Ackerman grunted as xe thrust Jontum into the abdomen of one Pheonix to push her back, then dodged another oen's attack. Xe skillfully kicked her into the first Pheonix to knock the two out. "I remember there being people here earlier! If only they could come and help..."

Uska muttered a spell to send blasts of light crashing into some Pheonixes and leapt next to Ackerman. "I trust we can take them on."

"Wait! Those beams of light..." Ackerman's eyes widened. "Your voice..."

"Yes, I'm Uska Jarvinen, slayer of the swan. That Uska." Uska punched an attacker, sending her flying. "Hello, Fritze Ackerman."

"Uska..." Ackerman's eyes welled with moisture. "You...but...you..."

"Sh. Not now." Uska threw his knife into the eye slit of a Pheonix behind Ackefman. Ackerman nodded, wiping xer eyes. Then Ceiji and Itona came in, and Itona was injured. Ackerman ran over. "I can carry you Itona, if you cannot stand anymore. But we must escape soon- the army is coming to raze Don Roith."

Ackerman decided it was enough dicking around and took out an semiautomatic Rifle. "Everyone watch out!" Xe yelled as xe leapt above a Pheinix, ramming xer bayonet into the warrior's helmet.

Kalo had run towards Po with his hands morphed into swords. "Po! Is everything alright? Who are these people?"

Even though Po and Issun had dispatched most attackers, Kalo was still wary for more.

Aestus let out another sigh.
"I was not condoning the murder of the natives, I never said that. I was just saying that we do not have the time to go on the wild goose hunt you mentioned where we try to find out if they are being controlled, and find out how to stop it. Time is not our ally, as I said," He replied to Takanuva. From there, he stared him straight in the eyes.
"But, I have no issue with killing in self-defense. Killing someone does not back you as bad as the person you are fighting against, for you are doing it to protect yourself. You have your own morals, and I have my own. It is apparent that we come from different cultures, so I will ask you to respect my beliefs, and I will respect yours," he replied, before looking away from Takanuva, and picking up the datapad. It started to beep, and a digital arrow guided them to the south-east.
"We do not have time for this debate, Takanuva. Let us just agree to avoid killing when we can, and leave it at that," he said, before following to the arrow to the component. He was never a fan of debates over morality, and didn't want to have to deal with that sort of thing just now.
F5 glared at Takanuva once more, before walking off to Bastion.
"Get over here!" He yelled to him, going over to his current location. Aestus face palmed, and followed suit with his axe in hand.
"We don't have time for this, Bastion. Please stop this so we can finish the mission and all return home," he said to him, speaking empathetically.

Bastion suddenly deactivated before reactivating and reentering recon configuration, his visor was blue instead of red. "Oh, I am so, so sorry", he said, looking at Aestus I...I'll explain this later. He said, walking back to the clearing.

Link was about to ask the strange woman where he was, when someone appeared from nowhere and struck a tree.
A few trees, actually.
Several strange creatures darted from various places away from the figure.
"Are you alright?"

Reinhardt looked at link, wondering what kind of person dressed like that before saying "I'm fine, who are you?" as he got up. He then checked his armor to make sure it was intact.

Din, he's huge...and wears strange armor...
He didn't say anything but merely studied the man's armor for a while.
Link then held out a hand for the other man to grasp in greeting. "Lincoln Forester, Knight in training for the Kingdom of Hyrule, but you may call me Link."
Then he happened to notice the huge weapon.
"If you don't mind me asking, what metal was your weapon forged with?"

Abakelia's Base, Pobeda

Pobeda cried out in pain as his horn was cut off, flecks of Olive Green blood flying in all directions before he was suddenly blown against a wall, bones shattering from the force of the impact. The Troll was now on the floor, motionless, his body broken and his mind awash with pain, and memories of the past. He could barely hold his eyes open, and his vision was quickly fading, but even so we was able to see Ann charging Ji-Yeong and managed to mutter one faintly audible phrase. "No. Run away, you idiot." Before all went to blackness....

????

