Barely had Strange and Cain finished their explanation on what was going on when a swift rapping on the door jolted everybody out of their almost trance-like discussion. Henry quickly responded with an inquiry. "Who's that? What do you want?"
"It'th me, Bleedjen", came the voice of the innkeeper from the other side of the door. "You guyth have got... a very important vithitor."
Henry got up and opened the door. By the time the door was opened completely, Bleedjen had disappeared, and the only one in the door was a tall man, almost the same height as Henry, clad in a set of shabby black clothes and with a restless monkey perched on his shoulder, attempting to nibble at his long, greasy hair. By his side, he carried a long sabre.
"Who are you?" Henry asked, confused.
"I am the Guardian of the Sea", the man answered.
"Holy..."
"Ithil sent me here", Gehrnam explained. "He told me that you are all trustworthy people, and that I can open the third gateway to the Greater Multiverse for you to bring your ship through.
"There's... a third gateway?" Samuel scratched his head.
"Yes", Akita Sr replied on behalf of Gehrnam. "It's hidden because the Guardians don't fully trust most of the people trying to come through."
"Basically", explained Gehrnam, "we three guardians each protect one gateway. Ithil, Guardian of the Sky, protects the Sky gate, which is the one you three came from. I, Gehrnam, protect the Sea Gate, the only gate that's large enough to bring ships through. And Balta, Guardian of the Land, protects the Land gate. He's long since resorted to simply killing anybody who comes through his gate, because pretty much everyone who comes in from that end is a crazy terrorist."
Henry and Samuel nodded in affirmation.
"Tell us, Gehrnam", asked Frederick calmly. "When will we get to bring the ship over?"
"Tomorrow morning, at 10am", Gehrnam replied. "I'll be waiting at the beach for you guys. You'll know which one. Do not be late."
With that, Gehrnam tipped his hat to the rest, and then walked out, closing the door behind him as he went. The room fell into silence for a moment.
"I think I like Ithil more", Henry said, half-jokingly. "And I won't even bother to try and imagine what Balta is like."
"Let's just go sleep", said Samuel tersely, standing up, taking off his hoodie, and tossing it onto a chair, before climbing onto a sofa and lying down supine, his arms coiled round his cello case. "We'll all have to wake up at 6am tomorrow so we won't be late. I don't think I want to piss him off." By the time his last word had left his mouth, Samuel had already fallen asleep, snoring loudly and drooling to boot.
"Think I'll do just that", declared Henry, yawning loudly and heading for the shower room. "First, a quick rinse."
...
11:45 PM
"Yocchi... go to sleep."
With everybody else asleep, only Akita Sr was left awake. He had stood up, left his makeshift bed on the floor (consisting entirely of a pile of bathrobes and the floor's carpet), and was about to leave the room when he noticed Seishirō, sitting upright on his sofa on the other side of the room from where Samuel was sleeping.
"I can't sleep..."
Akita walked over to where the boy sat, sitting down on the other end of the short sofa and looking him in the eyes, his own eyes glinting peacefully in the moonlight.
"All of what you said... about my real father, and all that... why are we going through all of this?" A tear formed at the corner of his eye.
"That's not for us to know", said the old man quietly, shifting closer to the boy. "But remember this; I love you regardless of all that. Regardless of who your biological father is, what he's done, what Gōmasa Hayashi has done. I don't care about any of that any longer. You are my son."
Silence fell upon the entire room. Samuel continued snoring on his couch; still, even in sleep, he clutched his cello case tightly.
"Thank you..." Seishirō smiled weakly, and allowed the tears to roll down his cheeks. "...for everything..."
"Sleep, now", Akita commanded lightly, lifting the blanket over his son's body. "Tomorrow, a new future awaits us with these men whom Destiny has sent our way."
...
6:00 AM
Despite the restless air of anticipation following the words of Gehrnam the previous night, most of the group had slept very well. Their biological clocks (and Henry's smartphone) didn't fail them the next morning, and save for Samuel, who tossed and turned till around 6:10 AM, everybody woke up and showered on time.
By 6:20 AM, Henry had returned the keys to Bleedjen, and the group, now consisting of nine people, was on its way.
First of all, just as the sun began to poke above the horizon, Akita Sr headed back to his restaurant to check on Rinjirō Sakakibara and Ueda.
His fears the night before had been confirmed. Ueda was nowhere to be found, as was Rinjirō Sakakibara. The only thing that gave Sora Akita some idea of what had happened was the fact that a pair of severed hands lay on the ground in a pool of partially coagulated blood. Judging from the skin tone and the wedding ring (both of which Akita had taken note of earlier), the two severed hands belonged to Sakakibara.
It seemed that Ueda had cut off the zaibatsu boss' hands and sent him off somewhere. What really happened was a mystery. No doubt, though, whoever had sent Sakakibara was going to come after them, sooner or later, once he had caught wind of what was going on.
Once Akita had returned to the group, after closing down the restaurant for good with a few planks across the door (but not before taking two bags of food supplies and extra clothes both for himself and for his son), they set off for the beach Gehrnam promised to meet them on.
10:00 AM(Image)
"Gentlemen! You're just on time!"
As they arrived at the beach, Gehrnam emerged from the waters, his monkey still perched on his shoulder, standing before them with his feet planted deep into the sand.
"Now, unlike the other gateways, the Sea gate has no fixed location on the other end", Gehrnam explained. "Rather, I am the only one who can create portals here. So all you need to do is to give me a description of your ship, or preferably a picture of it, and then you sit back and wait for ten minutes."

