Ah. The OP did not make it explicitly apparent that nations facing an sovereignty crisis could not be invaded. I was hoping to fight the remainder of the current war as India, but if this is a new de facto rule, I'll respect that.

Though, and I say this not the criticize but merely to suggest, perhaps such rules could be placed in the OP itself as to prevent applicants by persons such as myself who will simply be rejected regardless.

Anyways, I hope your invasion (and I assume full or partial annexation) of a nuclear-armed state through the Himalayas goes well. Since I was unaware of the rule above, I will therefore rescind my application

That is a useless idea, you would probably still try to sign up as India anyways because you would have no way to know they are getting invaded.

Both Venezuela and the Caribbean League are still fighting. Ukraine is moving well into the Slavic occupied land. We and the Shanghai Pact are really making a difference. I did, in fact (as a good applicant would), read through much of the IC thread before applying, and if you see my app, it's been reflected in the app itself. I knew that India was being invaded, but had no idea that you had this OOC procedure in place. And if you put that rule in place in the OP, I imagine that future applicants would check to make sure their respective nations were not currently at war.

It's not a useless idea because, while I knew that India had no player and it was being invaded, there was absolutely no way for me to deduce that there was any sort of rule that prohibits a player from taking an invaded nation.

A player who reads the IC and skims the OP of the OOC will have no way of knowing that there is this precedent, if you do not update the OP. As such, I would push back and argue that it's not a useless idea (and there's no need for you to be so utterly dismissive really) but instead a decent one that would've saved both parties a bit of grief.

And either chose another nation or leave the forum. Unless India is going to give China the lands demanded, then you'll have to wait, exit the forum, or chose another nation.

I understand that a normal applicant would just leave, and that I am somewhat taking this out of proportion compared to the trouble it caused me--that is to say, some minor annoyance. That being said, it was simply an attempt at a semi-helpful suggestion and I only furthered the debate because I didn't believe that you should dismiss the idea so quickly as "useless."

Of course, considering I have already rescinded my application, I fully understand that there is no place for me in this RP--at least not as India--and that is fine. That being said, this RP has piqued my interest somewhat, and I'd love to consider other alternative nations to roleplay. Until then, I will take my leave of this thread as requested.

Just do something going over the complete political change in Australia and New Zealand being annexed. That way you are just giving your opinion so it will be fine.
