Backstory: Orphaned at a young age, Ryou's early life is not as well known. Picked up by a farming family of a town near North City, Ryou joined a certain martial arts school as a young age to become a martial artist, and to hone in his Ki skills in hopes of becoming the World Martial Arts Champion. Born with incredible strength, Ryou used his natural strength and overwhelming courage to trump over most opponents, even after being beaten senseless by them in some situations, and, worse, at the verge of death. By 11, Ryou was a finalist in the World Martial Arts tournament. However, Ryou had met his match, who would later turn out to be his best friend (and his crush), and a fewllow orphan. Her name was Cress Ramos [Rn knows who I'm talking about]. At the beginning, Ryou proved to be the stronger one as he smacked around the girl like a ragdoll, backing her into a corner like an animal. In an unknown boost of power, Cress suddenly became the one who was kicking Ryou's ass senseless, as her Telekinetic abilities and pent up rage led to Ryou almost dying, in a pool of his own blood, at the floor of the arena. Ridden with guilt of what happened, Cress immediately forefeit the match and fled the arena. However, Ryou, who was revived by his mentor by a Senzu bean, stopped Cress at the entrance with an offer: He suggested she come with him to train with Ryou's legendary master, who owned a famous school that raised powerful Martial Artists like themselves. She complied, and the two have been best friends since.
Flash forward 8 years, to present day. Ryou met the Galactic Space Pirate Koba for the first time on Earth. Realizing whom the invader was, Ryou was very hostile, refusing to give up information to the Heran warrior.. until he was beaten to a pulp swiftly by the overwhelmingly powerful Koba. Ryou was among the few to be lucky enough to escape earth when it exploded.. but unlucky enough to be imprisoned aboard Glacia's ship currently floating away from the ruined earth. However, when a certain quartermaster came to Ryou's cell ordering him to step out, he saw this as an offer of freedom and complied.
Power Level: : Roughly around 1,000 or so. Ryou's trained with a certain school, and is capable of making his power level go higher by powering up and such.
Powers and Abilities:
- Superhuman Strength: Training for so many years has made Ryou a monster strength wise, able to preform feats of strength thought impossible and almost on the level of Saiyans.
- Supernatural Speed: Ryou is capable of using his ki to boost his speed to a level where he can appear as an afterimage to his opponents.
- Ki: Ryou is capable of manipulating his spiritual and physical energy for things such as blasts, beams, flight, and shields. He is capable of hardening his skin with ki to make it more resilient to attacks, and is very skilled when it comes to sensing ki.
- Human Physiology: Humans are born with a natural aptitude, and Ryou is no exception. He's a skilled fighter who is capable of mixing unorthodox tactics in his battle to trump over other fighters, and can memorize attack patterns as well. Humans are also capable of sensing ki much more effectively than other races, and more accurately.
- Courage Empowerment: Ryou is an extremely perseverant individual, who does not back down in fights, despite being outgunned. He does not give up easily, and does not go down easily, either. This can be a blessing to him, and at the same time a curse, that endanger his life. Some of his attacks use his courage as a weapon, too.
Attacks/Combos:
- Ki Cannon: Even Ryou's basic Ki blasts are strangely powerful, evident in his Ki cannon, his basic ki blast.
- Destructo Disc: A powerful disc of ki energy that, while it is unguided and fairly inaccurate, is capable of slicing through most everything it touches with ease.
- Spirit Missile: An attack Ryou forged partially himself. It uses his own personal willpower and courage and good energy to form an accurate, fast bolt of concentrated ki energy that, while inaccurate, deals a load of damage to those with bad or negative energy in them.
- Courage Bomb: Ryou's trump card, that usually leaves him with little to no energy left. Dependent on his perseverance and courage, Ryou's Courage Bomb is essentially, a larger Spirit Missile, which, if charged to its full extent, is capable of creating a massive crater of death. Doesn't necessarily do much damage on those who are morally good.
- Courage Boost: Ryou is capable of channeling his energy into a temporary boost of power, in which his ki output, ki gain, and strength are boosted temporarily.
- Z-Force Rush: Named after a long forgotten plan for a team that Ryou and Cress had, Ryou's Z-force rush works great with two people, but is usable with one person. It consists of a few high speed punches, kicks, and a point blank slam, in which Ryou launches the enemy down with two hands, with a Spirit Missile unknowingly in their hands.
Weaknesses:
- Mind Control: Ryou's mind is apparently weak to Psionics.
- Magic: Ryou cannot counter magic, or attacks of magical nature.
- Overwhelming Courage: Ryou's overwhelming courage can also be dangerous, when he enters a fight he can't win. This often can make his life be on the line, which it is, constantly.
- Cress: Ryou is both weaker than Cress, and also somewhat dependent on her. If Cress is hurt, Ryou can blindly rush into battle to attack whomever hurt her. He's very protective of her, considering he's the only family she had, and vice versa.
