the robotic army, and saying the incantation. The ball of fire and plasma appeared in his hand and shot forward, melting through the armor of the first robot it hit. This was immediately capitalized upon by Sylph, who used an air slash attack to destroy the robot's now-vulnerable insides. Too angry to giggle to himself in amusement (though he made a mental note to do that later when he was alone), he instead focused on figuring out an exit strategy. Before long, one came to him.

"Marcus!" Joshua yelled, attracting the attention of his friend who had been too busy helping Alex with making sure Eric, Ann, and Ji-Yeong weren't dying to notice Joshua using magic. "Yeah?" "You know the way out of here, right?" "Yeah! Right through this narrow passage, through the giant fucking horde of robots, then we take a left and it's a straight shot right to the bunker doors!" "Fantastic. Here's my escape plan, then, everyone! Everyone who can walk picks up someone who can't, then you follow me while I bust through the horde using the power of fire magic and punching until we get outside! Alex, if at any point you feel your powers come back, then I think you know what to do!" "Roger that!" "Sounds like a plan to me! Get punching, Fire Hulk!" Joshua grinned then obliged, shooting a fire spell point-blank at a robot through its eye, destroying it. He then punched its torso hard enough to knock it back into the crowd, clearing a small path. Moving slightly forward, he repeated this process, gaining a small amount of ground each time.

Meanwhile, the remaining heroes gathered up their incapacitated comrades. Marcus heaved Eric over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes with a mighty groan, while Alex cradled Ann more delicately in her arms. Ivan attempted to lift Ji-Yeong, but was quickly stopped by Jack. "What the hell are you doing?" "Ve are bringing her vith us," Ivan replied, trying to get his remaining arm beneath her to gain some leverage. "Why? She's caused so much pain, so much-" "Ve. Are. Bringing. Her." Ivan said, in an end-of-discussion voice. Jack shuddered a bit, then sighed. "Fine. At least let me carry her, then. You're in no position carry anything." Ivan looked at Jack for a moment, then sighed, withdrew his arm, and waved it at the girl. As Jack scooped her up, he said, "Do not let anything happen to her."

A loud crash sounded as Joshua finally broke through the bottleneck and cleared a path through the hallway behind with the help of Sylph, punching/melting/blowing all the opponents in front of them to the side where they were quickly dispatched of. "We're through! Chaaaaaarge!" Joshua yelled, barreling down the hallway like a linebacker with Sylph on his shoulders, smashing or pushing any robots in their path out of the way. The rest of the heroes followed closely behind them, all desperate to not be inadvertently left behind in the breakout attempt. Before long, they came to the turn. Joshua did not slow down to round the corner; instead, Sylph used a massive gust of wind like an engine, pushing hard to the right to make Joshua take a sharp left and narrowly avoiding smacking into the wall. On the far side of this new hall was the still-open bunker door, with multitudes of deathbots filling the space inbetween. Bursts of fire and wind filled the corridor in front of the vanguard, destroying all robots in their path as the group rapidly approached freedom.

A few moments later, Joshua and Sylph burst through the open door and came out under the sun. As they hadn't been teleported away, Joshua reasoned it probably wasn't safe to stop, so he continued charging down the mountain. Behind them, fatigue was beginning to set in on the sprinting heroes when, suddenly, Alex felt a renewed awareness. The sense, the feeling that she knew where everything around her was and where she had been that had always accompanied her since she acquired her powers had returned. A brief moment passed while she processed this, then with an excited yell she closed her eyes and focused on all those around her, making sure not to leave anyone behind and to not bring any extra unwelcome passengers. In the span of less than a second she processed every impression she desired to take with her back home: Me, Ann, Marcus, Eric, Joshua, Sylph, Ivan, Jack, Ji-Yeong, Secesh, Antony, Irwin, Bloodfyre that's everyone! With all targets acquired, she focused on their destination, electing to return to the first place that popped into her head: Home. At the last possible moment before the heroes teleported away, however, she noticed a new impression rapidly traveling towards them. Who is... Pobeda! Not worrying about how it was possible, she snagged the resurrected troll an instant before they teleported, and one instant later the group was all back in the girl's apartment.

With the heroes safe for the time being, Alex teleported Ann, Eric, and Ji-Yeong out of their carriers' hands and onto her bed, where she figured they'd be safe until they figured out where to get some medical attention. She then sank to her knees in exhaustion and sighed. "We... we did it." The rest of the heroes followed suit, falling into some position to catch their breaths when Marcus caught sight of Pobeda. "Holy shit, Pobeda? I thought you died!"

Abakelia's Base, Command Center

Zviadi Abakelia was having a pretty good day up until now. His mortal enemies were about to be brutally killed by his many robots and photokinetic asset, and a plan to get rid of said asset once she had served her purpose was in the works. Then, the weird kid in the red windsock did something that caused chronoton activity to spike, and suddenly both the kid and his asset were on the ground. Which wasn't too bad by itself, as that really just provided a convenient way to get rid of the girl, and he even got to see the alien die. But then, his mood began to sour when he saw that everyone else was adamantly refusing to follow in the alien's foosteps. He began agitated when Rigel began using fire powers (?!?!??!) to break through the robotic wall. His rage boiled over when he saw the alien begin to glow and then return to life! With zero of the constellation dead and even the prospect of an alien dissection gone, Abakelia actually punched the screen in front of him, cracking it and thoroughly hurting his hand. He let out a stream of Georgian curses as they escaped the dampening field and Gomeisa teleported everyone away, angrily demanding that his maintenance drones get to work on fixing the radio tower so he could alert his global forces to find and absolutely destroy his prey. With that done, Abakelia left his control center to find an ice pack for his hand and for some more stuff to destroy so he could burn off some of his unyielding rage.
Yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
