Doge's life
Twin boys were born to the Doge and his wife Marina Osman.
The destiny of these two is uncertain as the Sultan and the Doge agreed that around the age of 12 he who proves proficient with Marital skill will take over as Sultan while the one that is Proficient at Stewardship and Statecraft stays behind and takes over for his father when he dies.
The two were named Romulus and Remus named after the founders of Rome. Hopefully, their story doesn't follow the myth.

Government Reform
After being denied access to the largest trade blocs in the Mediterranean the doge stepped down as head of state. He retains the title of doge but the Head of the state is now a prime minister elected through a republican system through an electoral college of sorts. It retains the other parts of government but lowest levels of the state are elected by people who then elect the higher ups on and on until they get to the PM who the Council of 10 votes on. The Doge will continue to be Doge with limited influence on Politics but will work more of a figurehead to keep Venice similar to the old days.

The First Election
Almost Immediately after the doge stepped down the still heavily Libertarian Council of 10 elected a new PM, Hector Sempronia.The new government will use the old doge in politics mostly as an ambassador or the guy to give a speech.

As the outside of the senate was under construction, inside the building was different. The inside was unaffected by the hurricane and inside the senate room, the president was speaking with both republicans and democrats on the matter of their debt, the threat to the south, and the ongoing rebellion in the north.

Charles: “The growing amount of debt this country has accumulated has grown too far out of control. I propose a new Fiscal Budget for the next four years. This budget will make it so any incoming trade from foreign nations, regardless of allies or enemies, be raised to a tariff total of 5%.
John: “Now that is a huge increase on foreign materials. Do you have any idea on what the effect on our industry be?”
Charles: “Yes, but the long-term effects it can have on our nation would outweigh the short-term effects. Not only will this reduce our national debt, but this will help promote our home industry. Bringing back jobs to America and keeping them here. Nathan Lee Endress has already has given the estimated budget if this were to take into effect.”

Tim: “This budget does seem more profitable, but aren’t many of the other countries in debt to us still? Especially those in Asia and Europe?”
Charles: “That is correct, however with these new nations popping up, we lose any and all revenue to those who were in debt to us.”
Ceaser: “That doesn’t give an excuse to the URE, who were originally France and Switzerland before they “Integrated” over half of Europe. They still owe us a large sum of money ever since WWII.”
Charles: “I won’t argue with you on that matter, but we will table that for later. What is at my most concern is our southern neighbor popping claims that have belonged to us for over two decades. Putting thousands of Americans at risk.”
Rhys: “The problem is their leader is nothing more than another Ultranationalist that seeks nothing more than land that has longed to belong to us, like you had said. We will be facing another Germany, but here in America, and with them having Pramilandert and Canada in their alliance, they seem keened on taking US out.”
Edward: “That would be suicide, attacking us would be attacking the rest of the IDF, they would be causing yet another World War, not even 20 years after the last one.”
Charles: “History seems to be repeating itself, it seems mankind is not longed for peaceful relations with those of different nationalities….. Not even with a threat that can eliminate all of mankind, yet we still squabble amongst ourselves… Hence why I call forth a plan of action that will make it so the world will ever regret going to war with each other.”
Martin: “How will we do that? That’s what the UN Security Council is for…-“
Charles: “AND TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE! NOTHING! THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING EXCEPT SIT BACK AND WATCH AS THOUSANDS OF WARS RAGE ACROSS THE WORLD! IT IS TIME TO SHOW THE POWER OF WHAT WE ARE CAPABLE….” Charles seemed to be almost crying, as if regretting what he was about to say next.
“I propose an act only God would be able to pass, but if worse comes to worse, I call for the use of nuclear weapons against any and all enemies that oppose the future of democracy, and threaten the lives of Americans across the United States…
Autumn: “The use of the weapon is anything but welcoming to the entire world, are you sure you want thousands of lives, mainly innocents, to be on your soul, Mr. President?”
Charles: “If it will protect the lives of Americans, I will bear the burden of those that die as a result of such actions…”
Susa: “We will discuss it over Mr. President. I think we can agree that this meeting is adjourn Mr. President?”
Charles: “Agreed, I will take my leave”

The President and the rest of the senate pick up their belongings and walked out of the room within their own time. As the president stepped down from the podium, Bruce and Thomas approached the president.

Charles: “Bruce, Thomas” Charles nodded an agreement
Bruce&Thomas: “Mr. President” they said in unison
Bruce: “Mr. President, me and Thomas would like to propose an idea that the military theorists have asked of us to ask you.”
Thomas: “Although we wish not to disclose this to public, we figured this would be one of the only times we could talk to you without many preying eyes” Thomas nodded his head to the cameras that were being shut down and packed up.
Charles: “I see, so what is this idea? It sounds like something the public would not like….”
Bruce: “Mr. President, if I may be blunt, nobody likes the advancement of military technology, if anything, we are just finding more ways to kill each other.”
Thomas: “But the idea they have come up with is the use of micro-machines, the size of locust”
Charles: “Well, that isn’t that small…..What would they be used for? Don’t see much use for them”
Bruce: “Excuse me Mr. President, but do you know of Moses and the Ten Plagues?”
Charles: “You mean the Exodus, yes… Are you implying what I think you are implying…”
Thomas: “We are implying exactly what you are thinking Mr. President. Of course there would be a kill switch for these little robotic insects.”
Charles: “That would conflict with Resolution GA/3/1.1 put forth by the URE against military robotics.”
Bruce: “actually, this wouldn’t be targeting any human life, this would only be targeting the plant life around the country. Namely those grown by farmers”
Charles: “Are you sure these “Bugs” will not be the direct cause of human life….”
Thomas: We are certain Mr. President. All we have to do is calibrate the AI into identifying which plant is which”
Charles: “Alright, The military has my go ahead, under the codename “Rameses”, now if you will excuse me, I have an interview to attend. Try to not make this Public...”

The president walked out of the senate room and stepped out of the building as a crowd of reporters tried to get his attention. Saying “What is the next plan of action…” “What do you have to say about Mexico’s claims?” “Will military action be taken?” “Is the US involved with the rebels in Canada?” Charles ignored them all, as he was escorted by his secret service agents into the Presidential Vehicle and taken to the White House. The drive didn’t take too long, but was a trip nonetheless due to the flood waters that now swamped the area, luckily the Storm had dissipated over New York due to its prolonged stay over land and the loss of warm waters. But the damage by the Hurricane was still tremendous, but the National Guard, the coast guard, and many of those across the country were helping as much as possible. Those that had prepared for the worst in New York began to send what they could to the American Red Cross charity, to help provide food and home essentials to those that had no home left. Charles looked around the small city, seeing many of those either stuck, or those helping others rebuild what they had lost in the hurricane. Finally the car reached the White house, the door was opened by agents expecting the Presidents arrival, escorting him throughout the building until he reached the Oval office, where reporters were waiting, as soon as he opened the door, the room flooded with questions. Charles looked and waved with a smile, and took a seat, and pointed to the first reporter with their hand up.

1: “Mr. President with the recent news of Mexico’s claims to American soil, how do you respond to this?”
Charles: “That is a very good question, and all I can answer with at this time is that we will do our best to maintain diplomatic actions with our Southern neighbor, but if diplomacy won’t work, then military action which the world has never seen before will be taken into action”
2: “Mr. President, are you saying that you will use nuclear weapons against Mexico and their allies?”
Charles: “If it comes to that, pray that it doesn’t, but if it does, we will hopefully have men at the ready to press the button.”
3: “Should Mexico strike, are we ready?”
Charles: “I’d say we are in fact ready, I will say that we were prepared to intervene in the Amazonian war, thank god we didn’t, but we have left our troops along the Mexican border ever since Mexico announced that Pramilandert had joined their alliance.”
4: “Are any actions being considered to combat this threat to both our north and south?”
Charles: “Should Canada invade, they will be facing URE naval forces along with URE marine forces on their lands. As for Mexico, we have our troops dug in and our military bases on the highest alert. I will say this myself, but WWIV seems inevitable at this point in time.”
3: “Do we have any defense against the Canadian front?”
Charles: “We do in fact have defensive measures against a Canadian push in place should they join this war against us.”
5: “Are there any actions being taken to keep our jobs here in America and to fix our economy?”
Charles: “Actions are being taken, and will be enforced soon, sometime this month.”

The secret service agents came in, announcing that the interview was over and for everyone to leave the room immediately. They then looked to the president and said to him that it was now time to head to the Pentagon for briefing on the current situation. Charles complied and left the White house in a calm fashion, as the car made its way to the Pentagon.

Military base along the Mexican Border

Military personnel and other military vehicles were on constant standby, ready for the Mexicans to make the first move, many of which keeping an eye on the fence that separated the US from Mexico. Should an invading force of Mexicans come through, their first obstacle would be the fence which was constantly patrolled by US border troops and now military personnel.

Conference Room, Vice President Donald

Donald: “The President is well aware of Mexico’s claims to US states, and we have been preparing for such a threat ever since Mexican Expansion into the Central American region started. Are troops are locked and loaded, and we are further enhancing our military ever since Mexico and America were under the same flag for some time. Should the Mexican government attack, along with their allies, they will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. I can assure you that.”

US. Pentagon, time: Classified

The President was escorted with a large number of guards, many of which pulled off to block the entrances the President went through. Then they reached the elevator, one of the agents pressed the button to go down, the door shut and they descended.

Many military analysts were running back and forth between machines and between each other. The large sign reading Defcon was already at three. Meaning war was imminent for the US against the Mexican opposition and their allies. Battle plans were already drawn on the large screen. Even though this room had seen so many conflicts since the start of the cold war, it had remained a key part in the American military strategy planning. On the screen were large marks for where Mexican and Canadian armies were assembled in their territories. Along with those armies, were American armies and military bases, with many of the armies either assigned to the bases or were in strategic locations between bases to ensure no troop got past with ease. Through another door, a projector depicted current troop movement and positioning on a smaller screen. In here Charles met with the major generals and admirals, ready to discuss the plans for military action.

Civilian news

In the public eye, a new game has been released, released by Paradox, the game was called Hearts of Steel, the game depicted the build-up and break out of the third world war. Including some time afterwards, this game was seen as a sequel to the ever growing real-time strategy series with older games like Hearts of Iron. With the newest sensation of the third world war, many have bought the book Zonglidìguó, with many enjoying the book as a work of fiction of an alternative ending to the third world war, with others just discarding it as propaganda. After the series release into the public, a cable channel had asked for the transition from book to the main screen of American Television ever since the book began to pick up popularity in the US.
In other news, many are advocating for US intervention in Canada, wanting their northern border to be friendly again, while many others push for action against Mexican claims on US soil. With these claims, US diplomates are being sent to Mexico to discuss any means of avoiding war, and to ensure US lands stay within the US.

The day of the conference had arrived swifter than Ernman had anticipated, him scrambling at the last minute to scrounge up a usable dialogue, though thankfully for him Ingemar was fully prepared for just such an occasion, and so would be heading the conference himself instead of President Ernman. The Danish and Icelandic delegations arrived at around 11:00, at which point Jakobsson started a brief press conference, though little information was actually given out apart from the Minister's disappointment that Greenland had opted out of the Conference. After this brief conference, lasting only about 10 minutes, the delegations and the Minister headed to a back room, shutting the doors and keeping out the media. With that out of the way, Jakobsson sighed, stretched for a moment, and began:

"Well, let's dive right in. I know that your nations might have a somewhat negative outlook on a reunited Scandinavia, based on the previous government that lead this, the Nordic Treaty, which had collapsed due to its somewhat psychotic leadership. However, I am glad to inform you that with this Confederation, we aim for stable leadership, a stable union, and only the best for our citizens. This, alongside still allowing the various states a liberal amount of domestic autonomy, to pass what policy they will within their own borders so long as it is not intended to harm your fellow Confederation members. Foreign policy, and certain Domestic policy decisions, will be handled by a Congress headed by the Foreign Affairs minister for Foreign Affairs, and by the President on Domestic issues. Apart from that, the military will also be one coordinated unit, not split among the member states but rather working under joint command of the states. This is to ensure no one state becomes a dominant military power within the Confederation, and that none can force their intentions on another. We will function, economically and scientifically, as a unit as well, working for the benefit of all member states, not just one or two. Minister Møller, we realize that Denmark borders the United Republic of Europe, however your nation and ours have always had much closer cultural ties and, in a time with rising sea levels, we will stand with you in solidarity. The same applies to Iceland, minister Asolfursdottir, minus the 'borders the URE' bit," he states drawing a small chuckle. "Whether or not either of you decide to join us, which would lead to substantial economic and aid benefits, we wish to pledge into a Military training and developement agreement over the next five years, allowing us to share and develope the technology the Nordic Treaty left us with, put it to use, and start researching new and original technologies. I will state that, as a confederation, some of the aforementioned terms are open to negotiation, of course, should you find that some of them go to far, or some not far enough. I pray you consider what I presented today with a positive response in mind, though whatever happens may we continue our long and prosperous relationship."

