In the Lore it tells your most everything you need. For now just add this:

The Vale is to the Northeast of the Reach with the Reach being mostly in the middle. To the north of the reach is Norvaag. The Nordic Lands. To the West is Valyar a land of volcanoes and fire. To the south of the Reach is the Province of the Dwarves and it is occupied by the Akounate.

You don't wanna go in blazing and attract the whole stronghold. You want to slyly sneak in and out. That's where Abus' spells of illusion and manipulation come in handy. Let's note the fact that Death's Pass is the only stronghold for hundreds of miles most likely and also is a highly strategic and important stronghold which the Reach/Valyar/Vale, whoever controls it, would guard very heavily. A half dragon won't do shit.
