Mainly because of Meta-humans who frequently band together into rebel groups and Meta-warlords who are almost always fighting with the human warlords of the continent.
Just imagine if the Rwandan genocide had involved people with heat vision and the Battle of Mogadishu had a few flying Somalians.

Your free to do what you want your character would do.
I honestly can't tell you what to do but if your character is well fleshed out then I imagine you should have a good idea of what they would do.

So I have a question about the Dreamland: would real people who are/were worshipped (like pharoahs or prophets) be able to travel back and forth between the realms, or would there be 2 separate entities?

It's a fun idea but if one of the drawbacks is passengers might explode then no one is going to ride the bus.

Also, Cohen wouldn't approve that.

Can you edit the post so it's something not as bad as nuclear fission?

Fusion, I was actually waiting for you to post before giving a slight bit more exposition by Elsa.

In actuality, that was a fake recording by Teddy so the kids wouldn't be moving about the bus during transit. Because while decelerating from lightspeed+ is a lot smoother thanks to the Omnibus, it's still about the same as seeing a deer on the road, to bracing one's self is still a good idea. It has another feature of keeping the kids calm should the bus come under attack, since they'd try to leave as fast as possible, and definite death is worse than probable death.

I changed 'nuclear explosion' to 'radiation poisoning'. JJ was never seriously wanting to get off, she doesn't believe the bus is as dangerous as they're making out (one of these things is not like the others). She's just snarking becuase that's what she does.