And with that, the basics of the conference were over. That is not all that was covered in the conference, there were a few other, more confidential things, but that's for another time. For now, the meeting was adjourned, hopefully with the Danes and Icelanders to soon join the Confederation.

In the meantime, Jakobsson had another meeting to schedule, this time with the head of the IDF, the United Republic of Europe.

<Dawkins> "As I'm sure you're aware, and as I've been informed, the purpose of this conference was one of IDF membership. On the topic of powers with contested territory, it would be a positive influence on relations if territorial ambitions could be sorted out. Although the United Republic will, although not publicly, recognize Gothenburg sovereignty over Iceland and Greenland, Denmark remains a point of ambition for the United Republic. The state, with attractive control over the Baltic Sea, it is the sole claim the United Republic makes. Under acceptance, you would be open to the vast militaristic, economic, and technological benefits all IDF members enjoy. However, we are fully willing to negotiate these terms."

Jakobsson: "While I understand the URE's strategic interest in Denmark, frankly, the Danes have always swayed towards Scandinavia... would it be reasonable to you that, should the Danes choose to join us, we give you the Southern Denmark Region, and the two major and assorted minor islands in the Southernmost part of the Zealand region, alongside docking and military access rights to the rest of Denmark?"

After weeks of being urged by envoys from the IDF, Francis Dawkins had agreed to a conference with the Gothenburg Confederation. The conference was to be held without knowledge from the public, and was on the topic of defining spheres of influence, akin to the Warsaw Accords. This would drastically decrease territorial competition between the two nations, and in turn Gothenburg would join the International Democratic Federation. The sky was relatively clear in the city, few clouds which remained grouped together. Him, along with several envoys, walk into the conference building sitting on the edge of the Göta River. He shakes the hand of Minister Jakobsson and sits in a seat.

<Jakobsson> "Mr. Dawkins, good to see you today. As you know, in November the Gothenburg Confederation held a conference with Denmark and Iceland, asking them to join the Confederacy. We do not yet know their individual response to the request, but we hope that this does not intrude on your territorial boundaries. We were also looking into inviting Greenland to the Confederation, but they've been... Less than accepting of our help, outright rejecting even an alliance offer."

<Dawkins> "As I'm sure you're aware, this conference's primary purpose is on the topic of contested spheres of influence, it would have a positive influence on relations if thee ambitions could be sorted out in a civil manner. Although the United Republic will, although not publicly, recognize Gothenburg sovereignty over Greenland and Iceland, Denmark remains a point of ambition for the United Republic. The state, with attractive control over the Baltic Sea, minimizing land borders, and sizeable European population, it is the sole claim the United Republic makes. Upon acceptance of these conditions and into the alliance, you would be open to the vast militaristic, economic, technological, and political benefits all IDF members enjoy. However, we are fully willing to negotiate the terms of the spheres of influence."

<Jakobsson> "While I understand the United Republic's strategic interest in Denmark, frankly, the Danes have always swayed towards Scandinavia. However, your point about the European population is valid. Would it be possible to do a census of the Danish population and split it, so the German sections would be integrated into the United Republic, and the Danish to Gothenburg? It allows you access to the Baltic, while also allowin us to reunite the Nords under one banner. In addition, we're more than happy oy allow United Republic ships to dock in Gothenburg Denmark should it agree to join us."

<Kuitert> "If I may interject, censuses are not entirely accurate on the topic of ethnicity. Mixed populations or people with an unknown lineage cannot be graphed, a point which would dramatically lessen the German population in the regions. A schism on the grounds of territorial gain instead of that of ethnic would be in order. If the nation of Denmark in its entirety will not be acceptable, perhaps we may scale back ambitions. <Jakobsson> "I will offer the regions with a likelyhood to lean German. Southern Denmark. I also offer the Central region in exchange for the islend of Funen. Along with this, I offer the United Republic military access to the Northern parts of the mainland if you so desire."

<Dawkins> "What about this: Southern Denmark will go to the United Republic in its entirety. Along with this: Lolland, Falster, and Mon will be put under the United Republic. These three islands south of Zealand have no large cities, but would allow for more territorial waters for the United Republic, along with the ability to quickly dispatch military units if hostiles go through the straits."

Victory in Tranquility

She sniffs the air, sensing weakness in her foes. Still smaller though, she would happily leech off of them as they would decay... growing full of strength as the others were drained

Her time continued, peace and normal lives continuing in the relatively, and strangely stable Pra'araziaydın. Daily, millions of children, teens and students swear their fealty to the Empress of all under Heaven before their studies, declaring they study for not themselves, but for the betterment of the land Heaven had given them the mandate to protect. Contrary to what others would think of an autocratic country, Pra'araziaydın would live up to her name as an 'Enlightened Empire', taking education of her populace very seriously, and despite also being heavily religious, religion has not blocked the studies taking place. The land was pulsing with knowledge, especially now that she had erected such great cities as Ruhşehri, Karacasi and more - cities which did not sleep, lights always on, cars always driving, subways always zooming, money being made, teachers teaching.

Rebuilding the country, and improving upon it with all the funds it had allocated to such, especially with the aid of Zhongjiang, the infrastructure and telecommunications abilty, as well as agriculture had been bettered. It was hard to imagine that in 2017, Venezuela was starving, in crippling economic decline and ran a very single-minded economy, whilst now, its successors having lead the land to glory, lived opulent lives as they would dine on what they wished, buy what they wanted and have global business ventures, now sitting as an indisputable world power, with an incredible economy. And with the decline of her opponents in the North, as famine strikes the rest of the world, Russian trade beginning to get monopolised by Pra'araziaydın too as the rest of the world refuses to trade, hopefully beginning yet another upward trend in the economy. Another upward trend was the birth rate in the country, as her administration implements every policy they can think of to encourage men and women to marry, to have families, and live traditional lifestyles in line with the image that had been set so many years ago of the perfect family - four kids, a mother, maid and a father. And, with so many men having been declined their service to the Pra'araziaydıniz Royal Army during the War of Enlightenment, it's expected that with so much life spared from being wasted, this will work fine, as there is no shortage of marriagable men and women in the country.

Incentives have been planted for formerly American companies to come over to work in Pra'araziaydın and set up shop there, charts presented showing the great trends within the country, as well as its list of civil and political rights. Whilst comparatively autocratic to other countries, this is generally only so in the political process, power resting in the Empress's hands almost entirely. However, the establishment of local governments has offset this thought, as interventionism from the gov't remains low. The low tax rates in Pra'araziaydın, as well as its new common market it is setting up have also been presented, and so it hopes to see the Northern market flock to their area to base themselves... and let the money roll in.

For now though, little to no significant events have occurred, though the Northern Empire, Chinese and Algerians have all been welcomed into the RCZ, as the Empress waits upon an Indonesian and Russian response. If this grand alliance is formed, they would be nigh immune to whatever economic sanctions the IDF and CLONE could put in place, especially with the fall of the American economy causing a divide in trust between the USA and the URE. Pra'arazia will simply develop herself and watch in glee as the IDF would squabble, and continue biding her time in the Congo, waiting for the coalition forces to fall back into conflict with one another.

Pra'arazia Rules the Waves

As of March this year, Pra'araziaydınız naval capabilities have hit an all time high, with two naval bases constructed at the coastal area of Ruhşehri, another belonging in Karacasi, one in Kaibiz (Maracaibo), another in New Granada, one more in Meceşehir (Buenaventura), and about eight more stretching down the Pacific Coast, and another eight on the Atlantic Coast, respectively. The cause for such a change in military focus from ground to naval superiority was the crushing of its neighbour, Brazil, forever neutering the now dwarfed country, as the Enlightened Empire looks to guard her trade now. Trade had to have its safety guaranteed, especially in the times of war, and the War of the Enlightened, versus Brazil, truly proved that, through Brazil's own mistakes which the Pra'araziaydınız high command observed with watchful eyes. The Pra'araziaydınız Royal Navy will, now, be operating cooperatively with the American Imperial Dominion in firing exercises, alongside working with the now newly founded Ruhşehri Cooperative Zone's members.

Speaking of a naval bases, another is being built, right under the URE's nose. South of Melilla, cutting through Beni Chiker, (بني شيكر), in Algerian Morocco, after an agreement previously discussed months prior between the Empress of all under Heaven and the cooperative Algerian leadership, a canal, accompanied by a Pra'araziaydınız naval base on both sides, is to be constructed, marking the beginning of Pra'araziaydınız involvement in the Mediterannean. The canal is thought to be finished upon the arrival of 2057, or even 2056 because of the stretch of land they must cut through being short, however excavating will certainly be the prime problem here, as well as handling the locals, who may see it as a violation of their rights - since, in technicality, the territory of the canal belongs to the Pra'araziaydınız Imparatorluğu. Only the spirits can tell what can come of this development.

•Pra'arazia maintains being at the front of medical research, in the battle versus the Ataxia virus. Upon mournings hosted by the Pra'araziaydınız Commander, Tokdemir Saban, over those lost to the disease, including his sister, Prahomija looks to keep at the front of the competition on the research, keeping working loosely in coalition with the other researching nations, but in other words, this is a matter of national pride and a show of intelligence, as to keep the people determined. A cure will be found soon, along with a vaccine, and the greatest country of them all shall be the one to find it.
•Taking advantage of the American depression, the Pra'araziaydınız are able to seize large swathes of the global economy, the state capitalism employed by the nation making it rather easy to invest overseas, without the need of companies to do so for the country. Still, the switch to a more laissez faires economy is on the way, however it will remain delayed for as long as this American depression lasts, as the Imparatorluğu looks to grab as much empty market space as possible, to further enrich itself. It may seem like a horrid move in the short term... but the long term benefits will make her into a superpower.
•Development of a full-fledged nuclear program has begun, using the Atacama desert in the deep south as a testing ground, to further deter the Americans, and bring the Imparatorluğu up to proper standards as a world power which swung around a lot of weight in its words, and a lot of bite rather than bark when ignored.
•In even more efforts to increase the population by 2% each year, the enlightened empire has drastically heightened taxes on people who are without children, whilst lowering it greatly upon those who must care for large families. A family of around five children is ideal to the government, for it now can feed each and every person in the country, as rivers run through the country like they do in France now, thanks to awesome agricultural progress, and the taming of the forests by cutting back at them around southern Venezuela, Colombia and inner Peru have opened up even more farmland, just waiting to be populated, and for new cities to be erected.

With the outbreak of the superbug, Japan had increased GMOs and decreased Organic food production to help protect food from the disease, all produce had to meat high safety standards and go through a well performed sterilization process (which was usually already performed but now a government supervisor had to be there), this caused food prices to rise, so for low income families a food bank was created by the government for the time being. Students were also required to stay up to date on their shots to keep attending public school. Farms like the one shown above were heavily monitored. Urban farming had become a huge hit in the mid 2020s since it was closer and fresher than transporting it from the country side, which wasn't great for Japan since that meant food didn't have much time to get infected. Meat and Dairy had become very expensive since strict regulations were now being held on all transport and storage of the items which was already expensive beforehand. Many government workers are bent on finding a cure for the superbug, but only time will tell if it will be successful.

Since the Nationalist uprisings the political superiority swirly switched from the Right Wing to the left wing. At first the Left Wing was working well and switching a lot of policies to more left wing policies, however, soon a disagreement rose causing a schism, one side called the Nationalists wanted to continue the nationalist trend under a left wing government, while the other called the Moderates wanted a more peaceful Japan like one back in the early 2000s. This gap allowed for the right wing to take back some power, and convince the new Empress to be a conservative just like her father and grand father. The right wings factions purged themselves of any remaining extremists making them all the more trustworthy as they finish preparations to begin a slow climb back to the top. However, today like any other day is dominated by the constant bickering between the two left wing factions while the right wing politicians sit back a laugh.

