"Being trapped in a well for an afterlife? Worse places to be in after death I suppose." She said with a shrug, thinking of several realms that act as afterlives for spirits of the dead and how each one was terrible in their own special way. "Night of Eternal Darbkess? Bit redundant don't you think? Going to guess that these damn dirty apes don't put much effort on being creative with names." As Cynder told her more about this event the more it sounds like a few dooms day plots she stopped in the past, seriously trying to weaken the veil between the physical and empheral worlds is so common that it's a walking cliche by now.
"Oh don't say that, maybe I may surprise you and become best mates with the bloke." The sarcastic Mage replied. With the weaknesses revealed that left whatever pyromancy spells she k it's and exorcisms and banishmnet spells. She can try to bind the sprites to her well and maybe even summon soul eating beings but she doubts her team mates will like that. So with no choice those forms of magic will have to do along with testing out her new weapons.
"The Apes are not creative about anything really. They lack any simblance of what we would call civilization...at least as far as we know. As far as recorded history goes, we have only known them to be savage and warlike. The Well draws only those who's souls turned to darkness...and it inprisons them there. That eclipse weakens those binds enough to let them walk within the ruins in the mountain, as well as weakening the barriers between our world and the spirit realm. No one knows why it does this, I doubt even The Chronicler knows. He is the oldest living dragon in our world....he who monitors the passage of time and records all that happens. He is everywhere and nowhere....and he can invade your mind through your dreams. His lair is at a place we call the White Isle. There, in a place we call the Celestial Caves, he has a vast library recounting the entire history of my kind, every other race, every event to happen, and the life story of every dragon to have ever lived. He can tell you anything about our world....but you have to pass tests before you can access his repository of knowledge."
