His attempt at showing off his rifle's power without overtly bragging about it.

It might have also been because he didn't have any less destructive weapons.

Maybe it's also because he's an idiot?

Eridan really isn't an idiot. Most fanon depictions of him make him seem like some kind of hopeless flirt who just can't find romance, and in the end, is just sort of useless and defunct. The thing is, he really doesn't care about his quadrants all that much. He was completely over Feferi by the time Murderstuck and Gamzeequest rolled around, and to be fair, that was only a few weeks. He handled a breakup much better than most people would have.

The problem is though, everyone ELSE, his friends, his enemies, they all thought that he DID care, even when he didn't. That was why he got so frustrated about his previous moirailliance and potential matespiritship. Frankly, nobody would let go of the fact that he used to be Feferi's moirail. He was legitimately thankful to Kanaya for making him the wand, and he really was quite a "bro" to Karkat. While talking to Kanaya and Karkat, he even made a specific point of distancing himself from his relationships. Sure, he was sort of down about Nepeta rejecting him, but that was because it was among a whole host of other problems.

To be fair, Eridan really was quite downtrodden by the rest of the trolls, since nobody paid any attention to him. He had the hardest time in the game, not meeting anyone, and by far fighting the strongest enemies. Sure, Vriska and Aradia beat the crap out of each-other, but that ended up being for the best, and it actually developed into a sort of one-sided pseudo-friendship. Eridan on the other hand, blasted angels, got nothing for it, and scared the shit out of everyone else, since anyone who visited him risked: "A planet with some shithead with a god-weapon shooting anything that moved, and a fuckton of angry, fast angels that he pissed off!".


Look, but I digress. Everyone, sorry about the whole sleugh of shenanigans that resulted from Eridan firing the rifle inside the ship. Personally, I don't mind which direction you guys choose - whether it's to Retcon the situation, or to keep going.

Yeah Gnosis Heaven is nothing like most traditional depictions of heaven. There is no white fluffy clouds to stand on. Which bloodborne character are you going with or are you just going to make a random hunter from that verse?

Also the cop angels aren't bad at their core, they almost arrested the other angel when Papyrus told them his crime. It's just they were made to follow their creator's orders and if another angel said they committed a crime under their creator's orders they can't arrest them.

Weapons? It was a silver sword, was considering a cleaver. Gun would be a hunter blunderbuss. If they used any magic, it would be the Blackskye Eye an/or Augr of Ebrietas.

I would say the Holy Moonlight Blade would be cool, but there's only oneof those...

Well why have this little thing called the hyperverse. Basically there are many multiverses, there isn't just one. There can only be one Holy Moonlight Blade in the Bloodborne verse, but there isn't one Bloodborne verse.