"You will make a mockery of the state and the Empress, the old emperor left a strong legacy and you want to tear that down, you moderates are imbisules!"
"No, it is you Extremists who will bring the country down with your endless war."
"We are trying to bring Japan back to the glory days not a global war, it was a world war that ended us...."
In the back of the room some right wing politicians from the Japan First party sat back and chuckled. One of them, Shinzo Genji, was the son of the former right wing politician Shinzo Abe. He spoke to his friends "they are idiots, they have the option to completely dominate the political state of Japan and yet they fight amongst themselves. They were clearly not prepared for such a leap in power. They will crumble like an old statue. Haha!" Suddenly a timer went off on his watch, "well time to go" he said, the group slipped out of the room unnoticed as the argument between the two left wing politicians continued.
They went to a back room of the Diet where they sat around a table, several other right wing politicians jumbled in after them. They were the leaders of the major right wing factions. They all stared at each other for a second before Shinzo began to speak. "So today was the usual in the Diet, petty arguments between liberal politicians. Hopefully you've been complete in general your tasks, the quicker we begin to win these local elections and regain our credibility, the quicker we can gain back our power. So.... Genpei have you gotten what I asked yesterday?"
"Yes its all filled out." replied a tall skinny man with black hair, and a short beard.
"Good." Shinzo opened a brief case and pulled out a stack of papers "so let's start with the first action today....."

Imperial Palace, Tokyo, Japan

Lower Middle Class Street, East Tokyo

The Empress sat down, she stared at her advisors. They all took quick peaks at her before cowering back to looking at there papers. Silence wasn't usually a good thing, that had become well known among the Ministers. They waited for her to speak, beads of sweat dripped into their eyes. Flies could be heard whizzing around. The creak of someone shifting around impatiently in their chair. "Are the reports finished?" She asked sternly. They all let out a sigh of relief, this was one of those lucky times, just a quick break for her to think.
"Uh, yes" replied the Minister of war. He touched some buttons on the screen implanted in the desk. Within seconds a report and several graphs appeared on everyone else's screens. They all stared down, skimming the first couple of paragraphs.
"As you can see the entire military is doing fine. The navy has been showing steady growth over the past several years, with the completion of a new set of destroyers finished several months ago we have been able to meet the demand. Our projects to semi automize most of the army and navy are almost complete, and over half of the nursing and medical corps is made up of the Honda GM-1611 Medical Robot A, B, C, and D variants. We have also finished installing auto loaders into our tanks and armored vehicles which has spread the process of loading a gun up by nearly ten percent, a great increase in our technology. However, our Type 22 Tanks are nearing the end of their career and Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Kawasaki all have replacement designs and prototypes in their testing stages, we can schedule a meeting if you'd like. The new Kawasaki Motorcycles and Attack pods (which is a sidecar and motorcycle with either a piece of infantry artillery or a medium machine gun) are fairing very well with the new troops."
"This is great." Said the Empress. She stared at another Minister, who understood the que and nervously began his speech. He tapped a couple of buttons on his screen before new images began flashing up on every ones screen.
"Our responses to the superbug have begun, we have yet to see if they will actually work as the programs have only started a couple months ago but with in the near future we should have the first results back from this. If you'd direct your attention to the photos on the side bars you can see pictures of our inspectors inspecting farms and Somme children getting their T-DAP vaccinations, any vaccinations can help the immune system fight off the superbug which is why we are working very hard to make sure everyone has access to these vaccines. If you direct your attention the these images at the bottom of the screen you can see some of the inspected and clean food being distributed among people at a homeless shelter."
"Great." Said the Empress as another wave of silence washed over the room.

Conference of Ulaanbaatar; Mongolia votes to join Zhongjiang

The Conference of Ulaanbaatar was held two months ago, on the topic of Mongolia joining Zhongjiang as a semi-autonomous state. The people of Mongolia were, as expected, highly reluctant. Polls shown before the election had shown that it would be close, but it was believed that independence would win. However, in an unexpected twist, Mongolia voted to join Zhongjiang. Many who radically supported independence are chalking it up to electoral interference from Russia or Zhongjiang itself, but annexation is to begin regardless.

American Economic Collapse of 2054

The inevitable day finally arrived this morning, Black Thursday swept the market in a storm. Stocks plummeted and banks were filled with angry citizens trying to pull their deposits. The shock wave began in New York, and is quickly spreading around the globe. Nations which have taken pre-emptive action to distance themselves from the United States currency have been less affected, but the collapse of the stock market has hit every nation which is active in the global market.

Future of the EAL uncertain

The merger of Japan and Korea has sewed seeds of uncertainty in the EAL. The various other member nations have voiced their concerns that the EAL was not an alliance to secure democratic nations in East Asia, but to expand the sphere of Japan's influence. Most vocal about this has been the Philippines, Japan's closest ally, who has already begun naval exercises around Luzon.

Malay Confederacy and Oceanic Federation invade New Guinea

After months of escalated tensions between the Malay Confederacy and New Guinea, it came to a head this morning. Malay Soldiers stormed the beaches of Sorong without issuing an official declaration of war. New Guinea soldiers fought back, but they could not hold the city for long. The United Oceanic Federation entered into the war as well, agreeing to the partitioning of New Guinea. This was, allegedly, to protect citizens and to limit the extend of the Malay Confederacy. However, many criticize this as another unjustified invasion.

Kin Min Unpopular, Guomin disbanded

Recent proposals from Kin Min were highly unpopular and, according to some, spending unnecessary money. After the beginning of the reconstruction of Shanghai which was estimated to cost upward of 1 Trillion USD, the woes of the citizens mounted. Over the last few months, a far-right ultra-nationalist group named Guomin began to gain popularity in the nation. Last night, Kim Min and the rest of the Council, believed to be threatened by this new party, banned the party and arrested members.

Slavic Empire retreats from Georgia

A large-scale Russian assault on the last remaining rebel Georgian holdings caused the Slavic expeditionary forces to retreat, taking the government of the rebels back to the Empire with them. With that, the Georgian civil war met a brutal end, and Russia has seemingly secured dominance in the Caucus.

Denmark votes to join

Yesterday, referendums were held in Denmark about joining the Gothenberg Confederation. The referendum succeeded by a large margin, and they are expected to be annexed as a semi-autonomous nation within the GC. The Icelandic vote, scheduled in six more months, has been heavily influenced by this vote. Meanwhile, the Northern Empire has been influencing them to leave the sphere of Europe.

Anatolians invade Armenia

It seems that Anatolia is down the path of the Ottoman Empire, evident by the invasion of Armenia. Anatolian soldiers crossed over the border during the night, led on by light air support. The Armenian government has reached out to the Slavic Empire, but no response has been issued yet. Gyurmi fell in the earlier days of the war, and they continue to advance steadily.

Quebecois pushed North

The Quebec insurgency in the Northern Empire faced large losses in the South, hardly holding onto Quebec City. Although the insurgents have comparable numbers, the Northern soldiers are superior both in training and in equipment. Guerrilla warfare has begun to be used on the Northern Empire, but as the Canadian summer nears it is expected that this move will be null at best.

Botswana joins CLONE

Fearful of the violence of the Aganju Regime, Botswana announced this morning that they will be fully cooperating with CLONE and will join their alliance. Military operations have already begun between Namibia and Botswana, to prepare for any hostilities from the Regime. Dictator Ojifor has not made an official response on the situation, but it is believed the possibility of Aganju expansion has been isolated.

Zhongjiang falls into disarray

Not long after the purge of Guomin members began, revolutions took over the streets of Zhongjiang. In one day, millions of citizens took to the streets all over China. Uncontrolled riots have filled the streets with no sign of stopping. Chinese police and paramilitary forces have been completely unable to hold back the mobs, the situation made more dire by many of them joining the protesters. The Zhong military has been mobilized, called from training camps in the Gobi Desert to fight this insurrection. Mongolia, being a state that has only just been annexed, has already begun to seek a way from their treaty with Zhongjiang. Several smaller regions have broken away, in attempts to form their own republics. It is believed that Chancellor Kim Min and the Council are leaving to a small island in the South China Sea, where they will continue to administrate. The construction of Shanghai has been officially cancelled, but it is not enough to stop what has started.

Electoral Gridlock in Brazil

The elections in Brazil slowed to a grinding halt, most parties presented were vastly unpopular with the people. The further Brazil delves into instability, the more radical the people have gone. Anarchism and Monarchism have appealed to a large percentage of the population. Electoral booths have been sabotaged, and violence is rampant against those voting.

Růžena Řezáčová for Slavic Empire

After a year filled with debates and speeches, Růžena Řezáčová of the NSSN has just been announced as the victor of the elections, one nearly close enough to call a recount. By many in her nation, she is considered nationalistic and passionate, but by others she is considered fascist and cruel. The Slavic Parliament is shown to have the SDZ as the majority party, and many expect this to balance with Řezáčová's admittedly impulsive personality.

Cairo for 2056 Olympics

The Olympic Committee, after a fierce debate on where to have the Olympics, has settled on Cairo as the ideal location. Last time the nation made a bid was in 2032, which fell through when the Olympics were hosted in Shanghai. The North African Federation has already begun preparations to ready the city for the upcoming Olympics.

Victorian Federation formed

After months of fierce debates and voting, the Victorian Federation was officially formed between Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi. The votes were very close in all these nations except for Tanzania, which won by a landslide. Many chalk the victory of the Federation in Rwanda as electoral influence from neighboring countries, but these claims are adamantly denied. Uganda unsurprisingly refused to hold an election, continuing to embrace the isolation they have held onto for a decade. The capital of the Federation will be in Nairobi, all legislatures from the various nations will act as the sole power of the nation until elections are finished later this year.

Kim Min assassinated; Xia Rougang claims power

While Kim Min and the Council had retreated to a military base in the South China Sea, the situation on the homeland had gotten worse. Several provinces had attempted to join their neighbors in the Thaios, Himalaya, and Korea. Remnants from Communist China had gone public again, pulling only more people away from the Zhongjiang government. Things had seemed to escalate to unsustainable levels, and collapse seemed imminent.

This morning, however, Chancellor Kim Min and the entire Council were assassinated. A large minority of the military base is believed to have had leanings towards the former Guomin, and stormed the keep where the Council and Chancellor were being kept. General Rougang, one of the highest military officials in Zhongjiang, was responsible for the movement. Loyalist soldiers refrained from charging the keep, while they had superior numbers, the Guomin soldiers had unknown positions and had heavily fortified beforehand. The execution of the Council was slow, they were each brought into a large room at the back of the keep in groups of ten and were executed. The execution was live, and was being broadcast across the country from a location in XInjiang. Kim Min was the final person to be assassinated, and he was executed by Xia Rougang herself. Claiming China by right of conquest, Xia returned and was met in open arms by ultra-nationalists. China still remains broken, shattered, but Chancellor Rougang promises to ensure domestic peace and a foreign projection of power. Soldiers which have swore their allegiance to Xia have entered into rebel territory and are ruthlessly putting down opposition.

Anarchism spreads to Gold Coast League

The GCL, a nation forged out of war and fear of the UAF, has recently collapsed to anarchism. Sentiments had grown too high, and most of their nation was out of their control before the collapse. Anarchist mobs plunged into the capital and sent it into chaos. By the end, the Council building was burned and the members were killed. Military had attempted to hold control, but they were too under equipped and currently only hold Bissau and the surrounding area.

Ataxia Cured

After several years of the brutality of this bacterium, and 27 million lost lives globally, the Superbug Initiative announced this morning about the creation of a cure. The organization as a whole has been nominated for the 2054 Nobel Prize for their efforts, and the cure is being distributed on a mass-scale. Ataxia has been the 4th most deadly plague in history, and it is sure to leave a mark in the years to come.

SIno-Russo Pact; Russia agrees to cooperate with Pramilandert

With the rise of Xia Rougang, the future of the Titanium Pact was uncertain. Xia had expressed distrust of foreign powers in the past, and she feared the threat that Russia posed if they switched sides. These concerns all fell off of the table at the signing of the Sino-Russo Pact, which further evolved the Titanium Pact and guaranteed international cooperation between the two. Following this, Russia agreed to cooperate with a surprising nation: Pramilandert, who they had just been at war with. This is believed to have been pulled on by talks between the two, but nothing has gone public yet.

Kosovo under occupation

Soldiers from the Yugoslav Catsvo have, after a year of brutal and bloody war, reached full occupation of Kosovo. However, their economy is currently crippled by the Albanians, who hold the coast of Montenegro. Supplies have been blocked by the Balkan League, and the Cartsvo is facing massive economic turmoil. Nations from the Balkan League have proposed a white peace, but the Cartsvo has refused to fold.

Uzbekistan refuses to conference

The Uzbekistan government has gone public refusing to hold a conference with the Persian government for annexation. This was reportedly done after a large-scale poll conducted showed the Uzbek people preferred independent. The Uzbek government has gone on record stating that ties but not annexation into Persia would be preferred.

