Scholarships weren't enough and he didn't want to go into debt. So he joined the Army instead

Eberhardt's endorsement honestly would not be that big a deal, mostly gaining some favor with the libertarian/youth wing of the Republican party, and perhaps snagging some conservative Libertarians. Bell, though, would be a bigger influence, helping with the military vote, and with fairly substantial influence/popularity among moderates and independents.

If anyone wants to compete for either of those endorsements, mention something IC-I can probably respond to it, though I may be offline for the next little while-going to a conference.
