July 1, 2052 - Paris, France

The President of the United Republic of Europe, Louis Hubble, stares out onto Paris. He had called a press conference a day prior to speak about several issues, including the Great Amazonian War, the superbug, and several other topics. He wore an expensive suit, polished shoes, and slicked back hair. As the press arrived, he went over what he wanted to say in his mind, repeating it until it was effectively burned into his brain. 7:00 arrives and the doors close, no more people are being allowed into the press conference room.

<Hubble> "Hello, citizens of the United Republic, and of the world. I would like to begin this press conference by congratulating the North African Federation on their completion of genetically modified plants, sure to be a measure to assist against the famine which plagues the world. This bit of scientific advancement shows that North Africa has ascended to the modern world, and is capable of competing with superpowers. A North Africa which has the potential to prosper even more under the Eslam Nadeen and the Technocratic Party. Nadeen is a man who understands technology, and the role it plays in modern times. He's a man who will bring prosperity to North Africa in the form of technological advancements and higher standards of living. Most of all, however, he's a man who cares about the people of North Africa and the nation's future, and for that I respect and admire him.

I would also like to welcome our new brothers into the Union. The people of Austria, South Tyrol, and Aosta Valley have joined the United Republic, and I hope dearly that they will find prosperity as members, and that the regions of Piedmont and Liguria will follow suit. After the destruction caused by the War of Rome, the provinces and nations integrated have been damaged, broken. The integrated states will be rebuilt, and the people of the states will prosper yet again.

Furthermore, I congratulate the nation of Padamia on their independence, European occupation has been completely removed and your sovereignty has been restored. The United Republic wishes for a fruitful relationship in the future, and may Padamia continue to prosper in the future as an ally of the United Republic.

However, fair people of the union, the news brought to our papers recently has put at risk the stability of the nation, and the world. It has been a dark past months, as the South American nations battle for supremacy. This war was, several months ago, very limited in scale. However, with 'recent' developments such as Zhongjiang joining the War and the obscene violations against human rights committed by Pramilandert, it was time something was done. This war shows the true faces of the leaders of the warring factions, The incompetence of the Brazilian government, leaving without prior notice and negotiation, and the deplorable nature of Prahomija, declaring war on the basis of an over-inflated ego being damaged. These nations spill the blood of their populations, ignoring the larger, global issues that plague our world. The Superbug Epidemic continues to grow quicker, famines ravage the world, and ocean-levels are reaching dangerous heights. This world is a sinking boat, everyone must do their part to fill in the holes. However, the foolish nations who continue to fight at a time like this only cause more holes, dragging us all down. As the acting leader of the International Defense Federation, I demand that a peace is found to this pointless war. This is a war that can be fought another day, but I will not stand idly by as you plunge this world into darkness. If peace cannot be found for the time being, expect the wrath of the International Defense Federation on both of you."

He clears his throat and straightens his tie, an excuse to gauge the reaction of the press. He had expressed a level of aggression which had not been seen in his presidency so far, he hoped it would push peace for peace in South America.

<Hubble> "Along with this plague on the international world, we face internal plagues as well. The same people responsible for the death of Zachary Axalis and the bombing of the United Nations building are a disease on our fair nation. These Ultranationalist British Terrorists are Fascist vermin, and as such they should be quickly eradicated and dealt with. The protests in England have caught the attention of the United Republic without taking arms. These Ultranationalists only hurt the cause of British independence, in both the local and international community. I will not release, or even compromise, with a state that has the potential to fall into an alliance with our enemies under a tyrannical government. This pathetic movement will be torn down, and the dogs responsible will be held accountable for their crimes."

He answers questions for the next half hour by the press, most focused on his aggressive acts throughout his speech.

July 2, 2052 - London, England

The European Parliament gathers in London, England. The sky is overcast, like it always is in London. They each take their seats with their parties in the reformed, smaller Parliament building and the session begins.

Minister Fresnel steps into the large War Room under the European Ministry of Defense building. The room is highly protected, with several layers of concrete and blast-resistant material at the top of the building. He takes the cigar our of his mouth and steps up to a table near the middle of the room, with a small map of Britain with larger, zoomed in satellite images of known hideouts of the British Ultranationalist group.

<Curie> "Welcome, Minister Fresnel. Our proposal was green-lit by Parliament, we are free to deal with the Ultranationalists through militaristic force."

<Fresnel> "I am aware, what do you know so far? How many members do they have, what cities are they in, everything we know."

General Pretre speaks up from the back of the room.
<Pretre> "We believe they have anywhere from ten thousand to fifty thousand members."

<Fresnel> "That large of a margin of error?"

<Pretre> "It's difficult to get intel on an underground group with fractured power, we don't even know who leads them."

<Fresnel> "Wonderful, so we know nothing. What of the cities they are stationed in?"

<Curie> "We believe they are stationed in more cities, but we've only confirmed Nottingham, Sheffield, York, and Hull."

Fresnel slams his hands on the table, one of which fell across the map of Great Britain. In the back of his mind, he wondered how much damage that would do in real life, but he suppresses the thought.
<Fresnel> "So we have no intel... We'd might as well begin to deploy in those cities. Keep the campaigns quick and painful, capture as many alive as possible. Disrupt communications around the area, we don't want word to get out to other hideouts that one of their bases was just raided."

<Curie> "We should only have to use light military forces for these, they're unorganized with numbers hardly comparable to our own."

<Fresnel> "Let's hope so."
He lights his cigar again and walks out of the room. The other Generals continue to plan the specifics of the operation, and soldiers are quickly mobilized to their designated locations.

July 4, 2052 - Avlose, France

The European Scientific Exposition, an annual event which allows civilians and universities to showcase scientific advancements and devices, has begun in Avlose. The city is full with people from around the United Republic, all coming to see the event. The first of the three days, as always, is focused on larger panels. The rest of the grounds are inactive, and only one large seating area is open. Night falls and the first panelist takes stage, Dr. Fermi of ETH Zurich.

<Fermi> "Greetings, people of the United Republic. I am Dr. Fermi, and I come with an exciting new development which could make all of our lives slightly easier. My team at ETH Zurich has developed a battery that has the potential to last hundreds of times longer than the strongest mobile batteries to date. Instead of using lithium with battery liquid, we used gold nanowires and electrolyte gel, which drastically increases how many charge cycles the battery will last before having to be replaced."

Fermi steps down from the stage, and is approached by the CEO of Riveria Computers. Another panelist steps onto the stage.

<Postel> "Clean drinking water is one of the most essential resources on Earth, without it, life as we know it would not exist. This device would use solar power plants to strip salt from water, which could provide water for many island nations and nations without any clean drinking water. This technology could be revolutional for the developing world, and nations without enough clean drinking water, providing energy and drinking water for the populations."

Postel steps off the stage and another panelist replaces her, a man from the University of Avlose, he had been at the exposition before showing off the LIAM model.

<King> "Hello, people of this beautiful city. I... Uh... I'm from the University of Avlose, and I wanted to show an update on LIAM, a robot capable of... it uses artificial limbs, something which has been difficult for the field of robotics to simulate."

Two other students push the robot onto a stage, and it walks to the center.

<King> "LIAM has been equipped with an... a basic CPU using qbits, allowing him... it to react much quicker. This paired with previous upgrades make this the second version of LIAM. Faster, more efficient, smarter."

As he walks off of the stage, several other students attempt to trip the bot, with it stopping once a foot is detected. One student steps behind LIAM and throws a tennis ball across the stage, with LIAM stepping to the left quickly once it is within range. After they leave the stage a man from the Center of European Nuclear Research, the organization responsible for the construction of the Large Hadron Collider and a large contributor to assist in the creation of fusion power plants steps onto the stage.

<Meitner> "Greetings, Avlose! I come as a representative of CERN, announcing a new and exciting initiative by our organization. For decades, the Large Hadron Collider has been the most powerful particle collider in the world. We hit a brick wall a decade or so ago, and the LHC was no longer capable of producing new particles for us to study. So, I am happy to announce the CESSC, the Central European Superconducting Supercollider. Planned to be 92 km in circumference, steered by superconducters. This collider will surely help us unlock the secrets of the universe!"

The crowd claps as the main panels end, the full event will begin tomorrow with hundreds of smaller panels.

July 5, 2052 - Berlin, Germany

Minister Dawkins sits in a conference room, drumming his fingers on the table in front of him. He waits for the Russian diplomat, but the purpose of the meeting was not known to him. He hated surprises. All of the sudden, the door opens and the envoys walk into the room, he shakes the hand of the envoy.
<Dawkins> "Ah, welcome to Berlin, Mr. Azarov. Take a seat."

Vadim Azarov was a serious man with an even more serious demeanor, of course it was to be expected. The diplomatic mission that he had been given was a delicate one, and one of the most important. It was a major agenda for Russia to reclaim St. Petersburg within peaceful means. Vadim Azarov wore the newly approved diplomatic uniform which was a brown twin breasted jacket with black pants and finely polished shoes, the party symbol was worn on an arm band on his left arm.
<Azarov> "Good day Mr. Dawkins it's a pleasure to be here in Berlin on this day. I have been appointed as the senior diplomatic officer to your fine nation. I hope this is just the first of many meetings that strengthen Russia's and your nation's relations. The first and most important issue is for the return of St. Petersburg to Russia. Also the Slavic Empire is acting aggressively towards us, perhaps you could intervene and help with the situation."

Minister Dawkins, while holding a straight face, is deeply surprised by his comment. He had expected this to be a diplomatic mission pushing to ease Russian-European relations.
<Dawkins> "The Slavic Empire's aggression is justified, we've all heard the stories of the Alanksandov Massacre, Mr. Azarov. I don't see the Slavic Empire turning St. Petersburg over to Russia, especially in the current diplomatic atmosphere between the two of you. Why did you not go to the Slavic government with these concerns?"

<Azarov> My good sir, the reason we come to you with this is due to the fact we believe that the Slavic Empire will listen to reason with you. After the war relations between Russia and the Slavic Empire has been stretched and with recent events it has been at a boiling point. Before I go any further, yes I as well have been notified of the crimes committed and I assure you that proper punishment is being handed out. Right now Eastern Europe is on the verge of another war, and one that will consume the world. If the Slavic Empire attacks or provokes us do you think that it will just be us that will act? We have allies and friends, perhaps more then the Slavic Empire does. I'm here to give you the chance to save millions. I'm sure your president wants to be known as the man who saved the world. I have a letter here from Chancellor Reltih with a promise of peace in our time but it depends on how you receive it. Yes we want St. Petersburg back, the treaty of Paris that dismantled Russia was an unjust one and we just want assurance that you take this serious. The Slavic Empire will listen to you. Now do you wish to proceed with our talks or do I need to go back to Moscow to inform the Chancellor of my failure and make plans for the war to come? Which side of history do you and your president want to stand on?

<Dawkins> "The Treaty of Paris was meant to cripple the possibility of dictatorial regimes taking power in nations, and to weaken their militaristic capabilities. I'm sure the millions of Indians ruthlessly slaughtered in the nuclear bombings of Mumbai and New Delhi would disagree on your stance of the treaty. St. Petersburg is Slavic territory, I will not push my ally to concede land without justification, the people of St. Petersburg are content. Your threats of war and the deaths of millions show the side of the Russian Federation in history. I'd rather be on the side of history of a nation which stood against evil than one who let it happen. I don't want to have to spill the blood of innocents on the aggression of Russia, but I will defend my allies if it comes to it. If you have nothing else to say, you may leave."

Azarov grabs his coat and stomps out of the room, followed by the other Russian envoys. After they leave, Dawkins collects his papers and returns to his office. When he arrives, he drops into his chair and stares up at the ceiling, putting his hands on his forehead and beginning to chuckle.

<Dawkins> "Wow... What a fucking complete disaster... That couldn't have gone more horribly."

He sits up in his chair and opens his email. Even though his previous diplomatic mission has failed, it wouldn't stop another bold initiative.

We do not seek war with your people, and we do not threaten you with such if conference is not held, but we request serious consideration on this request. Together, we could stand as a strong, European state. A united world is the inevitable outcome of humanity's continued progression, and we would like your help to make that a reality. July 7, 2052 - York, England

Night is falling in York, soldiers of the United Republic sent to quell the British Ultranationalists have been standing by all day.

<Aveline> "Just got the signal from Colonel Delsarte, we're good to go."

<Marais> "Let's hope we time this right... If we can take them by surprise at the same time, this base should fall."

<Aveline> "Let's not delay... Go."

They rush through the dark to near the front door, shooting two guards at the front entrance. They hear gunshots in the distance.

<Derocles> "Sounds like they made it."

All three entrances are burst at the same time by three different groups, attempting to capture as many as possible. Bullets fly through the base as soldiers fight their way inwards, in attempts to capture the director of their hideout in York. Several run away from the base, but are caught by helicopters hovering above the base. The base is captured, with large casualties on both sides. All locations or method of contact with any of the other bases were destroyed during the fight and the leader of the base was killed, but several other revolutionaries were captured and moved for interrogation.

<Delsarte> "Well, we destroyed a base, but we gained no intelligence on the organization... Minister Fresnel isn't going to be happy."

<Aveline> "Let's hope the other three bases were secured and that they gained some intel."

Kiian Saji was very excited today, for today was the first time he was to meet the leader of the Persian Empire. The meeting had been planned for seemingly ages now and they would finally get the chance to meet him. He was waiting in a simple meeting room with a oak table, some comfortable chairs, and a small bowl of various candies. Eventually he heard footsteps approach the tall wooden door that lead into the room. A government employee opened the door and in walked Juseff Kashmir, leader of what was hoped to become The Raj Confederacy's new greatest ally...

<Kiian Saji> Welcome welcome, please have a seat. We've been awaiting this meeting for far too long

<Juseff> Thank you, it is quite an honour to be in India, I was hurt when the first meeting with the former Prime Minister in the Indo-Pakistai border was cancelled.

<Kiian Saji> Now then, allow us to get down to business. I imagine you have a rough idea of our topic of discussion today?

<Juseff> Well my main intention here is to strengthen the Indo-Persian relationships, so maybe the military matters, economic agreements and other proposals you might give

<Kiian Saji> Spot on, I believe it is in both of our nations best interests to strengthen ties. I'd say that the most important part of any relation our people should have would be military. I think both of us know of the need for a strong military these days, especially with the wars in Myanmar and Southern Africa raging on. What are your opinions on joint military training in Raj territorial waters?

Juseff : That would be wonderful, as it will show to them the competency and power if our military prowess,

<Kiian Saji> Excellent, I believe that the RCS Typhoon Aircraft Carrier and its support group should be getting deployed in the Arabian Sea in about a month after its round trip to the European Indian Ocean Territory. They could resupply and meet up with one of your own fleets for training

Juseff: The first fleet is already deployed, but you could attach it with my 2nd and 3rd Fleet, so we could start training, I have also a fleet in the Bay of Bengal, maybe you could also join with them as they go back in the Arabian Sea

<Kiian Saji> That's great to hear, we'll determine any other assets we have in the West and join them as well. This exercise should be very useful for our troops. Now then, I suppose we should move on to military co-operation in other parts of the world, you already have troops deployed in Myanmar and like us, are planning an intervention in Mozambique are you not?

