Welcome to the Diamond Views Hotel and Resort!
The Diamond Views Hotel and Resort is a brand-new hotel resort built in Washington, D.C., and is already seeing its fair share of unique guests. Some guests are high-profile, world leaders and politicians, while others are foreign tourists, or American guests visiting the capitol of their nation. The hotel has everything, and is located next to D.C.'s malls and famous attractions, giving guests the opportunity to mingle and make friends.
The Diamond Views Hotel and Resort was completed in 2016, and the project was headed by Jakob Sturven. A lover of art, music, and architecture, Sturven spent several years drawing and designing the hotel before settling on a unique design that mixed contemporary art with older styles. The hotel includes an indoor pool, a tanning salon, a gym, and several cafés, restaurants, and a bar. It is maintained with over two hundred employees, and Sturven himself frequently walks the building, admiring his work.
However, the building isn't perfect. Sturven included a 13th floor, mainly because he didn't believe in the stories of bad luck revolving around the number, and people rarely try to stay on that floor. A paranoid guest gave the Diamond Views its first negative headline when she said she saw a "robed, withered little man" walking around on the 13th floor. The hotel staff thoroughly inspected the floor, finding no such thing. Stories of ghosts and other strange happenings soon surrounded the Diamond Views, but Sturven dismissed them all, claiming they were fabricated by other businesses in the area to steal away his profit.
The summer season of 2018 is oddly large for the Diamond Views, and some guests had no choice but to stay on the 13th floor.
Rules:
1. I'm the god, and I run the hotel. If any guest starts getting out of hand, they will be kicked.
2. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE interaction between characters. If you do not try to interact, you will be kicked.
3. Characters can find romance, but keep it PG-13 and don't go into detail about a sexual relation.
4. Be an ass all you want in the IC, but any asshole behavior in the OOC will result in a kick.
5. Mary Sues/Gary Stus/perfect characters will be denied. You're a human being. You're not perfect. And no one likes a perfect character.
6. TG me if you're having a problem with another player, or if you just want some advice. I don't bite. ;D
7. One-liners will not be tolerated.
8. Character limit is 3, and the use of real people is permitted.
9. Please have fun. If you're not having fun, TG me, and I will find some fun for you.
