Winter rain poured down and bathed the city, almost cleaning away the poverty and despair that had gripped the city since the end of the war. Citizens walked about with broken spirits, the treaty of Paris had been vary harsh on Russia. War reparations along with a shattered economy has left a nation without any pride and a bleak future. Russia has turned into a melting pot of political ideas and radicalism, the people looking for any hope to hold onto too. This has given rise to the National Socialists Russian Workers Party. Under the leadership of Joseph Reltih, a man from humble beginnings. He grew up in St. Petersburg, a poor working class family when the world war 3 occurred he answered the call of the motherland. However the war and the treaty of Paris turned Joseph into a spiteful man who wanted to restore Russia back to it's former glory before the war.

The Brown House was the unofficial headquarters of the N.S.R.W.P, outside of the homely looking house stood four Storm Troopers in uniforms that closely resembled German SS from World War 2. From outside a roar of voices could be heard coming from inside the house, earlier in the day the N.S.R.W.P won a political victory by obtaining a total of 40 seats in the parliament which gave them control of 40 percent of the ruling body of Russia. Inside the house various men gathered around tables and giving toasts to one another for the great victory that had been won, beer and celebrations flowed from all corners of the small house. Cheers and song echoed until a door from upstairs swung open and a figure proceeded to walk down the stairs. The house fell silent as everyone stood at attention to show respect to the man walking down the stairs, the man was Joseph Reltih. Dressed in a black Storm Trooper officer uniform Joseph stood at the the small landing on the stairs.

Joseph faced the men that gathered inside of the hall and spoke. "Brothers we've won a great Victory today. Our victory tells me that Russia is ready to be reborn! The treaty of Paris was meant to crush, to have us suffer underneath of the victors boots, but we arise. Harder and stronger! Today we celebrate our victory but tomorrow we show the world that a power shift has happened! No longer will i allow our women and children to go hungry! No longer will I allow our motherland to be pillaged and our people to suffer! tomorrow the world will hear our battle cry! One people, One empire, One leader!" The house erupted into a series of cheers as everyone chanted "One people, One empire, One leader!" over and over into the early morning hours.

THE KREMLIN, MOSCOW.
TIME: 0853

The morning after the elections had been busy all through the streets citizens chanted the party slogan "One people, One empire, One leader!" The streets of Moscow was alive with activity as people both rich and poor marched in unison and in brotherhood, the National party had made promises to restore Russia, to feed the poor and heal the sick and now the people saw their lives turning for a better future under the rule of the National Party and the newly elected Chancellor Joseph Reltih. Russia's economy had been destroyed by the treaty of Paris, it's citizens humiliated under the treaty's declarations and war reparations.

Inside the Kremlin the council of ministers gathered to discuss various issues with the new Chancellor Reltih, ministers and governors from provinces all over Russia had descended upon the Kremlin. The great hall of the Kremlin was alive with chatter going back and fourth between various individuals, some hopeful, some concerned, and some indifferent but all was fearful of the National Party and their radical ideals. Everyone know the National Party had won the popular vote due to their promises that the current ruling body couldn't give them, assurance.

The chatter dwindled to a dull roar and then stopped completely when Chancellor Jospeh Reltih entered the great hall surrounded on each side by men of the newly formed Shturmovye Otrjady (Storm Detachment) or SO for short. Each one dressed in a black uniform with calf high leather boots polished to a fine finish and black leather belts around their waist with a skull as the buckle. Their black black tunics bare except for the collar which held their rank on the left and in silver letters SO on the right which stood for Shturmovye Otrjady. Black helmets also carried the SO on the right side which almost resembled runic stones.

The Chancellor along with his honor guard marched down the long aisle surrounded with various government officials sitting on each side. Chancellor Reltih arrived and took his position standing behind the podium which was carved out of a fine wood polished to near perfection and in the center the symbol of the National Party was placed in silver. The SO honor guard took their posts on each side of the podium providing maximum protection for the Chancellor, each one carried MP-446 handgun.

Chancellor Reltih raised his right hand which silenced the few remaining persons that were speaking bringing all attention to him. The Chancellor had a commanding and authoritative presence about him that demanded respect. The Chancellor began to speak in a subtle voice that was almost comforting in nature,

"My fellow countrymen our nation as a whole has won a great victory not just the party. We will no longer be crushed beneath the victors boots in defeat instead we will arise harder and stronger. Our people have spoken to me, to you! They have been heard, they want to be proud again. No longer will our people go hungry, no longer will they have to drink dirty water, no longer will babies go without milk or clothes, no longer will our children be forced to go without school, no longer will our men go without jobs to provide for their families, no longer will Russia bow her head in shame!"

The Chancellor's words brought great cheer for everyone in attendance with great applause and shouts. The Party slogan began to ring throughout the great hall "One people, One Empire, One leader!" Over and over again. The Chancellor again raised his hand which quieted the crowd almost immediately. This time when the Chancellor spoke his voice took a darker tone.

" Of course I wouldn't of had to make these promises if you took care of our people to begin with, if it wasn't for you our children wouldn't be hungry, our fathers jobless, our brother hopeless, our mothers cold and our sisters raped"

At that moment the doors to the great hall opened and SO troopers entered dressed in Autumn oak leave camouflage wearing combat vest and wearing black hood that covered their face, each man carrying an AK-74 assault rifle. The Chancellor began to speak again.

"From this moment on only party members can hold positions of government, all of you are stripped of office and titles and declared enemies of the state. The treaty of Paris, the treaty that YOU! Agreed to stripped Russia of her power and now I strip you of yours."

The SO troopers rounded all members that was not party members and marched them outback where the SO death squads executed high ranking officials that signed the treaty of Paris.

After the formation of the Persian Inter-Services Intelligence, the Director General, General Ayub Khan. As the Unitary Empire exits Ireland peacefully, support for the Empire begins to rise in Canada. The Alaskan governor ignores the email sent by the Canadian leader, he doesn't have the authority to accept it even if he wanted to.

The unrest in Panama cools a good bit as the American Empire falls back to the United States. The will for independence in the region is quite high, wishing to join the Central American Federation, the violence has subsided for the most part. Although, nationalist parties have taken the seats given to Panama in the United States Congress, advocating for a free Panama.

Due to the rise of Prahomija, the nationalist movements in Lima have increased. The jobs, while helpful in cooling down the Peruvians, have had limited effectiveness. After reports have been released about Prahomija's threat towards Parliament, the movements has flared and popularity grows.

Uruguay accepts the conference with Rio De La Plata.

Brazil, through some reforms, has become the Social Democracy of Brazil. Their nation runs on progressive policies, but still aims on maintaining a large military to deter any invasions. Along with this, they announce a large modernization program which will cover both military and civilian technology. They also, through an agreement that guarantees full autonomy and protection from Andalusia, persuade Suriname to join. They have expressed interest in rejoining the International Defense Federation as a member once again.

