Not sure if Akira Toriyama ever gave a reason for them having Super Saiyan

Probably just for Gotenks honestly. The Buu saga was the only story arc where Toriyama didn't have an editor over his shoulder.

Also, in example, Tabbis's daughter won't have the genes needed to ascend.

He's a bit like the George Lucas of Japan xD

Actually, in my opinion, the Frieza Saga was quite a lot weaker than the Android Saga in terms of writing. The Zenkai boost was never mentioned before and was never mentioned after it, and it's sole reason for existence was that the heroes could keep up with an absurdly overpowered villain. It also set the trend for huge power jumps between and during the sagas, and it's storytelling was way too linear - heroes fight a villain, heal, do some powering up things, from Zenkai to Guru, and repeat until the saga ends.

An another trend it set was a lot of powers and other shenanigans being pulled out of nowhere. Dende's healing, Guru's potential unlock, the aforementioned Zenkai boosts, even Super Saiyan fit into this category.

I like the Frieza Saga the most because the villain is much more clearly defined with much higher stakes. The Androids are basically mindless killing machines with the sole goal of killing Goku. Frieza is a galactic tyrant who threatens the whole universe. Plus, the fact he i responsible for the destruction of the Saiyans because he feared them makes his defeat much more satisfying.

I know it's a matter of opinion, but that's why I like the Frieza Saga more.

Rnclave, IDK if you remember, but i had said that I would be going on a road trip about a week ago. Well, I cancelled it and decided to fly. I'm flying out to New York to my vacation home tomorrow, but like I said before, I will be able to get on and post at least once or twice a day. I just wanted to let you know that I'm flying tomorrow and Tuesday, but I will try to get on while I'm traveling.

I remembered but I thought you'd already gone, whoops :P

Also, in the DBS manga, Goku went SSG instead of using Kaio-Ken

I would like there to be a limit on the number of SSJ running around, but that's a decision for the OP and/or group.

That's why I suggested there be only three/four Super Saiyans per generation and given how much slower this will be in comparison to DBG it take a while for the second generation of saiyans to pop up. (Most, if not all, will be half saiyan)

I guess I'm sort of ruled out of this one, since Kuro was the first (and only) to ascend in DBG.

Aaand who's the only remaining Saiyan weakling with little to no combat experience or drive to battle to pull a huge satisfying turn to become the strongest?

That's right. :p

I did like the Frieza Saga much more as well because it showed that while Zenkai boosts can allow you to overcome powerful enemies, pure downright training will get you much farther. Goku actually trains on the way to Namek while Vegeta relies on Zenkai boosts. Goku is the one who defeats the Ginyu Force and is shown to be much stronger than Vegeta. Plus, when fighting the Ginyu Force, the audience really feels the distress that Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta are in, because Recoome is kicking the crap out of Vegeta, and for those who watched the Saiyan Saga, that was kind of scary. You could feel their helplessness, since not even Vegeta, who was much stronger than Goku in the last Saga, is getting his butt whooped. Gohan almost even DIES. When Goku shows up, he beats Recoome into the ground, and there we see the power difference between Goku and Vegeta.

I figured that since you're Jewish that you're the only one who's okay to joke about it

You know, according to the internet, saying that anyone is worse than Hitler makes you a nazi supporter (I'm saying this to mock the people who actually called me a Nazi because I said Stalin was worse than Hitler on the premesis that Stalin killed more people. I am not condoning, supporting, encouraging, or even remotely agreeing with anything that EITHER of them did, especially Hitler, I am just saying that if comparing the amount of people killed, Stalin is worse than Hitler. Hitler is worse than Stalin in many ways, but the way that I was pointing out was with killing, and in that regard, Stalin is worse than Hitler. Saying this does not make me a Nazi supporter, as I was accused of being. I despise everything the Nazis did and stood for and knowing that you are Jewish, I'm sorry for even bringing this up)

Yes, we joke about the ugliest things (case in point), but in this instance it would be like Armenians making jokes about the Armenian Genocide.

Anyway, less Holocaust, more other stuff. Is a ship with Aonori taken?