Juseff: Yes as I have already stated, I have already the 1st Naval Fleet in the Southern Indian Ocean, maybe you could send them in Tanganyika

<Kiian Saji> Full Indian plans for the war are still underway, we're currently working closely with the North African Federation to determine the best possible plan for Indian troops to land. But in the meanwhile we're moving many of our ships out of the Bay of Bengal now that the war in Myanmar has lost the need for large ship deployments with the fall of Rangoon. Napyahdaw is currently the final region we must take to be victorious and bring an end to the conflict

Juseff: Now that you brought that up, what are you planning to give as a reward for Persia? I mean, we have sent precious volunteers for your war.

<Kiian Saji> While the promise of Burman land to Persia is an utterly insane proposal, I think we can negotiate several bases to be handed over to Persia and free Persian access to the port of Rangoon, does that seem like a good price for your assistance in the war?

Juseff: I believe that is fair, my government will take care of the welfare of my fallen ones, let's change the subject abit, are you planning to start a space program?

<Kiian Saji> Yes as a matter of fact, Indian space technology has advanced rapidly over the last few decades. Several major missions are being planned as we speak, and while I can't name all of them, one of them is the placement of a rover on a moon of Jupiter

Juseff: The NAF, and I have discussed for a possible joint program maybe we could integrate you for a joint mission in mars

<Kiian Saji> That would be a wonderful proposal, currently our tech on Mars is all from the 30's, and many in the RSEA (Raj Space Exploration Agency) are still irritated that we were turned down a spot on both ISS's

Juseff: How about any proposed economic agreements you night propose?

<Kiian Saji> At the moment I don't see any trade deal that the Raj needs in regards to what Persia can offer, although investments are welcomed especially now as we begin taking baby steps in repairing the damage done to New Delhi and Mumbai

Juseff: I meant maybe lower taxes and by the way we have also started investing in India through the ION initiative. Also, any other proposals you might proposed?

<Kiian Saji> Well, yes actually. This idea is still in development but many have noticed what could be the start of a Afro-Eurasian highway system developing in various regions. It is my opinion that one day goods can be driven from places as far as Dar es Saleem and London to India. However you may have figured out that there are next to no international highways leading to and from Persia, I'm sure with a bit of investment we could successfully create a Persia-Indian superhighway. This idea is still in debate but I would love to hear your opinion on the matter

Juseff: Well if you are not aware, we have an Imperial Railway System, it would be very easy to connect with the vast Persian Markets, and also we are also planning to connect with the NAF-Levant railway, making it possible to be connected to NAF aswell

<Kiian Saji> I am well aware of the state of infrastructure in your nation, we are impressed that you managed to develop it almost completely on your own and in a relatively short amount of time. We think it could be connected to the Raj Central Highway system which is currently in a state of massive expansion as we try to connect the North and South halves. It is truly beautiful, the interconnectedness of the world, isn't it?

Juseff : Agreed, in the meantime we will be improving some parts as funds have arrived we will be upgrading it with the Hyperloop technology from the URE

<Kiian Saji> The Europeans have been a major help to many developing countries over the years, this is undeniable. We are all lucky to have them as allies. On a completely different topic, how goes the implementation of NAF made GMO crops in your country? In Raj we're slowly replacing many of our old crops with new genetically modified ones. We're also planning a massive vertical farm right in the heart of Kolkata

Juseff: They have been massively advertised and promoted by the government, and by vertical farmings you meant about the PCE's project Eden? Also I would like to introduce a new aquaculture technology, the RAS System. As soon as the first facility is done it will be available for my fellow allies.

<Kiian Saji> Sounds intriguing, the Raj is always looking for ways to improve our agricultural field. May I ask the function of this "RAS System?"

Juseff: Ah, the RAS, Recirculating Aquaculture System. It is I believe the first indoor aquaculture farm, it has the capability to produce healthier, and better fish than the traditional farming. Because of its treatment systems it can house all kind of sealife, which means it can help to reproduce the current endangered aquatic life. It has the ability to sustain itself because if it's minimum energy use, and it can also emit zero waste. And after the first facility is done, we will give the priority for the licensed fishermen because we will be greatly minimizing the fishing number

<Kiian Saji> Sounds like an incredible piece of work, perhaps when it is completed a few can be installed in the Southern Raj where we desperately need better means of fish production

Juseff: Wonderful! I tell you when the first facility is done maybe you could send in engineers to take a look at it. And any last topics we may discuss?

<Kiian Saji> That would be lovely. But I think that covers all topics of discussion, unless you can think of any more. Shall we go out for the pictures? The media is hopping to see some world leaders together

We have concluded that it is high time for a union between our great countries, Sri Lanka and India have been extraordinarily entwined through out our entire history. We believe it is high time for our people to come together once again and create what could be a perfect union.

The sounds of gunfire was everywhere as the Raj Confederate Army made its approach to the government complex in Naypyidaw. The Burman Arm had thrown everything they could muster into this defense but it was far from enough, the Indian 4 to 1 soldier advantage had allowed for Raj tanks, armored trucks, and over 230, 000 troops to easily move up to Myanmar's capital "city" via the 12 lane highways leading directly to it. The Raj air supremacy allowed bombers to destroy any defenses blocking their path.

Greetings, dear fellow Slavs.

I write you today to reassure you that our country only wants peace and stability, and is very focused on the goal to establish a peaceful environment in the region, especially with our neighbours. After almost two years of quasi-isolationism, it is almost obvious how the country, while still remaining highly focused on the military, is currently peaceful.

Now tho, we shall move to the real core of this letter. You all are goverments of fellow Slavic countries, and with some of you Southern brothers, namely Balkania, Slovenia, and, until recently, Serbia, we had even formed an alliance called OCSSP. That alliance has not been dissolved, and that is, indeed, the main focus of this letter: rebuild it.

The OCSSP was meant to keep us safe, to make us stand together and cooperate. The outbreak of a tremendous disease tho, forced us, the Northen Slavic Empire, to turn into isolation, to fight it here - with pretty decent results, I should say. We subsenquently stopped almost all of our foreign policy initiatives, but the OCSSP remained, and will continue to do so.

We therefore ask you, brothers and sisters, fellow Slavs, to enter, or re-enter, the OCSSP. Remember what happened to Rome when they attacked Slovenia? The same wrath will be unleashed on whoever tried to attack any of the member states, no metter when, where, or how: we will be there, to help our brothers and sisters, to kill and defeat the enemy.

Brothers, Sisters, fellow Slavs of Balkania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Serbia, we beg you, for the safety of your sons and daughters and for the one of their children as well, please accept our offer.

For years now, the Northern Slavic Empire and Slovenia have been cooperating for the security of the Balkans, and this has been mostly demonstrated by the swift and strong response of the Northern Slavic Empire to the Roman aggression against your country. Here in the Northern Slavic Empire, we believe the time has come for our two great and glorious Countries to bring said cooperation to a new, unique level. A level not only unique, but united as well.

We hereby propose you to take part in a conference to join the Empire, one to be held in Kyiv, part of the Kingdom of Ukraine, which is part of our Empire.

Details would be discussed at the conference, but the general outline would be a large degree of autonomy inside the empire, for a common army, market, foreign policy, currency, head of State and taxes.

We write to you today regarding two different issues: first off would be the possibility of building a naval-air base in your country, to be operated by us, secondly, yet more importantly, is the possibility of monetary help from our country towards yours.

For what concerns the military base, it's something we hold very closely: we believe it would be a very important step forward in our bi-lateral relations. It would be a dsplay of friendship, trust, will to cooperate, and, perhaprs strangely but more than anything else, it would be a show of force. Furthermore, with tensions gorwing all around the world, it would be very helpful for your country to have a base operated by us, in case of enemy threats coming from the Persian Gulf. To be precise, we would like the military base to be built, if you will give your consent, in Jāsk or, alternatively, in Bandar Abbas.

Regarding the second "issue", we would like to make clear that we could ou offer ytwo things: first off, we could offer a 50 billion $ loan, with money taken directly from our Statal Monetary Reserve, the same source from which the money for other various loans in Africa were taken. It would have an interest rate to be fixed at 0,5% yearly, and would have to be repaid in a seventy-five years time-laps maximum; secondly, we would like to start an investent plan in your country which, worth 27 billion $, could really help shifting the regional balance of powers decisively in your favour, by expanding your industrial capabilities both in the military and in the civilian field.

We hope for our future cooperation to be even more fruitful than in the past.

Greetings,

I write to you today, as I wish to offer you something which I believe could interest you. This being said, I also find myself in the position of having to tall you that we consider ourselves as the protector of the Slavs, and your regional neighbours in Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Balkania, and Slovenia are first and foremost that: Slavs. I do not wish to start our relations in a bad way, but I have already seen a country grow stronger and stronger day by day with our help as well, just to then turn against Slovenia and us as well, and I don't want this to happen with your country as well.

Moving onto the letter's main topic, I propose the creation of a confederation called Danube Confederation, which would involve our two countries. None of us two would lose sovereignity, there is no need to worry about that: we would have a common foreign policy, and a common market. The currencies would remain two different ones, yet they would be linked to each other via a fixed exchange rate. The militaris would remain separated, but there would be the creation of a higher command to coordinate operations, as such a Confederation would comprise a Military Alliance as well, and Joint Battle Groups formed by soldiers of the two countries.

<Barta> "It's fine, I'm fine, you're fine, we're all fine. I don't even remember what I was doing last night. What time is it anyway?"

Prime Minister Barta pulls out his phone and sees that it was 6:09 A.M. on July 13, 2052.

<Barta> "Wow, almost four full hours of sleep, that must be the most I've slept all month. This job is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure."

May 6, 2052 had marked the two-year anniversary since he was elected into the office of Prime Minister. Barta was already more than halfway through his term, yet he couldn't shake the feeling that he hasn't lived up to many of his promises yet. Sure he played an integral role in helping Greece defeat Bulgaria and preventing a war between Serbia and Balkania, but he felt there was something still missing. The Prime Minister walks over to the television and tunes in just in time to catch the latest breaking news from the Expositional News Network.

Hello and welcome to ENN, your most trusted source for shoe-horned in exposition. This just in, Prime Minister Barta's midterm approval ratings have been determined, and they aren't looking pretty. Despite bringing relative peace to the Balkans, the Prime Minister's approval sits at a measly 48%. It turns out, many are displeased by the handling of the superbug epidemic, and are weary of the recently passed I-SPI bill. Furthermore, many blame the steadily decreasing relations with Turkey, as well as the closing of the Bosphorus Strait, on the actions and decisions of Prime Minister Barta. He has also yet to make any progress on clean energy development or energy independence for the Republic, and is generally disliked by Moldovans for his failure to come to meet with the formerly independent country in person. Fortunately for the Prime Minister, he has another two years to try and mend these issues and bring those numbers up. This has been an ENN special report!

<Barta> "Typical ENN spreading all of this fake news! I ought to go on social media right now and blast them for this propaganda!"

The referendum in Serbia did not turn up the results that the Prime Minister wanted or expected. In a stunning decision, Montenegro narrowly voted to stay in a union with the aggressive Serbia. Reports of election fraud and hacking have naturally been cast by the losing side, and now it was up to Barta to decide how he was going to react to the situation. After thorough deliberation, the Prime Minister makes up his mind and gets busy sending a message to the Serbian Imperator.

The election proved that the Montenegrin people determined that they would be better suited under your country's leadership. I so greatly hope that this peaceful resolution to these recent conflicts will act as a springboard towards a more open cooperation between our neighboring states. Dacia would certainly appreciate getting to work with Serbia to resolve future problems in the region, and I pray that this feeling is mutual. This one is directed towards the President of the North African Federation, who graciously invited the entirety of the Balkan Initiative to METO, despite Dacia having no direct access to the Mediterranean Sea yet. After both Graxium and Balkania had accepted the invitation, Barta figured he had no choice but to accept.

Your invitation of the Federal Republic of Dacia into METO helps us to accomplish just that! Like Dacia's allies before her, we humbly accept the NAF's request for us to join the Organization. I hope that this arrangement will spurn forth an age of Balkan prosperity that has yet to be seen before over the course of human history. If I may ask one thing though, the Federal Republic of Dacia would also implore that Albania be admitted into METO as well, we believe that the nation would make a fine addition indeed. Upon completion of the messages and having them sent to both the Serbian Imperator and the African President, Benedek Barta heads back to his residence to get ready for his trip to Craiova. He and his wife Eveline would be heading to their destination in order to address the congregation of Balkan Initiative diplomats at the alliance's summit. They decide to travel light this time around, as the summit will only last for one day, and so it was unnecessary to bring a lavish amount of clothing. When the Prime Minister and his wife were finished, they headed to the airport via motorcade, destined for Craiova.

July 15, 2052

As the Prime Minister's motorcade departed from the hotel where he and his wife stayed the night, he noticed how many people were gathered along the sidewalks as they approached the building where the Balkan Initiative Summit was being held. They were all protestors, decrying the offenses of the Barta administration, especially the superbug and the quarantine that was enacted. Fortunately, security personnel managed to ensure that the protest remained peaceful, and the Prime Minister was able to get to the summit without intrusion. The delegations for Graxium and Balkania had already gathered, and stood up to applaud as Barta entered the room. The Prime Minister had many topics which he wishes to not only bring up with the members of the Balkan Initiative, but with the whole world, as he made sure the summit was being televised.

<Barta> "Greeting members of the fledging Balkan Initiative. Today we gather to commemorate the first congregation of our alliance in a summit-like fashion. First, I would like to congratulate ourselves for taking this first, monumental step towards establishing peace, cooperation, and stability in our region. We have such a promising alliance going so far, and I would like to suggest that we expand our current membership to further ensure that conflict may never again arise in the Balkans. Therefore, I suggest that we hereby invite Albania, Macedonia, and the newly democratized Bulgaria into the Balkan Initiative. I believe that in doing so, we will prove to the world that the cooperative is not some gimmick that will fade away in the years to come, but in fact a legitimate symbol of the progress we've made as a region for all eternity!

Now, I am afraid, that we must turn to a much more dire issue at hand. The oppressive Turks continue to prove to the world that they have no respect for international law and cooperation, and so have closed the Bosphorus Strait. In response to this heinous action, I hereby propose that we, the Balkan Initiative, halt all dealings with the Turkish state, effectively boycotting them. I would also encourage the rest of the Balkan Peninsula to follow suit in this endeavor, so that we may prove that we are not mere punching bags for larger countries to abuse. Together, we can achieve great things and work to end tyranny in the world! Unfortunately, as a result of the Bosphorus closing, Dacia now has no access to the Mediterranean Sea, and so is at risk of suffering economically. Thus, I implore Balkania to consider allowing us to use her ports until this mess can be resolved. This same request goes out to the great nation of Graxium, as our three nations combined can use our network of highways to accomplish the task.