Protests have begun to spread across Southwest England and Wales due to rule of the United Republic. Protests have become violent, especially in Cardiff, a city which was largely affected by the Anglo-French War. Radiation has, for the most part, cleared over the former cities of Dunkirk and Calais.

The Second Roman Republic has been under decent scrutiny for joining the Karacasi Cooperative Zone, especially in such an awful area as their own. Their invasion of Veneto has angered millions of Italian citizens, and areas such as Milan have erupted in a frenzy. Their invasion of Veneto has proven successful thus far, but with some enemy advances into Austrian territories.

The New Jugoslav Republic, which has been at war with Rome, has recieved sentiment from their citizens to withdraw from the Roman-Venetian War.

Although the riots continue in St. Petersburg, which has spread to Poskov, the provisional government has accepted a conference with the Slavic government to find a possible solution.

The Nordic Treaty has finally erupted into a frenzy due to their complete economic implosion and the lack of any response by the government. Denmark, the most recent member of the Treaty, has planned a referendum to stay in. Riots take over the streets of the Treaty, especially in Danish and Finnish territories.

The new Russian government carries large sentiment with the people. However, there is still a decent democratic support within the people, only failing by a small margin to the nationalists. Many nationalists are recommending for the Russian government to support St.Petersburg rebellions within the Slavic Empire. Kazakhstan has expressed interest in rejoining this new Russia.

The Federation of Greater Nile has received praise from many African nations due to their releasing of the Oromia. In response, several nations such as Tanzania and Kenya have expressed interest in joining the Entante.

Oromia has signed an agreement with Somaliland, putting them both into a political union. Oromia has expressed its disinterest in further expansion unless it is by peaceful means.

Many citizens have expressed anger towards the government of the United African Federation. Although they are fed, poverty is still a major issue. Especially in slums, violence and crime flourishes.

The Congo has received massive revolts, due to the complete incompetence of the government. Elections based on extremely selective registration have allowed for parties based on dairy to reign over the nation. Citizens have begun to seize weaponry in preparations for a possible civil war.

The government of Lesotho, led by a military dictator, has refused to join South Africa. However, due to massive support from the people, the dictator's home was stormed and he was executed. The new, short-lived government quickly voted on joining South Africa.

Namibia sells the Caprivi Strip to Bostwana for 500 billion USD.

Zanzabar, Somali-Oromia, Tanzania and Kenya accept the requests sent by the Federation of Greater Nile and United African Federation and they join as full members of the Pancontinental Entante.

The Byzantines are removed from Northern Lebanon by the Levinantese and Persians, and do an alternate landing near Jerusalem. They begin to push directly towards the city in hopes of reaching victory and the seizing of Cyprus. Levinant themselves have been under large scrutiny for these actions, breaking their neutrality and declaring war on a nation much larger then them sews distrust between the people and government.

Afghanistan has accepted the invitation to join the Persian Empire after the war with the Byzantines have concluded. The Persians have received riots, especially in areas like Damascus, over this pointless war with the Byzantines.

The New Byzantine Empire has reformed into the Empire of Anatolia, an ultra-nationalistic state with a focus on military buildup.

The Holy Arabian Caliphate, after a swifty yet peaceful annexation of both Bahrain and Oman, with a military coup being staged in Oman, an invasion of the Greater Arab Emirates have been launched. A threat has been sent to the Emirates not to pull in any allies, or their cities will all be melted in atomic hellfire.

The Tibetan government has refused the Chinese request to join, stating that an invasion would only hurt them. The Tibetans unite with Bhutan and Nepal, each retaining high autonomy in a Semi-theocratic nation named the Holy Kingdom of Himalaya. The Chinese economy, which has taken an extreme beating due to the war, is expected to take years to recover. Tribes of nomadic Mongol warriors have begun to raid villages across Mongolia and parts of China. Similar events are taking place in the South as well, but with smaller and more diverse clans.

Through a series of conferences and treaties: India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka join into a Confederacy known as the "Confederacy of the Raj". Due to the blatant disregard for the Treaty of Paris, despite the destruction of two of India's largest cities, the Indian military has sent naval vessels into the South China Sea to pose a threat to China. Along with this, the Indian military has begun to increase numbers and has partaken in a massive modernization program, including factory technology focused on efficiency and lowering pollutants along with militaristic advancements. The Indian government launches their first satellite into orbit.

Many in the East Pacific Union, especially in Korea, are worried about the Chinese remilitarization of Manchuria. Although they do not see China as a direct threat, they believe continued aggression will lead to an invasion of Korea by a rejuvenated Chinese military. Indonesian tensions flair high as well, as the city of Jakarta has become a near warzone between rioters and police force, with the military near being called in.

The Empire of Fiji has declared war on New Caledonia in hopes to seize their rich nickel reserves. The Fiji and Caledonians battle in the seas, with an invasion force by Fiji not being dispatched.

A twinge of nervousness sprang through the Presiden't stomach as the door to their conference room opened, several men and women entering before taking their spots around the table. It was odd to say the most powerful man in the United States was in a panic to be meeting with the Board of Education, but it was true. These men and women were the ones who decided what the students of America learned, or aspired to achieve. What was he, but some senator from Portland who happened to get lucky on the Progressive ticket after Hewitt fell?

Swallowing the extra fear that came with his internal realization, he focused back on the matter at hand. With the recent extra funds Congress had put back from cutting Adrian's policies, Price finally had more than enough to follow through on one of his campaign promises that didn't include stopping the country from imploding. One that had been on the minds of many since America had started to lag behind the world so openly.

Standing quickly from his chair, the tanned man flashed a smile at the gaggle of people in the office, wringing his sweat soaked hands together.

< Dylan > "Because I don't have a lot of time here, I'm going to be frank with you all. What the Hell is wrong with us? Don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for everyone of you. You get out of bed every morning and come here, a Department where you decide the destiny of every schoolchild in the United States. But, in what world does it make sense that in the United States, we spend over 1.2 trillion dollars on the Armed Forces, but somehow, spend less than ten percent of that on educating our children? Deep inside me, as a parent and a mentor, this makes me sick and I know it does the same to you all."

Clearing her throat, a woman down to Price's left raised a quirked eyebrow at the president.

< Dylan > "Of course not! But we have to remedy this problem. The United States is a laughing stock worldwide, and I would think the same if I weren't an American too. How can we spend more on education that 90% of the planet, but somehow be ranked in the twenties worldwide on our education? I know none of this is easy, Hell, when it comes to helping students, there's no quick fix or silver bullet to any of this. But, I know there are solutions we can start with."

Finishing his impassioned rant, Price took a step back for a moment, taking in the blanks stares he was receiving from every face in the room. Another twinge of nervousness stabbed into him as someone cleared their throat, before the room returned to silence. Did no one have any solutions? Was he just here beating a dead horse when he could've been working on-

< Member #1 > Well... Uh, Mr. President Sir... Many a Harvard study has shown that one of our school systems biggest issues is that we give such long breaks. Our public education system is an outdated vestige of the 18th century, when 85% of Americans were farmers and schools lacked air conditioners. Who ever said that students needed a huge break between school years? The only reason so many students want one to begin with is because they view school as a chore instead of what it is.