Zalelew Melaku installed as East African President

President Melaku has been announced as the new East African President. He was installed directly by the legislature to act as the head of state until the next election. He is largely unpopular, being a non-democratic executive with a impulsive and short-sighted cabinet. Peaceful protests were held in Addis Ababa, but nothing which held a threat to domestic peace.

China agrees to cooperate with Pramilandert; Military buildup

Xia Rougang has announced plans to increase relations with Pramilandert, which have worsened over the past few years. Complete cooperation between the two nations would be their goal, in an effort to defend against the aggressive actions from rival nations. This request soon following the large-scale military buildup put into place by Xia, which has never been seen on such a scale in the history of China, many believe they are preparing for a World War.

Conference of Malé scheduled

The Maldive government went public this morning agreeing to a conference with the Confederacy of the Raj about annexation. The Maldives are not expected to last more than ten years, rising sea levels have covered over half of the islands and threaten to destroy the rest. The people have had immensely positive reactions to this announcement, provided that this deal would pay for relocation.

Birth of the South Asian Cooperative

The SAC was just announced this afternoon as a regional alliance between Cambodia and the Confederacy of the Raj. Many experts believe it is a clear act of isolating the GDC and creating a regional rival which nations unfriendly to China will flock to. Xia Rougang has gone public claiming this as a threat to regional stability, but the Confederacy has not issued a public response. Many are afraid that this will spiral into another large war.

Emperess Jael-Maria Gutiérrez, otherwise known as Jael I, stood in front of the Imperial Congress looking at her subjects, her fellow Mexicans, as she prepared to set forth her address to the populace which would inform her Empire and the world of the nature and ideological tone of her regime. This was her first public appearance since taking the throne.

"Good morning, my follow Mexicans. As you know, I am Jaèl-Maria Gutiérrez your new ruler. However, I am not merely your ruler, I seek to also be your foremost servant and advocate in this world. This world of ours rife with chaos and cruelty, nations running rampant on savage ventures of conquest. We here in Mexico know this reality, this truth, all too well. Our dear and beautiful nation being overran by the likes of the gringos up north, used as a battleground by Fidel for his grotesque pseudo-religious philosophy, and by my father for his own ill-guided revaunchist madness. I believe you will agree that I speak for us all when I say, "NO MORE!!!".

I, as your Empress, will do everything in my power to ensure that Mexico is never again made the playground for foreigners or for corrupt internal threats to sap the wealth of and peace of mind of our people ever again. As my first set of Imperial Decrees, which will be effective immediately or as soon as possible;

*The Federal Empire of Mexico will withdrawal from any and all military pacts and/or treaties
* All agreements and obligations between the Federal Empire of Mexico and the Pramilandert Empire concerning the Panama Canal will be honored
* As a show of good will, the Mexican Empire will withdrawal military personnel on both the border with the United States and Pramilandert to 50 miles from mutual boundaries.
*The States of Nicaragua and Costa Rica are free to secede from the Empire and are to be recognized as soverign nations, with their independence and territorial integrity guaranteed by the Mexican Empire.
*All states of the Empire will be granted autonomy, in line with traditional federalism of our nation."

As Jaèl finished up her dictation of decrees, a pair of men wearing black suits and shades came in dragging a man along with them, who they forced on his knees before the Empress, after which they stood....one on each side of her.

" This man is my father, who now is before the entire Mexican nation, and the world. He stands accused of treason against the people of Mexico for his disregard for the safety and order of the state, and illegally claiming the sovereign territory of a legitimate government, the United States of America. You have been found guilty."

The black suited man on her right handed Jaèl a pistol, which she proceeded to point at the back of her fathers head.

"May God have mercy upon your soul."

*BANG*

A loud shot echoed about the Congress walls as the Empress pulled the trigger slattering the old Emperor's brains all over the floor.

" You see, my dear fellow citizens, I have only two loyalties; to our Lord Jesus Christ and to México. As for "family" that is you, anyone that threatens or betrays this family, I have no love for."

The former Emperor's semi-headless body still sat upright on its knees somehow, this annoyed the new monarch, so she gently shoved it over, her eyes overflowing with disgust as she looked at the corpse.

"Men, would you kindly remove that from my sight?", she nonchalantly demanded as she handed the pistol back to her men. She heard the Congress erupt in cheer and clapping.

She simply smiled as she basked in the adoration of the legislature, "This, I think, will be the greatest Mexican state to ever exist. I will give my people the life they deserve.....whatever it takes....whatever it takes", she thought to herself.

Varšava, Northern Slavic Empire - January 12th 2054, 12:00

The electoral ballots had been closed for days already, and the results had been known for around a week now. Yet, the Prime Minister-elect Růžena Řezáčová had had to face a few problems in selecting the Ministers of her government, and so the date of inauguration had been postponed again and again and again. Finally, however, the NSSN and SDZ parties had found the way to divide the various Ministries between themselves, and Růžena's proposed government had been given the green light by the two parties, just for it to be later approved by the Emperor as well.

So now, in a cold day of January, when most of the people were either home, at school, or at work, the PM-elect was about to be sworn in and to give her inaugural speech. It had been a fantastic year for her: a year full of emotions, with passions, with opportunities to learn new skills and with the possibility to do something she had never done before in her life.
Standing on the extremely high podium which had been built ad-hoc, Růžena could see the faces of all the people who had come to the Imperial Residence to see her and to listen to her speech: a vast multitude, enormous in its size and faithful in its passionate belief in Růžena's preachings and ideas. All of them wanted her, and all of them had gotten what they had desired.

She was finally sworn in, and the crowd's joy erupted in a cheer of jubilee. If any spectator of the inauguration has been asked what they expected from this new Prime Minister, the person would have answered that she would eliminate corruption, that she would defend the borders, that she would make the country prosperous once again, and so on. After all, those were the campaign promises she had made.

All of a sudden, however, silence took over cheerfulness amongst the crowd: their new PM was calling them to listen to her words, for one, final time before she officially took office.
As soon as the crowd had gone silent, Růžena started to speak.

"Brothers and sisters, the People have spoken. We have chosen. We, the People of this glorious Country of ours, have taken an irrevocable decision that will shape our fate.

"The question We the People were faced with wasn't the usual electoral question. This time around, the People didn't have to choose between the usual, incompetent politicians, who talked much and did little, in order to serve the interests of their own and of their cronies only. It wasn't like the elections of the last twenty years. This time around, the choice We the People were faced with was one between the love for our Nation and the love for other Nations at the cost of disregarding our one; it was a choice between embracing our culture possibly resulting in others having to partly abandon theirs, and embracing other cultures while partly or completely abandoning ours; it was a choice between putting our future and that of our children first, and putting that of others first; it was a choice between granting our People a prosperous life, or bringing it to its knees by granting such well-being to others.

"And as I have already said: the People have spoken.

"We the People have spoken for a strong, proud, and prosperous country, free from the current corruption of values that has pervaded many aspects and sectors of our Society, and of our Legislative process.
The well-being of the Country and the Nation is not the priority anymore, and it hasn't been for many years past.
I and my cabinet, in the name of Us the People, are going to make that the priority once again. Once and for all, corruption will be dealt with; once and for all, our Pride will be restored; once and for all, we will be able to dream for a prosperous and good future for our children.
In doing that, we will keep in mind that all of those who embrace our values, who admire our culture, and who love our Motherland, regardless of the place they were born in, are by all means equal to those of us who were born and lived here for their whole lives. Those people contribute to our Nation, of which they can, in fact, be considered part, and shall not be forgotten: all of them, together with the rest of Us, has been forgotten by politicians for years, and that needs to stop. So either if you're fair-haired, have light-coloured eyes, and a pale skin colour or you have dark hair, eyes, and skin, it doesn't matter: we are all living under the same sky, serving the same Country, and working for the Nation to flourish, regardless of our physical appearances.

"We have won many times in the past, and it's time to start doing so once again. To do that, our knowledge of our own History is vital. Once we will all remember together the deaths of the Warsaw Uprising, the deaths of the Holodomor, the deaths of the Decembrist revolt, and the deaths and deeds our grand people was responsible for in so many moments in the history of humankind, then and just then we will be able to regain the character of our ancestors, which was lost many years ago. A character forged in our ancient past; one which was hammered in many battles, and still stood strong, even stronger than before; one which was hardened and refined by the many hardships we faced, and yet again emerged stronger than ever before, each and all times; one character, which led Us, the Slavic People, to be a beacon of liberties and freedoms in a Europe dominated by absolutism; a character which helped forge our hard willingness to work hard. A character to be proud of.
Yet this character has been put to chains by political correctness. It will change.

"We will be once again the country to be looked at as a paragon of virtue, morality, development, and freedom by our fellow Europeans.
Once again, the Nation as a whole will shine, in spite of our difficulties, and in spite of the many challenges we will have to face to achieve this.
One day in the future, those who today are our children and grandchildren will look back at this moment in history, and judge us by what we have done. I ask you how do you want to be judged. Do you want to be judged as people who were incapable to see what the Country was doing to fix the problems affecting it? Or would you rather be judged as those who trusted the one government which, first in years, was finally trying to improve the Country? I am sure to know what your answer to this question would be.
One day in the future, those same people will be living in a world which will be shaped by the decisions we made. By the decisions we will make here and now. I want to ensure my children and future grandchildren a prosperous future, one where they would be proud to live. And I want to be sure, that they know it was Us the People, who were responsible for the crafting of the time they will be living in.
And again, one day in the future, they will look upon Us, and feel either proud or ashamed, of having had Us as their parents and grandparents.

"We stand today at a crossroads in History: either we win, or we fail. And failing is not an option. Whenever we debate about the future of the Country, my mind goes to the thousands of unemployed people, it goes to the tens of thousands of soldiers in our Armed Forces who feel neglected, and it goes to the many, many thousands of people in our Country who struggle to reach the end of the month with the current minimum wage. My mind goes to our Liberties and Freedoms, which are and by right ought to be undeniable and irrevocable. However, in the name of political correctness, we have seen these freedoms of ours be diminished: in order to "protect" ethnical minorities, in order to provide women, unluckily including myself, with "safe spaces", and to defend the myth of the wonderfulness of Internationalism, Multi-Culturalism, Melting-pot cultures, and so-called "inclusiveness", our freedom of speech, of the press, and, to some extent, of thought, has been severely damaged by laws all around the globe. Luckily for us, the case was not nearly as bad in the Empire, but an alarm has sounded, and we shall not ignore it: our liberties might soon be questioned in their very principles if this trend continues. It must be stopped. We must ensure that Our People's liberties and freedoms are not touched by any cliqué whatsoever.

Secondly, I'd like to provide You with more information regarding the Iron Dome program and the cost of the installation of the said program in the areas specified by You in Your latest missive to my predecessor.
Installing the Iron Dome Missile Defence System in the necessary positions to cover the cities of New Persepolis, Isfahan, Damascus, Islamabad, Karachi, Kabul, Ashgabat, Baghdad, and Tehran will cost You the equivalent of 2,4 Billion USD. That is, due to the cost of around 60 Million USD for each single Battery (comprising of a radar vehicle, a missile control system vehicle, and three missile launchers with 30 missiles each), the total cost for the installation of four Batteries for each city. Furthermore, the necessary infrastructure, which we suggest be built in a cooperation between firms from the Empire and from Your Country, will result in a further 1,1 Billion USD of cost.
In order to install the Iron Dome MDS along the border, there would be a further cost of 8,16 Billion USD for the Batteries only and 3,74 Billion USD for the necessary infrastructure.
In total, the cost of the Iron Dome program for your Country would be of around 15,4 Billion USD.

I write to You in order to bring to Your attention a possible solution to the current crisis in Armenia: withdrawal.

We propose You to withdraw Your forces from the Country and sign a white peace. We, as we currently hold influence over the Armenian government, will lobby for Your interests as well as for ours, and we are willing to cede part of our influence over Armenia to the Sultanate of Anatolia if You wish so.

If You wish for territorial expansion, we will happily turn a blind eye in the event of an Anatolian invasion of Greece, so far as some of the territories in the West will be ceded to the Jugoslav Carstvo and that Anatolia will support the Jugoslav Carstvo in its struggle against Albania and the Balkan Initiative.

Such organization would take the name of Praha Economic Cooperation Organization, and membership would mean entering a completely Free Trade Zone with no tariffs; in other words: the Praha Economic Cooperation Organization would be a customs union.