Finally, as you all well know by now, a superbug bacteria known as Mycobacterium Ataxia is currently ravaging the whole of the continent. The plague is lethal and contagious, and recent quarantine efforts by Dacia have proven to be ineffective. It is for this reason that I declare Dacia will henceforth end its quarantine policy and join the global effort to find a cure for the superbug. We will be joining the likes of the Slavic Empire, the North African Federation, and the Republic of Europe in a joint research initiative to end this disease! I must therefore ask the likes of Graxium and Balkania to do the same and join the cure effort. This will not only benefit our own individual nation-states, but also the entirety of mankind! I thank you all for your attendance to this summit, and I hope it proves to be a great success! You may now all be dismissed."

While the Prime Minister awaits the respective decisions of Graxium and Balkania, he has plans to attempt to circumvent the effectiveness of the Turkish blockade. Dacia will use the canal that links the Danube River with the Rhine River in order to retain access to the Atlantic Ocean. The process is lengthy and certainly not favorable, but it is better than nothing, so long as Dacia can still get to the Mediterranean. In the event that this proves to be ineffective, the Prime Minister has secretly ordered for all trade vessels to proceed through the strait regardless of it being closed off. The vessels will be escorted by disarmed Dacian warships in an attempt to see what kind of response this would evoke from the Turks.

British Royal Family Spotted in Canada

Earlier this morning, the former British Royal Family was spotted in Toronto, Canada. After years of missing, with no body found in the ruins of London and no heir to the throne found, it was believed the family had fled. It is believed that the Canadian government took them in at the conclusion of the Franco-British War. Some experts believe that this has the potential to be something the British people rally around in support of their monarch.

Central American Republic falls under Mexico

The leader of the Central American Republic, a small, unstable nation nestled between Mexico and their Panamanian holdings, had announced this afternoon that they would be absorbed into Mexico. This was, seemingly, caused by continued aggression from the Mexican government towards their weak nation, despite possible protection by the Americans. The Mexican government claims that they joined due to instability, which would be cracked down upon by the stronger Mexican government, but many believe corruption is to blame for their annexation.

Great Amazonian War Rages on

Brazillian soldiers have pulled back to the Amazon allowing Pramilandert soldiers to continue to march through the harsh jungles and claim land. Conditions in the Amazon worsen as soldiers continue to advance into the jungles. Brazillian soldiers have advanced on the jungles of Peru, with rioters blocking supplies for a Pramilandert defense in the area. Firebombs detonated over the jungle have garnered the attention of the international community, who widely criticize Pramilandert. The Argentinean-Chilean Union is believed to be sending supplies to Peru and Brazil, but not irrefutable evidence has been found.

Peruvian Riots Worsen, GDC support

Riots in Peru continue to devolve, rioters storm military warehouses and take up arms against the Pramilandert government. A pseudo-militia has been formed by the Peruvian "government," with a large presence in Lima and the surrounding area, with the revolution spreading to other parts of Pramilandert to fight against the dictator Prahomija, including Ecuador. The Peruvian "government" has been reported requesting support from the Zhongjiang in exchange for joining the Golden Dragon Confederation if Peruvian independence is secured.

Ataxia Initiative Expands

The Ataxia Initiative, a proposal set forth by the United Republic to end the superbug epidemic, continues to expand with Mexico, Canada, Veneto, Padamia, Sicily, Miramo, Netherlands, Graxium, Argentina-Chile, Dacia, and the Confederacy of the Raj all joining the initiative. With a membership this large, the superbug is projected to be cured by the end of next year.

It came to a surprise to the international community when, despite the aggression foreign expansion policy the United Republic has demonstrated in the past, the Netherlands accepted holding a conference on the topic of integration into the United Republic. Opinion polls done by the Global Tribune show that the small nation is split on the topic, some wish to join the United Republic due to globalist sentiments, unifying with the rest of their West European brothers, and escaping rising seas. Meanwhile, others wish to remain independent due to the aggression the United Republic has shown in the past and dissimilar cultures.

The fall of Naypyidaw, Burma surrenders to the Confederacy of the Raj, Treaty of Tangoon is signed

Despite foreign expeditionary forces, the Confederacy of the Raj has successfully stormed Burma's capital, which fell after a mass assault on the city. A large group of Burmese soldiers barracaded themselves within the Uppatasanti Pagoda, which eventually fell after a large assault by the foreign soldiers, supported by air power. The flag of the Raj can now be seen flying over the Pagoda, and although sporadic fighting is still being reported from some suburbs, most of Naypyidaw is believed to have been cleared of organized resistance.

Not long after the fall of their capital, the Burmese nation could no longer withstand the pressure from the overwhelming number of Raj forces throughout their nation. The Burmese government has gone into exile, and the main forces inside of the nation have surrendered. Not long after the collapse of the Burmese nation, the Treaty of Tangoon was signed officially integrating Burma into the Confederacy of the Raj.

Tsunami hits Tacloban

Late last night, a large earthquake caused a Tsunami to form, hitting the city of Tacloban in the Philippines. This city of nearly three-hundred thousand has large sections underwater and devastated. An estimated 50,000 have been killed, with the rest of the city being displaced. Refugees flee to nearby cities, as the Phillipine government struggles to control the situation. The government has begun calling out to the international community for aid.

The Aganju Regime Begins Peace Talks

Not long after the war against Namibia and South Africa, it ended with the entrance of the CLONE into the war with soldiers from the Regime pulling their occupation out of Namibia. The Aganju Regime is solid in keeping their government in control, but they offer borderlands to Tanzania and Namibia and reparations in exchange for peace.

North Korea Nukes Sokcho and Cheorwan

The North Korean Nationalists, which have been getting rapidly pushed back by the South Koreans. With no support from any other nationalist nations, the government has nearly given up hope for winning. In response to their soon-to-be demise, the North Korean government sends several nuclear weapons over the border, only two of which land. The cities of Sokcho and Cheorwan are wiped off of the map with casualties over 200,000. The South Korean military ruthlessly pushes into North Korean lands, brutally massacring any who cause trouble for continued advance.

Sardinia votes to join Miramo

After a close referendum was tallied for the fate of Sardinia, the small nation voted to join Miramo, the state controlling the South of the Italian Peninsula. Despite what is stated in the Treaty of Naples, the nation will refrain from changing their name to Mediterraneo, and will hold the name Miramo.

Saba Surrenders to the Holy Arabian Caliphate

The nation of Saba's government has gone into exile and their main forces have capitulated to the Holy Arabian Caliphate after a barrage of brutal gas attacks and ruthless advancement. The former nation has now been completely integrated into the Holy Arabian Caliphate, and the citizens have been put under the brutal Shariah Law enforced in the Caliphate.

Tanzania invades Burundi

The Burundi Genocide against Ethnic Twa people continues to devolve, and the death tolls continue to raise to extreme heights. The Tanzanian President, who reportedly wept when reading the casualty report, has announced that they have taken it upon themselves to secure peace in Burundi. Soldiers crossed over the border in full force into the jungles of Burundi. Ruthless gurillea fighting is reportedly occuring, trying to stop the Tanzanian forces from sacking the capital of Bujumbura.

Iron Guard Surrenders, Angolan Civil War Ends

The Iron Guard announced last night that they could no longer withstand the pressure from the overwhelming number of democratic forces throughout their nation. The Iron Guard government is being tried for war crimes, and the main forces inside of the nation have surrendered. A quick treaty was signed, and Angola falls under control of the Democratic Front. The nation has been named to the Republic of Angolon.

It came as a surprise to no one when, after several days of voting, the regions of Piedmont and Liguria rejoined with their Italian brothers in Padamia instead of the United Republic. Integration is already believed to have started, with the temporary nation projected to be fully integrated into Padamia by the end of the month.

Fighting resumes between Democratic Congolese Front and Imperial Congo

After the last Pramilanderti soldiers in the Congo were killed, the Congolese Civil War had begun again between the Democratic Front and Imperial Congo. Reports show a large advantage to the Democratic Front, with Imperial Congo controlling nothing but jungle. The Imperial Congo has held the advance of the Democratic Front back thus far, but it is believed they will break soon.

Balkan-Slavic Schism

The divide between North Slav and South Slav has continued to grow greater, as a shared Balkan identity caused by the Slovenian Genocide has begun to take form. Several nations deny joining the OCSSP, all except Slovenia, who has a greater shared identity with the Slavic Empire and Serbia, who despises the Balkan Initiative.

Kamal Ibrahim claims Presidency in North Africa

A close election between the Progressives and Federalists in the North African Federation, the Progressives projected to win or lose by a slim 2% margin. Several days before the election, a coalition government was announced between the Progressives, Social Democrats, and Environmentalists, which held a clear victory in the election, with the Kamal Ibrahim, the Progressive candidate, claiming the presidency. The Environmentalists and Social Democratic parties have both demanded a significant portion of the new President's cabinet.

United Republic Economy Grows

It has been reported this morning by the European Treasury that the GDP of the United Republic has grown in response to trade deals with North Africa and economic reformation projects. By the end of the year, the GDP of the United Republic is expected to be approximately 24 Trillion USD.

Ataxia Declared a Pandemic by the WHO, Placed on Watchlist

News came from the World Health Organization this afternoon when Director-General of the WHO had officially named the Ataxia Plague a global pandemic due to it's continued infection rates rising in several nations. The Ataxia Plague was also placed on the WHO watch list, already dangerous, WHO warns that it could become unstoppable.

Midwest Droughts

Farmers throughout the Midwest of the United States have begun reporting droughts, causing crop yields to worsen overtime. Agricultural experts predict that this will put salt in the wound of the famines currently taking lives worldwide, with the potential to bring the famines to the Americas in a more dramatic manner. They call for a unified, global agreement to research into farming technologies and methods of food production, similar to the Ataxia Initiative which has been making headlines.

Ultra-nationalists in Britain Fight against United Republic

Over the past several days, reports have been coming in from all over Northeast England stating that United Republic and British Ultra-nationalist forces have been battling in the streets of several cities. York, Nottingham, and Hull are believed to have been cleared from ultra-nationalist forces, but the attack in Sheffield was a failure, and the soldiers there were more than estimated. It is believed that this base had alerted others, and there has been an increase in reports of armed individuals from Manchester, Liverpool, and nearly every other North English city.

Sri Lankan Government Agrees to Conference with Confederacy of the Raj

The President of Sri Lanka had announced this morning that he would be holding a conference with the Confederacy of the Raj on the topic of integration. After several opinion polls done by the Global Tribune show a heavy consensus towards joining the Confederacy. The government has shown this disposition too, but has promised to stay in the realm of logic and rationality despite personal opinion.

Japanese military fights against Ultra-nationalist rebellion

In certain parts of Japan, namely Kyoto and Nagoya, ultra-nationalist rebellions have been seen in the streets. The Japanese riot police are unable to keep them down, and the military has been called in to stop the ultra-nationalists from gaining too much power.

Slovenia Denies Conference Request

Even though Slovenia joins the OCSSP, the government has reportedly refused the conference request from the Slavic Empire, invigorated with a sense of national pride and identity after surviving the Slovenian Genocide. Instead, they continue to rebuild themselves, but believe the topic of integration may be revisited in the near future.

Brazillian Economic Crisis

Parents being forced to leave the factories on the coasts has reportedly crumbled the Brazillian economy. They have fallen into an economic downturn unlikely to recover for years to come. Most of the Brazillian budget is currently being funneled into the War with Pramilandert, unable to keep Social Programs running. This has caused riots in the nation, people fight to not be forcefully displaced, and people mock the foolishness of the Brazillian government. There have been reports that some citizens are turning towards Carnerio Rocha, the man believed to be behind the coup attempt, to bring prosperity to Brazil.

Paraguay Surrenders to Brazil

It was announced by King Daniel of Brazil this morning that the nation of Paraguay had surrendered, the Paraguayan government could no longer withstand the overwhelming number of Brazillian soldiers within their nation. The former government has gone into exile, and Brazil now controls their homeland. Even though the war on this front has ended, it continues to rage on the Pramilandert front

Zhongjiang lands in Lima

Satellite imagery from the beaches of Lima has shown a mass amount of Zhongjiang soldiers landing. Within around an hour of fighting, the beachhead was secured and the full landing force arrived. The Battle of Lima was a short one, with mass assistance from the inside by Peruvian revolutionaries. The temporary leader of the movement, has warned Zhongjiang, stating that "Your presence in Peru is not an occupation, it is a liberation. Your soldiers will treat my territory as an ally, not as an area being conquered. I will not hesitate to remove your soldiers if you do not comply.

With the entrance of Russia and the rest of the GDC into the war, the situation is bleak for Pramilandert."

Central Asian War Comes to an End

With the Central Asian War looking like it will rage on for several more years, both sides signed on a peace agreement in which Turkestan would fall under a Democratic government and, after ceding several territories to neighboring powers, Armenia would become ultra-nationalist.

Bulgaria and FYROM join Balkan Initiative, Dacia supplied through Balkania

It was announced this evening that both Bulgaria and FYROM will be joining the Balkan Initiative, an alliance put forth by Dacia. Albania, while they were invited, announced that they would attempt to maintain their neutrality and semi-isolation policy. Meanwhile, Balkania has agreed to allow supplies move through their ports into Dacia in response to the closing of the Bosphorous Strait by the Sultanate of Anatolia.

The Point of no Return

Pramilandert, seeing massive success upon its northern front with Brazil, especially its Atlantic Naval Campaign which had been codenamed Operation Burghata, has found it possible to respond to the riots in the southern portions of the country, as well as finding it had no more need for such a large naval presence in the Atlantic, with Brazil's Royal Navy shattered, and all of its enemies coming from across the Pacific. Empress 'Prahomija', upon having rewritten her name in the Turkic script as Praömia Andaluşı and officialised it, had also returned to the motherland, believing she was victorious in the Amazon, as Brazil was about to fold in upon itself, ready to attend the first gathering of those following 'Fennexism', which made up 20% of the population, classing as a spiritual belief, which could work syncretically with Christianity, or working as its own faith, being comparable to some other religions such as the Lithuanian Romuva or the Mongolian Tengriism in this manner.

Catholicism had been on a steep decline in northern Pramilandert for a long time now, which has almost always conformed to the ways of the monarchy, namely due to the neglect of religious institutions in the past twenty years, people having been more focused upon a failed pan-nationalist movement, and then focused upon educating themselves to find a place in a much changed land they inhabited. Less than half of the former Colombian-Venezuelan-Guyanese population had admitted to being an active participant of the Catholic Church.

Giving a vague overview, warwise, the Atlantic Fleet, with Commanders Carlos Magnolo, Germain Auger and the newly assigned Lieutenant Commander Tokdemir Saban, had given one final bombing to the Brazilian coast, laying waste to docks in key cities such as Rio de Janeiro, cruise missiles and incendiary bombings laying waste to many uninhabited city residential and industrial blocks, their fleet, consisting of 3/4 of the Pramilanderti Royal Navy, having now crossed through the Panama Canal to regroup with the Pacific Battlegroup, which had retreated to the Panama Canal after facing defeat from the GDC coalition, the PBG remaining mostly intact and following through with these three commanders to conduct a counterattack and trap the GDC forces and forever cripple their navies.