< Dylan > So if we restructured our school years to cut that three month summer break and replaced with, say, three or four two weeks breaks, we'd be better off?

< Member #3 > I certainly think so sir. Doing so would lessen the learning loss every student faces, and stop teachers from needing to reteach a majoirty of what they taught students last year. Besides that sir, the “teaching to the test” mindset that defined No Child Left Behind back in 2001, still permeates most school districts, It does not encourage learning, cognitive development, or practical problem solving; it encourages skilled test-taking. Students need to be taught to apply knowledge, not memorize information so they can take tests over it. We need to expand applied learning to include every subject, so our students will see how they can use the things their learning, not just be told they're going to need it.

< Member #2 > Simply put sir, we can't just tell students that they'll need what we're saying they need to learn. We have to show them. Education reform must focus the curricula of schools and classes on application of skills in addition to basic knowledge.

< Member #3 > Besides that Mr. President, we have to make school engaging and interesting for students. Art, music, and theater in every school would be a start.

Rubbing his palms together once again, Dylan felt a smile tug at the edges of his features.

Alice Nicole Steichen

All Alice could think walking out of final convening of Adrian and Hewitt's trial, was that it had to be the quickest televised trial she'd ever been a witness too. But, of course it was going to be quick, with Harper calling the shots from the balcony across from hers. Stalking through the crowd of onlookers waiting for Adrian to be led away in cuffs, the General felt her face turn down as her eyes settled on Nathaniel Harper himself, the smug bastards face pulled back in a sickly sweet smile for the cameras.

< Harper > "Oh yes! Let's get a shot with General Steichen herself!"

< Reporter > "Excellent idea General Harper"

Blinking, the older woman nearly recoiled when Harper's arm looped around her shoulder, pulling her close into the crook of his arm.

< Harper > "Say cheese Alice!"

Despite her hatred of the man, Alice flashed a smile at the camera before pulling away from the General. It was infuriating that no one else was suspicious of Harper, no one but the Alex Jones types that populated the internet. But Alice knew exactly what Harper was like. Not a single member of Pentagons staff kept their position on the military once Adrian took over, except Harper.

That fact immediately made her suspicious of the smooth talking General, and exactly what reason he had to be running the trial that decided what happened to Adrian and Hewitt.

< Alice > "Why exactly are you here Nate? Shouldn't you be off screaming at Price to use nukes against the Chinamen? Didn't think what happened to these two would distract you for this long, what with your important jobs."

Chuckling quietly, Nathaniel turned to face Alice, placing a hand on the woman's shoulder, an action she was sure he only did because Alice hated being touched.

< Harper > "Oh Alice dear, you're still as frustrated as ever aren't you? Must be because ol' Dylan Price chose me as the SecDef and not you right?

Unconsciously, the woman felt her face pull backwards into a sneer at Harper's words. She would never admit it, but the fact that Price chose Harper as his Secretary of Defense rubbed her the wrong way, especially after Harper all too willingly pledged himself to the American Empire, and then supported Adrian in trying to commit nuclear genocide against the Chinese.

< Harper > "You should be careful though Alice. Politics isn't for everyone. You know how many times I've been received death threats since I accepted this position? How many times a day security has to brief me? People disappear during this shit sometimes Alice, and trust me, they don't come back."

< Alice > "What the Hell is that supposed to-"

All at once, the world exploded into chaos around the older woman. Spinning around quickly, dark hair whipped through her gaze as her eyes turned to the crowd surrounding Adrian and Hewitt. Screams of terror and panic tore through the air as both cuffed men desperately struggled against their cuffs. Before Alice could recognize what exactly the two men were fighting against, fire flashed into existence in the middle of the crowd.

Throwing her arms up, Alice had barely a moment to prepare herself before the shock-wave from the suicide bomber hit her.

It'd been brought to her attention about yesterday that parliament had received a letter from the Scandinavians - they had wanted to merge their Cooperative Zone... Which consisted of just themselves, with the far, far superior Karacasi Cooperative Zone - which then brought another country to her mind... The non-aligned Russians. Nevermind that, he thought. He had things to do... There was a new project cooking up down in the installation - the birthplace of most Fenezuelan, and Andalusian weapons which gave the prestige it's well-earned prestige, and great economic strength which she wields today. But what were they developing in question? Maxim knew.

Uneventfully walking through a few aisles, he'd came to the testing range. It was almost done, almost done. There was an mechanical arm, with a sort of device attached to it - it looked a little like a forearm guard, with a few miscellaneous details and vertices... Some holes too - it was inclined to slope up from where it was closest to the upper arm, to where the hand was. He already knew what it was, he'd been testing it for weeks! It was a new infantry equipment... and horse equipment, since Prahomija, and Martinez would want that. To be used for every one in eight men... Basically one per squad.

Maximim then stood behind a small half-wall, where there was a revolver, which he quickly loaded up with a single .44 round, and aimed just above the device - after putting on some ear guards of course. And then he shot, and going just in time with the noise of the gun, there was a sharp 'ping!' sound... Had he done it? He placed down the gun and leapt over the half-wall, and inspected the marble white floor... Ah, there it was, in the corner. The bullet - and it had a small mark right on it... He could see it as he picked it up.

It had worked. The device had worked! Time to get parliament on the phone to get approval for mass production... Well, sort of mass production of these; the Real Guardia. It'd worked...

But it still needed more work. The system still had a strong chance of simply not reacting to an incoming projectile, would randomly shoot at small objects if the wearer was moving their wrist too fast, and it would attempt to shoot at projectiles coming from the other direction - a very big problem which could be fatal. It had to be fixed, and it'd take some time. Meanwhile, in the other labs, away from Max's eye, others worked hard to achieve new, more ambitious projects - just as ambitious as Max's Real Guardia.

Carlos Magnolo, famed general, hero of the Andean Wars, saviour of Hispanic people blah blah blah... A good military commander. A pleasant smile was spread across his face, knowing the Empress had a statue for the trio built. The three amigos. But... What did she ask of them? More tradition in the military, more interaction between the populace - to make the people see them as normal. He could do that, he could do that... Or so he thought. Holding the reins, the bit of equipment that any rider wanted if they wanted to ride a horse, he started to make the horse he rode on trot forward, down the practice track - he was going to plan the first parade here. Oh he had a plan alright, too. There were about 40,000 cavalry in the Andalusian army, a good amount - no modern army had cavalry for actual combat, except Andalusia. Andalusia was smart. That meantthere was at least forty thousand people trained to ride horses, and of course, horses are the most elegant thing you can have in a parade. Even little girls like them.

