1. SPARTANS being taken via helicopter from WACO means that it will take several hours for them to arrive.
2. Your SPARTANS are essentially some athletic types with moderate training, high on a cocktail of psychosomatic drugs, dulling pain, feelings of invincibility, spiking physical performance via stimulant, and presumably wearing AR500-based battle suits. Surgery would have some bone reinforcement, primarily, but not much beyond that. Most of your two thousand recruits would have died horribly in surgery, training, or via the drugs, so these are most of what is left.

EDIT: If they are sneaking around, then drop the AR500.

Good question. Probably near a million. We have at least 150,000 in the Delmarva theatre, (though civilians inflate that, depends on what you mean by "die in battle") probably another 20,000 in assorted fights elsewhere in the east. Nuclear strikes, if you count that as a battle, kill another 30,000, Detroit, I would have to check my notes, but that was c. 15-20,000. Columbus had a lot of casualties, somewhat less fatalities, I believe approaching 50,000, or perhaps slightly over. In California, you are looking at a little under 50,000 of California's real soldiery, 10-20,000 Texans/Mexicans, and then over 300,000 Militia casualties, of which probably 150,000 or so are actual fatalities. Californian militia casualties are around 20,000, probably a little lower, actually, and their conscript casualties are over 100,000. Within the UPE is the last bit, in actual battle casualties, I think that ended up around 30,000. Someone needs to telegram Hillary and call him back.

So, just going off of memory and not checking, somewhere around 600,000, with some leeway on both sides, meaning that we are on the verge of beating the Civil War.

Oh, wait, hold up, I missed some fighting. Campbell adds 10,000, another 10,000 with the Buckeye war with Erie, and another five for Texas, seven for AU/Stull in the Eastern threatre. So, make that more like 630,000.

Yes they will. They left from Western Texas not Dallas. It's only a two hour journey so they are there.