Meanwhile, Bila Chavez had landed and was back on the mainland, and, working with the escaped High Major Serkan Metin, whom of which was now a Colonel for his bravery, were working towards Lima with a force of just under two million soldiers, utilising the entire 16-Lane G.A.S. (Great Andean Subway) to transport infantry and light vehicle divisions, whilst heavier vehicles, aircraft and to maximise transportation efficiency, highways had been cleared for other motorised infantry divisions, allowing for the moving of such a large force towards central Peru in under a week's time. The southern defence, versus the Brazilian advance has been told to lay in wait in the Andes, where they'd have a grand defensive advantage versus the Brazilians, supplied by a massive tunnel complex which had been in use since the time of Martinez, their positions in hillside bunkers and bases being incredibly hard for the Brazilians to assault with their limited supply and lack of airpower.

Speaking of airpower, only about five hundred planes, these being 200 'Magdalena', 50 'Leviathan' and 250 'Reiterm' were conducting sorties in Brazil - yet these alone could rain down hell on earth upon the poor Brazillians, who'd given up a side of the Amazon River for the Pramilanderti, where they'd stand their ground and pound them with 'Kazan' missile systems and ruin communications with 'Hentma' mobile radio jamming systems. The war in the Amazon was at a 'stalemate', but it was clear who'd be the loser in a few months time. Some makeshift flood defences have been set up, to make sure the trench and

Time was not Pramilandert's only enemy, though... With the IDF threat of entry, a compromise had to be reached with the IDF, whom of which had ignored the international statements made by Felipe San Martin. Later on in this day, he would attempt to diplomatically stall, or even solve the situation of IDF involvement, having arranged an invite for a conference with their diplomats in Prahomitopraklary.

'...and so, we now have the Atlantic to our backs, and the Pacific is what greets us. In the past few months, a lot has changed... We've received word of the Brazilians being almost depleted of their supply stockpile, and now experiencing incredible unrest, but also, it seems a coalition of the Russian, Indonesians and Chinese have landed in Peru, which was a tasked they only barely failed the first time. This is the climax of the war - where it all goes wrong, where one side turns out triumphant. I am not sure why our friends would betray us like this, with how Mother Praömia Andaluşı had done her best to nurture their lands, help them recover... and they backstab her, leaving her with no ally to speak of. First it was the Turks, and now it is China and the Brazilians... But it is fine. God may not be with us, we may not have victorious arms... But there is always the chance for an apology, to stop so many innocents from losing their lives. She is a good woman, like the man who came before her, Martinez - I feel our enemies, although not as good as her, are viewed the same by their own people. Sincerely... I just want this great misunderstanding to end, and for all of these leaders to sit down and talk. I heard my sister had contracted that horrible new virus last week Mycobacterium Ataxia - I hope she makes it through, else I shall be forever shattered...'

Placing down his notepad, which served as a log for all of his thoughts of current affairs, Tokdemir Saban would stand himself up, the land of Panama City disappearing into the dense fog behind their grand fleet of three hundred ships. Aboard the 'Yizel', his assigned ship which he'd command, formerly Carlos Magnolo's, he'd find himself in charge of one of the most expensive parts of the Pramilanderti Royal Navy, and today, now that the entire Pramilanderti Royal Navy had crossed into the Pacific to attack the GDC navies and cut off their already strained supply to Lima. A mighty task, though with the aid of the 'old men', Germain and Carlos, a lot of pressure would be taken off of him. The radio began to crackle in front of him, as he stood in the centre of the bridge, and he tuned it so the frequency would accept the incoming call, which was most likely from Germain and Carlos - it was.

<Carlos Magnolo>: "Good day, you two."
<Germain Auger>: "Good morning, mate."
<Tokdemir Saban>: "Good day to you too, sirs."
<Carlos Magnolo>: "Right... Let us move on to what needs to be done. We can no longer philosiphise and toy with our thoughts, and here is what we shall do now. I have thought this through, and it is the best course of action. The bulk of the fleet, commanded by you, Tokdemir, will be swinging away from the coast, and then go southeast, encasing the GDC navy around Lima. Me and Germain shall advance between you and the coast, and attempt to squeeze them into having to land upon the coasts, where Bila and Serkan's forces will promptly sweep them up, if not the Gizevpol... Who is lead by that woman Nazaret Ruiz, if I'm not mistaken. Childhood friend of Prahomija's, grew up in the same city...

We've one aircraft carrier each, I believe, and I also possess the flagship - our total fleet is about four fifths of the country's naval forces. As long as we are cautious and not reckless, like the Brazilians are, we can remove the GDC. However, remember to yield to this warning, the Indonesian ships are Japanese - just as good as ours, if not better. It is best for the submarine units or our airpower to deal with them, rather than slugging off in above surface naval combat, where casualties on both sides will be heavy. Our manpower is not just a number, this is a living, breathing person, who has put their life in yours hands."

<Germain Auger>: "Agreed... We must remain cautious and alert. Indonesia is the main threat with those ships of theirs, and we must conserve our own if we are to make an assault on the GDC... Which, quite frankly, I'd be happy to do, with the consent of parliament, the Empress and my troops. These traitors need to be taught a thing or two about their own strengths, and the limits of it... And that would be quite a nice way to retire, having shelled the entire Chinese coast... Ah, I'm losing myself, but this plan can definitely work. What do you think, oh great sir Tokdemir?"
<Tokdemir Saban>: "Ahm... It sounds good. I will be making sure to heed this warning about Indonesian ships, though we should be ruthless once they are gone - the Chinese ships lack the range and firepower to put up a fight versus the new guns we have, and once their aircraft carrier is downed, we can hopefully return victorious. This is a serious war though, and they will target our aircraft carriers, our greatest ships... May peace be with you in your hearts, elder men - and please give no mercy to our enemy, for they would not give the same to us."
<Carlos Magnolo>: "To you as well, little Tokdemir. We wont be here soon, but we will give it our all. Thirty years of war... It's good to know that my time here is almost up, and that I've made a difference. I hope you realise soon though, Tokdemir, war is not all glory and reconciliation with enemies, and philosiphising about its results. Just make sure to always give it your all, and remain a conscious person, but not confused by the going ons of conflict. Remember, that you do not only serve your country and Empress, but your friends and family. Keep that in mind, my friend."

And with that, the short conversation had ended, and he was left alone to guide his aircraft carrier into battle. Looking down to the deck, he could already see the flight officers prepping the planes for take off, and from the coasts of Andalus'ita, he could hear a mighty roar and swoosh, as more than fifty airplanes would fly along the coast, ready to hit the Indonesian fleet with their devastating missiles - infact, Tokdemir knew that there were many more hundreds of these planes, ready to strike the GDC navies' defence versus surface threats. And hard. Within half a minute, they'd vanished into the clouds... Not even appearing on their radar, as they tested that ECM of theirs, popping back onto the ship's radar a moment later. Gosh, the Indonesians were going to get it - and hard...

Operation Iyileştirme: Land

Standing at the top of the stairs, which descended down into the great subway, Bila and Serkan were surrounded by the many troops which swarmed down into the subways, ready to load themselves onto the high speed trains, which also carried their smaller vehicles, such as 'Leaping Fox' cars, similar in purpose to the Humvee, providing either medical, command, air defence or anti-tank roles, depending on their armament and variant. Meanwhile, he'd caught word of the 'Prajomi' battlemechs having been sold off or scrapped, due to their limited combat ability and how they were easily just replaced by armoured cars, such as the Leaping Fox. As troops continued to jog past, even down the escalator, Bila would turn to his younger companion and assistant, who bore a silly Fu Manchu moustache - Serkan Metin - who looked back towards him with suspicion.

<Serkan Metin>: "Yes, sir?"
<Bila Chavez>: "Serkan, what do you think of this whole thing? You already know the plan, no? We are to siege Lima, and starve the GDC Coalition Forces and the Resistance into submission, and after a week of starving and shelling them, finish them off with a crushing two million man assault."
<Serkan Metin>: "I feel that this is necessary... But, I must tell you, this may severe any chance we have at ever making amends with the GDC, after giving them such a beating at Lima - and that wont pay us well, politically, in the long run, will it, sir?"
<Bila Chavez>: "No... It won't - but, hopefully, smart words will give the Chinese second thoughts on this. This is not my problem though, Serkan. In three years time, I wont even be living in this country - I'll be moving over to Spain."
<Serkan Metin>: "If you say so, sir... I'll be taking the second lane of the Subway to oversee the battle. Will you be coming with me?"

Serkan would motion towards the escalator, and Bila would nod.

<Bila Chavez>: "Of course. Even though my beard's grey, I've lost most of my hair and probably a few brain cells, I wont fear losing my life with retirement close. Sometimes, you just need to see a situation unfolding so you can apply yourself to it well. I think that is why we failed in the Congo... I made the decision of not being there."

And so, the two would descend down the escalator, with their many thousands of troops, boarding the cramped, though well ventilated train which then sped down towards the city north of Lima, Huacho. The operation, put in to detail, would have 1.9 million men and women beginning an siege, and then an assault upon the city a week later. To put the plan into true detail, four hundred thousand infantry and light vehicles, assisted by aircraft, will be assembling in the city north of Lima, halting a Chinese-Indonesian-Rebel advance, until the overwhelmingly large extra 1.5 million men and women arrive to break their line with artillery, and surgically carve and puncture it in places, to allow for the 'pocketing' of the edges of GDC forces around Lima. This crippling advance would be supported by the guaranteed air superiority and, hopefully, by a victorious Pramilanderti Royal Navy, which would seal off supply and an escape route for the distant GDC forces, whom of which, with denied water supplies to the city of Lima, should succumb to the siege and surrender upon the assault, knowing they would prefer to live, rather than die for a country whom of which they have little connection to - if the Chinese were fighting for their motherland, truthfully, perhaps the situation would be different?

Felipe San Martin, the man whom of which presented the general government during this war, and also working double as the main director of the PRCA, had found himself with the task of stalling IDF involvement into the War of the Enlightened, the Pramilanderti name for the generally dubbed 'Great Amazonian War'. Shifting through countless emails from key supporters of the war, such as the educational system, manufacturing companies and even trading firms, Felipe found that even an email had arrived from Praömia Andaluşı, affirming the need for stopping IDF involvement, through the best diplomatic method - stalling. In the end, Felipe knew he'd have to concede to the IDF demand, though he'd do his best to remain stubborn, before informing Praömia Andaluşı of what may be needed to be done.

We have noticed the United Republic of Europe's rather aggressive and policing, and quite frankly, hypocritical stance upon the Great Amazonian War. I would like to point out that President Louis Hubble's speech months ago was highly critical of what foreign countries are doing, and antagonised any and all whom posed a threat to the United Republic of Europe. However, I can overlook this, and, I look to the rest of the Internal Defence Federation for talks on how this war shall be settled.

Pramilandert has taken much care to keep her citizens safe from the horror of war, unlike our enemies whom simply use them as shields against us in the Amazon. There have been multiple occassions in which our country has asked for peace upon a reasonable level, with the Brazilians and Chinese declining each and every time, forcing us to fight onward. I feel that it is simply impossible for the currently victorious Empire, whom of which has tried to search for a diplomatic solution despite her victories, to pull out of this war on a 'white peace'. Too many men and women have sacrificed themselves for Empress and Empire, fifty thousand have lost their lives because of this horrible encounter, and the country is being bled dry with the cost of this war.

In search of a more sound note to end this war upon, Empress of all under Heaven, Praömia Andaluşı has sanctioned for a meeting to take place between the warring nations and the threatening United Republic of Europe, in the currently neutral Free City of New Granada, whom of which, having scutage, is not in this war as a participant, rather, simply a neutral territory under Pramilandert's domain, quite similar to Hong Kong or Macau in how it functions. Here, I believe we can reach a proper solution for this war. Please attend, if you desire peace, as do we, else you shall be branded as hypocrites, and we shall not hesitate to publicise your refusal to peace talks.

Fennexism

A Fennexi practice, of hydrating plants and various fruits before a gathering, said to attract spectral beings, whom of which would bless their gathering and observe it, guiding their action

Fennexism, a neo-spiritual 'religion', having taken firm stance in Pramilandert, now covering over thirty percent of the total population, most of these being people born in the time of Martinez Fidel where pan-nationalistic desire was crushed during World War Three, has became the official state religion of Pramilandert, however the Free City of Granada, and the newly created District of Bogota and District of Quito remain officially Sunni Islamic or Catholic, respectively.

Fennexism generally revolves around the belief of the world being inhabited by a number of spectral beings, whom of which toy with the world and belong on the same spiritual plane as humanity, drifting the path of the world in the way those said spectral beings see fit. The name, Fennexism, is derived from the animal which generally represents the religion, the fennec fox, whom of which has been fully domesticated in Pramilandert, revered because of their awareness, and their mythical sense of danger. Other revered animals would be anacondas for their legendary ability of avoiding disasters, from folklore, the raven and the fairy-like Pramilanderti moth.

Furthermore, the religion designates one person as the child of the Heavens, where multiple gods reside, though never referred to in proper detail by the religious script 'Klaipeda', written by a group of followers, known as the Hohensza, whom recorded Praömia Andaluşı's actions, speeches, life and practices. The Klaipeda paints Praömia as the child of the Heavens, the Empress of all under Heaven, though such a term only applies to the followers of Fennexism - not all humanity. And, due to religious practices, it is quite common to see people showing up gatherings where the Fennexi would meditate with one another in a 'Great Larva', a practice in which they would try to share their thoughts, frustrations and confess to one another of their guilts. There is no religious law coming from Fennexism, however, peace is generally promoted through the Klaipeda, however violence in any excess may be employed if one's life is threatened, in the case of it being badly affected, not just being ended.

The first 'Great Larva' is to be held today, at the Andaluşıprak, the Empress's residence, and capable of holding several thousand in the courtyard, and more than a hundred thousand in the surrounding area, which was filled with sloping roads, natural rivers and temples, as well as small businesses selling lovely pastries and tea, whom grew rich off of the people who meditated here on this day, for a one hour period, before setting about conversing with one another, sharing thoughts and listening to what speeches Praömia'd prepared, most of which being lines from the now published Klaipeda, which has sold over three million copies in a single week.

The command rooms bright lights made the map glare. General Venance Mabayo, stared at the map trying to locate all the important parts of his plan. "Colonel Kisamba, are all Corps in place?"

"Yes General Mabayo, sir." The chatter on the Wilkie talkies could be heard as the group of commanders sat in silence waiting for the order.

"Tell, Commander Mtwatwe, to begin his assault, for the next 36 hours no one sleeps." The generals staff got to work sprinting around the base to begin operations. Mabayo stared at Kisamba "Are you going to go to your post colonel?" Mabayo questioned.

