Military Description(Tactics, training, etc.): Arguably among the forefront of modern warfare since the inception of the steam engine in the late 1400s, and many of the final victories and securing of the Gibraltar is owed to a steam powered navy. Army(Include active duty, reserves, etc.): 135,000 total members around 12,000 active members, widely diversified with artillery, infantry, and cavalry
Navy(Include number of marines and ships, etc.): A well rounded fleet, the true gem of the Spanish armed forces. Slow moving but heavily armored supply ships with medium to small swift gunboats as escort.

Centuries of winning back strongholds in their homelands taught the Spaniards the importance of artillery and modern siege tactics. But the most powerful unit in the Spanish Armed Forces is not on horseback, or behind a cannon. It's the Combat Engineer. Borrowing tactics from the ancient Romans and applying modern technology to it, the Spaniards realize that conquering land is pointless if you're unable to keep the land, and the ability to construct fortifications and roads for supplies are skills that can mean victory or defeat in the long run. The heavy investment into industrial production will enable the Spanish army to keep the boys at the front fighting, no matter where they are.

Seeing as I reserved the land and was accepted first, I feel that my claims to the lands shouldn't be infringed. Especially since they're my heartlands.

And I'd rather spend them reclaiming the steppes for the Scythians against the Turkish invaders, or restoring ancient Israel under the Jewish descendants of Solomon, or reclaiming the Holy Land in the name of the Hospitallier, rather than those snobby Cypriots, or conquering the entirety of Africa as the Zulu, the entirety of Polynesia as Hawai'i, India as Nepal, reforming Babylon, saving the Roman Empire from its final demise in 1453 and then converting to Animism, helping the South win the Civil War and then immediately abolish slavery, or making the North secede instead, forming a Texan empire or reclaiming the US for the Cherokee, helping the Sassanid's last cadet dynasty restore Zoroastrianism to the Middle East, or conquer both sides of the Indus in the name of The Sun...

I'd rather do any of that than play the game of a franchise that's doing what Disney's been doing for a while: Putting in less effort, and expecting more money. Civ 6 looks like a damn mobile port, rather than a game in its own right. Civ 5 and prior are the superior, and Beyond Earth was a warning that the company didn't care about us anymore.

Boring as heck m80. I hate playing in the Earth, it's so repetitive. I'd rather have literally endless combinations of worlds to explore, expand, and exterminate in. Play as 43 different Civilizations, or far more with mods, than having to choose some with a set land and set in stone things such as that.

Aye, Civ V + Expansions is so perfect. Beyond Earth, blegh. Civ 6 may look mobile but it looks fucking beautiful.

There's no need to get bitter about it. I was trying to be kind by offering to sort out the differences. I have tried to keep my claims reasonable and realistic, if not less than what I could do; these claims are less than yours in area. I hope you will appreciate that.

Oh, I'm not bitter, but it is just a nuscense that when I post my application it was swept under the rug, and when I bring it up again territories I claimed initially are now taken and I have to adjust my application to account for that. We are sorting out the claim issue in a civil manner, I just want to get my foot in the door to prevent other situations like the one we have.

Your military section needs some serious work, you have no government explanation, religion ain't a culture, and you have nothing under elite units.

When they post a complete app before you do then there's tends to be accepted first.

Thank you for the acknowledgment of my application, I will tend to your concerns shortly. In the meantime I will also tend to the disputed claims in private with the nations in question.

GENERAL
Formal Nation Name: The United Kingdom/Empire of Spain and Portugal
Colloquial Nation Name: Iberia
Territory(Map Preferred): Iberia with the Balearic Islands (in Europe). Overseas claims: In South America: Honduras, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua, with the two provinces beneath the words “Caribbean Sea”. In Brazil, from Venice's claims around the "corner" of the coastline. In Africa, the Ivory Coast to Benin (colloquially called Costa de Guinea or Costa Guinea), and the smattering of islands east of Puerto Rico and above Trinidad and Tobago (known as the Lesser Antilles)
Flag/Coat of Arms: La bandera real/a bandeira real and el escudo de armas real/o brasão real
Demonym: Iberian
Capital: Madrid, Castile, Spain

GOVERNMENTAL
Government Type: Absolute Monarchy with the feudal pyramid (Peasants answer to the dukes, dukes answer to the king)
Government Ideology: "The Kingdom and the True Religion", nationalist pride and strong religious zeal. While it would pride itself on being Catholic, its multicultural past may shake things up a bit
Brief Government Explanation: The King's word is law, though a duke may propose a law. The Spanish Parliament is merely called to debate and rubber stamp the monarch or a duke's proposal.
Head of State: His Imperial Highness, King Carlos Balthasar de Habsburgo, the Second of His Name, By the Grace of God, King of Castile, Aragon, and Portugal, Unifier of the Iberian People, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of the New World and the Antilles, ect.
Head of Government: Prime Minister Don Gaspar Téllez-Girón, Duke de Osuna
Foreign Policy: It has forged a legacy off of the countless lives of generations, so it is no stranger to diplomacy. However, anywhere it can get influence, it'll take a risk.
Domestic Policy: It is gradually calling back the Expulsion and the landed gentry is advertising an Iberian renaissance, using the technology gained thanks to Italy to use it for domestic and commercial use
State Religion: Roman Catholicism

