Tagali: Humanoid, Similar to humans, skin tone is various shades of blue, slightly taller than the average human, superb agility and speed, able to reach speeds of 20 mph, light colored hair, eyes that are capable of night vision, Omnivores, Primarily consume Meat. Founding Species of the Federation.
Taani: Second of the Original member Species of the Federation. The Taani are the diplomatic backbone of the Federation due to their more peaceful nature. Despite this, some Taani join the ranks of the Federation Military, or various pirate and PMC groups throughout the Galaxy
Maug-Lai: While the Taani are the beautiful pacifists of the Federation, the Maug-Lai are the total opposite. Thousands of years before contact with the Federation, the Maug-Lai were becoming a rising powed in the Galaxy. Their climb to power was only stopped by Solar Flares in their home system disabling technology and sending the Maug-Lai back to their tribal origins. Thousands of years later, the war that followed first contact reintroduced them to their lost glory, making them a fighting force to be reckoned with.
While they may seem barbaric savages to outsiders, their culture is steeped in honor and tradition. More than what could be said for their bood thirst Rivals, the Golta.
Valonians: One of the two species native to the Planet Matchakia. The Valonians inhabit city states under the massive mega ocean of their planet. Unlike the Dalga that inhabit the Desert Pangaea, the Valonians were advanced, even eclipsing the Federation's own research in a variety of areas. They are now the backbone of the Federation's Scientific community.
Dalga: One of the two species native to the Planet Matchakia. The Dalga were originally nomadic traders, with very few cities besides trading hubs that dotted the desert Pangaea. When First Contact happened with the Federation, they were just a medieval society, trading and fighting amongst themselves. Now, their a major player in Galactic economics.
Yongmee: The Yongmee are a quasi-hivemind species, with Queens recalling and taking control of their broods with psionics and pheromones when necessary. Many Yongmee find work within the Federation as engineers, construction workers, and mechanics. Communication is somewhat limited as they rely on chirping, wing flapping, and antennae motions. To communicate with other species, they require translators that are rudimentary at best.
Apri: Originally from the world Akresh. The Apri were exiled off of their world after a war with the Shanji. The Apri spread amongst the neighboring systems. The Apri entered a Dark Age, as their new agricultural worlds fell under constant pirate attacks they were powerless to fend off. When the Federation came into the picture, the Apri were thankful for the stability and safety that their fleets and armies created. Soon, the Apri systems became the bread basket of the Federation and beyond.
Shanji: The Shanji are a plant based sentient lifeforms. While humanoid in appearance, they are nothing like many of the other species in the galaxy. They have the ability to "plant" themselves, allowing them to spread across and create more. They compete with the Apri as the food producers of the Federation.
Golta: The Golta are little more than giant apes that somehow developed firearms and crude spacecraft for raiding nearby spacecraft. While effective in combat, their blatant disregard for the lives of anyone besides their troop members has made them a liability in many engagements and has lead to them being led in segregated regiments and only in the worst of situations.
Scra'Shn: The Scra'Shn are unique in the Federation, as their worlds under the Federation are independent enclaves not native to the Federation. During Peacetime, many Scra'Shn take up piracy, leading them to be looked at with suspicion by the other races. In times of war, the Federation will often hire Scra'Shn Privateers, reducing piracy in their territory while the navy is away while unleashing them on their enemies.
Khyrsians: First of the Confederacy. Elfish humanoids. Political
masterminds; master manipulators. Sexual/Cloning.
Vaurians: . Reptilian-insectoids. Warlike, extremely proficient at military. Sexual.
Ariva:. Elfish humanoid all-female shapeshifters. Master spies/infiltrators; great seductresses. Often commended for their beauty. Semi-asexual.
Verga: Cybernetic/Semi-Silicon based Insectoids. Somewhat synthetic. Extremely high intelligence, logic processing and great strategist capabilities; extremely advanced in technology. Cloning-only; nongender.
