Concept
The main setting is a heavily wired and fortified settlement known as Nex, presided over by the Supervisor Borg known as Oracle who rests at the heart of the settlement with ties to every facet of the community. Oracle is assisted by seven thinkers known as the Minds who act as her advisors. The main interests of Nex lie in maintaining a power supply, savaging for spare parts, and with both keeping Nex functional. Nex has little to offer outsiders save the skills of it's residents- though as Androids where built to serve, and thus may be seen as nothing more then property, the Oracle is weary to allow any to leave, nor to allow outsiders entry with out cause. This isolation has generated suspicion from the wastelanders. Rumor of Nex being a haven for the Created, a faction of Androids who seek to overthrown mankind and destroy all organic life, is abundant.

I mention this as Nex has a major issue, it's main power supply has ceased for unknown reasons. That Supply was broadcast from a station many kilometers away. A small band is being sent to discover what has ended the broadcast, and to restore power before the settlement runs out of reserve power. The shortage could cause unmatched destruction. Oracle foresees four likely possibilities for the result of the shortage- desperate looting for power, the complete shutdown of herself and thus all the defensive systems she is connected to, or that when the situation is most dire- that Nex will reach out to it's neighbors- offering servitude in exchange for life. In order for either three or a combination their of to be avoided, the players must trek a great distance and restore power.

Character Creation
Image
Players will decide a gender matrix, personality, physical appearance, and type for their character to be. Their are many models but types are what the Android model is classified as. Thinkers have weak bodies but high intellect. Workers have high strength but lack the complex knowledge of the Thinkers. Warriors are balanced and programmed for combat. These where police, and soldiers of the old world. Workers 'morally' are unable to kill but are capable of restraining, and of killing- it just feels wrong to them as it goes against their consciousness (code). Their is a fourth type of android known as the cyberoid- the Cyberoid was a mass produced cyborg. Clones whose tissue was grown around a metallic framework. They are close to Humans in that they do not completely fit in with the rest of Android society. They are not created with some purpose. They where created to please mass demand for servants- which is why when Androids did rebel in the Old World- it was Cyberoids who made up the bulk of the rebel forces. The rebellion however was only a small factor in the destruction of the old world- for mankind had their own social issues to war over.

NPCS
Oracle
Image
Oracle is registered as a Supervisory Borg on the network. Not much is known about her, save that she survived the social upheaval that destroyed the civilizations of the old world. Nex in general hasn't devoted much to uncovering the truth concerning her past, even while many suspect that she isn't what she claims to be. Nex has for the most part accepted that Oracle is the Nexus of the machines in the community, and handles data from various sources fluidly. She advises and presides over the Oligarchy (the Minds), but has no official position save to be the voice of Nex as a whole, which has lead outsiders to mistakenly believe her to be sovereign in the 'Queen of the Collective' sort of way. Though individuals are connected to the Nexus only at certain terminals through out the community.
A light in casing is still a light.
Tomorrow is made today.
You can't stop progress, but you can direct it's course.
