I said my character could survive the Kraken. I didn't say that would be by standing and fighting.

So, I wrote this for the magical factions in UK. Take a look, criticize, feel free to add things, etc.

Factions in UK

Pax Britannica:

Formed right after the end of the Napoleonic Wars, the members of this group firmly believe in the return of the British Empire as a great power, but this time, in another field of operations: The magical ones. Some say that they were the ones that avoided the definitive return of Duleep Singh to India and that rooted out magical resistance against the Empire in India. Other known activities happened in the colonies, where members of the Pax - known as Peacemakers - seized control of relics and sometimes even important people.

Even after the end of the historical period, the members of this group became tightly related to the figures of power in the 20th century. However, their enemies now would be their neighbors: The Anarchists decided to shake their tight control of the British magical community. This event created the Lists, a reflex of their orderly perception of the world:

The White List served for individuals under their control, or allies to their cause.
The Grey List is for people that are considered a danger: Often talented people that work alone, but can be called if the need for informal operations appear.
Black List, the one designed for their enemies and highly important targets.

Anarchists

If there is anarchy in the UK, the magical community of the UK wouldn't be different. These are the ones that strive to destroy the hierarchy established, and level all of them. For them, magic can evolve only in chaos, without the strict bureaucracy that some groups or orders enforce. They have a considerable number of adepts given their lack of regulations in magical research and practice.

They firmly oppose the Pax while maintaining a neutral or friendly relationship with other groups.

Demons and other creatures:

Forget the classical, cartoon view of the ones that came from Hell: In the UK, they are more sophisticated. They deal with the "soul market": They buy and sell wishes, exchanging that for souls and often tricking their "customers" into false success. Trying to run away isn't a good idea: Death or a even worse fate awaits them.

Other demons and creatures disguise themselves as humans to deal with magical paraphernalia: For normal humans, it is mostly garbage with good colors. For mages, however... These creatures can offer fine stuff that might not be found in the rest of the world. A few of them are as tricky as the demons, while others tend to choose a calmer way... However, it is up to the mage to discern who is who in this great mess.

Unaligned, independent agents & outcasts:

It is impossible to describe those through generalizations, except for the only one: They found a safe haven inside "The Queen's Court", a club that belongs to the succubus Eve. Here people with all different perspectives sit to discuss about magic, find jobs and things to buy. Inside this club memorable alliances were crafted and rivalries were made, and Eve herself is one of them: Her intentions and allies are mysterious as the ways she uses to keep the club from exploding and her clients to kill each other.
Nothing to see here, move along.

I could introduce Fabian by having him assist in slaying it. His healing power would allow him to keep another guy alive while flying them into range.

There aren't flying brooms in this specific piece of lore.

Sure.
Not even gonna make that a SS project.
Considering that the Battle of Britain was lost and it was in the first half of the war, I suppose its going to be a Wehrmacht project and the Witches get defeated during the Battle of Britain.

Because we are having issues with activity in the thread that could completely cripple an action sequence I would like to suggest that we make a short-term rule that if someone's character engages with yours and you neither reply nor give a reason for not replying on the OOC within 5 days, the engaging character's writer has the right to write your character getting beaten up in whatever amusing way they can think of.

PL, what do you think?

So what does Vaughan do now? Do we cut to him and Meliora being somehow captured or taken away or do I need to find another potential interaction?

I couldnn't find any reason to capture them for, really.

I mean, apart from confidentiality and all but since these are terrorists and not exactly preparing some grand plan that needs to be kept secret, there is no reason of them to not let some random dude live to tell the tale.

Maybe the eldritch energy exhibited from Meliora and the totem she carved to potentially regenerate them if they got hurt?
It's eldritch energy, they'd probably wonder why this random guy has it flowing around him too when they potentially retaliate on Meliora.

Sound a fair. But I also think people should give notice. A quick “yo Primordial Luxa I need a reply from you” before we make an example out of them.

A notice. I'm going to post as soon as I possibly can for both threads.
My Knights post will have a timeskip to the end of the fight and then give people more individual mission that they can work at on there own time. People are free to describe what they did during the timeskip in a little montage.
My academy post will move things along quickly and get us to the action.

I'll probably post my Heartache post [final version] after the timeskip post, and then maybe a small snippet of Alexandria or something.

If I can. Probably not, depends on how busy I am really. Sorry I haven't been able to post, life's hell right now.

No worries, part of my next post will be sending a team to deal with Heartache so just a heads up. You will need to work with whoever I assign on that mission to work out that story.

Gotcha. I'll try to post right after your timeskip post, if I can; might be tomorrow morning [US EST] at some point, tho.

After I get my post done, it is probably going to be with Heartache and most of his thrall-NPCs. And maybe a couple other really minor NPCs, no major heroes or villains or anything. Just maybe like, some gangsters or something, as Heartache begins preparations to subvert his way into control of Philly.

Meanwhile, I'm guessing the heroes have been dispatched to Philly because of a sighting of Heartache, or one of his known thralls.

I'm sure the Knights, or at least a few people, know of Heartache's powers (in a general sense).