But, other than a parade, what else was there to do? Oh yes, the military would need to grow closer to the populace. Well, they were already quite close as Fuerzespeciales were allowed to, and are still allowed to operate as law enforcement, despite the destruction of almost every major drug trader's business, and life. The military needed to seem more approachable, more friendly - and Carlos was going to make that happen... By doing this;

•Soldiers should be encouraged to act more casual, rather than stiff when in public or parading.
•When on duty, and not told otherwise by their officer, a soldier must keep their weapon in patrol stance.
•Cavalry units are allowed to decorate their horse's kit, and the horse itself during peacetime.
•Military installations shall have several tunnels leading up to various parts of the city they are based around; namely the commercial areas and residential areas, to make the military seem less alien. Citizens are allowed to travel down these tunnels after paying a fee, which leads them to just outside the military installation. They may not enter, though can ask for their beloved one to come out to see them, if wanted.

Yeah... Those four ideas should work. The closer the military could get to the populace, the more it could draw in more willing volunteers and able-bodied, without need to have a draft. Parliament had gotten rid of the draft to try and express sorrow for those lost in the war; and it wouldn't happen again. Infact, Carlos was glad the draft was gone.

Meanwhile... Onto military doctrine. That was the new thought, as he felt the saddle shift between his legs as the horse continued circling the track, following it's own steps which were imprinted in the dusty ground. It was about time for former Fenezuela - Andalusia's military, to choose a path to take. One to train their units to excel in more than any other - to be the best they can. Carlos... despite being officially an naval commander had commanded land armies very commonly during the war, and managed to inflict many casualties against the north during their landings, especially at Cauca.

A doctrine of Concentrated Operations.

One where units would work close to eachother, and commonly switch out between eachother during battle to wear down the enemy and always have some strength of their own, one where lone enemy divisions would get hunted down and decimated by a numerically superior force which would immediately dissolve into many smaller ones, one which was always ready with a plan B, C, D, E, F... Well, other than the plans thing. But this path of a military doctrine would change Andalusia forever in it's coming military conflicts, it's officer's mindsets and the humble infantryman will become one of elite, one trained to be flexible. One trained to overwhelm the enemy, even when in a smaller number, exploiting fear and communicating cracks in the enemy's line during battle. Yes. The Royal Army of Andalusia and former Fenezuela - and simply that.

Military Developments

In the shipyard facilities of Neum, by the order of Admiral Radovan Radic, Chief of the Imperial Jugoslav Navy, the hulls for two Yasen-Class Attack Submarines have been laid down. They are set to be completed and entered into active service with the Imperial Jugoslav Navy in two years, where they will provide the Imperial Navy with actual power, something more significant than the token forces it posesses now. In addition to the submarines, the Chief of the Imperial Navy has ordered the construction of two Steregushchiy-Class Corvettes, which will enter service in two years. The annual European Scientific Exposition, which is being held in Hamburg, has begun. A large range of inventors, scientists, and CEOs have gathered to show off their technology to the United Republic. The first panelist, an epidemiologist from the Avlose University of Technology takes stage.

<Wook> "Hello, I am a biologist from AUT with an exciting invention. Myself, combined with a large team of engineers and biologists, have devised a new system for identifying diseases. This is a breathalyzer which would be able to identify many diseases, ranging from Parkinson's to numerous types of cancers, with a 95% accuracy. This revolutionary technology would allow for quicker diagnosis and treatment of diseases."

The crowd claps at this new technology, he steps off the stage and another man takes his place. This physicist is working for the nuclear division from the University of Paris.

<Feynman> "Bonjour, people of Hamburg and scientists from around the United Republic. My division from the University of Paris, specializing in nuclear physics, has come up with a more effective way to create Tritium and fuel the extremely large nuclear fusion power in the United Republic. Bombarding lithium-6 with neutrons has been the conventional, and expensive, way of creating tritium. However, we have created a more cost-effective method of creating fast neutrons, which, if you combine with lithium-7, you get a reaction which produces tritium. Due to our method, this would be significantly less expensive."

The crowd claps and the CEO of Rivera Computers, housed in Avlose, takes stage.

<Hopper> "Hello. My company of computer scientists have spent countless hours over the past few years slaving away at creating something that will revolutionize education, and it has been released to the public. This system, through using a slew of lessons devised from a massive cooperation of scientists have created an online educational system. Unlike the ones that came before it, this one would be able to directly tune to the student, it would be able to adapt to how they learn and what allows them to prosper. Currently, this system is in its infancy, but the progress we've made is extremely promising."

The crowd claps as the final panelist of the night, a biologist from the University of Cambridge.

<Darwin> "Greetings, fellow Europeans. It has always been my dream, to stand at the European Scientific Exposition... it is a lot more different from the stage. It seems I have gone off on a tangent, allow me to get back on track. Our university has studied the effects of adding graphene to a silkworm's diet of mulberry leaves, we have found that graphene-fed silkworms will produce an extremely strong silk that can conduct electricity. This new silk, if mass-produced, has the potential to revolutionize medicine, military, electronics, and more!

The crowd claps as the main panel ends. Over the next few days, the exposition would continue with smaller scientists showing many interesting inventions.

Minister Edwin Nobel lands in Area 11. His presence has been requested by Director Charles Maxwell to discuss a possible transfer of soldiers. Nobel steps into the office of Maxwell, guarded by armored soldiers.

<Maxwell> "Ah, you've made it. Take a seat."

Nobel sits down and picks up a file from Maxwell's desk and begins to file through it.

<Maxwell> "Would you like some tea?"

Nobel puts down the file.

<Nobel> "More of a coffee man, thank you. What did you want to discuss?"

<Maxwell> "I wanted to discuss the possibility of transferring a good number of soldiers into my custody."

<Nobel> "Why would this be needed? Special forces was never in the dealings of infantry."

<Maxwell> "That was before we developed the second model for Project Kratos. The model has been named, creatively, PK-2. This military suit would use exoskeletons, allowing them to lift and carry much more. They would also use liquid body armor which would remain soft and malleable during normal operations, but hardens instantaneously at the point of contact, deflecting and dispersing the immense destructive energy produced by a hit from an enemy round or shrapnel. Along with this, this new 'graphene silk' shown at the European Scientific Exposition would be added as another defensive precaution."

<Nobel> "This is incredible, how many soldiers do you want to be pulled into this unit?"

<Maxwell> "50,000 of your finest soldiers, which would receive extra training under my regiment."

<Nobel> "50,000? That is quite a high number for this trial unit. Not even mentioning that you don't have the funding to keep this up, along with your regular operations."

<Maxwell> "I was hoping to pull funding from the military to fund this new Specialized Infantry Corps."

<Nobel> "You're asking a lot out of me, Charles... I'd have to pull a good bit of our equipment to keep this unit."

<Maxwell> "You wouldn't, just build up reserves further. There is no need for such a large standing force of one million men in times of peace, we could lower it to 850,000 men and only call on our large reserves force in times of war. I'm sure Parliament would be happy to give you the extra funding in the case of expansion or defense."