"But for the time being, I'll take this" James said as he reached for the spear and grabbed it, pocketing the crystal afterwards. "I need something to defend myself with" He wrote a reminder in his mind to stab the crystal the first instant he is out of this universe.
After the man– Manny –explained how he was an angel that wanted to free his people from bondage, the conversation turned to a magic called sympathetic magic, which uses one's name against them. Although one's name is powerful, it did not worry James at all. "I understand, but I have no reason to worry. I thought you already knew, Marie, but James Butler is not my real name"
Just like his old friend the Doctor, James always went by an alias, of which he had many: the Jumper, the Nomad, the Maverick, and now the mundane James Butler. "And I don't plan on revealing any time soon. A Timelord's name on it's own is powerful, and this 'sympathetic magic' gives me less of a reason to reveal it" That didn't stop Manny, from casting a protection sigil on them, and the Halfblood had to bite his lip to keep himself from yelping like a fox.
The two Halfbloods soon found themselves back in Metropolis, where they will find the first magic McGuffin: the hilt and pommel of the sword. Hopefully it wasn't broken into too many pieces, and whoever is going to repair it will repair James' pen as well. He followed Marie by teleporting from one patch of land to another until they encountered some unexpected guests: a spaceship who apparently knew that they were Halfbloods. A voice from the ship asked what they were doing here.
"We?" James motioned to Marie and himself. He knew that he couldn't say what they were doing, or what they were looking for. "We're just tourists. Nothin' like a good city to sightsee, no? How about what you are doing here?"

