As for the people that wanted to trade for my guns and cannons, I'm planning to send treasure ships across the world (basically, similar to this), conducting trade and bringing the riches back to the Empire.
Well it appears my Pirates will get more of the not needed currencies.

Indeed.
In this time period, only 25% of my army is equipped with muskets. Muskets have not yet become cheap to manufacture, so it would be too expensive to equip my entire army with guns.Shadowwell wrote:Well it appears my Pirates will get more of the not needed currencies.
Good luck trying to take on these beasts.

My Pirate ships are made to ram into ships opening holes and allowing Orks to enter, through the ram. we also have Catapults, and they don't need to breath exactly (the Orks).

That is, if they can get close.
The Galleons would blow them out of the water with their cannons. And if they managed to board, the sailors will arm themselves with muskets and blunderbusses and shoot them.
@Trotza- Then I will just make them large carracks.

So the crews will all be armed with gun's? even though earlier you said they wouldnt be widespread, kind of contradicting yourself arent you, besides who says the gun's would be able to deter hundreds of Orks?

I said 25% of my army was equipped with muskets. We are talking about my navy (which has far less personnel in it then the army).
And as I said earlier, to raid our ships, you would first have to avoid being blown out of the water by our cannons.

At this point, avoiding cannon fire isn't exactly hard. Low rate of fire, inaccurate, shit range

Which would have been taken out earlier by the airial Warbeasts Dropping orks. Besides what makes your cannon's so good? I could just pull a Francis Bacon to take out your treasure fleets.

I wouldn't necessarily argue for a weakness to their ships. This is the age where some forms of warfare begin to show their age, whilst not yet dying out. If ships of the line weren't so effective then galleys would've still been popular outside the Mediterranean.
Rather, I would argue that his strengths aren't necessarily that great.
