I tweaked my app slightly just because i was initially expecting to have a smaller landmass and so a smaller population, i've simply adjusted my population to just under half a million and just under 100,000 combat ready soldiers to account for the larger landmass i have.

So after some thinking, and staring at maps, and population figures.... I think I'm going to do what Ubaria has done, and increase my population. I've got massive swaths of jungle, and only 8000 soldiers, and 180 000 people. I'm going to raise my military to 60 000 (0.2% of my population) with a population of 300 000. That sound reasonable? Cause I was only expecting to get the southern part of the jungle, not the entire thing and then some.

Although I believe that's 20% of your population in the military, not 0.2.