January 30th , 2054 - Northern Tunisian Border

As the night sky was filled with fireworks, blatant car honking and cheers in celebration for the foundation of the Realm, the guarded border was silent as ever. Two groups of elite Stagen agents, dressed in civilian clothes are on a operation to enter it. One will bypass the fence and go along the forest towards Tunis, while the other will pose as tourists will land in Tripoli and possibly even Cairo.

Their purpose is to infiltrate the country for enemy military movements and possibly sabotage strategic locations as well. Armed with forged passports and documents, as well as laser listening devices, and encrypted laptops filled with apps and goodies to tap into phones and communications equipment.

With the scare of the NAF DDS swelling, and their military exercises, as much information as possible needs to be gathered to assess the threat. As the Party Director quoted during his meeting with his ministers:

“Being underestimated is one of our biggest advantages, let us embrace it and show what we Algerians can do.”

January 31st , 2054 - Algiers

In the military situation room located within the HQ of the Armed Forces in the central part of the city, By the personal order of Azzam Tarik, the General Staff is about to discuss one important issue regarding 3,350 km worth of land and sea, in a hypothetical situation against three important players.

The North Africans, United Europeans and the Slavs.

By joining the RCZ, a literal trident is now pointed directly at them, with Algeria’s lacklustre naval and minimal air defenses, and with world tension steadily rising up, they will have to come up with a decision, and fast.

The room was simple, yet sleek and modern, with modern A/C systems surrounded by thick one-way windows and armored bulky doors that could withstand anything the enemy could throw its way.
The staff, dressed in their olive officer uniforms was lined with medals demonstrating their administrative and military prowess as they stood over tables displaying digital maps, individual divisions and air wings marked with NATO symbols.

Once the meeting commenced it lasted days, and with some feedback from a Military Inspectorate, the high-ranking generals and marshals have concluded and agreed that the Armed Forces of Algeria, at this time is not capable of defending the Realm unless they modernize their air, navy, mechanized and armored components, citing that the country will fall ‘on itself or by a swift invasion similar to Iraq’ if no action will be taken to solve these problems.

This report was top secret and confidential, encrypted and ciphered to the highest tiers and sent to the Parliament to debate on this shocking revelation, before sending it to the Party Director for his final say.
And following the Parliament’s and the Cheif of Staff’s recommendations within the report, Azzam Tarik has approved the increase of budget of the military to further expand on military modernization and build-up.

February 1st , 2054 - Dakhla

Cheers from the soldiers reached across the city as they paraded through the main street, goose-stepping their way to the city centre. At that same location, the representatives of the little state fearfully looked at the treaty handed over by the stiff-looking diplomats.

Treaty of Dakhla

I. The nation of Sahwari will be formally annexed into the Realm of Algeria.

II. They will form the Autonomous Republic of Sahwari, a framework of domestic
authority will be established. The economic policy will be structured around their customary and local sensitivity.

III. The citizens of the Sahwari state are now citizens of the Realm, their freedoms and rights are guaranteed by the constitution. This section can only be revoked by both the vote of the Parliament and the Party Director himself.

IV. The military of Sahwari will be disarmed, but former soldiers will form the 17th Corps d'Infanterie numbering 30-45,000 men and women, they will be equipped with the latest equipment available to the Army. The armored component of the military will be reformed to the 20th and 21st Division des Fusils Blindés, replacing their old T-62 and T-55’s with the more modern ones available.

V. The airforce of Sahwari will form the 8ème Aile Aérienne consisting of the old jets that they have available. They will be repurposed as a training/reserve unit until they receive newer units.
Some auxiliary personnel will form the 1ère Brigade de Chasseurs de Parachutisme numbering a bare minimum of 3,500 men and women.

February 1st , 2054 - Algiers

The concern over the new canal was raised both by the Nador provincial government and the citizens, divided between settling their new life as citizens of Pra'arazia or relocate to another settlement, and this was brought upon the state officials with protesting and petitions.

To the verdict of the state, the residents living within the boundary are offered compensation and aid to pay back the cost to relocating to another settlement, or the major cities in the area.
This was met with discontent, but with the immense financial gain and possibly a better job by settling in the city, dissent quickly vanished.

However, on the Tibouda peninsula, residents are relieved as they are reassured that only a kilometer deep was made specifically for the canal, and only a few families would need to settle further north to continue their daily activities and livelihood.

In order to strengthen defenses in response to the report given by the Inspectorate, the military has undergone construction of a radar base with a range of 500km on one of the port towns near the border with the NAF, expected to be finished by 2056. Once it is finished, it could cover the whole airspace of Tunisia, as well as a significant gap on Libya itself.

Investment has been made towards installation security, from now on, factories producing strategic goods or equipment to airbases, strategic locations and bases will be protected by a battalion of troops equipped for close-quarters combat in addition to a platoon of APCs and another specialized battalion of SAMs meant for deterring against strategic bombing.

In total, over 20,000 soldiers will be raised for this task, and will treated as an independent entity called “Garrison Command” to administer and adapt to different conditions and situations to areas under their jurisdiction.

Danva Plan - (21.5% ) - Progress has finally broke through into Morroco, with its border villages being connected to modernized rural infrastructure and services. Some projects of the Danva Plan producing ‘strategic resources’ are required to be installed with installation security and anti-aircraft defense.

Elkbeir Plan - (11%) - New service rifle, uniform, and soon armored tank will be available to the Army. Concerns over the Airforce and Navy will be addressed for the next decade. Progress has been slow due to most of the budget geared towards recovering and modernizing the economy and services.

CEIA-18 Prototype - (10%) - Currently testing alternatives for armament, such as a 125mm, 130mm or even a 140mm 55 caliber gun. They are also seeing if their engine can take the intense desert and urban environment of Algeria.

ARGUS System - (20%) - The individual rifle itself is already created, however intense stress-testing on the product has not been done. Dust, water, tar and oil will be poured on the rifle and an attempt to fire and reload it, failure will result in delays due to redesigning.

Since we only committed a small portion of our army the withdraw will be quick and the preparations for our Balkan intervention will be prepared within the next few days. We will be working in concert with the Navy during the invasion of Greece and with close air support. For Bulgaria and Macedonia, they will either become our satellites willingly or we will invade them and replace their governments forcefully. We will also be supporting the Jugoslavs against Albania and act as a sort of support. Alright dismissed." As the chiefs of staff filed out Horatius left for his room to change into more formal attire. He had a rally to attend.

"The recent developments in China are..... disturbing, to say the least." As the Chief of Staff finished the head of treasury spoke up. " disturbing? DISTURBING?! Our largest ally just imploded on themselves. They are in complete anarchy! If this isn't a disaster I don't know what is. " The Grand Vizier spoke, " You forget that we have the Persians to our South who are helping us with our invasion." The economic minister reclined into his seat as the Vizier continued " This is troubling indeed but it is not something we can not handle. We must be prepared for a Slavic intervention in Armenia." The Chief of military shared a glance with the Jannisary commander. Apparently, these incompetent buffoons could not even sort through their messages correctly. "The Slavs have already been contacted about not intervening in Armenia in exchange for our help in the Balkans Vizier and our withdrawal from Armenia." The Vizier slammed his fist on the table " And you two did this!! Without my permission!!!! I could have you shot!." The Jannisary commander unholstered his pistol and pointed it at the Vizier " Careful there Kemal. Need we remind you who the real power behind your little regime is. Without me and Jacal here you would not even be sitting where you are today. The only reason you are in charge right now is that the Sultan named you his Vizier. Should the people start to disagree with you..... Watch yourself." As he finished he reholstered his pistol before sitting down. The Grand Vizier fumed before storming out of the room. He turned and looked to the Command and Chief and to the Economic minister as the rest of the council had filed out of the room. " The man is insufferable. I will be glad to have the firing squad aim at him one day." "Patience Jacal,. " All three thought of the leader of their little scheme. "The Persians have agreed to support us or at the very least not intervene when we assume control. We should start preparing troops for our invasion of Greece and intervention in the Balkans.As long as our os so glorious Vizier doesn't veto it. Rally for the Turkish Workers Party, Istanbul 23:00 March 28th, 2054

In a rented out stadium in Istanbul, the leader of the Ulusal Sosyalist İşçi Sendikası, or Turkish Workers party was speaking. The rally had near 20,000 actual attendees with more listening in on a live stream and podcast. With all of those listeners combined, it seemed to be a good portion of the country was listening to one man. Demir Sadik was the leader and founder of the Turkish Workers party. He was holding a rally to speak about the current situation the Turkish people were facing. As the last of the guests filed in, containing most high-ranking military officials, the announcer began.
Ladies and Gentlemen, would you please welcome party leader and founder, Demir Sadik As the announcer finished a round of clapping broke out as Demir walked onto the stage. "My fellow Turks, my fellow workers. I would like to begin tonight by addressing a very large issue that now faces the Turkish people. As many of you, no doubt know our once great nation has hit an economic downturn as of late. The Capitalistic system which has been implemented by the one who calls himself the leader of the Turkish people has failed. This country's economy is spiraling downwards, many factories are laying off workers, and the government does nothing to help the factory worker who cannot afford a house for his family, the farmer who cannot feed his children or the soldier who is too poor to afford his hospital bills. All these people abandoned by our leader and taken advantage of by the corporations. The people call out for justice but are oppressed. I stand before you as a man who owns no inheritance, who holds no stock, owns no bank account, I do not draw any dividend from any corporation and I say enough is enough. Our Party was founded on the basis that the Turkish people will not suffer at the hands of corruption again! The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them in parliament but no longer shall this be the case. I believe in one thing only, the power of human will and we will harness the will and spirit of the Turkish people together to take back this country for those who run it and for those who it belongs to!" His last sentence is met with an outstanding roar of approval from the crowd. Cheering and flag-waving abounded as the people were worked up into a patriotic fervor. We shall triumph!" As he finished he raised his arm in a fist, the crowd mimicking his move, one voice became many and a chant spread through the crowd " Long Live Turkey! Long Live the Turks!"

Grand Viziers Chamber, Ankara Turkey 23:54 March 28t, 2054
The Grand Vizier signed the last of the documents that would start the process of remodeling his home. The funds were being drawn from the welfare budget but who actually cared about those people anyway? As leader of this country, he deserved to live life to its fullest. As he put the documents away in his drawer he stepped onto the Balcony and looked over the city of Ankara from what had once been the Sultans Palace. All of this he mused to himself, belonged to him. As he stood there gazing upon the capital of the Turkish people and prepared to walk to his bed where a.... exotic dancer was waiting for him, his two Jannisary guards burst in along with a man he did not recognize. "What is the meaning of this you Imbeciles! Can't you see I'm busy?!!" "Grand Vizier Kemal you are hereby placed under arrest for corruption and crimes against the Turkish people as well as the poisoning of the Sultan." the unknown man said as he raised a pistol and the Jannisaries raised their rifles at the Viziers' chest. "I... I I surrender. Place me under arrest." The man smiled " Ah but Vizier you see the punishment for these crimes as stated in your own laws you passed are death." The Vizier paled as he started begging or mercy "Please no! All I did was for the people of our great nation!" At this one of the Jannisaires became enraged as he shot the Vizier in the hand. The Vizier cried out in pain as he clutched what remained of his hand. The man picked up the Vizier and placed him near the edge of the balcony " For crimes against the Turkish people and for acts of corruption I do sentence you to death. Jannisary if you would do the honors." The Jannisary raised his rifle before replying " Gladly" He let loose a hail of bullets into the Viziers form each one ripping through his form as he tumbled to the ground below. The man turned to the Jannisaries "The ISI-RD thanks you for your service gentleman. Good day." With a nod, the agent left to report the conclusion of his mission to Mustafa Saddam Hussein.

Greek border with Turkey, 00:00 March 29th, 2054
"Operation Attaturk is a go. All divisions advance!" As the commander finished hundreds of engines roared to life and began traveling down the Greek road, Altay tanks, and APC"S began advancing into the Greek countryside. Tired Greeks stumbled to their windows to see tanks and APC's driving into their town. A few APC's stopped as the rest kept driving and rows and rows of Jannisaries filed out. An officer with a loudspeaker began to speak "People of Graxium please stay within your homes. We do not wish violence on your people. A mandatory lockdown is now in effect! If you require food or medical assistance while the lockdown is in effect, please try and get the attention of a soldier. Do not attempt to leave your house as we will be required to forcefully return you to your home." As Colonel Darius looked at the scared people he hoped they would get the message. His Greek was rusty but he was sure they got the message. The plan was to wage a war of kindness with the people. Civilian casualties were to be avoided at all costs and every step was to be made to ensure the people were complacent. He would, however, have to locate the grocery store and hospital should they actually need something......

