I'll have to see how many rps I'm in when this rp starts (Rp Drowning causes death across the world; steps must be taken to avoid contracting it).

I had an idea for a superhero who gains powers by drinking non-acoholic drinks but shrivels up if he even touches a drop of alcohol.
Then we have a coat hanger themed superhero who operates out of his secret lair, The Closet.
This could be fun. I'll work on an interest thread.
Of course this RP could still have a great evil and a real plot and whatnot. Just know it's intended to be kind of silly and comedic. Have there been any other superhero RPs like this?

So I've been inspired with a new idea for a character RP. I have no idea how feasible it is or how many people would be interested. Might as well try.
In a world much like ours where dangerous supervillains roam, the world is kept safe only by powerful superheroes who fight for truth, justice, and the American way. This is the story of those heroes, sort of...
Introducing our superhero team, the ninth or tenth greatest team of superheroes in the country. Defined by "uncool" powers, lack of social status, and the inability to secure corporate sponsorships, our superhero team generally gets the short end of the stick. Dealing with lame supervillains and other problems that aren't newsworthy enough for fame and glamour, our heroes just have to do the best they can.
It's as much a slice of life RP as it is an action story. Our superheroes have to deal with such problems as lack of resources, bad or non-existent press, and of course the desire to move up on the superhero ladder. It's a comedic and farcical setting, I'm obviously not going with Dark Knight Returns or Old Man Logan here. That said it has room for real character interaction. It explores the day to day aspects of being a full time superhero, and the problems of not being an A-lister. Maybe your character has a genuine desire for justice, but do you want to be a D-lister forever? Maybe you want fame? Maybe you want corporate deals? Maybe you want to be called when the big time villains come around?
I don't know it was an idea.

So 'The Specials' basically. Sounds cool.

You know what I didn't intend for that. It seems my creativity is being strained. Nothing a little Mountain Dew can't fix.
The biggest inspiration is the Thunderbolts from Marvel. I also realize it's kind of like Agents of SHIELD.
