Oh. Sorry about that but it would still be devastating to loose such a city. As for the coastal invasion, I don't mean Normandy but being able to land in enemy territory effectively from the sea. How do you think we defeated Korea and Manchurian so well? Plus, this war would destroy your fleet.

Exactly, but you also risk an elongated war and by landing on sea you also risk a land war. And while your industrial your on the low end of the spectrum which wouldn't suit your favor especially as we only ever use bows for our cavalry. A problem that could arise for both us is nationalism which could turn a particular small conflict to a big one. We're both empires and the first rule of being an empire isn't letting dishonor the empire.

I've made the point before that the Aztecs care about pretty much nothing to the north, especially since that land is mostly covered by Chichimec tributary provinces, rather than anything considered core territory of the empire. The only Chichimec site the Aztecs care about is Tula, the old Toltec capital. You've likely made contact with plenty of Chichimec tribes, but the Imperial attention lies towards defending the Southern border with the Maya.

In essence, the knowledge possessed by the Aztecs of you is roughly the same of the Cherokee knowledge of the British in 1630, or perhaps the Roman knowledge of Subsaharan/Sahelian states.

I suppose. Though no one could win. You could take Manchurian but the mountains of Northern Korea would funnel your soldiers weakening your size advantage. And your navy would fall in one fell swoop with naval bombarding common. So a stalemate would be more possible.
