He was hit and beat often until he met someone. His best friend Patrick O'Conner. They met when a group of bullies decided to pick on him and Pat objected violently to the bullies action. They were friends ever since. They would often get into fights with other bullies in the neighborhood, and win as much as lose. One day Jesse stood up to his father with his friends and his families help. He got carted off to jail and Jesse life looked to be on the up and up.
Pat and Jesse where inseparable in school together. And both graduated. They bummed around the town awhile moving from job to job, bored out of their minds. Until Pat had the idea that they should join up, on a whim. Jesse shrugged and went along with it. They both enlisted the Marine Corps soon after and shipped off to Basic. It sucked for them. But then they got out and got to soldiering. Jesse and Patrick had found there niche.
They entered combat for the first time in area know as the Sandbox. It was light tour. Then they moved to the area called Savaa Valley, or Suicide Valley. There was heavy with enemy activity and it was an eventful tour. Both of them received commendation for bravery under fire. after this tour certain people took notice of them and they were transferred over to more discreet units. There they carried out numerous black operations together with a team. Here they served their country loyal for many years until one day.
Jesse, Patrick and their Joint Special Operations Team were sent an very special mission. Only problem was that someone betrayed them and the mission to attack a meeting of terrorist and financiers. They managed to kill ll of them but lost half the team and were disavowed by the government. The group was bitter and resentful and decided to go mercenary.
Over the next several years the group was successful on its job and always manged to find employment and make money, lots of money. But over the years through combination of double cross. drug over doses and plain bad luck winnowed the group down to just Patrick and Jesse. They took one last job intending, to retire after it, for a Columbian drug lord. As expected they were double crossed. The drug lord got little supernatural help and managed to kill Patrick O'Conner but Jesse Overhill got away. Deavsted by the loss of life long friend and battle buddy. Overhill swore revenge. He struck a deal with demon to get the power to control fire and explosions for his empathy. He then carefully plotted his revenge and after six months put his plan into motion. Within in the week the drug lord was dead his family dead and his entire blood line extinguished and his cartel destroyed.
After this Jesse whet back to being a mercenary but now with legendary reputation. He eventually found his way to the League of Villains after a number of years of roaming the planet killing people for lrge sums of money.

Personality: Subdued, but can show outbursts of passion from time to time especially related to fire and explosions. Seems to be lazy most of the time. Pyromaniac. Sociopath. Occasionally suffers from depression. Alcoholic. Cool clam and collected in fight. Extremely ruthless and morally flexible.

Bio: Pitch Black was born in the city of Manehatten. Not knowing who his parents were or what happened to them, he grew up in an orphanage. Pitch Black found himself quite charismatic, even at a young age, and formed a small gang with some of his peers. He and his gang would pick on their younger fellow orphans and extort them.

During his school years, Pitch Black immediately showed a great talent in magic, in which he gained his cutie mark, and was transfered to Canterlot School for Gifted Unicorns. The young colt thrived greatly in his studies and practices in magic, but he wanted more, gaining a thirst for power. Pitch Black began to study the darker, forbidden arts with hope of gaining unlimited power, but this began to take a toll on his mind, making him psychotic and sadistic. He was ultimately cought at the age of 15, experimenting on several of his fellow students, whom he also killed with his magic.

Pitch Black was exspelled from his school and banished from the planet Equestria forever for his crimes. However, Pitch swore revenge, vowing that one day, he will return, and all of Equestria shall bow at his hooves. Pitch Black kept this vow. Upon his arrival on the planet Earth he was discovered by the Leauge of Villains and upon seeing his power, as well as his lust for even more power, and his desire for revenge was sent to the Academy of Villians. There Pitch Black found himself at the perfect place to continue his studies and further practice his power in order to achieve his goal of returning to Equestria and conquering the world he once called home.

Unfortunately, though, Pitch Black became painfully subjected to a horrific experiment by Xenocide, which gave him an anthromorphic body. The pain and trauma from the experiment further devastated Pitch's already fragile psychie, making him more erratic, unstable and unpredictable...

Personality: Pitch Black is highly charismatic, highly witty and highly intelligent, pan/xenosexual as well as playfully flirtatious. However, he's also psychotic, sadistic, lustful for power, sassy, sarcastic, narcissistic, treacherous, opportunistic and erratically mercurial, shifting between happiness and anger on a dime. Unless he really likes someone, he sees everyone as nothing but tools for gain (while ironically being nothing more than Xenocide's tool). One could clearly tell that he's insane and even more so due to the terrible experiments forced upon him by Xenocide.
