January 1, 2030 - Paris, France
The President of the French Union, Zachary Axalis steps out in front of the public, ready for another announcement. Microphones are being shoved into his face and there are cameras everywhere, but he keeps his head straight. He stands in front of the bustling crowd of news reporters and curious citizens. To his left, there is the leader of the department of education, to his right, an unknown man.

<Axalis> "For too long, the people of France and Switzerland have gone without a space agency. As many of you know, I am notorious for my large care of the educational and scientific programs. That's why I am officially announcing the creation of the French Space Agency."

Cameras are blaring everywhere, and voices drown out his own. He waits until the crowd calms.

<Axalis> "To lead the new space agency, is Richard Tyson."

He gestures to the man to his right and sits back down, letting Tyson take center stage.

<Tyson> "Greetings French Union! I am Richard Tyson, leader of the newly created FSA. As its leader, I would like to discuss some of the projects we have coming up in the near future. First off, we have the Athena probes, which will explore the outer reaches of our solar system. Each holds a rover, which will be dropped on Europa, Venus, Titan, and Pluto. These missions are years off, but worth announcing. Finally, and perhaps a bold announcement, we also plan to put a man on Mars as of 2035!"

Cameras flash all over, news reporters yell questions out, Tyson ignores them. After the conference, Tyson and Axalis leave the stage and building.

January 3, 2030 - Alps, Switzerland
An airplane lands in a military base in the Alps. Zach Axalis steps out, greeted by a man wearing a military suit decorated with metals.

<Axalis> "Ah, Minister of Defense, Edwin Nobel. It has been too long, no one told me why I was flown here, but I trust it is an issue of great importance.

<Nobel> "'I wouldn't call it an issue, but there was a good reason. Would you like to see what we've been working on before we get started?"

<Axalis> "Sure, I have to be back in Paris by the fifth, I have time."

They walk into the base.

<Axalis> "Well... you have been busy."

Nobel smiles and walks towards one of the vehicles.

<Nobel> "This is the AP-65, the standard attack jet."

He walks over to another vehicle.

<Nobel> This has been named the AC-20, the attack helicopter."

He points across the large airforce base.

<Nobel> "That is the TH-36, transport helicopter"

He walks into another room and over to another vehicle.

<Nobel> "The XM-44, the standard battle tank.

He gestures to a vehicle several feet away.

<Nobel> "Finally, that is the MJ-12, it probably won't be used in battle too much, it is mostly used in skirmishes when mobilizing tanks would be a waste. Alright then, I believe that is it for what we have done. Please follow me."

They step onto a jeep. A soldier wearing an uniform Axalis hasn't seen before steps on.

<Axalis> "What is that uniform?"

<Nobel> "We changed the military uniform, our previous one was too similar to the uniforms of the United Kingdom and Italy. It is named the C-1. There are different variations, but that is the standard version."

They arrive on the other side of the base, they enter the building.

<Axalis> "Why am I here?"

<Nobel> "I need you to sign off on some things, I'll also show you some hypothetical military equipment we had in mind."

They walk into the room, a man is sitting in a chair.

<Nobel> "Axalis, I would like to introduce you to Charles Maxwell, leader of Special Forces, Special Forces is a new branch of the military having to do with experimental technology."

They shake hands.

<Maxwell> "Nice to meet you. Shall we get started?"

He pulls up a piece of paper.

He leaves the base and heads to Paris for the education reformation.

January 5, 2030 - Paris, France
President Axalis is in a small conference room, looking nervous. The board of education files into the room, they are here to discuss a possible education reformation for the French Union. Yesterday, he dramatically raised government funding to Science, technology, and education. Once everyone is seated, he speaks.
<Axalis> "When you think of France, what pops into your head? Wine, Perfume, maybe even a Cultured populous. One thing that doesn't appear in my head is science, technology, and innovation; this disturbs me. France will become the scientific and technological capital of the world. This has been the goal of my administration since I was elected as president a year ago. The education system in our nation, although decent, is not to the quality I wish it to be. I am pushing for a large increase in our educational system, with science and mathematics at the helm."

One of the members of the Board of Education interjects.

<Member> "I'm sorry, but how do you think this will work? Some students are confused enough as is, and you are pushing for a more advanced system?"

Albert Tesla, Minister of Education, speaks up.

<Tesla> "If you start students off ahead of the curb, it will be easier for them to adapt to a more advanced system. In my opinion, the years of kindergarten to second grade are wasted. If you compress the what they learn, you can be learning third-grade curriculum by second, maybe even first grade."