"Yes, of course, just had to pause." Kisamba replied. He sprinted off to the communications room.

Mabayo spoke into the Intercom "Today we will show Bujumbura what the cost of slaughtering their own people is, today we will make sure our dominance as a regional power is established. This is no joke, this campaign will face some tough parts, but if you do your job to best of your abilities, then the rewards will be great. Get to work." He stared at the map again. "Ohhhh yah, let's get to work."

Daniel had returned back to the de-facto capital of Goiana and was in his mansion. He stormed the castle and saw that most if not all were out of the castle and 100 or so men were still inside, the soldiers easily killed them all with Daniel snagging a few kills as well. But what he saw in his room had made him feel anger and complete sadness at once, Maria's dead body with her blood on the wall saying "Brazil will fall". Daniel was extremely pissed and when he found another guard hiding he punches him, twists his neck and shoots his head off, the explosion blood stained everything in the vicinity.

He was now severely depressed, Maria was pregnant with their 6 month old and for them to ruthlessly kill her, he didn't know what to do anymore. If being the hated monarch he was put his family, his Maria into so much danger he decided to step down. As he was thinking about it, he heard his doorbell ring and saw, it was his cousin brother who was at the door. He opened his door, his brother came in..

Commander Fernandez was leading the 5th division in the Amazon army, the army which consisted 700,000 troops. They had just received orders to begin an advance, the most dangerous one in history (maybe) to cross the Amazon river and defeat Pramilanderti troops and capture Prahomija, a prize that would be claimed by the Union. He had begun his advance but not towards the main parts of the river but rather to the shortest parts which were only 1.6km wide, these would let the army cross easily and in minimal time, they would also be equipped with the Pramilanderti weapons that were given to us during a big arms purchase from them, these soldiers were on the mission of their lives and they needed to be prepared for it...

Meanwhile at Command HQ

Damian was drinking a cup of steaming hot coffee when he had found out that the Chinese had successfully landed in Lima and the naval force had liberated Lima with the help of revolters, but bad news came quick and he saw that they had cut off water supplies to Lima and an army of 2 million was approaching. He knew what had to be done and began assembling 2 million troops who were to enter through the Amazonian border of Peru destroying all Pramilanderti infrastructure and getting supplies, they also sent a message to the Chinese and Independence fighters to leave Lima and wait on the outskirts where a 2 million man force with heaps of revolutionaries travelling with them they hope to raid warehouses, farms of the enemy and all government buildings were to be burnt regardless if anyone was inside or not. A savage rampage had begun and there was no stopping the Union.

Damian also asked to the army to ration supplies as well, to conserve them so that they would not have a shortage and suffer of hunger. He had also asked a few scientists to begin researching supercrops and hopes they come through with a new breakthrough which would help further with supplies and possible famine. Damian knew he would be out of his job if he had lost this war, so he had hoped it would or atleast could go into a stalemate. He had also sent a message to Rafael something about the IDF....

Several situation's had arisen and needed the parties attention, one of the most severe of the issues was the war in the Amazon and Russia's alliance with China. The war had been a bloody ad costly endeavor so far and China had been paying for Brazil's mismanagement of their resources. With the Amazon being fire bombed it had several effects on weather and the local environment. Several towns and villages had been displaced, the one problem that Russia saw was fighting a war over a continent away. Logistically it was a nightmare, but with the entire GDC taking an active role in the war then perhaps there was a chance. Inside of the Chancellery building, generals and admirals had gathered to discuss the plans for the possible war.

Chancellor Reltih sat at the head of the polished wooden table with the symbol of the party carved into the center of it. All of the generals and admirals had gathered and sat, waiting for Chancellor Reltih to speak.

Chancellor Reltih> Gentlemen we have several situations to discuss, the first is our possible involvement in the Amazonian war. Our allies have committed their forces and have had some success but as i understand Brazil has put the outcome of the war in question. What I want to know from you is can we win if we commit our forces to this war.

Marshal Putilin> Chancellor Reltih the war has gone against the GDP and Brazil has squandered every advantage that they had. It is in my opinion That if we did commit forces we would win, but at great cost.

He sits at his desk, the news had just hit him. The landing on Lima had been successful, but couldn't be held for long. His army was about to feel the entire wrath of the Pramilandertian force. The success in this war, was very short lived and he knew with about of a third of the army depleted, the support from the council would not stay. Chancellor Chow had been pushing his anti-war agenda heavily in these past couple of months. He must continue this war, for the glory of Zhongjiang and her people.

The wave of anxiety had hit Feng, he knew that keeping majority vote would be an uphill battle. In all his life he seemed to fight, was it time to put arms down now, make peace, no... no he will never back down from a fight! General Feng knew the Chancellor was getting weak. If the Chancellor keeps pushing his anti-war agenda that could mean total humiliation for Feng. Feng would not allow such an... unqualified man to strip this war from him. He had seen Shang on the battlefield. On the actual battlefield Chow was a good soldier. He had fought well and had proved himself in combat. It seemed these past few years, however, that Shang had grown weak and used to a pompous lifestyle. It was no secret that the Chancellor slept in the finest beds, had chefs prepare the finest food, drank the cleanest water, and lived a life of luxury. The council had set it so the Chancellor remained in power until either he was voted out, he resigned, or he died. Then a new Chancellor would be elected and the process would repeat itself.

A knock on his door startled him and tore him away from his deep thoughts. "Come in" He said. A man opened the door, it was Shang Chow. What a coincidence. Chow stepped in and sat while Feng pretended to be reading some documents on his desk. "Can we talk?" Chow sternly asked. "Is their something to talk about?" Feng replied.

"This war, I got the news today as well" Chow said while trying to catch Feng's eye.

"I don't see anything to talk about. If anything Pram has weakened themselves. With their entire navy, army, and a majority of their air force in Lima I am free to reap the benefits of what is to come. I could send squadrons of men to go rape their coastal cities." Feng replied causally.

"Feng! This language you use and your ideas of killing innocents? Is that what you want, to kill and slaughter the lives of innocent people?" Chow exclaimed in disbelief.

Feng looked up from the document causally, then took off his glasses. He sighed and then said "Civilians will only die if they get in my way, that will be their last mistake"

"I demand you stop this war Feng! You have lost control and I cannot permit such an... a... a vicious warlord to reign anymore. You will stop this war at once!"

"Or else?"

"Or else I will have you removed as General of Zhongjiang!" Chow stated and the room fell silent for a minute.

"So be it" Hao said and then smiled.

"Do it, or your position will be executed!" Chow then stood up and left.

After this the General took a long sigh and leaned back in his chair. Something needed to happen to the Chancellor, Feng could not be executed and he sure as hell was not stopping any war effort. Something had to happen, and fast.

A call from the war room was the next conversation Feng had. Feng answered the phone with a "Hello, this is General Hao Feng."

<War Room> Yes, I am calling to inform you that if we loose Lima we have lost almost a third of our army. Plus the naval aspect.
<Feng> I was briefed on this earlier today, I understand.
<War Room> What should our next course of action be sir?
<Feng> I want you to immediately advise our homeland office to release 'Join the Army' propaganda. I feel that we need to replenish our forces.
*The officer can be heard yelling commands*
<War Room> It is being done immediately, sir.
<Feng> Next, start training the reserves. I want every man that dies to be replenished. The new recruits will also be trained. I do not want to have to run out of troops.
<War Room> Okay, how do you plan to deal with the naval damage that will be done?
<Feng> Our navy was outdated anyways, an upgrade in necessary. I will put in an order to the factories to begin production of our new navy.
<War Room> Yes sir, what about strategy?
<Feng> I will be there in a minute.

"Alright I trust the LT. General that is currently in Lima to make the orders to do what is right. I trust him, now our next move. As most, if not all of their army is occupied in Lima as well as their navy I want to send teams of men, about 25,000 or so up and down to major cities. They will sack the cities and destroy major factories within the city. I want this to be done quickly and cleanly. Minimal casualties and if any civilians get in their way, spray them down. We cannot afford to loose this war. Once they have major port cities sacked they will be damaged internally. I want these troops in and out. Once they are done destroying anything of importance get them out of their and send them back here. Any questions?"

"General Feng, what cities?"

"I want you to find the top 25 cities that have factories or good ports, try to keep it out of Peru. These 25 locations will be our landing zone. Now for bigger cities I want at least 25,000 troops armed and ready to deal with any opposition. For smaller cities and towns we can lower the amount of troops if needed. I want this done ASAP. We have this window while all of the Troops are in Lima."

LT. General Kim Tac sat conflicted. These days will most likely be his last and he knows he must stand strong. This battle will be the one chance he gets to show Zhongjiang that this was not a lost cause. This would be the final battle in Lima and Kim had to make it meaningful. The armies of Pram would not get this city back with out a fight, and if they did get it, it would not have any use. One of the temporary leaders had to be informed, as they would help with the front. This war wasn't over yet and it would be a long and bloody battle if Kim Tac had anything to do about it.

Hello, this message has hopefully been delivered at the fastest rate. I would have personally informed you of the situation but time is of the essence. It seems our situation in Lima has become, well, lost. We have received both word and satellite imagery that the entire navy of Pram is heading for this. I have come to a conclusion that a large military presence will be heading here as well. I will stay and fight, as I am no coward. You must know that Zhongjiang wants to see you be successful and gain independence but in times like these, I must say, fighting for independence is hard.

I have devised a plan to give us at least a chance to win. It does require some destruction but I really believe it is the only chance we have to winning the war. First our combined army's will destroy roads and bridges leading into the city. I also want to block these destroyed roads and cities with empty vehicles, trees, and sandbags. This will give us more time to hold off an attack as well as make it difficult for heavy machinery to get through. From their I want to rig explosives in the subways leading to Lima. Unless we are certain that they will be coming through their I want to place bombs in the tunnels and explode them, this way if anything comes through the tunnels they will crash and likely die. If you have any information concerning them coming through the tunnels then we will set the explosives to blow when the subway car triggers them, this way we inflict as many casualties as possible.

After this we can only hope for the best. I would like you and your men to begin guerrilla warfare style tactics on any armies trying to come into the city. I believe your men will have the best of luck with this because of your knowledge of the land. I would also like to gift 50K of my own troops to help you. These men will be lead by your forces, lead them well and try to focus on taking out groups by themselves. With the rest of my men we will bunker down in buildings and form a front on the edge of the city. My men will also be patrolling the city for a potential break in defense and will be ready to fill it in at any moment.

The naval battle outside of Lima will be a bit trickier, but, I think we can do some damage. I will station my smaller and faster ships in clear site so when his navy comes they can lead them on a chase. Our bigger ships will be hidden behind Isla San Lorenzo and in the Rio Chillion river. Once the smaller ships have lead their fleet between these points. I cannot promise it will win but I can promise it will do more damage then fighting them head on.

As the General enters his office from the war room and immediately notices the man sitting in his office. "Can I help you sir?" Feng asked. The man was young and well built, his hair was cut short and he wore a well fitted suit. The man stood up and shook Feng's hand. Yes you can sir, I have a proposal for you that something rather confidential." The man says in his voice that seems to lack emotion.

"What is it?" Feng asked in a strange tone.

The man slid a vanilla envelope over the desk. Hao flipped through the contents and it was an assortment of news paper articles showing the Chancellor and Hao's disliking. "I see that you and the Chancellor dislike each other." the man was still looking very serious and stared directly into the soul of Hao.

"Oh do you, what does my relations with Mr.Chow have to do with this... uh meeting" Feng lifted his eyebrow in suspicion.

"Ah, well you see sir. My organization, whom will remain un-named," The man leans in and whispers "Get rid of Chow."

The General's eyes shot up and he pulled the .45 revolver he kept on the bottom of his desk and pointed it straight at the man's head. In and angry whisper Feng spat "That fucker set you up to get me, does he really want to get me out that bad. Boy, you tell me right now who fucking sent you or I will see if I can find the answer in the brains that leak out of your head!"

The man looked unfazed and replied "General, Shang Chow is my organizations enemy and he is clearly your enemy as well, I believe we can work something out. It would benefit the both of us if Mr.Chow... was removed from office. I can have that arranged and cleanly. In return you stay general and get to blame the assassination on Pramilandert."

General Feng pulled the hammer back and shook it "I will do it, you tell me right now, who are you working for?"

"I am working for myself, General I emptied the bullets in that gun and replaced them with duds, shoot me and nothing will happen."

Feng slowly sighs and puts the gun on the desk and says "Well, what do you want in return?"

"We want you to continue the war in South America, as well as build the military up. As you know once the Chancellor leaves the council is put into charge until the new Chancellor is elected. In this time you should build the military."

"That's it?"

"It is all that we request."

General Feng thought then raised the gun once more and spat out "Get the hell out of my office!"

The man, still calm, looked plainly at the General and then slipped a card over to him. "I see you are conflicted, I will leave this here. When you are ready to serve the country you can contact me. Until then, goodbye General." The man begins to walk out and stops halfway. "Talk about this meet to anyone and you will be slaughtered in the most grotesque possible way. Good day general."

LT. General Kim Tac stands on a makeshift podium in front of a crowd of both Zhongjiang troops, and Peruvian Separatists. He has decided to give a speech, as it could be the last meaningful thing these men hear. As the Peruvian separatists have provided him a mic he steps forward.

"Men and women, I would like to personally thank you both. You have fought an outstanding battle thus far and I hope we continue this route of success. Sadly, I believe that the road from here is only an uphill battle. I gave out plans earlier to blow the subway tunnels, bridges, roads, and to blockade all routes into the city. I will warn you, the next battle that everyone is going to fight may be your last. We have received information that Pramilandertian's entire naval force is heading this way. We also have word that a majority of his army are on their ways as well. Will our numbers alone we cannot fight this battle, we have to use strategy. I want to inform you that this battle may be lost, but we will not fall easily! These next couple of days will show the world that we fight for a glorious cause! TO THE REBELS OF PERU THAT STAND BEFORE ME, THESE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS WILL TEST YOUR TRUE DESIRE FOR FREEDOM! The battle for freedom we fight is just, and very hard! Varšava, Northern Slavic Empire - January 8th 2053, 13:45

It was a cold day outside, that eighth day of January 2053, but inside the offices, rooms, and corridors of the Imperial Palace in Warsaw, it was rather warm. Warm enough, at least, that none would have found themselves freezing inside that building. And today more than any other day it was very important that all people inside could work effectively. And that was because the Emperor had gathered all of the military experts and all the Military's main officers today, in order to talk about one thing, and one thing only: Georgia.

The country of Georgia was rather poor in natural resources, but it gave direct access to Azerbaijan, and that meant a lot to the Empire which yes, had a lot of oil and natural gas below its soil, but needed always more and more to feed its ever-growing industry. And it's true, that the country was enacting reforms and formulating laws that would have brought dependency on oil to minimum levels within five years, but... well, it was five years. And other countries were not doing the same at all, that meant that having access to Azerbaijani oil, would have given the Northern Slavic Empire an incredible leverage in all negotiations.

