Yep.

Wouldn't exactly call it anticlimactic. Lacking, perhaps, but it works for the Dark Elves plenty.

Hey, anything to be on the good side of the scary ones that literally need to painfully kill people in order to survive.

They're nice people, really.

Yeah, but its still nice when they like you enough to kill someone else when they are low on deep elves to raid.

So who's the player controlling the sand elves ?

I think Ik controls all of them since they are playing an Elf-Goddess, and no-one apped as any of the Elves (To my knowledge).

I think now would be a good time for the Prince of Terzi to step in.

I basically treat all the elves as my little NPCs. Feel free to pick an elf character up if you want, though.

Feel free. Though you kinda missed Edwyn maiming a prince, throwing him to the Dank Elves, and freeing his hostage.

I'm more like considering the establishment of a human colony and irrigation of a small desert coast on the Sand self territory, while sending missionaries over to learn of Elvish culture from that toehold.

It'd be possible, although the Sand Elves aren't your only threat. There are supposed to be nomadic humans around the area as well.

I'll simply edit it to say that I was slow with my response :lol2: it isn't incorrect!

Oh, and before you ask, Prince Perceval is absolutely cockblocking Edwyn. He wants his answers! I intend for him to act as a sort of Timon-And-Pumbaa "party mentor" to Edwyn, to help him appreciate life and grow past the depression of his dying family better while giving him a safe place.

Welp, Edwyn is now trying to be as polite as possible with Perceval since he actually has to be diplomatic with the Leader of a Sovereign realm, as opposed to the lord of some Vassal City-State who had literally just broken about seven separate laws concerning pointing swords at Royalty.

Mm, perhaps another culture to influence.

It'll be a small colony, say an initial group of several hundred. Slowly it'll grow to a couple thousand depending on interactions and supplies from Kozakura, while they try to dig canals within the settlement to stimulate moisture in the sand. We'll be planting lots of rice. While wheat draws nutrients out of the soil, farming of rice on terraces could stimulate the conversion of sand into soil. Maybe it would become a farming community selling food to the Sand Elves at low prices.

Well, the Sand Elves are kinda like Egypt: They produce way more food than they'll ever need in a very condensed space.

The land they're on right now actually underwent rapid desertification centuries ago, leading partially to the collapse of Arthdeyrnas, the last time all of the Elves were a single breed.

Still their populations are pretty small due to the condensed community and production of excess foodstuff due to not having enough population to consume them?

That's not really how populations work. They produce excess foodstuff because, like Egypt, their river is terribly efficient at making their farms productive.

But yeah, I think Edwyn has the perfect setup for a fantasy novel series:
>Dead parents
>Out of touch with how plebs live
>Cute Elf
>Cockblocking friend with a spooky accent
>King who killed a bunch of people to get where he is now
>A Knife-eared Targaryen blabbing about the plans to take the halflings to Isengard