The conference lasts two hours, with remarks from both sides. Eventually, the bill is passed for the Education Reformation.

Thomas Vladimir stands in his new office, admiring the desk, when he remembers to call Luke.

T - "Luke?"
L - "Yes?"
T - "Did you remember to get those prototypes out of the rubble?"
L - "Technically..."
T - "Technically?"
L - "I got the blueprints, but they may or may not have been burned in the explosion..."
T - "So we're starting from scratch?"

Jafar Albagdagi stared out at the window, he was part of the union that had moved mountains in his head and had achieved impossible things, such as making the nation possible. he was in command of over a quarter of a million men just in Iran alone. as the warm sun's ways hit him, he heard a knock on the door. groaning, he threw on some clothes and opened the door himself.
"what is it?"
" Sorry to bother you today sir, but the economic Minister Hazlab Al-Zarwhai is here, oh, there's also a bunch of military officials here as well."
" excellent. let them in, come come. we must discuss future military expansionist plans, and a possible inclusion of other nations into our boarders."
as the men funneled into the room and took their seats, Jafar turned off the lights and on a projector, which whirred into life, showing a picture of the nation.

" now, as you all know, we have 417,000 active and 1.3 million reserve troops in our military, our navy consists of a handful of patrol boats and small destroyers, now, if we want to be a true player, we must first build up this navy and air force, I want three new destroyers and a light cruiser in our fleet, we shall have a Persian gulf to our own!"
an aging admiral with a black beard raised his hand.
" yes, what is it?"
" sorry sir, but I understand why you are allocating these resources,however, every other major power has an aircraft carrier, if we could have if anything, a pair of light carriers, the Sonhalja and the Sahmalja, they will be 700 feet long, 76 feet wide, have a top speed of 20 knots, they will carry 35 Sa'eqeh fighters and have a crew of 1,062. "
" This is excellent news! my army and navy are already becoming inventive, excellent! I want the keel to be laid down in three months, and for the first to be launched in two years. oh, and get me General Mufasa Na'isha."
" Yes sir. I shall get in contact with the naval yard, and begin the allocation of resources necessary for the task ahead."
" good. now, what of the Space agency?"
" w-we have a small handful of rockets, a couple of launch pads and two training centers. using our current resources we should have a man orbit the earth by 2053."
"2053? that is almost 23 years from now! I will be in the grave before it happens, here are my orders, 2.5 billion dinar is to be allocated for the improvement of existing facilities and for the building of new training centers for space exploration. the goal is to have a man in space by 2036, you have six years and all that money, do not waste it on stupid shit."
"yes sir."
as a bell is rung, the meeting is over, and he had invited several western reporters over to talk with him over the recent announcements, taking a deep breath, he walks out into a flurry of flashing lights and microphones.
"Jafar Albagdagi, mike row of Washington Post, what is it you were talking about in that room? is it important?"
Albagdagi smiled and chuckled to himself before a dressing the reporter's question.
" Now, my friend, we were merely discussing the matters of the state, planning out a new budget and a space agency, I am pleased to announce the creation of the International Iranraquistani Aerospace Program, or AALI in Arabic. it's mission will be to explore the stars,skies, and earth below our feet in a precise and well meaning balance manner of discovery and findings. the program shall be led by Crazti Barkawai,one of our best professors in the nation. it's expected to send a man into space within six years. that is all."

Capetown, South Africa
"President Zuma, oil reserves are dwindling and are consumption of oil will soon eat up what's left. Though we are beginning alternative resources programs, we will still need oil until those projects are up and running. Angola to our north has plenty of oil that could sustain us until we have alternate means of energy."
"I don't believe it. Are we consuming so much oil?"
"Yes sir. It seems to only increase as the country grows."
"Well, would there be any way to peacefully annex the country and not go to war? Possibly a union in exchange for protection and defense of their borders."
"But sir, they have a ban on mosques, something we don't have in South Africa."
"We will allow and overlook it and allow it to continue in the autonomous province or maybe come to a resolution."
"Great. I will arrange a meeting with President Jose Eduardo dos Santos."