All of a sudden, Pobeda felt as though his legs were moving, like he was walking -no- running. He felt like he was running, and he could see trees faintly, he seemed to be in a thick wooded area. He was running through some woods, looking back at what he was running from. It seemed to be other Trolls though he could not quite tell, he just felt terror in his heart and knew he had to run. So he kept running, the images becoming clearer and clearer as he ran, it all looked so familiar to him. The sky seemed blank and empty, like it was just missing entirely. Pobeda felt sheer terror seeping into his soul, but also an anticipation, as if part of him knew what was to come next. His legs began to ache, as he reached what seemed to be the end of the forest. He booked it, using the last ounce of energy he had to push forward and break through the trees, then he stumbled and fell. The clearing was actually a steep hill, ending with a sheer drop off. Pobeda rolled and slid down the uncontrollably, feeling rocks and other debris scrape against his skin and then, he fell. He did not know how long he fell for, it felt like an eternity, but suddenly he felt a hard impact and heard a loud *CRACK* and then, nothing......

Abakelia's Base, Eric

It all happened so fast, one second Pobeda leapt onto Ji-Yeong, then the next second he was down, then Ann went out to help their Troll friend. Eric tried to reach out for her and yelled "Wait! No!" but it was too little, too late. He watched in horror as Ann ran out and was blown away effortlessly by Ji-Yeong's blast, and stopped moving. Eric froze, his heart sinking into his stomach like a stone. He tried to yell for his wife, but no words came out. Panic gripped his soul Oh God. OhGodOhGodOhGod! NO! NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! The young man began to hyperventilate deeply, tears started welling up on his face. Quickly, his shock and horror was replaced with another feeling, anger. He curled his hands into fists, anger and hatred boiling in him, failing to notice Alex checking on Ann in his anger. All around him, the world began moving slower. Bullets hung in the air, yells of his friends died to nothing, and even light ground to a halt. The world stood still around Eric, and he took advantage of it. Eric tried to run towards Ji-Yeong, but it was a struggle to move as time was stopped, and the pain from his wound was not helping much. When he finally reached the Korean girl he left out a flurry of punches as fast as he could (not that fast, all things considered). Each punch was a harder and harder labor as he was quickly tired out by the exertion needed to even move now. Once he was too tired to lift his fists, Eric suddenly made time resume, all of his attacks impacting Ji-Yeong at once. At that moment, Eric collapsed onto the floor, unconscious but alive.

Kadoor sighed and began making her way to the Traveler, stopping when she saw Clairus nearby. She walked up to Clairus, who was clearly lost in thought, and lightly shook her shoulder "Hey, we are about to go check on how Jacob is doing. Of all people, I think you most deserve to see him." Then they were teleported away.

Zalgo's Palace: The Finale

Draigo was pushed back by the tendril Zalgo unleashed on him, but the Marine sliced it off with one fell swoop. "Let us fight His Battles, as He fights the Battle at the end of time," He looked to the others, seeing that they would soon leave, he quickly joined them, still praying "And let us join Him there, for Duty ends not in Death,"

Zalgo's Palace

Samus must have just defeated Mother Brain, because this castle was about to blow up. The moment Camille told James and Damian to teleport everyone out, he nodded. "Sounds like a plan!"

The next moment, everyone else had vanished from the palace, leaving only Camille and Zalgo. With Victoria no longer there to hold up her shield, Zalgo's beam attack blasted through, but was consumed by the supernova.

"̮Ẃ̈͐̓́̑̾H̜͇ͮ̐̽ͬA̘̤͇̦͙̟̱͛͗T̓͑?͍̜̫̗̟̿̓̏̑ ̥̰̺̾͑͒̇̇͐̚T̲͕͖̖͔̼H͎̲̤̘͓̻͛I̮̣̼͆̓ͮͬS͙͖̲͓̻̲̰ͪ̉̿̊ͭ͂ ̖̻̤͚̑͋͂C̫͍̥̙͎̬̪͗̓̂ͥͯA̜̱ͩ̍̌͂̔ͮͥN̯̼͈̜̙̾ͅN̯̠̞͚̮Ó͚̣̇̄T̗̐̓̎̀ ͙̬͈̥͙͙͕ͥͤ̃̎̒B͔͍͍͚̟͖̰̄ͩ̂ͤE̊̇ͨ̎!͓̭̫̣̭̦ͧ͊͛̅ ͉̚N̞͗̏̆͑͂͑̚O̺̱̮̜̙̜̪̊ͯ̄!̣̫̬̬̝̘͗̂̍ͪͨ̾"

Camille's light filled the chamber, shining through every panel of glass that made up the palace. Zalgo's corruption was engulfed, then Zalgo himself, then the entirety of his palace.