"Invasion group North has begun their attack, the paratroopers from the invasion group south are on their way, and the Navy is delivering the portion of the marines as we speak to Crete while the rest will be landing near Athens." Jacal finished his report to the assembled military leaders. Kane looked pleased with himself as did the Grand Admiral of the navy. The air force commander looked skeptical. " How will my boys be getting support?" "They will be linking up with the marines that land near Athens and eventually our army will push across the border and link up with them there. Until then the marines and paratroopers will form a beachhead and be supplied by naval aircraft, naval ships, and helicopter supply lifts." The air force commander looked slightly relieved at this as he reclined in his seat. "The plan does not account for Persian support so should they decide to do so then this will be easier than expected.Good day gentleman" As they left Jacal and Kane sat in silence for a few moments before Kane spoke up. "We've one it." "Yes, yes we have old friend." "So many years of monarchs and Viziers and finally the dream has been realized." "All thanks to Demir" Kane smiled at this " And with a little help from the Persians of course" Jacal nodded of course. They both sat in silent contemplation of what this meant for the future of the country.

(NSE)I fully understand you, Sir. The problem here is that you invaded a country which was meant to be an ally of the Empire, at least de facto. If you don't gain anything from this, you will have troops and resources to engage in war actions with Greece. It is mutually beneficial that you leave Armenia.

(SoA)Troops are already being moved from the Armenian front to the Greek border. The invasion will be going within the next week. But we will need some form of compensation for the fact we are not invading Armenia. At the very least we would require Armenian factories to produce military equipment at a lowered price for our military

The Temporary Seat of Government, the Old Government Building of Nicaragua

Celebrations rocked the streets of Managua, Independence had been won from the foreign occupiers, and the new Mexican government is promising independence. Former government officials of the former semi-independent region of the Pra'araziaydınız Empire meet in the city of Managua to discuss the future of the independent country. While a government is established; a provisional alliance between the new Presidents of Nicaragua and Costa Rica is formed to ensure independence and the rule of law.

Loud arguments can be heard outside of the parliamentary hall, various politicians, activists, and military leaders from around the two countries have gathered here to establish the new government. The prevailing thought being that whoever controls to initial negotiations will control the government. Socialists and other Leftists from around Nicaragua have come in droves, hoping to reestablish the Sandinista Government. Landowners, Capitalists, and Laissez Faire economists from Costa Rica have come to oppose them. The conflicts between the two groups are deep, longstanding, and seemingly irreconcilable. The Provisional Government, for all intensive purposes, is in complete gridlock. Nothing is being done by the rudimentary parliament, and no government is being formed. The task of governing and forming the new government has fallen instead to the dual-presidency of Nicaragua and Costa Rica, both being un-elected but skilled in governing. They tentatively begin to guide the new country into a path, but cautiously refrain from overstepping their perceived boundaries.

In a joint speech addressed to the country by the President of Nicaragua, Antonella Marina Navarro Villa, delivers the speech in Spanish;then in English, "My fellow Nicaraguans, our time is now! The people have won their independence and freedom from the oppressive Mexican Empire! We are independent once more! The People's Revolution is forever! ¡Hasta la Victoria Siempre, Comandantes!" she then outlines a policy plan for the government to immediately implement the highest minimum wage in the Americas, Socialize and reorganize the Medical community in the two countries to prioritize patient care, Nationalization of all Basic Infrastructure, and a Massive Investment into the two countries Infrastructure.

The following speech given by the Costa Rican President, Juan Andrés Quesada, was given in the same manner. It followed a similar outline, but lacked a mention of the People, the Revolution, and refrained from calling the Mexican Empire oppressive. Instead the Costa Rican offered a hopeful extension of diplomacy between the two countries, and called for international recognition by the United Nations, America, the Pra'araziaydınız Empire, and Europe. He promised the Costa Rican people a "Restauracion" to the old government, while also maintaining courteous and respectful to the Nicaraguan President, whom he addressed as an "Ally" and stressed the importance of continued cooperation. In his closing remarks he established the reopening of several old embassies in the two countries, and encouraged foreign leaders to estalbish connections with the Provisional Government.

Months Later...

In the days following the dual-speeches the situation in Parliament had deteriorated. The Nicaraguan Leftist Majority had locked the doors to the Parliamentary Chamber, effectively shutting out the Costa Rican emissaries. The Nicaraguan President happily signed several pieces of legislation that she had proposed in the speech, which the Costa Rican President signed begrudgingly to promote unity and as to not undermine the new country's validity overseas. The two countries now had the highest minimum wage in the Americas, used the Euro as it's official currency (a move backed at the insistence of the Costan Rican President), had full Nationalization of all basic necessities (Water, Power, Rail-lines, and had Socialized the Healthcare system; moving it towards prioritizing Patient Care. However issues still plauged the new nation. Unemployment was high, Trade was nonexistent, the military was in shambles and unorganized, and the government had still yet to be formed. This compounded with the instability of the world, and the countries unrecognized status, lead to great anxiety in both Presidents. Who both had developed similar opinions on the state of the country. The Nicaraguan President saw the situation as "A glass half full." citing their independence and general success in the preservation of order. The Costa Rican President saw it as "Half Empty" being increasingly concerned about the situation in Parliament, and the silence from other world powers on their seemingly tentative independence. Both awaited anxiously for the international response, and hoped it would bring good news...

As head of the young empire, Xia decided to quickly make economic changes in order to ensure the goal of growth and stability of the young empire is achieved. The first economic policy that is to be set in place is an increased 5% tariff for all nations that trade with Zhongjiang. This will increase the money that is made by trade with outside businesses and nations. In order for the empire's economy to grow, it is important to get the maximum benefit possible out of every trade deal. With this new policy in place, the young empire is expected to grow its production and money available. This deal is also set into place to promote job growth within the country, as businesses wishing to avoid this tariff will set up inside the country in order to establish a reduced tax.

The second economic policy put in place will increase the tax rate to a 30% flat tax rate for income tax. The corporate tax rate will increase to 26% and sales tax will be a universal 8%. These taxes are put into place to stimulate economic growth and increase the number of projects the government can work on. Along with this deal is a newly established savings policy. This policy states that citizens must save at least 5% of all of their earnings. This is to grow over time and allow for citizens to feel economically secure. They will have money stored in case of a lost job, destruction of property, or any other unfortunate event to happen. Propaganda is released to promote an un-materialistic lifestyle among the citizens. Materialism will now be demoted a greedy and self-destructing idea.

With these new economic policies are expected to bring large margins of profits for the state. In this time of unrest and reform, it would be generously taken.

A Faith To The Land:

The secular nation that has been China has broken its silence. In this time of strife, the Empress has endorsed and followed a new religion, Strahendo. This faith is polytheistic and believes the gods are very ancient beings. The cores of this religion have a moral code to treat its fellow countrymen with respect. This religion also promotes the ridding of material possessions and obtaining of mental balance. This spiritual discovery enthralls its members as both poor and rich can follow. It also promotes a different view of the afterlife. If one lives by the gods and lives a good life then they go to Shèngdì, an amazing place where the ancestors reside. Here is true happiness, and pure spirituality.

Those who fight in name of the gods and their country go to a different place. They go to a place of Wǎ'ěrhālā, a great place of drink, feasting, and fighting. The men and women who go here are greatly honored, as they are the soldiers of the gods. To get into this place you must be a warrior true to the gods. This is considered a great honor in the religion and anyone who pursues this path is respected.

Another idea that this religion promotes is the ruler by divine right. The gods will bless the ruler of the nation with divine ruling powers. Once the ruler goes bad, however, it is assumed that the gods have picked a new champion. Xia has endorsed this religion and has made it the official state religion.

Military Actions:

As a new rebellion spread through the Empire, Xia knew she must put a stop to the unrest. These despicable actions caused by the rebellious citizens shouldn't be tolerated. Xia was going to put a stop to this state of rebellion. She first started with ordering a letter to be sent to the different rebel leaders. This letter would hopefully put some sense into these rebellious states.

A new military training program is also going to be designed to not only make Imperial troops some of the fittest and strategic, but also will make them emotionless in the line of combat. This program should teach them to be accurate on the field and in a hand-to-hand situation. This new training program is expected to take two years to design, but hopefully with it in place, the Empires troops will be the most dominant. This new training for the soldiers, or Project Bolt, is hopefully one of the biggest things the Empire can do to make sure its troops are dominant.

Shanghai, A City Broken:

Chancellor Kim Min's plan was unsuccessful because he spent too much money as it is. Shanghai was not going to be rebuilt anytime soon, but, the area could be made to have some other benefit. Xia offered a different approach to the problem. She had teams of scientists go out of the ruins and plant seeds of radiation absorbing plants all over. Another thing that she told them to do was to lay out tons of radiation absorbing fungus spores out all over the city. With these plants growing here they hope that it will lead to a destruction of the radiation that plagues the area.

The bid for elections in Brazil had completely failed with no clear winner due to the minimal amount of votes and complete failure for any party to take control, thus Rafael had stepped up and declared his party in complete power claiming all the seats in the unicameral legislature and the unanimous vote to keep him in power, he realized that no amount of pleading was going to work and that his military police had to show zero tolerance for any protester, the nation was decalred to be at Alert Level 1 and martial law was declared. Curfew was set from 7 A.M to 7 P.M and anyone seen not following the rules would be arrested on sight and there would be no trial. Rafael was going to end anarchy in the Union, one way or another. He stepped out of the Palace to give the public and international audience what was going to happen in the next few months.

<Rafael> After careful counting, the Electoral Commission has declared, the Centrists the winners of the election with a complete decimation winning all 301 seats that were available. Our party is going to lead Brazil into a greater and brighter future. The Alert level has been raised to 1, which is the maximum and this will eliminate dissent all over.             Tensions between the Slavic Empire and Russia have been at an all time high since the end of world war 3. But the news that Georgia had been secured brought both excitement and hope to chancellor Reltih, intervention in Georgia had been a major risk for the chancellor and one that had paid off. With Georgia firmly in Russian hands and sphere of influence, dominance of the caucuses was assured. But now was the time for several reforms, especially if Russia was going to be a force on the world stage.

        Chancellor Reltih sat at his desk finalizing several reforms for Russia, starting with a tax reform that set a flat tax rate at 5%. This was done in the hopes of stimulating growth for the economy. The next reform was for the education system, setting a standard education and course curriculum for school grades 1-12, also making it mandatory for all Russian citizens to complete 12th grade. The last reform was setting the military budget at 5.4%, this prevented the previous high military budget from strangling the Russian economy.

   The finale act was called the Olympic project, with the 2056 Olympics being held in Cairo, Chancellor Reltih saw this as an opportunity to show off Russian superiorness compared to other nations. A Olympic training center was constructed and the selection of the 2056 Russian Olympic team was underway.

Recently a book has been published. As Strahendo doesn't have an official holy book, this book comes close in telling epics of the gods, lifestyles of those following the religion, and many other details about the religion. This book has been endorsed by the Empress herself as she states "This faith, this reality that Strahendo shows us what our ancestors believed. Here many mythical creatures lived and harmony was achieved. Everybody who entered Shèngdì would live lavish lives and do as they please. The glory of Shèngdì has been stated throughout many different epics created. The feasts here are endless and this is the place of true harmony and happiness. People can pursue what they wish here. Scholars have libraries of information that never end. Craftsman have the best tools, and unlimited resources. Dining halls have food that never ends. The poor shall become rich and happy in this land. Here all questions will be answered, and all truths will be known.

Monks are also seen as a positive thing in this faith. Most temples that these monks reside in are dedicated to one god, although their have been few cases where they have worshiped all the gods. Monks should live a life of seclusion and peace, as they will gain the maximum amount of spiritual knowledge this way.

One of these monks will have a refined connection with the Gods. They will be the holy prophet and is the only on capable of speaking to the Gods directly. The prophet shall come forward and be used for guidance on matters, but, the prophet should spend most of its time in seclusion. The prophet will come out of seclusion when they feel the message must be heard. Prophets aren't always born, so if one dies it does not mean another will come forth the next day. Prophets are gifts from the Gods, and will be sent as the Gods wish them to be sent.

This faith system teaches that the Emporer or Empress of China rules through divine right. This ruling states that the Gods gave the ruler the chance to rule. They believe that this person will rule the lands at the best time. The Gods will choose one person within the nations provinces and make them known, as they will lead the Nation in the best way possible.