An hour later, President Zuma was talk face to face with President Santos via video chat.
"President Santos, how do you do on this fine day?"
"Good, but, if you don't mind me asking, can we just get to business? What is the reason for you calling me out of the blue?"
"Well Jose, if I may call you that-"
"You may."
"Well, Jose, I called you up to discuss a possible union between Angola and South Africa. With the the powers in the north growing, I'm Angola would feel more secure under the protection of South Africa."
"Much appreciated, but the African Union will back Angola if it is ever invaded by a foreign army, whether African or outside. We are perfectly capable of defending our borders."
"Of course, but still you have to realize that powers are growing and the African Union is slowly losing power. Sooner or later, some nation in need of a new oil supply will come looking and possibly invade."
"President Zuma, I appreciate this all, but I will have to think about this for the time being. I will call you back soon. I first must address my government and if they see fit, hold a referendum that will determine what happens."
"Than you for your cooperation, Jose. I hope to see you soon, United in one country."
"I hope you have a great day, Jacob."

Italy was a great power after EU and NATO fell, despite lacking WMD and colonies. Italy has a harsh hatred towards separatist Veneto, but a great relation with the Vatican. The continued controversial around the Catholic Church such as androcracy, celibacy, homophobia and ableism led to birth of the Second Reformed Catholic Church or Reformed Catholicism. It's main country of worship is Italy. Italy plans to form a new alliance and restore peace in Europe.

While president Jose pondered his ideas for the future of Angola, president Zuma had plans to make South Africa into a great superpower. One on par with the European powers. It turned to It's allies, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique. Throughout the years, South Africa had been a stable ally to these nation. As well, they all shared some cultural and/or geographical similarities. The long lasting support from South Africa for Zimbabwe had continued even through Mugabe. Surely the Zimbabwe would welcome South African annexation. Lesotho and Swaziland were allies, and Lesotho was completely surrounded by South Africa. Those two would surely be easy. Yet, Botswana was very stable and relatively rich, and Mozambique was not too similar. They'd both be a tougher job.

Our nation's are not too different and we both have shared long lasting alliances. South African support has treated into your nations for a long time. Yet, without the African Union the powers are sure to act fast to take minerals they need. I hate to say it, but your nations are vulnerable. Therefore I invite you nations to join the South African Commonwealth. Together with unity and prosperity, coupled with our pride we will expand our power and one day stand tall against evil.

March 9, 2030 - Brussles, Belgium
President Axalis and several government officials arrive at Brussels to talk about possible integration into the Union. The room is quiet as the Belgium and French officials stare at each other. After minutes of silence, King Phillippe II speaks up

<Philippe II> "President Axalis, you have requested a meeting with us and now we are sitting in silence. Begin."

<Axalis> "Yes, of course. *Clears throat* "I am here to express my interest in having Belgium integrate themselves into the French Union."

<Philippe II> "Why would we ever want to do that? We would just be putting ourselves in danger and under the reign of a foreign power. We are very neutral, always have been. Proceed."

<Axalis> "Belgium and France have always had very close ties with as much as 40% of Belgian people speaking French. We have been allies for the longest time, helping each other in things such as thwarting the Schlieffen Plan during World War I. Joining the French Union would only help Belgium."

<Philippe II> "Okay, but the Belgian government would be demolished and would be replaced by the French one. You think I would want that?

<Axalis> "No, I don't. If you have noticed, I have not demolished the Swiss government when they were annexed. You would still have control over your country, I would not change that. Although, the French would assist in you leading your country."

<Philippe II> "Yes, this is all well and good, but we would lose independence. Even if I did accept, the Belgian people would revolt."

<Axalis> "Not quite, during the 2010s, Flanders and Walonia almost split. The latter of the two wanted to join France, the other wanted to be independent. This was due to most of the French being in Walonia, Flanders also had nothing in common with Walonia or France. Your father fixed this by trying to have the Flemish and French people become less divided, he tried to encourage a mixing of the two ethnic groups genetically and locationally. If Belgium was on the brink of collapse then due to there being so many French people, than why wouldn't they accept it now?"

<Philippe II> "Hmm... interesting. My court and I will consider it, have a nice day."

The French officials leave the court and head back to Paris.

Thomas Vladimir is standing outside a construction yard with Luke Savin and a few other scientists.

T - "So this is gonna be the headquarters of the Russian Space Federation?"
L - "Yes."
T - "Led by you?"
L - "Yes."
T - "Interesting. When would it be done?"
L - "In two years."
T - "When will the design for the first shuttle start?"
L - "A month after the completion of the building."
T - "Good. How are the Phoenix going?"
L - "We have basic ideas."
T - "Good."