Still, Georgia was not worth Slavic blood, or at least not as much as Azerbaijan was, and so the point of the talk today was not how to invade and conquer Georgia, but rather what group to support in a coup d'état, and how to, while drafting an invasion plan as plan B.
Georgia was a heavily corrupt country, where almost no politician followed what their electors wanted and rather focused on their own personal interests instead. Thus, finding and then funding and providing help to a group which would have been using this as their main assets for political action had not been difficult at all. It was decided that starting immediately, this group would have received substantial loans of around 20 million SK's (around 40 million $) each semester, and that arms-smuggling would have been on the table as an option with which to arm the group. After all, the Northern Slavic Empire used, since its very foundation as a Union in 2018, to sell small arms, MANPAD's and infantry weapons in general throughout all the world, so a direct link to the Empire, unless these weapons had not been manufactured too recently, would have been highly difficult to find.

Next issue on the table was Armenia, a small country with an ancient and rich history, with a proud people, and with politics being just as corrupt as most of the region. Armenia was another very important target of expansion in the Caucasus, because it was, as said before, a small country which would have been incapable, even less than Georgia or Azerbaijan, to resist a Persian attack, a thing which seemed very likely to become reality in the near future.

Here, the policy was different: there was the need for an immediate coup d'état. It was decided that arms smugglers would have been contacted by the Ministry of Defence, and would have smuggled weapons through Turkey to Armenia, to arm various paramilitary groups and to supply sectors of the Armed Forces which would have been in favour of the coup with modern weaponry. Just as for Georgia, protection by the NSE would have been promised to the group as a consequence of the Coup resulting in success for the revolutionaries; protection meant an alliance, trade agreements, substantial loans to help the country develop, and building-up of the Armed Forces as well.

Hope among the leadership was high, and it had to, or else the coups would have been failures from the very beginning.

Once the meeting had finished, Michal took his time to work out a letter to Chancellor Reltih. He had spoken about this with the leadership, and he had found them divided in two, different factions: one was advocating for a militarization of the border and a show of strength towards Russia, a country which, despite being Slavic just as the NSE, was openly hostile towards the Empire itself, and whose leadership had adopted a highly hostile rhetoric while speaking about the Empire; the other faction was instead willing to seek for reconciliation with the Russians, who, after all, were Slavs just as the Empire's population was. The final person to speak was Army General Myroslava Ponomarčenkova, one of the country's main generals. Her opinion, which was one in favour of reconciliation with Russia, was the one that definitely made Michal's mind.

When he wrote the letter, she was there as well, together with Michal's daughter and wife, reading what he was writing and helping him find the best words.

For years now, the Northern Slavic Empire and Russia have hold grudges against each other, and that is understandable. It all started in the mid-2020's, because of the then-government's unwillingness to cooperate on the issue of Ukraine. That kickstarted a series of events that culminated with the then-government of Russia allying with Fenezuela and China instead that entering the IDF as we had proposed. This resulted in our two countries going to war against each other during the Third World War, also known as the Second Unification War in the Northern Slavic Empire.

Now, we want to bury the war axe and live, once again, as we used to before all of this happened: in peace, loving each other, as brothers that were unwillingly split by the events of Time, and that now want to live together once again. This, in our mind, comes through the accession of the Russian state in the OCSSP, the alliance whose main role is protecting the Slavic People's and its interests. Furthermore, we offer numerous trade agreements, amongst them one regarding industrial equipment being sold by our businesses to yours, and one regarding oil and natural gas being sold to our country for a price lower than the one for other countries, and so on.

As the war in the Amazon deepens, the threat of the wars endangering US citizens seemed ever more dangerous, with the most recent bill stating that any form of civilian transportation into the Southern Continent was to be prohibited and for a blockade of goods traveling to Pramilandert. With tensions high between whether or not the US should involve themselves in this war, many remain skeptical as to what they are aloud to preform. While they are on the subject of Pramilandert, many of the strategists noted the fact that Pramilandert has control of Panama City, and along with it, the Panama Canal.
<Johnson> "If we don't make the Panama canal global again, the canal itself would be worthless." Johnson slams his fist against the table
<Simmons> "But what claims do we have? Mexico is the one that holds Panama territory. They, if anyone, have claims on the city."
<Gibs> "With Mexico on the subject, they also have control on the Nicaragua canal, the bigger of the two."
<Johnson> "It's not like we can ask them to rejoin the states, they wouldn't even think twice on a question like that"

<Eric> "What about Brazil? As you said, Pramilandert stated that the IDF has no business in this, then they go and say that the Brazilians are using their people as meat-shields. Did you see them using their own people as a means of defense?"
<Michael> "We did not as a matter of fact, but that didn't stop Pramilandert bombings on major cities in Brazil, it would seem to me that Pramilandert is targeting the civilians instead of the actual troops"

As the next day went by, many things happened within the Senate building. With the approval of the exo-suit initiative and the star wars initiative, construction on both have slowly begun within the secure base in Nevada. Many believing that these projects could help us have a better understandings within the stars. NASA and SpaceX were given the task of preparing for the Star Wars Initiative. After this discussion, the president takes the floor, and begins to address the senate personally.
<Charles> "We believe we stand here prepared for any force, yet we do nothing against the threat in the south. It is time to take a stand against this power hungry state and re-enforce peace in the south."
The entire senate body murmurs among themselves, many debating at great deal. As the bickering lasted for some time, it slowly died down, as the last conversation died, one senator spoke from the rest.
<Adrien> "We believe that war with Pramilandert at this time is not of top priority or best suits our interests. However, this Tyrannical empire must be dealt with as you stated. We will allow for volunteers to decide whether or not they will fight against them."
Charles stands there un-phased, expecting the senate to deny war.
<Charles> "If war is not an option, shall we at least begin pre-mobilization, for the URE has stated that they will not tolerate the elongation of this war, and will go to war calling the rest of the IDF to arms."
More murmurs go about, but are hushed immediately
<Thomas> "We will allow Pre-Mobilization, however we ourselves will not begin the war"
Charles nods his head to the Senators.
<Alex> "Speaking of the IDF, we believe that it is now time to sever ties with the IDF and begin a new alliance with the Brazilians."
<Adrien> "Are you mad, leaving the IDF is outright crazy"
<Alex> "You sure? Ever war we have been in has done nothing for us except lose people. We have gained nothing of these wars with the IDF. The Brazilian Union has already asked for a Omni-American Economic Co-operative, this could expand our sphere of influence to south America once more."
<Charles> "Leaving the IDF is a rather harsh decision, but you are not mistaken, we have gained nothing from any war with the IDF, the topic will be discussed at the next senate meeting. As for a economic alliance with Brazil, you are right, especially since they will need to rebuild. Any opposition to this economic alliance?"

<Charles> "Then this meeting is adjourn"
Charles stands up from his podium and exits the senate room as the other senators leave the room as well. As Charles returns to the Oval Office, he notices a single document from the house of Reps, discussing a matter of agriculture. Charles signs off of it. Sending it to the Judicial Branch for further approval. As he sits in his office, he begins to write a letter, and gives it to his VP to give to the foreign affairs office to deliver.

The Base went on high alert, multiple people scattered across the air field, getting everything set. In the sky a fighter was coming in for a landing

The jet lands with a screech as it practically flies across the airstrip, but slowly comes to a stop, almost immediately when the tail hook came out and latched onto a cable. As the jet became immobile, the pilot stepped out and saluted the general that was coming onto the airstrip. The general salutes back, but gives him a long hard stare.

the general salutes back, and sends him off to a debrief. Nearby a proto-type suit came out of the hanger. Another pilot came by and begin to strap into the machine. For basic movements, the solider began to do push ups

the suit was said to increase physical capability by 30%, however with the early iterations, It seems highly unlikely.
Then in another hanger, scientists, mathematicians, and military personal discus ways on how to get the Star Wars Initiative into orbit. Many of the Scientists suggest doing a similar method to the building of the ISS. But mathematicians and many of the military personal, and some of the scientists, believe they could build all the parts here and send them off one by one into orbit, consecutively to ensure the orbital dockyard would be complete without any prying eyes. With this, the military personal and mathematicians begin to draw out and design new rockets that can hold the pieces and crew to maximize efficiency with the Project.

<Arya Patil> In the short term? Well, upon joining, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will immediately grow by several seats to accommodate the elected representatives of the new state. Sri Lanka will get the honor of partaking in the 2053 federal election.

<Maithripala Sirisena> Ah, so we aren't being treated like Kolkata's conquered territory in the East I see?

The smile and good natured manner of Arya Patil immediately dimmed, he hoped the new states in Myanmar wouldn't be mentioned in this meeting

<Arya Patil> The states in the East aren't participating in the election due to them being internally unstable, they will be allowed to vote in the 2058 federal election and all are scheduled to hold state elections within the next 2 years

<Dawkins> "Let's hope so, I'll try to apply rising seas as leverage to push the vote over 50%. Have you seen the opinion polls in 'The Global Tribune?' Estimated to be hovering around 50% approval for integration."

<Kuitert> "Wonderful, and what if the vote goes sour?"

Dawkins sees the car pull up in front of the Binnenhof.
<Dawkins> "We're here, let's go."

They step into Binnenhof and into the central room, the room is lit by white light with no windows in a circular form, all around one large circular table. The President and Ministers of the Netherlands sit at the table awaiting the four diplomats. Emiel Kromhof, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, stands up and shakes the hand of Francis Dawkins.

<Kromhof> "You've arrived, we've been waiting for you. Take a seat."

The various diplomats take their seats across from the Dutch, Dawkins pulls out a briefcase and takes out files, placing them on the table in front of him.

<Dawkins> "I wanted to call this conference to discuss the topic of possible Dutch integration into the United Republic of Europe."

<Verhagen> "Has this action been taken with a gun to our heads?"

<Hubble> "No, Minister Verhagen. The aggressive expansionist policy of the former cabinet has been phased out for a peaceful policy. We do not push this act with threat of war, and we will respect your sovereignty should you wish to maintain it. If this should fail, however, we would like to form some sort of European Alliance with the Dutch people to ensure close relations."

<Kromhof> "Well, let us get to the points you have to make. Why should the Netherlands join the United Republic?"

<Dawkins> "There are many reasons why the Netherlands should become a member state. First and foremost: Rising waters. We've all seen the images and videos, Amsterdam is struggling to keep your nation above water, and you're under risk of facing a flood that you can't maintain. A bit too much rain or a crack in a dike is all that would be required to plunge the Dutch underwater. As a member nation of the United Republic, you would get mass-support in building stronger flood control which would secure the survival of the Dutch people. Along with the floods, there are other clearer benefits to joining the union..."
He opens the file in front of him and slides several graphs and figures over towards the Dutch diplomats.
<Dawkins> "Every member state has seen significant economic growth upon joining into the unified European state. Every member nation, most notably the weaker ones, have massively benefited due to being defended by the United Republic. Each state has seen a large increase in quality of life, education, healthcare, along with an influx of white and gold collar jobs."

Kromhof, who had been staring at the charts for the past minute, looks up.
<Kromhof> "These are very interesting. How would Dutch elections work?"

<Kuitert> "They would be handled in a similar way to all other European elections. Instant run-off voting only done by the Netherlands, for the Dutch Parliament and President, with other votes for the European Parliament and President."

<Verhagen> "If I may interject, Prime Minister Kromhof, will the current government stay in place?"

<Kuitert> "It will until remain the next Dutch election in 2057."

The conference continues for several more hours, and afterwards the European diplomats set off for Berlin and Paris.

September 9, 2052 - Berlin, Germany

Minister Dawkins falls into his chair in Berlin. He looks towards the window, the sun slowly rising above the Berlin skyline. The city is, for the most part, asleep at this hour. He opens his laptop and blankly stares, the television on in the background. He had been trying to increase relations with the Japanese, and he planned to use this Ultranationalist uprising to their advantage.

Thousands of United Republic soldiers deploy in North England. The cities of Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield have been completely isolated. Soldiers stand on the roadways leading out of the cities, turning people around and not letting anyone leave the city. All air traffic above the cities have been halted, and soldiers begin to close in to known Ultranationalist holdouts within the cities. Military presence has been pushed up, with urban armored vehicles and airpower being demonstrated in the battles.

In Sheffield, due to the number and location of Ultranationalists being more well-known, has a more coordinated attack guided by heavy airpower. Bombs can be heard across the cities, along with the sound of gunfire throughout the night.

September 11, 2052 - Paris, France

The President of the United Republic, Louis Hubble, stands in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower. The air feels eerie to him, it was the same area where Zachary Axalis had been murdered by the British Ultranationalist Sylas Reed. He suppresses the feeling, but he remains paranoid and constantly scans the crowd for suspicious looking people.

<Hubble> "Hello, citizens of the United Republic. First off I would like to congratulate Angola on their newly-formed democratic government after a hard-fought war against Ultranationalists. Their nation has many challenges to face, challenges which will take years and perhaps a little blood, but I am positive that Angola is only pointed towards success in their new age. May the Republic of Angola prosper as a bastion of freedom, resisting the wave of tyranny!

On the topic of democracy, however, there is an event going on which has the potential to change the political landscape of Asia forever: The election of the Confederacy of the Raj. The even-minded Cheeno Dhebar of the Raj Workers Party is the right man for the job as Prime Minister of the Confederacy. He is a man who supports peace and thinks in the long-term, unlike Anu Thacker who only supports war, bloodshed, and the destruction of the Confederacy for years to come. Buckingham Palace will become his home once again, and he will be reinstated as King of England, similar to the King of Belgium and King of Spain, the he would retain monarchical status for the Dominion he presides over. September 12, 2052 - Cayenne, European Guyana

A large rocket stands on the launch pad in Geneva. Unlike the launches which have been happening for several years now, this one carries passengers. Nine, to be exact, headed for the Planet Mars. The new colony, which would be named Prometheus IV, would land near the Xanthe Terra. Richard Tyson reclines in his chair at the launch station, watching the fruits of the efforts of him and thousands of other ESA employees. The door opens and Louis Hubble steps in, taking a seat next to Tyson.

<Tyson> "Didn't expect to see you here, President."

<Hubble> "Never been one to miss a day of progress for our nation."

<Tyson> "Fair enough. How was your ride down to European Guyan- Nevermind, it's starting."

Hubble leans forward in anticipation.

<Announcer> "10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... IGNITION!"

The rocket flies into the atmosphere, slowly curving sideways, followed by massive plumes. Tyson and Hubble watch as it disappears from sight. After the launch, Hubble is toured around the launch site in European Guyana for the rest of the day, before taking leave back to Europe.

The official head of the IDF, Werner Planck, stands in his office in Brussels. He hears a notification on his email, and looks to see an email from Pramilandert.

Sri Lanka votes to Join

The Sri Lankan people held a referendum earlier this week on weather to join the Raj Confederacy or remain an independent nation. With a large voter turnout, nearly 62% had voted to join their larger neighbor. It is believed that steps are already being taken to annex Sri Lanka, and it is expected to be completely annexed by the end of the month.