<Nobel> "You've convinced me, take your 50,000 men and extra funding. So... this is what you've been working on for the past half decade."

Maxwell laughs.
<Maxwell> "Oh no, Nobel. We have been up to much, much more. I invite you to join us sometime next year, we plan on showing off all of Special Forces to the higher ups in the government."

<Nobel> "You've intrigued me... I look forward to it."

They shake hands and Nobel leaves for Brussels.

Praha, Slavic Empire - February 10th 2048, 12:30

At the Carolean University, that day would have been a very strange one. The previous day, indeed, the countries of Serbia and Bosnia-and-Hercegovina had decided to merge once again, to create the Jugoslav Empire. But, one may ask, how could the creation of a new country affect the main university of another one? Well, usually it doesn’t, but that time it did, actually, have some effects. Miloš Dragović, the son of the Jugoslav Emperor was a student at the faculty of “Modern Euorpean History”, meaning he studied the history of Europe in the XIXth and XXth centuries, at the Carolean University in Prague.

As soon as the news from the Southern Brothers, as Serbia was called in the Slavic Empire, came to the hears of the citizens, the young Miloš got continuously asked with questions from everybody in the University. Everybody… well, everybody was not the right word: Wiesława did not.
She knew the way it felt, and so had decided to avoid talking to Miloš about that. She hardly knew him, anyways, but now, she thought, she may have had the opportunity to know him much better.
She had broken up with her boyfriend four days ago, as she discovered he was used to have sex with another girl as well. Luckily, she thought, she always forced him to use condoms while having sex.

Finally, after hours, her day finished. She did not, however, go back home immediately: she decided to go and take a look at the lesson of Modern European History. She actually had to study for the day after, when she had the fifth exam of the second year to be carried out (she was already studying for her second year, so to graduate in two years or three at maximum), but she knew she could have studied few and taken a good mark anyways: that test was about IDF protocols, of which she already knew completely and perfectly some 87%.

She entered the room where the Modern European History lessons were held, a very big and ancient room with some four hundred seats, and sat at the top-right bottom of the room, keeping an eye on Miloš, who was sitting just a few rows down. He was incredibly beautiful, with a head which was square, yet not too much, with short, platinum blond hair, and with dark blue eyes.

She wanted the lesson to end immediately, but she had to wait. At the end, when, finally, the bell rang, she went as soon as possible close to Miloš, whispering in his hear: “Come with me, we need to talk”. He followed her as fast as possible, and they managed to exit the building very fast.

As soon as they got out, she turned towards him and spoke...
"Miloš... can I call you like this? I hope yes. You can call me just Wiesława, if you want. Anywyas, you need to know some things. First of all, your life is going to change dramatically, believe me. In some ways it will be better, but it will be worse in many other ways.
Secondly, there is one thing you have to observe: be as reserved as possible. Not being extravagant is the shortest and safest way to be ignored by the public, which is what you need to achieve, believe me."

Miloš did not actually know what to answer. He had always been a normal student with very high marks, and so everything seemed strange to him now, especially the Crown Princess talking to him directly.

"Well, Miloš, I hope I can help you surviving this period. Also, would you mind going out together this evening?"

Once again, the Jugoslav Prince was surprised, but this time he managed to answer.

"Well, Wiesława, I will be very glad to do that. Where would you like to meet, and at what hour?"

"Late evening, 9:30 pm. At the Karluv Most. Hradčany side."

"Very good." he answered, and then asked the Princess "Do you want to exchange the phone numbers?"

"Sure! Why not?" she said, and told Miloš her phone number. Just after that, Miloš did the same and gave her his phone number.
They would have met, that evening, and the turn-out would have been tremendously unexpected...

Somewhere in the Mazowski Kraj, Slavic Empire – February 12th, 12:00 am

Michal stood once again in front of his country’s most important television channels.

The Slavic Empire would have done something very important that day, and so his presence was needed. That day, another launch would have taken place. 20 people were going to be carried on Mars, of them 10 were civilians and 10 were scientists. The launch would have been a great boost for the feeling of National Pride of the people, as well as a tool to spread Pan-Slavic propaganda in the Balkans and in Russia. But most of all, it was for the sake of Scientific Progress, of course.

After waiting for the preparations, Michal carried out a speech, which focused on how much was it important for the country to carry on with the program, and such things which everybody constantly heard from everywhere.

Then, the count-down started.

“Decet… Desem… Osem… Sed’et… Šest’... Pet’… Štiřy… Třy… Dva… Jeden… Ognia!” said Michal, and then, just as he said he shouted Ognia, the engines of the rocket started. A huge noise could be heard inside the press room, even though the glasses and the walls were soundproofing. Maybe, the new engines were just too powerful for the glasses and the walls to accomplish their mission.

Now, new glory was to be brought to the Empire.

Praha, Slavic Empire - February 10th 2048, 21:30

The Karlův Most… was there any bridge even only close to it and its beauty? The answer was, to every citizen of Praha, to every Czech, or to every Slav, obvious: No.

That time would have been just one of the many times she walked over it, over the wonderful and centuries-old bridge which was one of the most wide-known symbols of Prague. Or, at least, this was what she had thought about the date she arranged with Miloš. But he himself was the reason why Wiesława had thought wrong: he was simply too much of a beautiful guy for the date to be an ordinary one.

She was arriving to the bridge, as she saw him there, dressed in a black, long and warm winter coat. He also was also wearing a black, elegant hat. It was obviously a coincidence, but one would have been impressed by the fact she was wearing a long, warm, yet white, winter coat.

All of a sudden, she could see him turning to the right, at first, and then to the left while looking for somebody. She thought he may have had a date with another girl as well, and felt furious, but then, as he saw her, he started walking towards Wiesława, opening his arms, and then hugging her when they reached each other.

“Dobry večer, Wiesława!”

“‘Bry, Miloš, Ják se maš?”

“Ja dobré, a ty?”

“’Bré, ‘bré...”

“So, where do you wanna go, Wiesława?”

“I know many places where to go here in Prague, but I would prefer if it was you to choose one, my dear Miloš…”

“Well, princess, that would not be appropriate for a gentleman. Not to mention I am the guest, so it would be up to you to decide, Wiesława.”

“You have a point there, Miloš… So… do you drink alcohol?”

“Obviously I do, Wiesława! Is there any Slav who doesn’t?”

“My father.”

“Oh… I never thought he did not. I always thought he did like every Slav…”

“Well, that’s strange, I have to admit it. He always tried not to make us drink alcohol, but… well, when he somehow managed to discover we all did, and when I say we I mean me and my brothers and sisters, he told us ‘Well, that is your life. I tried not to make you drink alcohol, but, hej! That’s your choice. I hope you will be fine with that.’ And nothing changed, basically.”

They went on and on, talking about this, and making some stupid things, just as every teenager would. The saluted each other, saying “goodbye, see you tomorrow”, and then, after having kissed each other, each of them took a different way, to home, for him, to home, for her. It had been love at first sight. This would have been reported to Michal immediately.

