I'm not going to tell you to let your character get killed, that choice is up to you. But you can't go around telling people how their characters act. You are in control of Beowulf, not the fire bugs, and there for it is not your place to tell Anowa how they can act.

I'm thinking that some crazy zookeeper let all the animals in the London Zoo free before 'dying'. Yay or nay?

Beowulf Connor and Diana Macready ran as the sickos in the nearby neighborhood, attracted by the gunshot and the screams, began attacking the gang of arsonists, devouring several of them. "The leader of the group may believe that he has turned the tables on me, but that fool's desperate gambit has cost him most of his men." Beowulf Connor said with a grin as he and Diana continued their journey north, knowing that the sicko attack bought them enough time to put some distance between them and what little remained of the gang that was hunting them.

By having my characters trapped in a life or death situation, you backed me, the player, into a corner. Of course, the fact that your post assumes that they were in the alley they had left can be considered godmodding.

And the next time me or anyone else get something wrong, mention it, instead of jumping the gun. Shit builds up when people keep adding to the pile, then it tumbles down and leaves a big fucking mess. I'm not a rock, if someone mentions that I got something wrong, I'll fix it.
EDIT: Upon trying to edit my post, I noticed that I never once mention an alley. Only a pathway. So I didn't even back you into a corner.