The belief system states that China is the Motherland. It has been the place of isolation and innovation. It is a place where people should learn, grow, and develop. That is why it is important to take care of the homeland. The Empresses initiative to make Shanghai into a forest is one example of this religion flowing through the many. Beautifying the homeland and making it strong once more is a key aspect of this religion.

The gods realized that this life was not for everybody, so they created Wǎ'ěrhālā. After the Great War between the gods and the creatures of the underworld, the gods realized they must have soldiers. The soldiers of the gods, known as Shén bīng, were of the most honored in society. They fought for the gods and were said to be immortal. The epics state that only a soldier who is loyal, faithful, and strong can enter the realm of Wǎ'ěrhālā. It is said that when faithful soldiers who worship the gods and fight in the name of their country fall in combat they go here. Their souls are restless and filled with the fighting spirit. The great halls that are Wǎ'ěrhālā are filled with tables of the finest ales, meats, and food. Here soldiers will feast until content and have access to the greatest weapons. They will spend the rest of their days feasting, drinking, fighting, and adventuring.

Since the soldiers in the mortal world will die and fight for the gods, they are honored in society. They will one day be the protectors of Shèngdì and the gods themselves. They will be the ones keeping the dark creatures from the underworld from taking over. In the ideal Strahendo society, the soldiers would be honored and respected in life as they have a job of a lifetime.

In this faith, scientific discovery and research aren't suppressed. In fact, the belief states that the gods created the world with science. Science and technology are gifts of the gods and it is encouraged to use the gifts to the fullest potential. Through developing these things, societies that accept Stahendo will become the strongest societies. Studying the natural world and sciences are encouraged as it helps the believers understand what the Gods have created. Studying fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Astronomy are encouraged as they help one to get a better understanding of the world and the Universe that the gods have laid out. People of the faith believe that the better grasp of the world around them that they have, the better understanding they will have of the Gods and their plans.

Another aspect of this religion that is embedded in Chinese society today is that in which the elderly are respected. The elderly in a Strahendo society are to be valued, respected, protected, and taken care of by the youth. They are the wisest, as they have seen the most. Young people should look after their elders. This is already a value in modern China but it carries over.

The faith also has another idea. They believe the gods know the exact date and time that everyone will die. They believe that the God's don't know how the individual will die, only the time. It is this belief that encourages citizens to live their lives to the fullest they can possibly live, as people know that they will die when they are supposed to.

This belief has many gods, but the highest God is Ào dīng. Ào dīng is the god of war, death, wisdom, and poetry. He is the father of all Gods and sits on the highest throne in Shèngdì. His youngest son, Léishén, who is the god of storms, weather, and some would say a bit of fertility. Léishén is thought to be powerful as he has come to Earth many times. Léishén supposedly had much to do in Great War.

The Great War:

This section of the book is many stories and epics stating what happened in the almighty Great War.

As the story goes, in the early days of the Gods they all sat in Shèngdì. Many Gods and Goddesses sat here, but, many are not still there. It is said that there was internal strife within the court. A fight broke out within the gods. Ào dīng calmed the fight, but this would be the first of many. As days turned into weeks many more fights broke out about one single thing. The strife was about power. Some of the Gods and Goddesses felt that they were not equal to each other, and they wanted more power. They felt it was unfair how they were treated and yearned more power. This lead to plotting. The opposing order, known simply as 'The Dark Ones'. These Gods and Goddesses were seduced by darkness and greed. They one day decided to rise and fight. A brawl broke out in Shèngdì and destruction ensued. The brawl lasted and then Ào dīng's great voice shouted over the rest of the Gods. They stopped, as his shout shook the palace and the Earth. He learned of their plan (as he is the god of wisdom) and sentenced them to a temporary dungeon for their actions.

Here The Dark Ones plotted even more. They felt that if they couldn't have more power by diplomacy or by direct action, then they would take it. So when they were released from the dungeon, they left Shèngdì. This angered some of the God's, but The Dark Ones promised the leave was necessary. On this leave, they crafted an army of dragons, demons, giants, and other horrendous creatures. They returned to Shèngdì and fought. The Gods that still resided in Shèngdì, were taken by surprise when these creatures stormed their lands. As the creatures pushed further into the lands of Shèngdì, the Gods realized what had happened. As they had no army, Ào dīng told them to grab their weapons and armor. They then charged into battle, no more than 100 gods and goddesses against a horde of monsters. This battle lasted 1 year straight. As the gods fought recently to protect their homeland, even with the odds stacked against them. In this battle, there were Gods that fell, and they were lost to time. This battle ended with Ào dīng's side victorious. Ào dīng went back to the palace with the surviving Gods and Goddesses. They planned to make a great army that would stand the test of time, this would later be known as the Shén bīng. The Shén bīng took much time to form though and one God wished to fight the enemy while they were down. Léishén, the youngest of the Gods, gathered the 300 Shén bīng that had already been made and secretly charged the enemy. They caught The Dark Ones with surprise and fought.

This battle lasted one year, as the Shén bīng and Léishén fought. The swarms of enemies seemed to never end but they charged the enemy and pushed them back. They then came in contact with The Dark Ones. Before they could finish them, The Dark Ones fled and Léishén and his soldiers returned to Shèngdì and a great feast was held. Although his ambitions were considered reckless on this day, Léishén, was a hero. The enemy had been pushed back to its weakest.

The Dark Ones were now the laughing stock, and they conjured the final force. They wished to take something more precious to the God's than their own palace. Earth had been one of their main creations and they wished to seize it. In the Epic it describes a battle between China and a people known as the 'Weak Minded'. The Weak Minded are not described very well in the tales and historians state that there are a wide variety of people that could fit this description, such as warring Chinese cities or even outsiders.

The Dark Ones used the Weak Minded to take China, and then move to the world. They soon created beasts, dragons to enslave these humans and do their bidding. The lord dragon is described to be as black as night. His name is Shēn sè de, and he is spoken of with great fear. This dragon lived in the shadows and enslaved the humans. Its power was unimaginable and it had become a god itself. As more dragons slithered from The Dark One's conjuring, the efforts seemed hopeless. The Gods that still fought in Shèngdi fought and were occupied with the front in the heavens. As the army of The Weak Minded dominated, the efforts of all good and true seemed fruitless.

The gods then cast a warrior down from the heavens. A warrior that would be born and raised as any other man or women. This warrior would be known as the Lóng yì. A human that would be infused with the blood of the serpents that plagued the land. This warrior came and fought the war on the mortal front. He was able to push The Weak Minded and reclaim China for the Gods. This war lasted a long time and the dragons that ran through the land feared this warrior.

The Lóng yì was honored among everyone under the religion. He is said to come when the Gods truly feel that China needs a warrior. This warrior is said to contain a yell that would be able to shake the lands. With the power of Shétou, the Lóng yì could shout at dragons and people. This ancient Chinese art of learning the tongues of the serpents was lost into time.

Soon the serpents questioned the orders they received from Shēn sè de and soon turned against the tyrant. A civil war between the dragons took place as serpents rushed to the sides of the Lóng yì. Chaos ensued and the war fought on for many more days and nights. With the serpents on their side and the Lóng yì fighting non-stop China had a chance. They slowly pushed back the forces of darkness and soon the Lóng yì fought Shēn sè de. A great battle that has stood the test of time.

The Epic's state that this great battle between the dark lord and the Gods warrior was fought with unfathomable strength. Each hit that was taken shook the Earth and the Heavens. This was the final battle of the great war. The battle lasted hours on top of one of China's mountains. The fellow soldiers waited at the bottom of the mountain. The soldiers were told to wait for the Gods Warrior to come back.

The battle ended, and both combatants fell victim to death. Lóng yì, or the warrior that saved the world. This warrior is the savior of China, as he saved the nation. That was the last great war. At the end of the war, the creatures and the turned gods were banished to the Underworld. The Underworld was a place of nightmares and terror. Here laid creatures that would be constantly weak and terrifying. They suffered off of a world of hate, greed, and terror. That is all that resided in the Underworld. This is where those who did things that acted against the Gods were sent. This is also were those who speak foul of the Gods are sent.

The new regime's grasp of Mexico's territory was all but complete, with the last remnants of Emperor Gutiérrez' loyalists being at best only a minor nuisance scattered over the Empire. Nicaragua and Costa Rica's departure was swift, and it seemed that their new governments were relatively stable and wouldn't threaten Mexico's own integrity. However, Empress Jaèl feared that some foreign power could attempt to gain a foothold in Central America buy influencing the two former Mexican states. She wanted to fill in any "needs" that the new central american nations may have, so as to nullify any possibility they'd ally themselves to nations outside the region.

Legislative Perogatives:

La Iniciativa Mexicana para Autodeterminación Centroamericana: The Imperial Congress approved an initiative from Empress Jaèl to hold a referendum in each of the Empire's central american states ( Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize) on the status desired by their respective populaces. The voters will have several choices on their ballots: Independence from Mexico with Associated State Pact (ie US and Micronesia), Statehood within Mexico, Independence from Mexico to join Central American Republic (ie Nicaragua and Costa Rica's union), and Other (written in status suggestions). The Empress has guaranteed the people of the central american states that the Imperial government will not influence the outcome of the referendums, and promised to carry out the will of the voters.

La Iniciativa de Educación Pública: The Imperial Congress, through this initiative, removes the states' control of the curricula of Mexico's public education services. The Imperial Government now has sole legal authority to issue a nationwide education curriculum from kindergarten to 12th grade. This initiative also provides for additional tuition assistance for students from less fortunate families to go to Universities suiting their desired major, provided they maintain at least a B average in high school.

ADMINISTRATION

     A tax relief system is put into place to lower income families, this allows them to pay less state taxes and allows them to keep 95% of their gross income. While low income families received a tax reduction, high income families received an increase of 4%, this is to ensure the offset of the lost tax income. The system is also geared towards creating a middle class, which Russia has not seen since the 1917 revolution and the institution of communism. The ultimate goal is to create three social classes, low, middle, and high.

    The Olympic committee is commissioned, headed by Aventin Gavrikov. He's sole purpose is to select the 2056 Russian Olympic team that will number 345 athlete's. So far a perspective 5,000 athlete's have been selected and out of the number the Russian olympic team will be selected. Construction of the Olympic training stadium is underway and will be completed within 9 months.

The department of education is established, their main focus is to monitor all of the 60 universities of the Russian federation and to produce a common core that exceeds the standards of the rest of Europe. This is to educate the next generation of Russian youth and to propel Russia as a leader of education and productivity.

The Chinese request of swarm bot technology is accepted and all avaible research to date is sent to China, with Russian scientist who have worked on the project. Their role is to be advisors to the Chinese.

All travel to the Slavic Empire is banned, counter sanctions are set in place banning all trade with the Slavic Empire and their allies. This of course is done mostly as a formality and as a retaliation method after sanctions are placed on Russia.

   A central banking system is established, in an effort to increase the value of the Russian currency a diplomatic offer is sent to China. The diplomatic offer asks China to merge their banks with that of Russia and to use a single currency called the Eurasian Pound.

MILITARY:

   A steady draw down is set for Georgia, this draw down is to leave a Russian military presence of 35,000 men to be permantly stationed inside of Georgia. While the transition of power happens in Georgia, the Russian military has declared martial law until a permanent Georgian government can be established. Georgian officials that wish to be placed in power must become members of the ultranationlist party and take vows of loyalty to Chancellor Reltih.

Major Ketov continues his work on both the lazures project and his efforts to weaponize the Ataxia plague, Major Ketov simulates the Ataxia plague in a lab forcing it to mutate to become more lethal. He tests the version of the Ataxia plague, codename XV-1, on 60 prisoners currently held at Gulag 21 in secret. Awaiting the results of the test and experiment, could this usher in a deadly new biological weapon on the world.

Captain Vladimir Alanksandov, after his work in the Finnish campaign Alanksandov received a promotion to Captain and is sent to Georgia with the 2nd Spetnasz Guard division, nicknamed the Reaper battalion for being the appointed death squads. His mission in Georgia is to conduct counter insurgency operations and to round up anyone who supported the Slavic Empire and execute them or send them to the Gulags.

Russia makes it public knowledge that they have nuclear weapons and are in possession of nuclear missles, with this declaration to the world Russia also acknowledges they're active nuclear rearmamant.

PROJECTS:
Operation Skyfall: in response to the Slavic Empires iron dome system, RUSSIA begins work on Skyfall, a self defense system that would counter the iron dome system. Skyfall has a fail safe that is being added to it, in the event that the Skyfall system detects a launch at Russia and is activated then in response Skyfall launches Russia nuclear weapons at predetermined targets, bypassing all safety measures. Currently Skyfall is still under development and is offline.