President Zuma was pleased the governments had responded promptly to his response. Lesotho and Swaziland expressed interest in joining, while Zimbabwe has agreed to hold a referendum in two weeks. As well, he had another meeting with the Angolan president soon.

*35 minutes later*
"President Jose, pleased to speak to you."
"And to you, Zuma. However, I am sorry but my government has disagreed and refused to even hold a referendum on the matter. They say-"
"I suggest you reconsider. Or, more pressing means will bring Angola into the fold."
"Are you possibly threatening me? The sovereignty of Angola will not be infringed upon. We will not go willingly into the dark."
"Please, your people are displeased with your government and your leadership. They are unhappy and less wealthy than South African people. They'd be much better under South African rule."
"I'm sorry, but the answer is no. If this means we have to go to war, so be it. But just know that-"
Zuma heard a gunshot ring on the opposite end. He knew who it was, and was pleased to see a South African assassin appear.
"The job is done, mister president"
"Good, this should destabilize the people and leave us to walk right in as peacekeepers."
"Yes, this will be a great victory for South Africa."
"Yes now get out and finish the job."
"Detonation is in 3 minutes. Goodbye."
The assassin left the monitor on, showing Jose's dead body. Minutes later a loud explosion rung out and the connection was cut. Zuma smiled.
"Get the men on the Angolan border to move in 48 hours. Our insurgents have begun spreading unrest across Angola and their president is dead." He told a general.

Jafar Albagdagi looked at the map of the world, he had several options to strike, he could move north and take out Armenia and Azerbaijan, he also could strike west and take out Syria, giving them access to the Mediterranean sea ,it's trading ports, more people to tax and serve in it's armed forces, and a bigger bonus to the economy, which while not struggling, was a bit hurt. he remembered that the Persian Cyrus the Great would not want to upset the Soviet Bear as it slept, and so invading North would not be an option. South to Kuwait would be easy, he just did not want to make the same mistake as Hussein did and lure the american eagle out of hiding,so he had just two options left, take out Syria, as he had already planned, or go for Afaganistian and hope India or Russia would not care about some rocky shithole in the middle of nowhere. he decided to ask both of their governments if they wanted to join Iranraquistan, and help create a purely muslim world. Grabbing a type writer, he began to craft a message to the leader of Afghanistan.

According to a recent study done by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as determined that China has no more drinkable water due to heavy pollution. The Chinese government, although strong economically and militarily, might just be ended by their environment. If they hope to grow anymore, they must solve the issues with their environment.

In other news, revolts have started in French Guiana, a colony of France in South America. Some see it as a overlord, while others see it is a docile ruler. In any means, France must respond to the recent revolutions in their largest colony.

It was no secret that the country of Bangladesh, formally known as east Pakistan, had had stressed relations with India.

Hell, I'd be cautious to if my entire border was surrounded by the second largest country in the world, with a majority religion that was often at odds with my own. The Commonwealth ambassador sat in his embassy next to the crowded streets of Dhaka, guards keeping a tight watch outside in the busy market. He was to meet with the patrons of this country, to strike up a deal, hopefully, if all went well.

He received a message on his phone from his informant, and looked to read it.

The atrocities in Africa were not going by unnoticed. One man in particular who was taking note was Nadeem Ismail. He is a Muslim rights blogger who gained notoriety during the formation of the union by advocating for strong protection of religious freedom laws, bringing the concerns of many in Pakistan to the forefront. Along with that he's built up a large media influence, despite maintaining his image as someone who still works from home and isn't subject to the censorship from "the man".

While we go about our everyday lives, there is a storm in our midst. We may act like it's not there, but it rages on, and on, and on. Once it starts raining, we pull out our our umbrellas and try to ignore it. When we hear the thunder and lighting, we act shocked for a moment, before taking cover and hoping it passes. As the wind begins to pick up, we'll go inside and think that we can weather whatever might come. Will, when this storm is finally hanging over our heads, we remain indifferent as we struggle not to be drowned in the deluge that comes?

What I am talking about is the most horrific case of religious persecution in human history. The way the mainstream media talks about things, I wouldn't be surprised if you had never heard about it. Sometimes we forget this far surpassed the holocaust in scale, far outnumbering it in complete devastation of lives. But just the killings alone do not cover the entire scope of this event. They have not just banned but tried to destroy Islam, seeking to get rid of the teachings of Muhammad. If the Muslim powers of the world do not act, thinking their brothers in Africa do not deserve their help, a great people who are truly of the faith will be lost.