Battle of Lima

The Battle of Lima is sure to go down as one of the most brutal and bloody battles in history. Pramilanderti soldiers approached the city and launched a mass offense in the dead of night. The nearly two million strong Pramilandert army met the similarly sized coalition army of Zhong and Peruvians defending the city. The Pramilanderti military advanced slowly, facing a ruthless defense. Peruvian rebels flooded streets and subway tunnels were collapsed. The Peruvians would slowly pick off the advancing forces through gurillea tactics within the downtown of Lima, a particularly bloody battleground. Lima had, after a long period of fighting, fallen back to the Empire of Pramilandert as a pile of rubble and destroyed buildings. A disastrous battle resulting in the death of over anywhere from 2.5 to 3 million casualties, causing economic turmoil within Pramilandert. Both the Pramilandert and Chinese military have suffered a large blow, and the dreams of a stable Peruvian nation seem more distant than ever. Millions of refugees flee from Lima and look towards the Pramilandert government on relocation.

The polls were closed and the votes have been tallied over the past day, with results being released very early this morning. The Raj Conservative Party had claimed victory by a small margin over the Raj Workers Party, who had nonetheless gained the majority of the seats in the Parliament. This election was a heated one at best, with a clear split being a Conservative North and a Socialist South.

Fall of Ashgabat

This morning, the Persian military had successfully stormed Ashgabat, which fell after a large assault on the city, supported by airpower. MAJOR KETOV

The harsh environment which Gulag 21 was located was not only harsh on the people who was unlucky enough to be sent there, but also for the soldiers sent to supervise them. But being suceleded allowed the camps commandant to execute his experiments on the camps population far from the view of the public eye.

Train tracks had been built along with a small train station inside of the camp to allow transportation of prisoners straight to the camp itself. He was deeply annoyed and irritated that he had to accept peace, but it was what he had to do to safeguard the Union and so it would live to see another day and could prosper and grow into the power it was supposed to be. He continued at his computer pounding away messages and letters that had to be sent and initiated after the war.

The first project to be initiated was the mass privatization and the shock therapy economic plan that the Union had to go through to prevent an economic failure and meltdown, his brother messed this country to an extreme level and he had to change it from bottom-to-top. Firstly he saw that the Chinese were to begin investing in him, which made Rafael extremely happy as this meant the large and rich Chinese billionaires were to invest and create new growth and possibilities for the Union, the investment from China was to total around 25B$ and Rafael asked the Chinese if they would be allowed to tap into the GDC development bank to redevelop the Union and make into a more trusted and powerful ally.

Next, after background talks with top military aides and US officials the first purchase of US vehicles and ships were to be made and it was to cost the Union military 35.7B$ as they were buying 20,000 LAV-25 vehicles to increase their combat readiness and allow quicker mobility, the Military was also buying 1 Aircraft SuperCarrier from the USA to increase and improve their naval capabilities.

Finally, the top military scientists had sent him a message about the new military projects that they were to begin researching and developing... these were -

Also, upon the Brazilian offensive being repelled on the Brazilian front, Turkmen Olgun, the leader of the Army of the Royal Banner (Khaany Tugiin Tsergiin), has began entrenching himself further, solidifying his hold on the Amazon River, save for the estuary, of which he was not able to cross. With infrastructure throughout the Pramilanderti occupied Amazon being repaired after a few months, a replenishment of troops and supplies are enroute once more, three hundred thousand standard infantry backed up by about two thousand armoured elements approaching, to solidify control of the area to stop Brazil making a successful offensive.

Idly kicking aside some of the rubble, it had been just a few hours since the week-long battle of Lima, nicknamed the Inferno of Peru, with how many people died and the mass shattering of the Peruvian independence movement, Serkan Metin was in downtown Lima, hearing resonding cheers from the victorious Pramilanderti Armed Forces, celebrating their grand victory over Chinese, Indonesian and Peruvian forces. Them being northerners, all of these people were foreigners to them, and thus it did not feel like a killing of their own, though some did feel remorse - as did Serkan Metin. Yet, it was over now, and the deed had been done, and if they lost, what would have became of his home? He did not exactly love the idea of being under a foreign rule... As did the Peruvians? He was tangled with questions nonetheless, all around him being fallen Peruvian patriots, along with the odd few GDC troops, easy to pick out from others.

Looking around him, no building stood unravaged, no road layed unpunctured, no subway ran uninterrupted. Fires ran rampantly, especially upon the roofs of buildings yet to fall. Did... the soldiers of Pramilandert have orders to just completely decimate the city entirely? Nevermind that, Lima was already gone, this was just... a wasteland, a place where people used to live. Eight million people displaced now, waiting to be resettled elsewhere. Bodies just left to rot here, save for the valued heroes of Pramilandert who'd been taken back to their homeland to be buried and praised for their efforts at serving the Empress, blindly.

The Inferno. 'Twas over. And, from its ashes, rises the great dragoness of Pramilandert.

The Next Chapter

A new age had emerged for Pramilandert, whom of which was now united on a national scale, under the impressive ruler who had lead it to war, and brought it back out in one piece, and having benefited. Said ruler, was waking up now, a devious grin on her face as she would get herself ready for the day - a day of defeat for Brazil. Sitting herself up, she'd see that her laptop, of which she left on overnight, was flooded with mail once more, most of which being records for the Inferno of Peru, detailing the crushing defeat of which many hundreds of thousands were slain or captured by the elite Pramilanderti troops. Though, she knew which one she would enjoy reading most at first sight - the surrender of Brazil.

It was what she wanted, mostly, though she could perhaps pry more off of Brazil at a later date - total conquest of Brazil was a false concept at the moment, however after this, it could very well be possible. She'd own the Amazon River, more than half of the Amazonas, and Peru as a national idea would be properly erased, with the GDC leaving it to rot. Excellent! Getting herself properly dressed first though, and makong herself some spiced tea, she would then respond. 8:35AM, the sixteenth of December 2053, the War of Enlightenment would end, Pramilandert seizing all of its Amazonian occupied territory and becoming the indisputable power of South America. Forever the land shall live on!

The sixteenth of December has became a public holiday for Pramilandert, known as Enlightened Day. All are free to not work, and great events are to be hosted by town and city officials, to celebrate the day Pramilandert triumphed and defended its identity and independence

Yet, still, there was issues still to be considered. The population of Pramilandert, compared to her worldwide rivals, was the lowest by far, the motherland only having won the war due to its cunning, discipline and ruthlessness, and there was also the problem of resettling eight million Peruvians, and educating them in the true way of the nation, to unite herself once and for all. Pramilandert would also have to begin getting to work on rebuilding settlements in the Amazonas and Peru - especially now that the land was no longer in utter chaos and at the threat of splitting apart at any moment. A plan, known as the Reconciliation Plan was published on the 10th of December detailing on what would be done.

The Reconciliation Plan

The Reconciliation Plan focuses upon the resettlement of 'Peruvians' in to Prahomitopraklary and Karacasi, the repairing of damages done to the south, a budget reform strengthening public education and helthcare, and the selling off of several sectors of the economy belonging to the state owned companies Almieyar, Al'andiz Almjme, Rihla, Yizel's and Huiligarca, whilst also relaxing the Tranquility Law. Further incentives are to be planted in the economy as well, especially in the area of Prahomitopraklary and former Lima, now known as Maxitopraklary, in honour of the fallen Emperor.

•With the war being won, volunteers in the army are to be returned to their homes - however, if they wish to stay as a permanent, paid soldier, after meeting the standard criteria they may. This is expected to reduce the army to a size of 2.1 million, taking into account the 500,000 or so casualties Pramilandert suffered, the official figure still being calculated.
•A budget equivalent to $800BN US dollars is to be issued out to pay for the resettlement of the 'Limanese' people to Prahomitopraklary and Karacasi, rebuilding of damaged infrastructure, repairing of wartorn cities and establishing a proper irrigation network stemming from the Amazon into the Orinoco Basin, as to further bolster the agricultural prowess of Pramilandert.
•Almieyar, Al'andiz Almjme, Rihla, Yizel's and Huilgarca are to sell off 20% of their owned business to private, Pramilanderti enterprisers to promote a more free economy, however remaining about a quarter in state control, to allow for flexible production schemes.
•The Tranquility Law now allows for the listening to foreign radio and viewing of any website not on a blacklist. Key social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook remain blocked however, in favour of Pramilandert's own social networking site, YZ.
•The eight million Peruvians who have been designed to be resettled will be moved to Prahomitopraklary and Karacasi over the next four months, using the G.A.S.. Each adult Peruvian will receive a pay from the government accounting for two thirds of their lost working hours, and they shall be educated in speaking proper Karanese (the chosen name for the Pramilanderti adoption of the Turkic language group) once they arrive, giving them basic language skills.

•Confirmation on the continuation of the Pramilanderti-Congolese War.
•A lottery has been introduced in which only families which have children under the age of three can enter, and child welfare is to be stepped up to $250 per person.

It had been quite a few days since the Russian "response" to the letter, an act the government of the NSE deemed as outrageous and disrespectful at best, and not only the government but the population as well had been waiting for the Emperor to address them regarding the issue, growing more and more nervous about this as, to them, it seemed as if the Emperor and the Imperial Family, in general, did not really care about the issue. But that was actually Michal's will: the more people were nervous about this, the more people would have followed his statement live. And so it would have been: on this cold February 10th 2053, Michal would have released a statement concerning the state of the country's foreign relations.

Now, at 14:00, it was time to do so.

"Brothers and Sisters, dear fellow Countrymen and Countrywomen, I am here today, in front of you all, to talk to you about what has recently happened to our country from the point of view of our foreign relations. First of all, I should talk about the so-called Russian Crisis that has occurred recently. The Russian government, I have to say, has been spreading lies and propaganda in these weeks, starting from the address to their own people: first of all, it was us, the Northern Slavic Empire, to try to amend the situation and try to re-establish a peaceful and prosperous partnership between the two countries; not the Russian Federation.
Secondly, they have stated that we have asked for them to relinquish their claims over the territory they lost during the Second Unification War. A thing which couldn't be less false: to prove you, I am going to read you the entire message I, my wife, my daughter, and General Ponomarčenkova have co-signed and sent to the Russian Chancellor.
Here it is: Greetings, fellow Slavs. For years now, the Northern Slavic Empire and Russia have hold grudges against each other, and that is understandable. It all started in the mid-2020's, because of the then-government's unwillingness to cooperate on the issue of Ukraine. That kickstarted a series of events that culminated with the then-government of Russia allying with Fenezuela and China instead that entering the IDF as we had proposed. This resulted in our two countries going to war against each other during the Third World War, also known as the Second Unification War in the Northern Slavic Empire. Now, we want to bury the war axe and live, once again, as we used to before all of this happened: in peace, loving each other, as brothers that were unwillingly split by the events of Time, and that now want to live together once again. This, in our mind, comes through the accession of the Russian state in the OCSSP, the alliance whose main role is protecting the Slavic People's and its interests. Furthermore, we offer numerous trade agreements, amongst them one regarding industrial equipment being sold by our businesses to yours, and one regarding oil and natural gas being sold to our country for a price lower than the one for other countries, and so on. Answer soon. As you can see, we never mentioned what the Russian government claimed to be in our letter. And to prove our sincerity and openness, all State offices of the Empire will publish the content of the letter, which was written in English, on all of their Social Network accounts, providing a photo of the letter as well, together with a Russian and a Slavonic translation.
I believe we can consider this chapter closed, and, as such, we can move to another important issue: Georgia.
I have today declared the beginning of Operation Weeping Angels, a military intervention in Georgia on the side of the insurgents, the People's legitimate representatives, to put an end to the civil war.
This being said, I must inform you that we thought for weeks about possible solutions to the Georgian Crisis and that I haven't taken this decision light-heartedly and without hesitation, for whenever our men and women risk dying, I feel like a part of me is dying already.

As soon as the presenters were ready, the director gave the signal: “5… 4… 3… 2… 1… and… we are on air!”

Polina Ivanenko, TV Nova’s female news presenter started to speak as soon as she was told they were on air: “Good evening SSC, here is Polina Borisivna Ivanenko and Vojtěch Kořínek for TV Nova. So, Vojtěch, there are a lot of things to say today, where should we start from?”

“Well” Vojtěch said “I think that the Primaries are the… primary concern of all citizens of our country, so probably starting from there is what should be done, don’t you agree?”

“Sure. So, yesterday was the day when most Political parties held the votes for their primaries: when all of those who are members of a certain party were called to decide what person would their party pick as the candidate for the race to the place of Prime Minister of our country. For the first time there were no nobles trying to win any party’s nomination, and, as usual, only one of the parties decided not to hold Primaries, this being the KNRM.” Replied Polina, who then stopped to let Vojtěch speak.

“Indeed. And what can we say about these Primary Elections? That most parties, besides the SPiS, have picked the most extreme, let’s say, candidate they could ever possibly take; for example with the SDZ choosing to candidate Libuše Ogořková, a foreign policy expert and former ambassador to the United Republic of Europe who also happens to be a fervent anti-communist, we can see a drift towards more extremist positions in a party which has usually been moderate. And, I mean, this is a very big surprise from the SDZ, considering that the same electorate which has recently chosen Mrs. Ogořková is the same that has always voted, in the past years in favour of coalition governments with the CKK.”

“I think it has come as a surprise to everyone, but I also think that this might as well be a response to the CKK’s choice of Słavomír Jánošík as their candidate. Jánošík is considered a moderate under certain points of view, such as the economy, but he has also stated that the SDZ should stop arguing with the CKK in the parliament and in the various parliamentary committees, because that would, to quote him, undermine the people’s relevance in the representative organs of our country, adding that if the SDZ does not run together with the CKK and on a united CKK-SDZ platform, then he would be against any compromise with them post-elections at all. On the other side of the political fence, as we all know, the candidates chosen by the parties of the right are Radosłav Radčenko for the SPiS, an incredibly moderate person willing to compromise with everybody, and Růžena Řezáčová for the NSSN. Now, I hate not to be impartial, but I personally think the odds are all in favour of Mrs. Řezáčová: she is a former member of the military, with a lot of supporters in the upper echelons of the country’s state apparatus, liked by almost all of her party, a good chunk of the SPiS’ voters, and even by some on the left, who see in her a real defender of the people and of those who have less.”

“I don’t think you aren't being impartial, honestly, and personally I think that many in the left like her for her emphasis over a strong stimulus package for the economy. But anyways: to discuss this and other issues, we have invited Mrs. Mirosłava Rogozinska, a columnist and a foreign policy expert for the Národní Obrození newspaper based in Praha, and Mr. Mykola Kuzmyč Nečyporenko, a civilian adviser to the Imperial Family Council from Polina’s same city, Kijóv. Good evening Mrs. Rogozinska and Mr. Nečyporenko. As courtesy requires, women come first, and so I’d like to ask Mrs. Rogozinska: what do you think these Primaries have shown? I mean, do you see any pattern or anything… interesting, so to say, from, for example, a statistical point of view in the results of these Primaries?”