Michal had received the telegrams from the Jugoslav Emperor, and immediately knew what to do. He decided not to release any official statement about the formation of the new Empire, and let things go. Actually, he knew what to do. He could not have conquered those lands anyways, so he decided: Confederation.

He wrote, satisfied, a letter to the Jugoslav Emperor.

But now, here I am, writing to my Slavic Brother Vladislav I Dragović, Emeror of the New Jugoslav Emperor, regarding various issues.

First of all, the proposed Imperial Marriage.
This is a very important topic, and I completely agree with you on it. But our children are people of the XXIth Century, just as us, and I thus believe we shall not fall prey to any kind of habit from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance once again. Let our two children choose wether they want or not. And I can tell you, dear Emperor, they are. I have many... spies, if we want to call them like this, who are constantly reporting me the condition of my daughter, Wiesława, as she currently lives and studies in Praha. I have been told they have been seen together today, and went as far as kissing each other. We jsut have to wait.

Now, regarding the war with Italy, I know it is not a problem anymore, as you have accepted their proposal of White Peace.

Just as you do, I wish our two countries can establish wonderful relations, and this is why I am proposing the creation of a confederation of our two countries. As you stated, we share our history, culture, and, most of all, the language, so why are we divided? Our divisions has been determined by other European and Asian powers. We were known to be a people of tremendous fighters, so they could not let us unite, or else they would have been defeated. This is why I propose you the creation of this Confederation. The name could be Greater Slavic Empire, or Slavic Imperial Confederation, for example. It should have three capitols: Kyiv, Warszawa, and Beograd. While this may seem unbalanced, this would give the same ammount of importance, on the institutional level, to all of the Slavic Regions (West, East, and South), however, we could even have more capitols. The Interslavic Language, in the version we speak here, and the Serbo-Croat language would be official langauges at the same level, and every other Slavic Language would be co-official nationwide, and official at the same level as the above-mentioned two in the the regions where it is most spoken.
Further details may be discussed in a conference which could be hold here, in Kyiv, if you are interested in this idea.

General Julius was leading the search for enemy troops in the city of Padua and they had already killed 50 men that day so far and were looking forward to more, The city had been not been destroyed as much as Venice due to their being less bombing and mainly there were large firefights in certain parts of the city.

The War was mainly successful due to minimal participation from their Balkan allies and white peacing them, They had captured Padova, Treviso, Vicenza, Verona, Garda, Belluno. The Republic’s troops had continued their raids on Rovigo and Venice was subject to further intensive air raids and nothing was allowed to get in our out the capital city.

General Julius believed it would only be a few more weeks or months before the Venetians capitulated, He hoped it was sooner rather than later. Commander Antonio was the head of the attacks on Slovakia, luckily they had placed men on the Austria-Slovene border so they were prepared for attack around 85,000 troops had been sent to the border to add to the current 25,000. 30,000 troops were heading towards the Slovenian cities Jelenice and another 30,000 troops towards Maribor, the remaining 25,000 to be added to the defensive force defending against enemy troops.

As the economic prosperity around the world plummets, major funding from infustructure projects in the FGN falls with it, and two are prioritised, the construction of the AUSCT, and Project Eco to try and provide power to the nation. Look, governments sometimes don't get along, we have disagreements and tensions, but I hope we are all trying to do what is best for our people, and currently our people are suffering from lack of cooperation towards fixing these problems. This is why, we believe it to be in the best interests of the FGN to open relations to all, regardless if your nation is a member of the IDF, PCE, KCZ, or none of them. The more nations around the world cooperate, the quicker we can put this tough period behind us. With our new foreign affairs building, ambassadors from all nations are welcome to see if we can fix the problems that this world is facing. All people around the world are beautiful, and we hope that none of them will suffer because of political tensions between governments. There of course, is an exception for nations governments who are deliberately hurting their people, and for those nations, we would like to offer refuge to any individual hurt by their government. Our world is suffering, and it is our belief that we don't want to be responsible for any individuals pain. Proposal: Push for the growth of trees to help clean the air of Cairo, Alexadria,and Khartoum.

<Environmentalist> "People don't seem to think about trees as a massive filter for our air, but that is what they need to be thought as. A huge culprit of air pollution is particulate matter, which other nations have dealt with via paint that is meant to stick it to the pavement or enourmous air filtering pillars all around the respective cities, but for nearly thirty years now there have been numourous studies showing that simply planting trees is an effective way to clean the air in a city, and in many of these studies Cairo, Alexandria, and Khartoum have all been outlined as cities that could get a massive benefit from a program like the one proposed today. Trees can cool the air, clean the air, and are genrally aesthetically pleasing in a city. Our proposal is to plant trees in avaliable public spaces and educate children about the benefit of having trees through government programs that would hand out free seeds at the end."

A royally decorated sedan pulled up just outside the facility, accompanied by a convoy of many other sedans, which were coloured white with pitch black windows. The Empress had decided to visit her old place of work, and residence. The place where all the magic in Fenezuela and Andalusia had occurred, and still did. Accompanied by two guards, of almost equal stature to her, she started making her light footsteps into the facility, the wire fence-gate automatically sliding to the left and to the right to allow her and her guards passage through. The people there knew who she was, even before she became Empress. Strutting across the smooth concrete grounds, which were just newly put down as part of the repairs from the war, he made her way to the entrance tunnel to the labs - several of the installation's own defence looking on at the Empress whose dress made a... very good job at hiding her legs and her last five footsteps, with intrigue. Only God would know why she'd come back to such a place.

Beginning her descent into the depths of the facility, she brushes her way past a few scientists, professors and engineers who didn't really understand the meaning of personal space. Well, neither did she actually. The facility was made to not use up space in it's various tunnels which lead to the rooms, such as the cafeteria, the boiler room, security, operations, the pharmacy, and the labs... Many, many labs... She was seeking for Maxim. That was why she was here. "Wait here, please." She asked the duo which guarded her, and they did so, standing with their backs against the walls of the hallway as to not take up space, and rifles shouldered. Bowing her head, and clasping her palms against her chest, she made her way down the halls, her dress sliding along the clean, metallic floor behind her.

Then she arrived at Maxim's office (and his residence), and a hurry of panic could be heard from within. Didn't seem like he was expecting a visit from anybody at any time. About thirty seconds passed, Prahomija still standing in the same position and waiting for Maxim to open the door. "Come in!" A faint voice she heard called out, and she did so. The room was large, and mostly empty, save for the door which lead to his sleeping quarters and personal room. There was also the device he was testing there on a desk in the middle of the room, what he dubbed the 'Real Guardia'.

