[The first Galactic Republic]

So I have an idea for an RP. It's a character RP heavy on story. Thing is it's up to the players to really investigate everything and flesh out the story. It's somewhat of a mystery RP.

The basic rundown is that players are in a mystery story where they must look for clues and escape a haunted house. The story behind the house must be discovered by the players, and things far more powerful than the players themselves lurk in the house. Players find that they are not only working to save themselves, but are working to solve the ultimate mystery of the house. Sounds like a very standard mystery story right? Well thing is it's not a house. It's a spaceship. Players aren't trying to leave a house, but are trying to return to their homeworld. Players aren't trying to solve the mystery of a haunted house, they're trying to save the entirety of the human race.

Brute force won't get you anywhere though. You must think your way out of various problems to have any chance of survival, and along the way the setting of the RP is expanded upon as players learn more about their situation.

So I see activity has really slowed down lately and that's perfectly fine, its absolutely natural for this to happen but I think its time for another phase of explosive growth and activity to happen, agreed?

I have plans for two new RPs, however because of school its unlikely for me to be able to take control of this RP, I'm gonna put them up for adoption.

The first is Ghost Riders in the Sky, its a Space Western in the flavor of Firefly and Guardians of the Galaxy where you take control of a scavenger during a time where the Galaxy is recovering from a massive Galactic War. The setting is not set in stone and so far there's only a concept so those who want to take GRitS is feel free to make the setting their own. There is no central story unless the OP wishes for one and the story is mostly arc based.

Second is [Untitled Low Fantasy Feudal RP] unlike previous iterations of Feudal RPs that I've came up with, this setting is pure Low Fantasy and not set in the world of Terra (to those who are familiar with it). The basic concept is that it is set in the continent of Aerys during a time of great upheaval. The Imperium, which has ruled the continent for the better part of 200 years is falling apart at the seams due to infighting between the Mage Houses of the Nobility which rules over the non magical folk. Meanwhile the Seers of the Isle of Tears are shuttering themselves from the outside world, fearing the prophesy of the Time of Ending, where a great force would take away the gift of magic from mankind and end the world as we know it.

The Setting is similarly not set in stone, with my only requirements being that the Nobility are all mages, some exceptions may be granted on a case by case basis.

So anybody interested?

I would be interested in doing Ghost Riders in the sky, as it is similar to an rp i plan to do called the Motley crew. But i am planning an rp, Of Artefacts and Antiquities, and that will ake up my time.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything. I'm just commenting on what I perceive as recent trends.

That second idea sounds too generic to really stand out. Maybe it's just because you're giving us the basic premise, but remember that medieval fantasy stuff is really common here and what's going to make it stand out?

I've had sci-fi ideas of my own similar to the first idea so I think it's worth fleshing out.

I had ideas for sci-fi RPs that are similar to yours Ghondra so I'd be happy to help you worldbuild.

I'm admittedly less interested in the fantasy one, but I also had an idea for a fantasy RP. It's pretty different than yours but maybe if you wanted ideas it could help you.

It is not in other rps exactly that the Noble Magic users is seen exactly, but it is often seen in literature. I would be willing to help with the Sci Fi rp.

Death Came to Call: Modern, Murder mystery rp, happens in a private mansion on an equally private island. I will not be giving much info, so as to not spoil the whole rp, I hope you understand. A party thrown for the child of a wealthy individual is happening on a private island.

That Which Goes Bump in the Night: Group of people who both hunt Cryptids and study them. Occasionally they will eliminate if they are hostile. Once they were like normal humans, but a common event brought them together. Recently they were forced to hire more people to combat the strangely growing incidents and occurrences. They are vaguely funded by both the government, and a Cryptid documentary they film, among a few other things. Supernatural, Adventure, Modern.

Tombstone: Shattered follows the aftermath of the Shootout at the OK Corral. Except here Wyatt Earp and all his brothers were killed. Doc holliday took revenge and massacred the entire Outlaws group the Cowboys, except for the second in command who was able to escape. Doc died shortly afterwards due to his illness. Shortly after Docs funeral the Second in command came back to Tombstone and took control of the town and the surrounding area after symbolically burning down the Saloon the Earps had run there. The Rp would take place in 1883 and I will flesh out whether this will follow which of the numerous movies or the real events more, given a twist so it can be an rp. Western, Action, Adventure, Survival.

Of Men and Monsters: While we have all heard legends about monsters and magic, it was only recently that either was found to exist, officially anyways. It was in the year 2010 on October 30th that it happened, all shows and the like were interrupted, and replaced by a strange broadcast. It has been 6 years since then, and after a few years of riots and the like, things have calmed down. A task force made of both humans and those of a less mundane nature was formed. They are responsible for solving strange crimes, possibly involving Monsters as well as capturing or if necessary neutralizing any rogue hostile Monsters. Modern, Supernatural, Mystery.

The Motley Crew: The year is 2160, and humanity has explored much of the Milky Way, but nearly 6 centuries ago they discovered something rare in the last unexplored spiral arm of our Galaxy. They found a stable Wormhole that led to a whole new World. First to go, were the Settlers and people like the Pioneers of Old, next were the Mercs, mercenary companies had nearly outlived their usefullness in the Old World, but here they would prosper. Lastly came the Companies, massive organizations that controlled much of the Old World. Skip forward to the present and that is where our story begins, you will be one of several groups of mercaneries, betrayed and framed by those you worked for, and are now working free lance in one of the few areas not controlled by the Comapnies, the Rust Yard, the place where the first major space battle in the Nw World took place. A Merc Group capitalized and turned it into a haven for the scum of the world, and those of a more oppurtunistic and unsavory nature. Futuristic, Space Western, Cyberpunk, Dystopia.

So I'm always up for a superhero RP but I don't really have the time to focus on my own right now. Are there any successful ones from the past anyone would be interested in rebooting?

If I rebooted one I would do so with permission of course.

Basically it is after either the Cold War or WWII and Heroes are no longer needed and the public had turned against them due to things that happened after the war.

I dont have much about it besides a vague concept.