Ṉ̖̰̠͇̗̾ͬ͌̌ͩO̮͕͙̼͈̝̅ͦÕ͇̱̭̩̳͔̥ͩ̔ͭOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The Woods

The heroes appeared back in the woods, where they had previously fought against the Scarlet Chorus. The fire had died down, but the ashes and the charred remains of trees and mages still remained.

"Alright... is everyone okay?" James said, looking around the group, making sure that everyone was taken by either himself or Damian. Obviously, Camille was not present. In the distance, the group was able to see a massive ball of white light that peaked over the treetops. After only a few seconds, the sphere collapsed, leaving the group to see what exactly Camille had done.

"Come on!" James motioned everyone to move forward, quickly running off in the direction of the now vanished sphere. It wasn't long until everyone had reached the aftermath of the supernova.

"I didn't know... Camille was able to do something like this" James muttered, left in complete awe. Where Zalgo's palace once was, there was now a massive crater. All signs of corruption had been erased from the area, leaving it ready to be restored to its former liveliness. At the center of the crater, of course, was Camille.

"And... she's okay! No way!" The Halfblood jumped down, sliding down the steep incline of the crater. Once he reached the bottom, however, he stopped.

"You've got to be kidding me..."

It was barely noticeable, but as James came closer, he was able to clearly see it. Right beside Camille at the bottom of the crater, a pool of a bubbling, crimson fluid began to surface. The puddle suddenly began to quickly expand, large enough for the rest of the heroes to see.

"You just can't stay down, can you?" James remarked as the fluid began to rise up, taking an amorphous, pulsating form. Thin tendrils of dark energy began to flail from the bubbling mass before a single, bloody eye peered through the darkness.

Abe commanded the woodland creatures to disperse, reuniting with the rest of the group. "So where we headin' from now, fellers?"

"We're coming with Aestus and F-5."

Konrad, meanwhile, started to wake up. "Ugh? Who..where am I?" He then noticed Peter's arm around him. "Let me go! I demand it! Aetherus won't forgive you guys!"

Julian sighed. "Please calm down...by the way, Aestus, where are we going?"

Cascabel then realized he didn't know how to work it. He clenched his teeth as he could only wait for Terry to wake up.

Don Roith
Imperial Palace Grounds

The Phoenix whom Ackerman had bayoneted in the face attempted to hack at the bodyguard despite having had a blade run straight through her cheek, but spasmed violently and fell backwards, the blade having cut something in her brain.

"For elite soldiers, they seem to be dying pretty easily", Ceiji remarked dryly, drawing her sabre. Almost as if she had jinxed something, a Phoenix made an attempt to stab Ceiji from the side, only for the vastly faster and more agile former staff-sergeant to simply dodge and, in retaliation, make an attempt at slicing off the female warrior's sword arm.

As the evening sun glinted, and as normal castle guards, of whom here were at least 50, came out into the courtyard to join the Phoenixes in fighting the intruders, Ceiji's eye darted to an insignia on the red metal of her opponent's armour. It was a universally legible insignia: three chevrons and a wreath.

"Staff sergeant, hm?"

Ceiji grinned, as the Phoenix darted backwards, drew a sword flower in the air, and adopted a hard, defensive stance against her opponent.

"Leave this one to me, folks", she said to the others.

"Scheinemirianas guc doriano thendias yoibanier xu Dixellexies thei Nizangar", declared the Phoenix staff sergeant, raising her blade and readying herself as Ceiji leapt forward and swung her sabre ferociously.

...

Inside the Palace

"Oi. Caliban."

Ariel was promptly greeted to the sight of the humanoid thing standing at the balcony forlornly, gazing out at the horizon, his wrists still cuffed behind his back. For once, Caliban wasn't defecating or urinating, but what surprised Ariel more was something else.

"Oh, we are trapped", lamented Caliban to himself, as the airy spirit hovered in the doorway, his ghostly figure translucent. "The sound of battle rises from below. What chance have we at escape, us lowly mortals? Everything is vanity!"