So DEMAND action, to defend the future of the Islamic world.

Jafar Albagdagi emerged down the steps of his palace, the guards, normally napping,sprung to attention as they tried and failed to impress the president. scowling at the incompetence of his men ,he merely scoffed as he walked into his limousine, he was to visit the front line today, and he did not want to be late, peeking down at his watch, he groaned at the clock, he was going to be late, shutting the door haphazardly behind him, he lurched in his seat as the limousine drove through the crowded city streets. he was planning on modernizing the city, if just would take time and many years to do. he was thinking of huge skyscrapers and advanced north korean ballerina dancer shops all over the nation, maybe he could finally wipe out all those poor ghetto children which annoyed him so. maybe... he thought.
SLAM!
The Car lurched to a halt, Albagdagi, not expecting it and never bothered to put his seat belt on, got a nasty blow to the head by the momentum of the car stopping, hitting the seat in front of him. his first thought was one of the idiotic street urchin had done something, he then heard gunfire, making him leap out the door and take cover behind a dumpster. he saw several men in masks pulling out the driver and the co driver of the car, one of them reached for his handgun, but his digits were crushed by the mans boot, making him squeal until the armed bandit put a bullet into his brain, silencing the man with a geyser of blood. the other co driver stood up, the terrorists cursed and let loose the barking sound of a few bullets entering into the man's back, causing him to fall, twitch around a bit, and never get back up. Albagdagi was terrified, as the men came up to him, a distant explosion was heard and that got the men's attention, without thinking, the several armed terrorists ran out of the alley and more gunfire was heard.

standing up, the president walked for a good mile all by himself before he saw a handful of his late guards.
" thank fuck I found you guys, listen, there's terrorists and shit here, we need to bar off the area, get the military out here-declare martial law, invade Afganista- nevermind, just make sure you capture those suns of bitches alive, got it?"

as the men ran about,Albagdagi picked up his phone and dialed in a number.

After Belgium decided to join the French Union, the city of Brussles has changed. The flag of the French Union flies over Royal Palace of Brussels and a large building is being constructed to serve as the seat of the Department of Defense. The country seems split on the issue of French integration, a recent poll has shown that around 56% approve French integration; 5% don't care, and 39% want to remain neutral. Either way, Belgium will remain part of the Union for the foreseeable future.

The people of this nation have the right to be happy, that is why I am scheduling a referendum to take place on what the future of this nation will be. The options will be as followed:
A - Remain part of France but with higher autonomy
B - Secede from France and be independent
C - Secede from France and join Suriname
D - Secede from France and join Brazil
The referendum will be scheduled for July 1, 2030."

As Sweden has managed to get Norway into the Scandinavian Treaty, they hope that Finland will agree and will not succumb to other nations. In the Scandinavian Treaty, we do things a bit different I think. Any nation other than Sweden that joins the Scandinavian Treaty are like a Province or a state. You are able to retain and govern your people however you wish, free to do whatever like it was normal. However there are some conditions and benefits. The conditions are that you treat the Swedish with respect, you don't have to like them. You must at least allow your citizens the option to vote for the Swedish President on Election Day. You are to allow citizens the freedom to travel from Sweden to your country.

The benefits are though is:
If you are born into a country that is in the Scandinavian Treaty, you will have dual citizenship of your home nation and Sweden and can move to any nation in the union. The purpose is so that people don't complain about just being a Province of Sweden and allows people to connect with their home.

If you decide to move to any nation in said union, you are granted a place of your choosing, provided it's not a mansion unless you have the cash to pay the majority of it. This is also so that if you think about moving into another country within our borders, you won't have to spend a few months with your friend or be on the street cause you made a mistake. Unless you like that, in which case, go ahead. We just give you the option to.

These nations also have a say in the Swedish Parliament and can vote on the bills and laws that will affect them too, so we don't have isolated Provinces. The purpose of this is so we don't have a situation like the Provinces revolting against us. Like the US back in the 1700s cause the British didn't give them a say in Parliament.

Remember this. We are not one of the unions that will annex you by force. We are presenting you the option to and the things you will need to know. Because down the line, you will be annexed by someone, and it will not be to your liking maybe. But then again, you may think we are terrible. Fine, go ahead and try to be independent by yourself. You won't last long. We are giving you the option to save yourself and still preserve your identity as a nation.
