Kozakura is teeming with monsters too. The underground caves of the Central Mountains are still unexplored. Who knows, you might stumble upon a King's hoard of precious metal!

We've inadvertently birthed a "noob zone".

You like tables? I like tables!

(Today at work, I had a bit of off-time) For the following table I took my duchy's size and assumed a 2% military ratio and thereby got a population. A approximated every nations size in squares and a population density and therefrom calculated the other populations.
All the way to the right I added my personal take on military population and resulting troop quality for medieval times. 6% really just means giving some dudes a pointy stick and rusty metal shard and telling them: You guys rush that knight and when his sword gets stuck in one of your bodies, the others tackle him down, pull his helmet of and ram those thinks into his face. (Something that probably does not work, because people usually are to afraid to belong to the 1-3 people that will inevitably die before the others can overwhelm the professional soldier) (Okay, I guess a real spear or axe and a wooden round shield would be in, as well as a three-week crash course on how to use those weapon once or twice in the poor levyman's life (during the winter month when you can't do anything on the fields anyway)

(Sorry for the decimal comma, my Open office is German ;))

If you wonder, the total population in this case would be 9.416 million people.

I took the population numbers from some site I lost the link from, if you want to compare it to your estimates, you can multiply the numbers with 2.59 to get the people per square mile.
As a baseline I used medieval Europe round about 1500, give or take a century (population was fluctuating there quite a bit depending on whether you counted right before or after a wave of black plague  )
I set Vitellia, Castorhold, Terzi and the High Elves a bit higher because they have the "perfect climate belt" (although this does not really make sense at this scale but let's ignore that for now) and coastline
I set the Crownlands a little lower because far reaches of their land are steppe. Nordland and Albion are a little lower for being much Tundra and Cinderlands even lower then that for really having just rocks, lava and ice, which probably looks incredibly cool but is hard to exploit agriculturally.

Now the problem that comes with this is, that you can also calculate the absolute distances with that. And that would be 8000 km² per square = ca 90*90 km per square = ca 60*60 miles per square.
In other words, the central continent is about as big as the Hispanic peninsula! (Which works with the aforementioned 9 millions. In 1500 it was somewhat below that, because it was not as densely populated as France or Italy but in 1600 it got to the 9 and quickly to 10 million.
- I guess, we all imagined it slightly bigger. ;)

We can scale the distances by 2 and thereby the area and population by 4. In that case we would definitely start do be somewhere reasonable and close to the population numbers that flew around in this thread before, iirc. However in that case, we should either be proportionally increasing the armies, too, or we accept, that in this game we will have unlikely small military numbers. - And really, I would be okay with small armies the only thing that really matters is, that we agree on one model

Property: He is in charge of Castorhold, and owns most of its land and resources which he distributes to vassals. He resides in a few palatial estates around Castorhold, with his main residence being near the woodlands that are in the north west of the kingdom. But frequently resides in the south east to keep in contact with the miners, slavers, and financiers, but trusts his dukes and lords to keep there realms in order so he doesn't need to hip hop all over the place.

Edwyn/Whatsherface will be finishing their interactions as soon as Ik's post is up. Aside from that, I dont think anyone is in an important conversation currently.

This isn't a matter of his emotional state: she's been entirely unhelpful in answering anything thus far, even raising more questions than he might've started with.

This is how deities have fun these days.

This isn't a matter of his emotional state: she's been entirely unhelpful in answering anything thus far, even raising more questions than he might've started with.

This is how deities have fun these days.

I am referring more to why he makes such illogical decisions in these interactions. :P

He could but they don't keep for very long. A week, ten days if you keep them in the fridge, which is never convenient.

And she's an enabler.

Why would the murder of the King be "several month" ago? I mean after that, gathering the Lords of the realm should be such an urgent matter, that you can expect the summit to be within 10, maybe 15 days iirc the news of Cesar's death traveled through the roman Empire in 3 days or something and our streets are even better.

I don't know, but let's not get to complicated. Let's just say things needed to be handled and cleared up before the summit could happen or maybe it's just tradition.

Theoretically, the one organizing is also the murderer, so...

Edited my app. I am unsure about appearance and am debating between William Lyon Mckenzie King and R.B.Bennett as an appearance. How does the rest look though?

I wonder why everyone keeps questioning me over Edwyn not being the brightest guy of the bunch when he is depressed, drunk, and in fear for his life.

Perceval believes Edwyn may be a little "special", but as a crown prince it's not like you can just stick Edwyn on a peasant farm and let him live a simple, fulfilling life. Therefore, Perceval will try to help him work past his "obvious disability" as best he can.

I'm just trying to figure who I could blame the murders on and who I can trust with the information ICly.

Can't trust the Prince of Terzi with the info. He's not on the murderer's side, though he doesn't know who the murderer is yet.