The poetry of Caliban's lamentation struck Ariel, for he, like most of the others, had rightly assumed the pathetic creature was of a brutish mind, incapable of rational and beautiful language or, for that matter, anything beyond blind servitude to Master Brexit. What Ariel heard proved the belief entirely wrong.

"Ariel", gurgled the wretched humanoid, turning to face the airy spirit. "What choice do we have? Release my bonds, and let us flee!"

"I will release your bonds", Ariel replied, "but we will not flee."

Caliban's expression soured.

"You dipshit, I thought I trusted you!" He screamed, stamping his feet in anger and, at the same time, farting violently. "Why the Dickens would you stay with those old cucks!?"

"Because I owe them my freedom."

With that, Ariel drew a circle of blue light in the air and cut the cuffs holding Caliban's hands together.

"We've got work to do."

...

South Gate of Don Roith

Though the city was in the process of being taken over by the massive Nizangar Empire force, it didn't stop 16-year-old LCP Yūma Hirano of the Niril Republic's exiled military's intelligence unit from storming the recently retaken South Gate.

Ignoring the fact that Hirano, along with a few of the men under his command, were little more than children in uniform (the youngest was barely 13), the Nizangar soldiers attempted to fire at them, only for Hirano to fight back even more ruthlessly and indiscriminately; as he drew his emerald-tinted blade with his right hand, the boy withdrew, from his pocket, a paper talisman with charms written in red ink, hurling it straight at the gate. The weight on the talisman found its mark on one of the soldiers standing in front of the gate, and in the blink of an eye, the entire structure had dissolved into a gruesome red sludge, leaving behind only a few moist, gory skeletons.

"Send in a Rexil", ordered Hirano calmly, sheathing his sword. "Now is a good time to test out our prototype human weapon."

The remaining Nizangar soldiers, along with a Phoenix or two, attempted to fight back the Nirillians who had blown up the South Gate, but were promptly stopped in their tracks by the sight of a young private in uniform, roughly 20 years old, stepping past LCP Hirano and holding up a talisman with a long needle attached, which he then used to impale himself straight through the heart, sticking the paper to his chest.

Yūma Hirano looked on stoically.

The transformation was gruesome. At first, the only outward change was that the young soldier choked and gagged, spitting out blood excruciatingly as the needle punctured his heart. Then, as the words on the talisman glowed an ominous purple, his body began sprouting scales and spikes, his eyes bulging in even more horrendous agony and dribbling trails of blood. Gradually, his scleras turned yellow, and before anyone even knew it, the man was a giant lizard.

"You see, Chimaera", Hirano murmured. "We've also been growing stronger, from under the ashes you created..."

"Those guys are delusional. There's no way the thirteen of them are going to be able to fight off all the invaders and escape with their lives."

"Are you sure, sensei?"

"My hawks have spotted not just Nizangar troops, but soldiers from a different dimension who are bent not on destroying the old capital, but eliminating these twelve heroes."

"..."

"Justin, come here for a moment."

"Yes, sensei?"

"Take seven dragons, and go rescue them. Bring them to our dojo."

"But sensei, the Empire will-"

"That's a risk I'm willing to take. I'm making a bet on a new age."

Cascabel then realized he didn't know how to work it. He clenched his teeth as he could only wait for Terry to wake up.

Zalgo's Palace

When Damian got the word from his father he along with the half blood made everyone but Camille teleport away from the eldritch citadel. When everyone appeared in the woods; the fire has died down leaving behind the stench of burnt flesh and wood, ash being picked up by the wind and flying across the charred ruins of the woods, and black smoke covering the blue skies and the rays of the sun, casting a shadow that was slowly being dissipated as the smoke began to break away.

Just as the rays of the sun began to come back down on the woods the group would see a bright light come from the palace to show that Camille has succeed on her task and engulf the palace. Damian let out a whistle "When she said she was gonna blow the place up she wasn't kidding. Remind me to stay on her good side." Marie nodded as she and her son return back to their normal forms. When they saw the crater that once was the sight of the palace, awed at what the demi-goddess accomplished with her powers.