“First of all, let me thank you very much for having invited me on today.” Said Mirosłava.

“You’re welcome.” Responded Polina.

“Now, to answer your question, I personally think that yes, there are patterns that we can identify by taking a look at these primary elections’ results. For example in Bohemia and Moravia, most of the votes were taken by half-blood candidates: Libuše Ogořková and Laurencjuš Vinarski for what concerns the SDZ, Růžena Řezáčová in the NSSN’s Primaries, Radčenko was the winner in the SPiS’s vote, and Dobromila Bartáková destroyed any opponent in those regions in the CKK Primaries. Another thing to note is that, in general, Slovakia tends to be overwhelmingly moderate, besides the CKK voters (but that's because, as we all know, Slovakia is the centre of the CKK’s so-called extremist faction, despite being generally SDZ-leaning). So yes, I think we can see that, in these Primaries more than in others, certain areas vote along certain lines, no matter which Parties are taken into consideration and which aren't.”

“And what about what the various candidates have to offer? Mr. Nečyporenko, do you think that the vote is influenced mostly by the ethnicity of the candidate or by their political ideas?” asked Vojtěch.

“I’d also like to thank you for inviting me, and I’d say that I agree with what Mrs. Rogozinska said: certain areas, we have seen over the past years and during these Primaries as well, tend to vote for certain kinds of candidates. But that is not the only factor to determine what areas vote for a certain candidate: even more important than the candidates themselves are the candidates' proposals. You see, most of our defence industry is can be found in what is defined as the Heart of Steel of the nation: the kingdoms of Poland, Ukraine, and, to a certain extent, Czechoslovakia. And just as much, most of our Armed Forces’ professional personnel comes from those three kingdoms. So it should not surprise us that the overwhelming winners in those areas are those who, during the campaign, focused more on strengthening the Armed Forces and improving our economic situation even further.”

“Interesting point… do you think that foreign policy issues and proposals also play a role? Or do you think that those proposals and plans are mostly relegated to the role of fillers, in the candidates’ campaigns?”

“No, I think they occupy a very important place, especially for those people living at the borders with countries that are not members of the OCSSP or the IDF, and I think you get what I mean: for instance, if we take a look at the results of the Primaries in the regions at the borders with Russia, most of them have voted for candidates proposing a softer stance concerning, indeed, the relations with the Russian Federation.”

“Thank you very much for your answer, Mr. Nečyporenko.” said Polina, who then turned to Mirosłava and asked her: “Now, let’s distance us from the election a bit, shall we? I would like to ask you, Mrs. Rogozinska, what do you think of the current situation between our country and the Russian Federation? How much are we in danger, and how can it affect the elections?”

“I will answer your first question immediately and quickly: no, we are not in danger. The Russian Federation is still suffering from the Second Unification War, as their economy has not fully recovered yet and their army is just a shadow of its former self. The actions undertaken by the Russian Federation are shameful, and I personally think that our country has done very well, yet not well enough, to tackle the issue. As such, I think that most parties will try and play the Russia Card, so to say, in the elections, trying to appeal to a certain part of the electorate.”

“Mr. Nečyporenko, what are your thoughts about it?” asked Vojtěch.

“There isn’t much to add to what Mrs. Rogozinska said, honestly. But I actually think that Russia is a threat. Look, it might not look as one, but we must recognize that the Russian Federation is a highly-autocratic dictatorship, and as such, the Russian Federation’s actions can’t be forecast. As Winston Churchill once put it: Russia is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. So, what to expect from this situation during the elections? I personally hope we shouldn't expect anything, and that our country’s diplomatic steps will be able to convince the Russians to be reasonable. But again: Russia is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma, so we can’t know what to expect from it.”

“Thank you, Mr. Nečyporenko, for answering.” Said Polina “I hope both the two of you and our audience won’t frown upon me for changing topic, but I would like to ask you what do you think about what is currently going on in Georgia. For those who might not know, earlier this week our Armed Forces engaged in large-scale military operations to bring the Georgian Civil War to an end. So, Mrs. Rogozinska, you go first.”

“Well, in all honesty, that’s a very sensitive topic, and I am personally against the decision taken by our government. Georgia does not need a foreign military intervention: they need a peaceful and diplomatic solution, which I think is highly plausible. That being said, I also think this might cause a bad reaction in Moscow, and while I might not consider Russia a threat, I certainly don’t want a war to erupt between us and them. Again.”

“Your turn, Mr. Nečyporenko.”

“Well, I actually think that our government made the best choice possible. The Imperial Family Council and the War Cabinet have been examining this situation for days, and we have come out with the notion that a diplomatic solution is not acceptable. By this, I don’t say it’s unacceptable to us (I was personally against the intervention as well, before being provided with evidence of that being the only possible way): what I meant was that the two warring parts could never agree on a compromise simply because the rebels want the resignation of the government and that only, while the government, as any other government, would never resign. In light of this, we have decided to intervene in favour of the insurgents because of the way the government, which we have declared as illegitimate under our point of view, used to treat the opposition and ethnic minorities as well, a way which resembles what used to happen in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.”

“Thanks a lot Mr. Mykola Kuzmyč Nečyporenko and Mrs. Mirosłava Rogozinska for your answers and for having been here with us this evening, and thank you to our audience as well, we hope to see you soon, stay tuned for more news, here, on TV Nova.”

Praha, Northern Slavic Empire - February 17th 2053, 20:00

Růžena Řezáčová had been nominated by the Party through the Primaries, a common thing in Northern Slavic politics, and was now ready to deliver her very first speech as the candidate for the post of Prime Minister.

She would have faced hard challenges in the run towards becoming Prime Minister, but it would have been worth it, for taking the oath and serving the nation was definitely the most important and patriotic thing a citizen of the Empire could ever possibly wish to achieve, and Růžena had been waiting for that moment for years now.

It was a well-established tradition in the history of the NSSN to visit a military base first during the campaign for the Prime Ministry, and Růžena certainly did not want to break such a well-established and well-paying tradition. So, the base to be visited had been chosen: Homel.

Homel was a city in Belarus, one of those that had relatively recently been annexed by the Empire in the Second Unification War. As such, the previous years had seen relentless efforts by the various governments, especially thanks to high pressure by NSSN MP’s, to invest in the region, in order to calm the popular spirit, and stimulate economic and demographic growth. Now that these policies were starting to give the planned results, the NSSN could very well claim to be the one party that brought prosperity back to Belarus.

As usual, the visit to the military base was merely tradition and ceremony: the candidate arriving, shaking hands, promising to increase the military budget and talking about how eternally grateful the country was towards her servicemen, and how the NSSN would bring back the power and strength of the military.
What actually mattered though, was the first visit to a city of the whole campaign, as it would have actually been the first rally of the campaign as well. That was what mattered because there was where the people were going to go and see her talk, follow her live, be inspired by her voice, her energy, her charisma: not in a military base. And the first city to be visited would have been Prague, Růžena’s native city in the very heart of Bohemia.

There had been speakers talking to the crowd for hours on that day, and she was the last to be scheduled for the rally. Many people had left, many were tired, but the crowd still numbered around 200,000 people nonetheless. It had already been a huge success, but it could be even more after Růžena’s speech was delivered.

Before her, it was his brother to approach the podium. He was a politician as well, and, being older, had been through many more campaigns than his sister, who asked him to help her during this Prime Ministerial and Parliamentary campaign.

“Good evening Prague! Good lord, you are really a lot! Let me tell you: you really make the Velvet Revolution look like a small bunch of people with no real reason to be where they were! Now though, I don’t want to steal your time, and believe me that I know who you are waiting for. I have been at her right flank all this time, and I will continue to, at least until she gets married… I know that when she decides to do something, she does it. I know how she works, how work ethic, and believe me: that is the person you want to take the Oath and serve our country together with our Imperial Family! Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you: Růžena Řezáčová!”

At that point, the crowd cheered and shouted her name, spelling each syllable of her name with equal voice and equal dedication. In the same moment, the campaign’s theme song started to be played in the background, as Růžena reached the podium from where she would have delivered her speech, and started to speak.

“Dobrý věčer Praho!* How are you, fellow citizens of this wonderful city? I imagine you could be better off if the mayor wasn’t a corrupted member of the SDZ, right? Anyways, I am not here to talk to you about Prague only, or our beloved Bohemia only: I am here to talk to you about our Country, our Nation! Which we have let be run by communists and leftists for years! And yes, it’s true that we have cooperated with the Communists in two governments, but that was the only real possibility for our country to have a stable government, and if there is something we don’t want is an unstable government, because that would only favor the Left, in their attempt to destabilize the Nation.
I want to ask you now, to look back in History and tell me what you see. Because you know what I see if I take a look back? I see our people getting rid of the Communist Dictatorship in 1989, I see our same people then splitting between Slovakia and the Czech Republic and committing one of the worst mistakes of the last century. I see our heroes immolating themselves to protest the Soviet invasion and occupation of our beloved Country: Jan Palach and Jan Zajíc in Prague, Evžen Plocek in Jihlava, and Ryszard Siwiec in Warsaw. I see our people fighting not only for our freedom, but for the one of others as well: in the fields of Poland, in the plains of Ukraine, in the mountains of Slovakia, in the ruins of Warsaw, and in the skies of Britain. I see foreign crusaders in the north, the Teutonic Order, and from the rest of Europe, against the Hussites, fighting to deprive us of lands and freedom; and when I see it, I see our brave and valiant warriors fighting them, beating them, and saving our nation. I see the siege of Prague in 1648, and the heroic resistance of our people on the Karlův Most.
I see this every time I look back, and doing it I understand the meaning of the words Honour, Pride, and Courage.
And what do I see, what do WE see if we look at our country in its current status? I see a 7% unemployment rate; I see an almost-stagnating population, and I see an economy which yes, is growing, but not even nearly as much as it should be.
And this, THIS is the result of decades of rule of the left. This is what our choice to be ruled by a brutal horde of wannabe-Stalin members of the CKK resulted in, and we are still paying for the consequences of decades of rule by a Party which believes in an ideology going against the very nature of mankind itself!
Now, you might think that I am here just to tell you how bad things are and that I have no idea of how to solve them. But that is not true. What we propose is that we subsidize our small industries and enterprises, to stimulate the growth of our middle class. We should furthermore invest a good part of the billions we have in reserve in our industry and military; why in our military? you might ask, and my answer is that our military’s request for new weapons, armaments and systems, in general, will generate a growth in our military-industrial sector: it’s basic supply-and-demand.
And what about the education? Do we keep the current system as it is? Yes, I’d say. My Party is actually the one that amended the law to make it as it is now. But one thing should be changed: not enough effort is put into making our children ready for military service. I thus say that we should increase the number of weekly hours of military education in normal schools from the current six to ten or twelve.
For what concerns our foreign policy, I am a very strong believer in the need to stand firm with our allies in the Slavic lands, such as Serbia and Slovenia, and those out of them, such as the URE or the NAF.
And I can promise you one thing, my fellow Countrymen: we will finally have reparations for all the damages to Warsaw, Poland, and Czechoslovakia during the Great Patriotic War! We will have them, finally: the deaths of our great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers, as well as the material losses, will finally be dealt with!
My People! Countrymen and Countrywomen! I can’t promise you the heavens! But I can promise you that our Nation will be Great once again! We will make our economy flourishing again! We will make our people prosperous again! We will make our nation and military strong again! And yes: UNITED, WE WILL MAKE THE EMPIRE GREAT AGAIN!
Thank you! May your deity bless you, and bless our glorious country!” Růžena stopped speaking, thanking the crowd and going behind the scenes: it was done, it had started; nothing could stop it: nothing could stop her.

Separately, we would like to ask you whether you are interested in purchasing the Iron Dome Missile Defence System, which would protect you from missile attacks from countries near and far: the expected cost of this program for you would be around 15-25 billion USD, for a total of 4-5 years, depending on how much of your landmass you think should be covered, and on the number of missiles you would be willing purchase.

Furthermore, we are interested in purchasing a total of three military bases in your country: one for our Army, one of our Navy, and one for our Air Force.

Greetings,

I write to you in the name of our Emperor to address various points.

The first of these is that we are very grateful to you for having allowed us to construct military bases in your country, bases that will be useful not only to our Country but to yours as well, as providing one of your main allies with bases on your soil would allow a faster response from the IDF and a stronger and better defence of the Persian mainland, should war ever occur between you and your neighbours.

Secondly, we would like to announce that some amongst our main industries, namely Škoda, Tatra, and Zbrojovka Brno, have expressed interest in creating a joint venture called Bohemia Arms - Persia, to invest in your country for a total of 40 billion USD (private funds, not state money).

Thirdly, but most importantly, we would like to sign an alliance, both offensive and defensive, between our two countries, mainly to defend each other from the threat that a resurgent Russia could pose.

Esteemed Emperor,

I write to you today to notify you about the success of the following programs: Super Soldier, T-2 MBT, and SSBNX.

First off: the SSBNX joint program with the Persians has been completed and production of 30 submarines will start immediately, with those being expected to enter service within a 5 years framework at max. In this email's attachments, you will find a diagram exposing the SSBNX's characteristics.

Secondly: the Super Soldier program has been completed. It has resulted in the exoskeleton you can see in the attachments; it features a fully-enclosed helmet with an integrated quad-tube night-vision device, and rugged armour protection as well, capable of stopping rifle rounds and reducing the impact of gauss guns by 70%, covering 60% of the operator. There's also a powered, lower-body exoskeleton, which is used to transfer the additional weight of the armour down to the waist-belt while supporting it with motorized actuators on each leg, as well as an upper-body exoskeleton: all in all, the exoskeleton increases the soldier's physical capabilities by 20-30%. Everything is powered by a small power pack and cooling system worn on the back. The suit also provides limited protection against NBC weapons.

Thirdly: the T-2 MBT. It is an incredible improvement over the previous T-1 MBT, featuring all of the T-1's defensive countermeasures, yet with an increased range and effectiveness, thus reducing the chance of being hit by whatever kind of projectile to 1 out of 80. Furthermore, it features our brand-new liquid gun-propellent system for its 165mm main-gun. The main gun's recoil is lower than the T-1's, and it also features an auto-loader twice as efficient as the T-1's, enabling it to fire between 17 and 20 rounds per minute. Its secondary armament consists of two co-axial 50mm auto-cannons; the T-2 MBT is capable of carrying up to 75 projectiles of all kinds, and a maximum of 500 ammunition for each of its two 50mm cannons, with the main gun's ammunition being a separate compartment than the crew, a compartment which is isolated from any other part of the tank, in order to reduce the risk of lethal explosions inside the tank. The required crew is of three people: a Commander, a Driver, and a Gunner. The top speed on road is 110 km/h, while the top speed off-road is 80 km/h. You can find this in the attachments as well.

ADMINISTRATION:
