And the Niktal themselves are pretty much stronger, faster, and bigger than most every other species. Except the velocitans. They're faster

How so? My nation is entirely comprised of obligate telepaths with a predator mindset. There are no comms to hack, no codes to unlock, and they're better than most everyone at psionics by the sheer virtue that it's the only way they can communicate. They range between 2.5-3 meters tall, average at 180-something kilograms, and can lift things two to three times their weight with relative ease. They're built to fight on the ground. Even if you get around the fleets, no way is anyone beating the Niktal without just firebombing the planets from orbit.