However soon the two saw that Zalgo was still alive and quickly James not only attacked but finally destroyed the being of corruption once and for all. Seeing the death of Zalgo made the group celebrate knowing that he won't be around to cause them trouble. James would soon have his son give him a hug after he teleport to his location. "That was awesome dad!" he said. Soon Marie would join in the hug. "That was wonderful work James. Now we never have to worry about Zalgo spreading his corruption to the multiverse."

"I don't know? I never taken on this many enemies before." Strange yelled from the air as he brought down a whip at the face of one of the phoenixes. Strange being high up made it diffcult for the phoenixes to hit him as many options were removed on how to deal with him. Some tried to use spears but they quickly became worthless when he simply rose further up in the air away from the spear's reach and those that tried to throw them at him found that not even the strongest members within their ranks can make the spears fly high enough to reach Strange.

The only ones left to be used against him were archers and crossbow users who fired arrows at him but the sorcerer either dodged the arrows or summon magical shields to protect himself from the arrows. Strange used his eldritch magic to transmute the arrows on some of the archers into venomous snakes that bit the women, making most deal with the serpents and rushing to treat the wounds the serpents made and the venom now coursing through their bodies.

When Strange saw Ceiji and Itona finally arrived he was glad to see that they were now ready to join the group, Strange didn't see that an arrow was flying towards him from behind but his cape grabbed the arrow and threw it back at the archer, hitting her at the right eye and going deep into her brain. Strange decided to use the eldritch magic of Gnosis that he learned in the Aquila and after performing a few gestures and reciting an incantation in a alien sounding language he casted a spell that made one of the women go mad, he did this with several others.

Most screamed as madness cloud their minds, some fell down in the fetal position and cried to themselves while others enter a berserker rage, attacking everything around them including their own sisters in battle. Strange frown as he felt that the spell he just used felt as though it should be forbidden to be used but from what he was told was legal to be used. The part of him that was a doctor and a neurosurgeon at that, of course mostly hated the fact that he was inflicting a terrible mental illness upon people, the macabre irony was not lost on Strange. The keyword is almost, these women want him dead and the curse is temporary.

As more arrows flew at him and were stopped by his cape Strange was forced out of his mental debate about the moral use of magic as he cast yet another curse on the archers that tried to kill him.

As one of the archers was ready to fire an arrow at Strange a bullet tore through her helmet and skull, flying through both to hit another on the shoulder. If one were to follow the path of the bullet they would find a window with a small hole on it and behind it Hex carrying her modular rifle now in the form of a sniper rifle. Hex took aim and fired at yet another archer and a third on a spearwoman.

She can see from the other phoenixes that none of them were sure on what was killing their sisters as the internal silencer made sure that none can hear the sound of her rifle going out and Hex was not using a laser sight to give them a clue as to where her location was and she doubts anyone can see the holes being formed in the windows.

Every time Hex takes a shot she also ducks for cover to hide from the enemy while giving her a short break from conflict. As she rises out of cover she looks through the telescopic sight and searches for her latest target. Once Hex was sure she can take the shot she fires and most times she usually hits the mark, a few statues having holes and bullets lodging in the ground shows that Hex's aiming while skillful was not super human.

Don Roith
Imperial Palace

Palace Garden

The duel between Ceiji and her Phoenix counterpart lasted for the greater part of ten minutes, ending with the latter having both her hands sliced off by Ceiji in a clean, incredibly lucky sweep enabled by a careless opening. Kicking her disarmed opponent aside into a bush, the former immigration officer whirled around, only to see a much larger battalion of regular troops marching into the palace courtyard, replacing the Phoenixes in fighting against the few there.

"Shit."

Although at least fifteen of the regular troops had been dispatched, the battalions stretched out as far as the eye could see, beyond the city gates and out into the plains.

"It's about time we retreat, yes?" said Anastasia, leaping upwards and kicking off the chest of a Nizangar Empire soldier, before running back towards the doors of the Imperial Palace. "We can hole ourselves up in the palace and think of something else to do..."

"We're all just going to die in there!" Itona objected.

Koizumi winked.

"Portals", he said.

"They've encircled the city with talismans, you dumb bastards", Ceiji retaliated, sheathing her sword and turning to go back into the palace. "There's no way we can get-"

It was then that she was grabbed from behind by a pair of armour-clad, handless, bleeding arms. Before she knew it, the Phoenix commander whom she had maimed and thrown aside had sunk her teeth into her shoulder, straight through her uniform, in a last ditch attempt to retaliate against her opponent.

