Appearance:
Personality: In public, Axel is a friendly, likeable, and seemingly great person. People tend to let down their guard around him, which is exactly what he relies on to collect information. In private, he is arrogant and greedy, though not evil. Although arrogant, he isn't stupid, and will give up if he has no other choice. Axel also hides an insatiable curiosity, and often reads stolen documents before handing them off to his spy handlers.
Weapons: Axel has a poisoned needle up his sleeve, a bomb hidden away in his suitcase, and a knife in his boot.
Strengths: Axel is strong and charismatic, and has training with a variety of weapons. He is best, however, at close quarters combat.
Weaknesses: Axel is rather arrogant, and can make foolish mistakes because of it. He is prone to underestimating his opponent and this often comes back to bite him. He has never fully gotten over the death of his parents, and, should somebody find out this about him, it could be used to great effect.
Profession: Axel is a spy, working for the Sino-Russian Federation currently, though with no particular loyalty towards them.
Character History: Axel, originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, was born a genetically modified human, into a wealthy family. Sounds like he hit the lucky jackpot, right? Well, no. His parents were killed in a terrorist attack on his 11th birthday, which is a pretty bad present to get a kid. Instead of becoming Batman, however, Axel started burning with an intense hatred of the world, as he was taken to be raised by his uncaring and cruel Uncle, who mostly left him to raise himself. Over time, this hatred softened to a less noticeable, though no less intense, sense of superiority. As he grew older, he found he rather liked having money, almost as much as he did himself. Almost. Eventually inheriting the massive wealth of his parents, he began living something of a lavish lifestyle, wasting money on mere whims. He soon found that his parent's wealth alone couldn't keep him afloat forever. That was about when he decided to start selling state secrets. Not truly caring who ruled the world, Axel began acquiring European Federation secrets through bribery, and sold them to the highest bidder at secret auctions. Eventually, the Sino-Russian Federation offered him a deal: begin working for them exclusively, or have his operation exposed. Left with no choice, Axel began spying only for the Sino-Russian Federation, which in turn rewarded him handsomely. A few months before the present, the European Federation began getting suspicious of him. Knowing that Copenhagen was no longer safe for him, Axel fled to London, under the fake name of Adam Rosenberg, to evade detection. After settling in, Sino-Russian agents politely 'reminded' him that he still worked for them, and told him to continue spying on the European Federation. He is now finding out about something called the Grey Flood in stolen documents, and has decided to find out more.
Character's Role in the Plot: Axel is a spy in London, posing as a wealthy businessman named Adam Rosenberg, working for the Sino-Russian Federation. While in New York, he manages to find out about recent reports of the Grey Flood. Curious, he decides to investigate further. He is also planning to one day get the Russian-Sino Federation off his back.