Two silhouettes walked alongside poorly put together levee wading through the cold brime of ocean water. Levee was built out of sandbags and old construction site junk and it was quickly falling apart as the tide began to rise. It was early in the morning, the light hadn't broken yet and both men were tired:

"It's leaking here, Papa. The sandbag fell apart." He crouched and assesed the damage. "We must bring others to repair it. We are short on time."

"Gettin' mighty tard of this Souleiman." spoke the other one, scratching his head. "We come here every month after dark, and after we had spent hours pulling nets out of the sea. And every tide, those levees break down more and more. We are killing ourselves from work, we have no mortar, and our tools are awfull. Also, those folks in the tourist parts, they have all the mechanization and we are left to fend for ourselves around here. One of these days they will break and sink all houses."

"The tide comes, the tide goes away. And insann has to work until he drowns. It's the will of Allah. " said Papa melancholically.

Léopold Kane sat in his cushioned chair. His desk was cluttered by news and reports from all over the world, Africa in particular, since his country served as something of a peacekeeper in the West of the Continent. Now he had his Minister of Construction Abdul Sidri-Diouf on video link. Sidri Diouf was in St-Louis and he gave him status reports on the state of coastal levees

"The coastline of Senegal is sinking more and more every year. By our calculations it's receding meter to two every year. There are various factors contributing to that. Colleagues from Maritime Institute of Dakar have published a research paper last year indicating that primary factors are global- the level of oceans is rising due to the global warming. In some regions we have devised protective walls, but for those cities that stretch all the way from coastline this is just a temporary solution. The maritime district of St Louis, Santhiaba, had been flooded. There are about 10 000 people living there, and many businesses including several hotels and Eco Bank. Material damage for the fishermen living on the outskirts of cities has also been significant. Remember, our votes are mainly coming from those folks. "

"Is there anything we can do to alleviate the damage. Maybe reverse the process?"

"Hardly. It is beyond our current capacities. But with aid of some foreign company... The National Assembly might give us funds for some new urban renewal project."

"What kind of project did you have in mind, Mr. Sidri-Diouf?

Cirre coughed importantly : "Well, the most important thing we have to have in mind is that we cannot reverse rise of sea level or erosion of our coast but we can build or cities to ensure that they are safe from the sea, while enabling acces to the coast to the fishermen. It would require several things- rebuilding of our coastline to make wharfs and building huge housing projects" Also more roads and public transport will have to be built. We will need to come up with plans for St. Louis and Guet Ndar, as well as for many fishing hamlets in the vicinity."

"I suggest we make international bid for governments and companies that want to rebuild our coastline cities. We require them to send the idea of their project and price estimate. Then we evaluate those bids and send those propositions to Congress who has to approve funds for best offer. I think it will be the one that is going to be least damaging to our taxpayers.I will send form of the bid to you in the minute, Mr. President."

After the meeting President Kane went to the media room. The room located in the basement of presidential palace was brimming with activity- four years ago extra budget was approved for year round employment of a team of media scientists, journalist, sociologists and memetics experts. It was soon proven to be one of the best investments: they worked day and night fighting anarchist propaganda that came from the south and reactionary and nationalist speeches by Kane's opponents that claimed this new socialist way is pushing country into lawlessness. However, Massare was experienced politician and Tilemsi dangerous radical. He decided it was better to counter the points they have raised. Pouria Moos, the man in-charge for the construction of bunkers in Elburz Mountain Range is now at the first finished bunker, the BA-1. After the recent announcement of the cure for Ataxia, the would-be quarantine facilities have been converted into nuclear bunkers.

"How are the operations down here?", he asked one of the engineers assisting him.

"Things are going great sir, we just finished the construction of BA-1 and BA-2. And if this will continue at an increasing rate of effectiveness, we could complete all the bunkers in Sector A before the first half of the year."

"Good, we must always be pass the expectations of the NORAD. We might have a potential fund boost and double the construction time."

Prime Minister Mamnoon Khan entered the meeting room already filled with all the different Secretaries of States and Heads of the different executive departments, commissions, and bureas of the government. Before he took his seat at the end of the long table he first surveyed the officials if there is somebody who is absent. "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I am glad that everybody is present and nobody is late. So I would like to say, this meeting will officially start." he took his seat and motioned for Adam Suliman, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to start the ball rolling.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs have recently received a handful of international telegrams, and currently we will soon have a Joint Naval Exercise with the Confederacy of the Raj and the North African Federation at the Arabian Sea. We had also purchased a $15B agreement with the North Slavic Empire for the installation of the Iron Dome Anti-Missile Defense system, defending our main cities and our borders. I have yet to check the other telegrams, but as soon as I get further information on the new telegrams, I will contact you immediately."

Antoun Azizi, the Minister of Defense interjected immediately after Adam have stated his report,"We have also new military equipment that had been designed and developed by the ADMIRED (Administration for Military Research and Development) and ofcourse it will be manufactured here in Persia. Charles was among the first to receive a vaccine to resist the disease, along with many of the members of the cabinet.

Military personnel watched over as the troops did basic training for the day. Soldiers left and right dropped and gave push-ups, ran the obstacle course, sparred each other in the sparring arenas. It was not a matter of if war with Pramilandert will happen, but a matter of when it will happen, many of the soldiers took bets, some ranging from the end of this year up to 5 years in the future. Many didn’t participate in this gamble, knowing full well that war was the last thing that should happen with the US. But with growing tensions, along with the interception of messages across the globe, it would seem that Pramilandert was violating the Treaty of Paris, reforming an alliance that was forbidden by the treaty. Once production begins to pick up, it was projected to lower the time to at most a quick one ship per week. The Airforce was also getting a huge bonus to their firepower, for the US government signed yet another contract with Lockheed to begin production of more F-22’s, F-32’s, F-35’s, and finally the X-3 ScramJets. But this wasn’t the end of it, for the US government had also given a huge budget to NASA for future exploration and possible colonization on the moon and mars. Raising their budget from 20 Billion to 100 Billion US dollars to allow for future missions and deeper space exploration. Earlier this week, NASA has sent a design proposal to the congress, suggesting that project star wars and a new space station project would interlay with each other allowing for future projects in space to be ten times easier.

After much debate in the senate, funding has begun to re-allocate to the industry business. Supporting some of the smaller businesses to help get their feet off the ground and help them survive through Black Tuesday. Along with supporting the smaller businesses, the government has allocated some funds over to the larger businesses to try to keep them within the United States. In order to combat the stock markets failure, the US currency has been redone. Calling for a reduction in prices for all consumer goods across the board. The office of the prime minister was designed so that the room had two large windows on opposite walls, the wall to the left gave the prime minister a view of Port au prince while to the right gave the prime a view of the sea. This was supposed to allow the prime minister to see the prosperity of Haiti and to see the it's good relations with those abroad alas in mr Dupont's case all it showed was the slowly crumbling social order in Haiti and the fact that his nation was wedged between the U.S.A, Mexico and Pra'araziaydınız Imparatorluğu the latter of which was viewed by the people of his nation as hegemonic imperialists. Mr Dupont's main concern at this moment was the growing popularity of anarchism within his nation and the fact that the Haitian economy had suffered enormously as a result of black Thursday.

Military affairs:
As seen as Haiti is an island nation with a rather small land mass the army is largely used as a purely defensive force with the majority of funding going into both the navy and the airforce. No one believed in this doctrine more so than admiral Thomas Benoit who largely advocated for the use of submarine warfare and strategic bombing raids. Now he was able to secure funding from the Haiti government in order to start the development of 2 new submarines but he was also capable of beginning the development of the nautilus class submarine. The nautilus class would be the most advanced ship in the entirety of the Haitian navy and would provide them some measure of power projection across the Caribbean.

Many in the government hoped that this would not only allow them to protect themselves from imperialistic powers that were encroaching into Caribbean but would also give them the military might necessary to begin to pressure some of the smaller states into annexation.

Social Media began to blow up as screenshots and videos of injured masses and heavy patrols by the police has created a sense of panic among the populace of the Realm, with people beginning to take actions to defend themselves against looters.

Roads both within and outside the city were cut off with sit-ins and barricades set-up by both police and civilian forces. The overwhelmed officers has reported incessant looting and a rapid increase in disorder, begging for backup.

By the personal order of Tarik, SWAT officers armed with riot shields and water cannons bombarded the protestors, forcing them to retreat from several blocks that they occupied, creating varying amounts of damage.

Finally, the situation calmed down when the riots were dispersed and dozens were arrested, the internet was still in a uproar.
False news regarding a Algerian Civil War or the overthrow of his regime has been dismissed by the government, and initial stabilization is now occurring.

Thankfully, the riots hasn’t hit the office and commercial districts that hard, only putting a slight dent on foreign investment and their confidence, but thankfully once the stock closed it gained a few points back.

However, this has sent a message to the silent workhorse that is Tarik, switch to Democracy, or face a escalating civil conflict. Knowing that all efforts to stop it will eventually result in the entire country and the economy failing, a losing battle.

It was the third month of work on project "Tragedy Transformation" and many workers were already sick of it. Living in small tents in the middle of a destroyed city digging up roads with picks and construction vehicles and laying down new pavement. Everyday tons upon tons of rubble was moved out of the city to an offsite depot 2 miles South of the city where it was either deposited, or reused. The government workers overseeing the reconstruction watched the workers work 8 hours everyday from their headquarters in the main camp. This whole process was slow and painful, and was expected to take a long time with so few workers, today however, a new plan was exposed to those leading the project.

Amitabh Nancy was the woman in charge of the rebuilding. She had worked as an official in a government funded construction firm known as Concrete Rebirth West in Pune, she was selected due to her work in designing multiple new cities being built in the Mumbai-Delhi economic corridor (the name was quite outdated). She was sitting in her tent office in the main camp looking through files for the fourth months plans of the project, even though she was already behind schedule and could see government cuts should she not find a way to expedite the process. Her phone rang and she answered to find governor Cyavana Valimbe of Maharashtra on the other end

<Governor Cyavana Valimbe> Greetings Mrs Nancy. How goes the reconstruction? I've been hearing you've been falling behind schedule with ripping out those roads, that's quite dangerous you know, Kolkata is anxious about the project, they want it to go smoother then the Chinese disaster with Shanghai

<Amitabh Nancy> I'm well aware of that, we will be working even harder these next few weeks so you don't have to worry. Your city will be rebuilt. The main issue is manpower, we only have around 20,000 workers here at the moment

<Governor Cyavana Valimbe> About that... What is I told you that we may have found a way of adding an additional 85,000 workers to your force?

<Amitabh Nancy> Surely that's impossible, you'd have to get every construction company on the West coast to shell in.

<Governor Cyavana Valimbe> Or... The entire able bodied population of a sinking archipelago...

<Amitabh Nancy> What's that supposed to mean? Is the Conference of Malé just a front to get a huge amount of workers to assist with the rebuilding?

<Governor Cyavana Valimbe> Yes, it is. This is highly confidential though, only a handful of people were told. I expect you can keep a secret?

She hung up and looked outside her tent at the busy site. She was now confident she wouldn't be behind schedule for much longer...

<Arya Patil> Of course we are, we have come together to discuss Maldivian annexation into the Confederacy for reasons relating to the tens of thousands of climate refugees still trapped in your sinking nation

<Abdulla Saeed> We are not sinking as much as the ocean is rising, and that can be considered your nations fault to a degree

<Indian representative> It's unfair to blame us for global warming, that can be attributed to every major country on the globe!

<Arya Patil> Exactly, it's no single nations fault for the situation your people are in Mr Saeed

<Abdulla Saeed> If you say so. But allow me to ask a few questions, namely: is my country going to be annexed as a state or a union territory, what kind of program do you intend to start to assist the tens of thousands of climate refugees still waiting transport, and will my people be given citizenship immediately?

<Arya Patil> The Maldives shall be made a union territory, it is expected to last no more then 10 years so making it a state would be redundant. We intend to start a huge resettlement program for Maldivian refugees, many of our states have already consented to receiving a large number of Maldivians in some of their urban centers. And all Maldivian refugees will be eligible for citizenship upon reaching the mainland.

<Abdulla Saeed> So you intend to treat us semi-annexed and semi-independent?

<Arya Patil> There's little point in fully integrating the Maldives, you should already know why

The conversation continued for another 2 hours as the men discussed the planned resettlement of Maldivians on the mainland. Eventually they finished, shook hands once again, and the Rajian officials took their plane back to Kolkata