"You lousy, stinking..."

The doors of the palace were thrown open, and from within, as the figure of Ariel drawing a white pentagram in the air, a powerful gust of wind tore down the path, past Anastasia, Itona and Ceiji, tearing the Phoenix off Ceiji's shoulder and into the ranks of endless regular army battalions, straight into the approaching armies.

As the front lines of the approaching armies staggered in the face of the gale spell, the figures of Zi-xiang, Lester, and Fukuda emerged, two out of three armed with swords. Their jaws dropped upon seeing the troops approaching.

"Junichirō-san! Ackerman! Everyone! Get in", cried Fukuda, waving a large piece of parchment with a note written on it with his free hand. "I've got big news for y'all!"

...

Barricaded inside the palace

To the thirteen heroes of our age,

There is no hope of you escaping from the castle alive on your own.

It is not just the Nizangar troops who have surrounded your position. There is a second force that has infiltrated Don Roith, and it is a force of tremendous evil. It possesses a power that, if released, has the potential to dethrone God.

I have sent my children to rescue you. They should arrive in ten minutes at most.

Do not fight the force I speak of, if you can help it. They appear to be just children, but it is a mask for evil.

Godspeed.

Takanuva's speech annoyed Daniel, it really did but he didn't want to waste energy trying to argue at the naïve words expressed by Takanuva. Letting the enemy live was something you could easily live to regret and many times don't have the luxury to. Moving his hand down to the pack which hung on the belt of his uniform, he opened it and a flash of light occurred inside the pack. Reaching inside, he pulled out two white carrots. They weren't carrots of course and he gave one to Maria before taking a bite out of the other.

Maria showed a face of disgust "Y'know I hate these things."

"We all do but they give energy. Ya think we would ever eat them otherwise?' Daniel replied.

Maria gave out a sigh before starting to eat the white carrot.

Slowly rising up with the help of Maria, Daniel came to his feet and shivered as he shoved the last of the white carrot in his mouth. Placing the butt of his rifle into his armpit, he used it as a makeshift crutch to keep him steady as the two made their way to the group.

Upon reaching the group, Maria spoke saying "Same question, where are we going Aestus? or I guess F-5 would be the one to answer that question." She had her scythe leveled across her shoulder ready in case of another attack.

I'll edit in parts for the woods and Kanto region soon.

Saturn Requiem

Star paused for a second, lost by the fact Ignis and a few of the others want to aboard a dangerous unstable AI’s ship, and the fact she let out Eridan on purpose to kill him to not known to the rest of the heroes. This whole day is super bizarre, as the sense of time is longer than actuality and a load of insanity happened. The worst part, she hasn’t told Serena about her issues, where to go after Earth kick her out and Star not allowing them to examine her entire ship, and their future. In truth, she had nowhere to go and the old commander’s family didn’t need her to stick around as their generation moved on without much memories of Star. The Forerunners in this era are much different from she know, and she won’t fit in a peaceful society. Many worlds will hunt down the Saturn to take Star’s database and her technology to alter society for better, worse, or villainy. The fact she follows a pragmatic to villainess ideals is well… flawed. Then it hit the AI: Ignis baby is still in the newly created nursery.

“If you have no interest in seeing Conundrum, then you’re welcome aboard to the Saturn.” Star said to them.

In a flash of pink light, the three found themselves beamed back into the ethereal and otherworldly sleek bridge of the Saturn. The obvious stand out was the massive clean up from the previous brawls, and the farewells announcements for the Pokemon crew. All is there left to support the varieties systems to synthetic robots who are seemly human. A hologram of catgirl version of Star appeared in front of the group, somewhat nervous surprising, and looked at the group. “Please be aware that the Pokemon World does intent in supporting the Multiversal Alliance with Aegis and the Avengers. However, due to budget cuts in the multiversal defense funds and other reforms, I no longer serve Earth. Given that the big threats like Sailor Galaxia and Infinity are gone, this is logical as an immediate danger doesn’t looms over the world.” Star addressed. “Of course, Octavius and this people are such an enigma, Earth and I have no true idea of most of their abilities and power.”