And there he was, his back to Prahomija and just closing the door to his room. Maxim, the short man which Prahomija worked closely with for many years, ever since the 'election' of Martinez to Chancellery. And how Prahomija seemed to tease him most of the time during those times, even during times of war and desperateness for the state Prahomija would tease... Maybe it was time to formalise relations? "Maxim..." Prahomija spoke with weaker words than usual, as if dropping that sharp attitude of hers - a very rare, if not unnatural thing. "I... I..." Since the times of Martinez and the growth of Venezuela, a backwater, though highly ambitious and innovative Hispanic dictatorship into a monarchy which sprawled across the Andes, it had been top priority to make use of what the lands which Venezuela was blessed with. The Orinoco basin was an incredible source of agriculture just waiting to be used, leading into many wetlands and marshes which could be used for growth of crops and farming once properly tended to... exclusive to Andalusia.

However, this was deemed inefficient by the Venezuelan, Fenezuelan and now Andalusian authorities. The area needed to be kept reuseable and preserve at least most of it's natural beauty, as it helped form the identity of Andalusia as a country of beauty, culture and love. What had been proposed today was a new sort of system and a new machine, dubbed the Iolimita. Specifically, this machine was to work as a food growing, and collection system. With about twenty people working on it all year around, the machine would draw fresh soil and water from the ground into it's flooring, where the twenty workers would have plants be planted by machines, by simply pouring the seeds into a storage compartment on the outside.

Simply explained, the machine was a flat 400 metre by 200 metre glass-roofed building with eight mechanical pieces which were attached to a network of rails. These mechanical pieces were plant seeds, water them and enrich the soil, if so needed. As crops progress from one end of the 400 metre long Iolimita facility to the other over the spawn of the ideal amount of time for that crop to grow based on what it is, new soil shall be fed into the facility via a downward slope, and then a series of turnwheels to keep it heading forward towards the Iolimita facility growing area, as will new water from the Orinoco basin. This ensures the soil is always rich. Used soil shall be discarded outside the facility where a mandatory monthly cleanup team shall disperse the used soil across the local basin area.

Every year, each Iolimita is guaranteed to feed at least 460,000 people's dietary needs, excluding meats and fish, whilst costing little to nothing significant in upkeep (excluding seed costs) and costing about Pa. 34 million to make (26 million USD). Parliament has passed approval on this project, and in fact, a new settlement based at Apure known as Prahomitopraklary is to be founded. Starting with the draining of the surrounding marshlands and creation of integral infrastructure towards where the "city of the world's desire" shall be built, the city is ambitious as to attempt to rival those such as Karacasi itself, Paris, Avlose, Washington DC and Istanbul as a centre of trade, growth, learning, science and cultural wealth.

The first building to be built? The Andalusiprak - the new Royal Palace. Prahomija obviously had very ambitious plans indeed... A capital for her dynasty, or a capital for the country?

A second message had also been sent to Morocco concerning creation of a canal joining up the Sebou and the Moulouya rivers, and widening them and then lining them with reinforced concrete at places of weakness as to allow passage of large ships up to the size of a medium cargo freighter. It has been made 'very clear' that Andalusia is willing to pay for this completely - $30BN for the whole project to the Moroccan gov't, if they so accepted it.

Combine a bit of corruption and the fact that nothing was done to repair the damaged economy after the 3rd World War and you got an international shithole that's probably bound to eventually erupt into a civil war if not treated as soon as possible. Currently because of this, the government has declared a STATE OF EMERGENCY all across the Provinces and has warned civilians not involved in any protests or riots to please stay in their homes and possibly barricade your front doors and windows to ward off any potential looters. Because of this, they are allowing any citizens that have their home broken into to allow them to decide how to dispatch the looter or criminal as police are too busy in containing the riots from spreading. NTF forces have been dispatched to Stockholm, armed with guns loaded with rubber bullets and other lethal squads ready to be dispatched if the situation escalates rapidly.

And so Unit 6 treaded down the stairs, looking for a nearby door to lead them into a room and they found the first room that was the site of a bloody killing spree. Businessmen and women lay around the floor with blood smeared reading out in cries for help on the walls and now, the site gave way to also seeing other dead NTF officers on the floor, possibly defending the survivors from the possible onslaught of the mass crowd that are now dead bodies from the entrance and killing everyone inside. The room was even pitch black with you needing a flashlight to even move around without bumping into its horrors...

As Franku's motorcade that took him out of the chaos that is the city of Stockholm, he was arriving to his private NH-90 Transport to airlift him out of the city and onto one of the Swedish Navy's ships like the S.S Ragnarok, a warship that was constructed originally in the late 2020s but was never widespread adopted among the Navy compared to some of its more bombastic and devastating ships but those pale in comparison to a naval superpower. Nevertheless, he steps out of his motorcade and begins walking slowly toward the helicopter with 4 Swedish National Guard soldiers following right behind him to serve as security.

he steps into the helicopter and the helicopter slowly takes off and starts heading East, where the Swedish Navy has blockaded the ports and harbors and anyone entering and exiting the city and slowly, the country. This all started because of negligence and negligence is what's gonna kill Scandinavia if it doesn't get its crap together. Currently, Sweden has been the 1st Province to be in such a bad situation to declare martial law on the entire country and to shut down its borders with the rest of the region and the possible world. And not only that, communications other than on military frequencies and news channels have all been shut down from raids and attacks on the power stations and TV stations with the news stations being protected personally by the Swedish Army Branch of the Nordic Forces. Currently, there is a broadcast this is currently streaming 24/7 to give potential viewers a heads up update on the events inside the country and right now, things aren't looking too good for anyone inside.

Shaking nervously, Lyndra Darnell still hadn't slept right in 10 days, waiting for parliament to exit its recess for the holidays. She should say it was good to be off to spend time with her eight year old, but the thoughts of unsavoury elements in the government's highest levels working to actively destroy the Empire she loved had hit her to her core. The thought of a hoax had always occurred to her, but why would anyone take the time to trick her, a juniour member of the Ontario Parliament? There were far more important people at higher levels who could be tricked that could act on the intelligence given to her. The only reason the informant had reached out to her was because her best friend worked at the Star and had contacts inside the government. Darnell knew she had to do something, but what could she do? As a juniour member of parliament, she was amongst the lowest rungs on the ladder. She could attempt to propose a bill, but what would she say, who would support her? She was more likely to get thrown out for being a conspiracy nu-"Mommy can we watch this?" Her son, Mark, snapped her out of her thoughts as he was flipping through the channels. She nodded at the children's show and watched her son lean back on the couch. He was such a smart kid for his age. She knew she couldn't risk her job over this; he needed someone to care for him without being in poverty. Smiling at him as he watched his cartoon, she tousled his hair. "Mom!" he protested and she laughed.

"You're lucky I'm doing this here instead of at school, kiddo," she teased. Mark looked tense at the veiled threat and sighed. "Now, let's keep watching." Darnell patted her son's head and enjoyed her time with her son.