What?! How dare this little creature deflect its attack! 00-1 screeched in annoyance at the sword Pokemon, and it lunged at it violently to keep up the assualt. However the combined assault of diamonds, mystic soundwaves, and snow blew it backwards. It recovered from the blow, shaking the ice off of itself, only to be met with fire from the Roserade.
00-1 roared with furry at the group of Pokemon, and then it unleashed a blast of sound that would feel like a physical blow, knocking them all backward. It followed up its attack by firing another huge energy blast from its mouth at the Pokemon. Next the beast was hit with the combined power of Frisk and Papyrus. With annoyance it struggled against the light armor entraping several of its arms, all while growling at the people shooting it with their guns.
And then madness broke out when Elizabeth's creatures struck. When their assault ended, 00-1 rose back up, the same dark smoke poring out of its wounds. Then something strange happened. The smoke began to gather over the wounded areas of the beast, and then quickly manifested into new flesh. The beast was healing itself!
Hanzo growled in annoyance while D. Va screeched at the beat in her native tounge. "Dirty heal-hacker!" She yelled at it in English now, pelting it with fusion cannon shots, while Hanzo nocked another arrow."Clear away from it now!" The former Shimada lord ordered, causing the Judge to quickly scamper away from the beast as fast as his little legs could carry him. Hanzo drew his arrow back as mystic energy flowed into it.
"Ryu ga wagga teki wo kurau!" Hanzo shouted as he let his arrow fly. As usual it exploaded in mid-air and two blue dragons spiraled out of the explosion, engulfing 00-1. The beast cried out in rage and pain as its flesh desolved from the force of the Shimada dragons. However even that was not enough, as it healed just as quickly as the dragons destroyed it.
Hanzo gasped."N-not possible.... NOT POSSIBLE! How could it survive the dragons?!" He demanded. "This thing is like no creature I've ever seen before. I'm not sure how we can stop it!" The Doctor remarked, suddenly turning when he heard a new voice near him. "Oh! Hello there! You picked a bad time to pop in I'm afraid, as we're most likely about to die." The Time Lord said to the newcomer, earning a panicked look from Hana."Not helping!" she exclaimed as she went back to desperately pelting 00-1 with shots.
Planet Popstar
What a curious place this was.
This world's atmosphere contained a substance that caused it to glow bright yellow from space, yet it was like any ordinary world on the surface with oceans, landmasses, and oxygen. Another strange feature of this world was its shape. The world looked like a giant five-pointed star surrounded by two rings. This was a truely curious place.
And it was lovely... So very lovely.
The female-shaped android that was known as "The Patron" scanned the horrizon of an orange ocean, admiering the glorious sunset that was taking place before her optic sensors.
No... My eyes. The Patron reminded herself. Her creators had made her to think, to feel... To love. She had to remind herself constantly that she was no mere machine.
She was alive.
Her people were known as the Altenians; a nobel and peacful race of science and discovery. At least until the great tragedy struck. A virus previously known and lost to time had accidentally been released from an ancient cave system from long ago, and it quickly wiped the Altenians out. But not before both The Patron and her companion were created and sent away, filled with the knowledge of the once nobel Altenians.
And so The Patron and her companion "The Codex" wandered throughout space, exploring every corner of reality and learning. They learned many things both from the universe around them, and from eachother, including the ever-so-complicated emotion of love.
How could it be possible that two machines could fall in love? Because we're not machines. We're living beings, The Patron reminded herself, gazing up at the now dark sky filled with clouds.
It wouldn't be long until her companion and lover returned from the other side of the planet with the data he had collected from this world, and The Patron could think of nothing more enjoyable than sharing the knowledge that they had both obtained from their travels.
Yes, this world truely was curious, and so very lovely.

“Yeah, they make games and there is a branch back in Unova.” Iris crossed her arms, and figured it is best not to tell Muffet about what Game Freak is. If she does, then it will be looking at two mirrors side by side, and create an infinite inception. Like people play Pokemon back home in real life, video games doing what Pokemon trainers do, and the video game characters play pokemon too and so on. Add the multiverse as a cherry on top, and Ta-dah!
Iris turned to the Ice King and raised an eyebrow. If Finn the human and Jake the dog ever show up, he’s going to have a ridiculous and badd time. Where’s Gunter anyway? He probably didn’t meet his little companion yet.“Hey bud. I believe you’ll do well with a penguin pal one day.” Iris chuckled.
“Sounds like a plan Tadoyoshi.” Iris lowered her expression but turn that frown upside down.”me and dragonite will bash those fighters to the ground. Not a problem!”
As the pretty dressed champion head out to the rooftop airlock, she mused on how if the Star and the rest of her comrades from Unova were here, such task would be a bit easier. Iris knew she is up to the task, but this isn’t really a Pokemon battle and the foes are using fighter craft. But this isn’t really too bad, as her trustly and tough Dragonite can get to speeds up to mach two. Iris petted her sweet dragon, who then surprised her as he picked her up in his arms.
“Wow there Dragonite, easy now.” Iris chuckled. “We have a lot of baddies to beat down, but careful alright?” She fondles his head. “I’ll be riding you like in one of those fantasy movies, or Game of thrones to be exact.”
Dragonite huffed and smirked, ready to charge and meet the enemy head on. Iris climbed her dragon and took a seat on his back. There was one minor adjustment; quick and easy rope safety saddle, all strapped on. “Alright Dragonite, let’s go! Oh, I got your wing mate right here.” Iris grinned as she held Hydreigon's ball.
The dragon princess and Dragonite swoop out of the ship, and landed next to Gold and Ty. The black skinned girl enjoyed the wind blowing against her long ponytail, and she quickly tossed out Hydreigon into the field. Just as the brutal Pokemon came out, Iris’ Sylveon gleefully existed her pokeball to snuggle her boyfriend’s cheeks and mount him. The fearsome dragon stopped his sinister roars, blushing as Sylveon simply smiled, and Iris getting a good laugh out of it.