Star straighten her composure. “Regardless, welcome aboard to the Saturn. I shall help accommodate any of your needs.” She then looked at Quetz. “Of course, I do have some questions if you’re willing to answer Quetz.”

The Woods

Finally, after the epic long emotional roller coaster and sudden escalations against multiversal fiends, the nonstop conflict have ceased. At last, the Baker family can find solace in this world without fear of another attack and a dramatic shift.

Blissey bounce back and forward in celebration as Rosa hopped in full cheerful mood towards the group. “Oh that’s easy to explain guys. The shining pure light body she’s in is her divine mode. In it, her godly strength increases which can allow her to affect a planet, become apart of light, create life, and can shapeshift into the size of a planet itself. Such awesome power can cause a mess, and lure weird things who want to absorb Camille’s power and divine soul. Outside of that, I’m not sure! ” Rosa said.

A flash of light burst out from the giantess, shrinking the holy soul of light down into a human form. “Thank you James for eliminating such an insufferable creature.” Camille smiled. James and the others can see that Camille returned to her true form, wearing a stunning white wedding dress. Blake rushes to embrace her mom, dematerializing her celestial armor to her casual pink hoodie and red skirt, and jump onto Camille. Rosa quickly hopped in to hug Camille too. “That was awesome Camille!” Rosa exclaimed.

“And you made Zalgo so mad before he perish.” Blake snickered deviously.

“Ho ho ho, now girls, my purification supernova was simply to eliminate Zalgo’s palace so no living thing have to continue suffering from its effects and corruption. A demonic horror like zalgo have a trick up their sleeves to survive such devastating blast.” Camille said. She gasped when she notice Terry lying on the ground, and how badly Blake and Rosa are hurt from the battle. “Now Rosa, Blake, let’s help Cascabel out and find a safe place for us to rest.”

“Oh, the fire mage guy's name sounds like a chilli pepper now I think about- Oh my gosh, Terry!” Rosa gasped as she looked back at the scene. “Cascabel, is Terry okay!?” She shouted at him.

To Sine's amazement, Olisi could actually turn invisible similar to her Conceal Essence Ability. As he vanished, Sine simply kept thinking about his tall, handsome figure, his four strong, muscular arms, and his shining eyes. Shaking her head, she muttered to herself, "This is not the time for that."

Anxious to change her mind's subject, she asked, "Does your ability have a recharge time or a time limit?"

"For now, I might just vander vherever Star takes us." Ignis shrugged and took out her amulet. She opened a portal in the Saturn to the Aztec Pantheon. Xochiquetzal appeared at the mouth of the portal. "Ah, Ignis, you have come for her. Well here she is." She handed Terry over to Ignis, who cradled the baby gently.

"Danke. Vas she a handful?" Ignis chuckled.

"No. I enjoy children." She turned to Quetz. "Oh, and also Quetzalcoatl...Quetzalpatecal really-"

"Thank you. Goodbye." He quickly shut down the portal. Ignis turned to him. "Shifu..."

???

Alistair wakes.

He has no idea where he is.

The boy glances around, trying to recognise anything at all about his surroundings through his visor. Of course, when one’s surroundings are an entirely white plane, completely different from the last thing that he can recall, this is rather tricky.

Alistair, compose yourself. There is no need to be alarmed. You have already undergone this once today. Let’s see… I am still wearing my armour, so I remain in the Metaverse. Pillars surrounding me, white colours… This appears to be a classical temple of some kind - almost a clichéd version, in fact.

“I chose well, it seems.”

Alistair turns with a swiftness that surprises even him. On a cylindrical pedestal in the room’s centre sits, cross-legged and close-eyed, a hairless woman with a stoic expression on her face. A woman whose skin is completely white, as is her long, unnaturally smooth dress that covers everything beneath her head - though it takes Alistair a moment to realise this, considering that it’s hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.

The woman opens her eyes, which, somewhat unnervingly, are of a solid, even, dull grey, steps off the pedestal and walks entirely too smoothly towards him. When the woman speaks, it is in the monotone - the exact same note, in fact - that she used before. “Welcome to the Shrine of Concord, of which I am Goddess; my name is Aneris.”

Slowly, Alistair nods and steps forward; this territory is actually vaguely familiar to him. “I see… My name is Alistair Timothy Alexander Paxton - though perhaps you knew that already…” He tentatively extends his hand.