Bernard Humphries stormed down the hall towards the Emperor's office. He was absolutely livid at what Fredericks had done. Doing this could lead to war, and would almost certainly sour relations with the southern power. Almost smashing the office door open, the Minister of Trade tore into the office like a storm looking for a place to make landfall. "George, what in God's holy name do you think this is?!" He slammed the folder he was holding onto the Emperor's desk. Fredericks looked up at Humphries, annoyed at the intrusion.

"Bernard, there had better be a good explanation for this," the Emperor managed to mutter before Humphries full fury was on him.

"That folder contains a message sent to the Alaskan governor with your stamp of approval! How could you betray the Empire like this, George? We've always been on good terms with the Americans, but this is just a blatant disregard for sovereignty!" The Emperor looked incredulous as he read the document.

"I have never seen this before," he sputtered out. "Where the hell did you get this from?"

The Trade Minister composed himself before explaining. "We picked up the broadcast some months ago and have only now been able to decode it. It wasn't our normal code, George. You, or someone, used a different coding algorithm, which is why we weren't able to read it until now. Someone sent this digitally to the Alaskan governor using your digital ID tags. I don't know how else to say this, but we're royally fucked."

Slowly, the Emperor took off his glasses and placed them on his desk. "Worrisome, Bernie, that's what I'd say. Someone has managed to use my key to send a message to the Americans to infuriate them. Only reason I see is to undermine the Empire. Who would want to do that?"

Humphries thought for a moment, now believing the Emperor to be innocent, and leaned in with almost a whisper. "There has been word that the evacuation of Ireland has left many in the military sour. The hardliners believe we should have fought the protests and dissident movement more and instilled fear into the Irish. As our gateway into European trade, it was an ideal nation to hold. The Brass seemed to think it was a good area to establish a fleet presence and establish protection right across the North Atlantic sea lanes. I can't say I disagree. It was a very highly prized asset in the Empire. I just think you made the right choice. Being seen as a colonial state and fear-monger would have been worse for our status in the world than any benefit Ireland would have given us. Military guys might have thought to try to stage a crisis to seize power through legal means and martial law. But I'm speculating." Humphries stood back. "If you didn't authorize this, you need to act quick. Give control over army movements to the Council, at least for the time being. We can see to it that troops aren't moved into Alaska or anywhere else if some General with a big pair gets the idea to go rampaging through other countries in retaliation, or through our own." Fredericks sat back, visibly shaken by what his longtime friend had told him. Was it really true? Could elements opposed to the leaving of Ireland really be plotting to overthrow his regime? Mouthing the edge of the temple tips on his glasses, he thought for a while.

"Do it," he said. "And don't make me regret this, Bernie." Humphries smiled at that and walked out, while the Emperor sat back and contemplated the whole conversation. This was some very upsetting news. Things could spiral out of control very quickly with that letter being sent. He rubbed his eyes. If he sent a message to the Americans apologizing for the letter, nefarious elements might see that as the time to strike. Swallowing another few tablets of antacid, Price's fingers drummed against the solid oak table, men and women all around him rushing around to deliver documents and whatever else they carried with them at the time. Even as President, this was the first time the tanned man had visited the Pentagon since the beginning of 2049.

Despite that, him and SecDef Harper had been called here to be briefed on the situations developing outside of the United States, something Price hadn't really been focusing with everything going on just on the home-front. But Harper had insisted they clear out the day to deal with this, so Dylan reluctantly agreed

Looking to the head of the table, a woman around his age flashed a small smile before standing and addressing the room.

<Gen. Alice S.> "Our first order of business is the developing situation in Northern Europe. The Swedish have very nearly collapsed into anarchy, and-"

<Harper> "Refugees have been pouring into the nation-states surrounding the area. With these refugees leaving Sweden in mass, the states around them are experiencing some measure of instability. My suggestion, firstly, is a diversion of funds to the Swedish government so it can continue to support efforts to stabilize. After that, we should move elements of the Sixth Fleet into the region, strictly as a means of providing relief supplies to Swedish civilians, and fleeing refugees."

<Gen. Alice S.> "Well, maybe not so heavy handed but-"

<Harper> "I think this is the first time we've agreed with each other Alice. By expanding this to be a Pan-American Conference, we can block any Andalusian attempts to bully us in one direction or the other. Me and President Price have already drafted and sent an invitation for Andalusia to a Pan-American Conference."

National Manufacturing Revival Bill:

< Progressive > Through the Public Works Administration, President Price has asked, for a second time, that nearly $1.5 trillion USD be approved for spending on a variety of American industries. In working with the Conservative and America First parties, we have drafted a second piece that will hopefully mitigate the problems of the first:

- The Energy Independence Act: This act seeks to continue funding the installation of clean-energy alternatives across the country. Using funds created by the Technical Industries Fund, we seek to increase funding to clean energy alternatives, such as fusion energy, while also creating a environmental clean-up bureau in every state that will employ a variety of American workers to clean up the blot we've left on the environment.

- The Technical Industries Fund: Worldwide, the United States had begun to laughably fall behind in technology, especially compared to the United Republic. In the name of catching up with our allies in Europe, this fund will move to match our allies in the URE on their spending in R&D over the following 2 years, increasing our funds by a set amount every six months, as well as supply funds to the greatest technological minds across the US to spur competition and advancement across the board. On top of that, we seek to have Housing and Urban development work hand and hand with some of the most influential urban planners and tech minds worldwide to decrease pollution and congestion, while also bringing the common American the fruits of technology in the year 2049.

- Manufacturing Recovery Act: Far more mundane than the rest of the acts and funds contained inside this bill, this act will allocate funds to be invested in recovering Indian, European and Chinese industries as well as within our own nation, to help fill the vacuum created by the collapse of the Shanghai pact during WW3. Along with this act, we seek to pool funds to research and improve on automation within American factories.

- The American Infrastructure Revival Act: Using workers from the WPA, this act will divide the country into ten districts for construction. Each district will be investigated by a team of third party experts in the field, and will identify the problems plaguing each area, be it highways, bridges, buildings, water works, electrical, communications and so on. Once this investigation is completed in each region, funds from the $1.5 trillion we've asked for will be allotted to each according to it's need and which of the affected areas we stated needs it most.

Education Reform:

<America First> It is widely known throughout the world that while the United States has one of the largest budgets for education, we are falling behind critically. As such, we have drafted this bill to mitigate this and hopefully ready our children for the future:

- Nation-wide, we will end the system of schooling we have used since the 18th century. Who ever said that students needed a huge break between school years? We should shift to year around schooling and reduce the focus every school holds on sports, and move it to arts and theater. Sports are just a hobby, not the main focus of schooling. As such, we should allocate funds for every state from our budget for the arts.
- End the “teaching to the test” mindset that defined No Child Left Behind back in 2001, and begin teaching students to apply knowledge, instead of learning it for a test.
- Create a propaganda campaign nation-wide aimed at people, from children to teenagers, to increase interest in schooling, while also making school fun and engaging for every child. This campaign should be aimed at encouraging citizens of every age, race and home to attend school, while also aiming to expand their schooling in whatever way possible.