"Ugh, I feel like everything is falling out from under us right now." Poeda's voice echoed through the halls of the former Dersite Palace, now mostly vacant due to the death of the Queen. The young Troll now walked its purple halls with his most trusted companion, debating their next move.
"It can't be that bad. I know a few things went wrong, but I just think you're blowing things out of proportions right now." spoke Kadoor beside him. Their group had run into some problems recently, namely two of their more uncooperative members throwing a proverbial wrench into their plans in a major way. "They set our plans back days, maybe weeks! Now the Prospitans will never help us with a murdered monarch and a destroyed palace! All because two idiots decided they needed to overthrow the "tyrannical" Queen and free the people of Prospit! The plan hinged on us getting Prospit on our side and they ruined it!" he then rubbed his brow in frustration. "But you didn't have to beat them up like you did. Now those two will probably hate you even more." Suddenly the room seemed to glow, and when it faded the two were gone.
Japan, Earth
There was a bright flash of light, once it faded the figure of Pobeda stood in the field as snow fell. The Olive Blood looked around and saw a battle beginning in the skies far above. "Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, I get dropped in the middle of a warzone." Pobeda stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets started walking, seeing what seemed like a crash site in the distance, along with some soldiers. As he closed in on the wreck he noticed the snow near the cockpit red with blood, and a small trail moving away from it.
The TARDIS, Borg Planet
A bright flash of light appeared in the TARDIS, fading to reveal Kadoor now aboard. The Troll glanced around the TARDIS quickly, confusion painted on his face. "Wh-what? Where am I?" she shook her head a little and noticed someone else there. "Uh, hello. Who might you be? What is this place? And uh, how did I get here?"

As the strike team entered the landing craft one-by-one, they would be met by another Warframe sitting seiza style in the center. Dresdas' voice came from the on-board speakers. "Please, sit wherever you feel most comfortable. In a moment, the bombing run will commence, and the Operator will kill everyone at the drop-point they choose. Oh, it's been so long since we've had a person that wasn't the Operator on board!"
When all of the strike team was aboard, the ship moved with a lurch, causing those still standing up on the ship to stumble back. "Please, come back covered in blood! Preferably not your own, but whatever works!" A series of explosions were heard, as bombs detonated against the enemy ship. After a moment, the sitting Warframe stood up and rushed to the entrance compartment, and locked herself onto its magnetic clamps, and it swiveled down. After a moment, screams were heard, along with the sounds of gunfire. The ones who would come after would see the remains of her bloody trail of violence.

Somewhat unnerved by the voice from the ship's seeming glee at blood and death, Ann followed the Warframe down and out of the landing craft. She became immediately queasy upon sight of Tenno's handiwork; Ann had never seen that much blood before. She decided to hover the rest of the battle to avoid stepping in the puddles of the stuff, and once she got into the air, she soared toward the Warframe and joined the fray. "Hey, uh, Tenno?" she asked, deflecting a bullet into the ground with a blast of high-speed air and slamming its shooter into the wall with another gust. "Do you have to be so, I don't know, brutal about it?" She blew back a whole line of enemies and threw their weapons away from them. "I mean, look at me! I'm not, uh, slicing anybody up, and it's working just fine. See?" A miniature cyclone now tore down the way, knocking enemies into each other and against walls, leaving them unable to fight. Ann smiled. "Totally nonlethal."

"They're in!" Alex said, watching the fight on her GPS from the camera on Ann's uniform. "Oh, Ann's gonna need therapy." Marcus said, watching from over Alex's shoulder. "Everybody ready to go? The way they're blasting through those guys, it won't be long before the safe zone is established." "Got my laser gun and Kevlar, so I'm as ready as I'll ever be." "Ya soglasen." Ivan said. "I am ready for fight." "So am I." Joshua half-growled, and left it at that. "Alright then," Alex said, looking back at the livefeed of the battle. "Now we just have to wait for a signal."