“I did.” Aneris’ expression and voice remain completely expressionless. She takes his hand, shaking it once and then dropping her arm immediately. “I have brought you here to know that you have my favour.” Her stance is still… Oddly so, in fact. She’s also still staring at him. “I am confined here for now. You, I think, may be instrumental in changing that.”

“Your power depends on the masses’ cognition, yes?” Alistair smiles; he knows all of this. “The more people desire unity, desire peace, the more powerful you grow.”

“Yes. You can accomplish this; therefore, I will aid you, though that aid will be limited. You will become my champion.”

“I can support those ideals; I thank you, in fact, for the opportunity.” Alistair smiles widely. Then, thinking that the gesture may be appropriate, he kneels, holding his polearm upright in both hands. “I pledge myself to your service, Aneris. In all that I do, I will seek concord. My skills are yours to command.”

“Good.” If the goddess appreciates it, she doesn’t make a show of demonstrating this. “You must return to your allies. Beforehand, I will send you to the Citadel of the leader of a terrorist cell that seeks to violently overthrow a stable, peaceful and fair government. You must defeat his Shadow; I will make him aware of his Citadel’s potential unanchoring.”

Standing, Alistair nods again, this time with conviction. “It will be done.”

“Good,” Aneris says once more. “Go.”

Then the world changes.

A Citadel

He is inside a room of glass, looking out over a city. He takes a moment to peer out of one of the panes. It resembles… Yes, this does look like Paris. I see the Eiffel Tower. It seems different in pictures, though…

Motion draws Alistair’s eye and he sees what appears to be a small block of troops marching in perfect step down one of the streets. They are dressed in uniforms that he recognises from his A-Level textbook on the French Revolution, the tricorns and blue jackets of the Revolutionary Army, and carrying rifles with bayonets fixed. This is entirely incongruous with what appears to be a completely modern city. Even odder, however, is the fact that accompanying these soldiers, guarding their flanks or flying above them, are dozens of monsters: giant blue Asian dragons, bizarre floating swords and shields, bipedal, wild-furred pandas and a vast and varied array of others.

Are those Shadows? They must be - but they look nothing like any that I’ve seen before…

He shakes his head. Enough time to ponder that later; he is on a mission. In front of him stands a statue, forged from what appears to be steel, of Napoleon.

I notice a theme.

Well, not quite Napoleon - the statue’s visage is different (sharper face, smaller nose). Other than that, though, it resembles almost exactly the French general, down to the epaulets and sabre. Like last time, it is a juxtaposed monster (steel monster statue, to be precise) that is the odd element: vaguely humanoid, wearing a helmet with a strange crest like an upturned moon, two dual-bladed axeheads protruding from its body and spikes on the back of its enlarged forearms.

Strange as that might be, Alistair notices something else behind both statues: a wooden, panelled desk, on which rests a small, gleaming object - a golden cross. That seems to be a good candidate for this Citadel’s Anchor… Thank you, goddess. He smiles gently, closing his eyes and bowing his head. Then he steps forward.

The statue moves, swift as the wind, and brings its sabre to the young man’s throat. It opens its mouth and a voice booms forth: “WHO DARES TRESPASS IN MY DOMAIN?” The monster moves forward to flank him, arm-blades at the ready.

No accent…

Alistair, easily ignoring that intriguing but almost entirely unhelpful thought in favour of focussing completely on the large blade within centimetres of impaling him, tries for a bluff. “A friend to your cause!” He moves back and brings his left gauntlet to his breastplate, clanging the two together and crying “Vive l’Emperor!” before immediately wincing at his mangled and, in light of his previous discovery, potentially illogical French.

“IF YOU ARE A FRIEND, DROP YOUR WEAPON AND SHOW ME THE MAN BEHIND THAT VISOR!”

Drat. Complying is too great a risk - far too great.

Better to accept the inevitable and act now.

Inside his helm, Alistair grins. I suppose that that isn’t too great a loss.

The Persona user launches himself into a backflip, catching the statue by surprise, and with a cry of, “Coriolanus, to me!” lands on his feet, the Roman warrior blazing into existence behind him.

Today has been far too strange for my liking, I think; it’s high time that I do something that I understand.