SOCIAL
Population: Including Portugal, roughly over 8.1 Million Iberians
Colonial Population: roughly 4.5 million(?)
Ethnic Groups: Castilians, Catalans, Basque, Portuguese, Aragoneses, Andalusians, Asturians, Cantabrians, Galicians, and Gypsies (the ones in bold are the primary)
Primary Culture: Iberian (A mixture of Castilian Spanish and Portuguese)
Other Cultures: Jewish, Muslim/Andalusian, Moorish

ECONOMIC
Economic Description: A scattering of strategically placed areas, importing cash crops and minerals from the New World, exporting slaves, ivory and other precious goods from Africa, as well as manufactured goods from Iberia to the rest of Europe and the world, the Antilles and Spanish Brasilia are the two nexuses of economic power exporting African and American goods to the Old World (Antilles is among the wealthiest of viceroyalties despite being the smallest due to it's position in the Caribbean). However, His Highness of Spain wishes to allow greater degrees of autonomony in his colonies in order to create an industrialized base in the New World
Industrialization Level: Similar to France and Germany. The early Spanish kings and nobility invested tons of gold into the creation of steam powered weapons and means of construction. It is only a mere hair behind Italy in terms of industrialization, and is beginning to put it to use... 7.5-8/10, would be the cultural and economic nexus in Western Europe after France again - IGN
Economic Ideology: Claim strategic areas (such as the corner of Brazil or the Lesser Antilles) and profit off of any and all trade coming to and from, we're okay with slaves (as we export them via our Brazilian and Antilles colonies)
Main Trading Partners: Morocco, Genoa, HRE, the Aztecs, France, and the British Isles
Colonial Economic Policy(If Applicable): Colonies are viewed as duchies subject to the empire/kingdom, thus they may be able to trade with other nations colonies, even ought-right rivals of Iberia to make a profit, but embargoes in times of war under the command of the King. Industrialization is gradually making its way across the Atlantic in the Antilles and Spanish Brasilia, but has focused largely on the areas of Cartegena and the Viceroyalty of Costa Grande (Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica) for unknown reasons...as well as expressing an interest in the Venetian canals in Egypt...

MILITARY
Military Description(Tactics, training, etc.): Arguably among the forefront of modern warfare since the inception of the steam engine in the late 1400s, and many of the final victories and securing of the Gibraltar is owed to a steam powered navy. Hardened with centuries of conflict, they are experts in using terrain and just about any resource to their advantage. Their tenacity is only limited by their understanding of technology and the terrain in which they would fight in. They usually are the ones who'll take the offensive, and whether they win (or on a rare day) lose, they'll at least put down some light roads for you in the countryside. Isn't that nice of them?
Army(Include active duty, reserves, etc.): 135,000 total members around 12,000 active members, widely diversified with artillery, infantry, and cavalry
Navy(Include number of marines and ships, etc.): A well rounded fleet, the true gem of the Spanish armed forces. Slow moving but heavily armored supply ships with medium to small swift gunboats as escort.
Elite Units: (Quote related) "It's not the legions who wins the war, nor the leader who commands them, it's logistics. Efficiency is what brings victory. It's not enough to conquer, we must control!" - Don Gaspar Téllez-Girón, commander during the War of the Portuguese Succession, and many, many colonial conquests. The Spaniards pride themselves on their horsemen and cannons. Her conquistadors were what secured the vast swaths of land to the Spanish Crown, and their falanges montados (mounted phalanxes), provide the swift and organized onslaught that overwhelms nearly any force, infantry, artillery, or cavalry.

HISTORY
Brief History of Nation:
Everything that one would learn about the history of Spain, only add some Steam tech (Courtesy of Setefano Lucia de la Valencia, approx 1480s)
Date of Nation's PoD: 1643, where the War of the Portuguese Restoration failed, and the dynastic union between Spain and Portugal prevailed. On September 29th, 1646, Balthasar Charles, Prince of Asturias had a riding accident that resulted in a broken ankle, thus rendering him unable to attend Queen Elizabeth's funeral in which he would contract smallpox and ultimately perish in the OTL. He later ascended the throne as Charles II of Spain (not to be confused with real life's version of Charles "the Hapsburg Sandwich/Bewitched" II of Spain.
For those who prefer timelines:
1143: Kingdom of Portugal established
20th of November, 1147: During the Second Crusade, forces from the Kingdom of Portugal take Lisbon from the Moorish forces.
14th of February, 1236: Roughly half of Iberia was conquered by the Christian forces, Cadiz is taken by the sea by Castilian forces
1309: Fernando IV of Castile takes Gibraltar
October the 18th, 1469, the marriage between Queen Isabel I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon created the dynastic union between the two kingdoms thus forming the Kingdom of Spain

That line in the picture in the water, by the way, is a dam keeping the salt-water portion of the lake out of the freshwater area that Tenochtitlan resides in.

You didn't forget, I moved Inca off the accepted list because they have conflicting claims.

Ah, I can see how that could be an issue.