Thorian: Reptilians. Extremely honorbound and pride-driven. Loyal to no end; will fight and die for their Comrades before betrayal/secession. Egg-Laying/Nesting.
Korvash: Korvash: a physically imposing and brutish race, to say the least, there are few of them left now. Once they occupied an entire system, with each planet housing a different variation of the species, but they all had similarities, now they are reduced to being bodyguards and mercenaries, some are even pirates, from the proud warriors they once were. While they are Naturally strong and have an above average regeneration rate, it was the high occurrence of psionic in the species that gave them their notoriety. The entire race was not full of strong psionics, but there were many of them. This played heavily into their traditional hierarchy, it also allowed them to communicate with most verbal races easily. Many favor physical weapons, as they handle them better.
Nuryathi are a race of piscivorous insect-analogues native to caves on the highly desertified world of Jamux. They are very adapted to these caves, having little skin pigmentation, weak vision, and long, flexible bodies capable of navigating thin crevasses and steep walls. They also have an adaptation against the inevitable Malthusian disasters that occur due to their rapid breeding rate and limited living space - When Nuryathi are forced to interact with each other heavily, indicative of dangerously high population density, they develop stronger muscles, higher adrenaline levels and enormous appetites, and inevitably kill off a large chunk of their population, with some of the survivors leaving the caves to find new homes elsewhere, simultaneously spreading the species and keeping its population in check. When the Federation arrived on Jamux, the Nuryathi were on the cusp of the Chalcolithic, and when during their uplifting they were placed in urbanized cities, they were unable to explain to the Federation why crowded environments were not a good idea. The resulting bloodbath, exacerbated by enraged and hyperstrong Nuryathi stealing Federation ships, wiped out most of their population, a blow that the Nuryathi have never really recovered from. Now, the Nuryathi are seen as the very lowest of Federation society - Violent thugs that lack even the codes of honour or proud military tradition that the other conflict-inclined races of the galaxy possess. Not helping this is their extremely low population, and a habit of disillusioned Nuryathi deciding to embrace the stereotype to get back at a galaxy that already looks down on them.
The Mogh'keigh, my own people.
We are a tall and slender species, with a body structure similar to humans. We are long-lived by human standards living for thousands of years unless dying from accident or disease. Our cardiac and neurological systems are much more advanced compared to humans, which allow heightened reactions and agility. To us, most species move in slow motion with a degree of awkwardness while to others we move at a distracting grace and can be blindingly fast in close combat. We have two genders, male and female. My people are naturally psionic, allowing almost all of us to have atleast sigma class psionic abilities. However a major disadvantage is that their superior mental capacities causes them to be more emotional than most species, forcing them to exercise constant mental restraint to prevent a mental breakdown.
But our abilities made us outcasts in our home galaxy. We hail not from the one I reside in but elsewhere. We were feared for our prowess and in return my people were slaughtered in droves. No where was safe. No matter how many of them we killed, thousands more would rise up. Hunters would gleam in delight after a successful 'hunt'. Our bones dangling around their necks and our spirit-stones sold like jewelry. To my knowledge, we are pretty much extinct at this point because of their fear. It takes 50 years for a child to be born. It would take thousands of lifetimes for us to return to our numbers. But even in this galaxy, we are still hunted.
Gubru: Most of the species are white feathered and neuter. But, there is like a high council that will, upon a major issue/decision, will give special hormones to a triad, which will cause them to start developing a sex. Over time, during the course of this incident, whichever of the three's policies are the most successful will decide the sex of each of the birds. In a triad, there is one female, and two males, the female being a deep red and the males blue and green. Many of the Gubrus are highly aggressive and fanatic.
J-01: comes from a race of robotic workers created by a long gone civilization. There is not much known about this "Precursor" species but what is known is that these robotic workers were experimental in nature. Something happened to the species before the robots could be completed and so only a few were left on a desolate research station. For thousands of years the station was maintained by an A.I. who tinkered with the few robots that were there, but once the A.I could turn them on, it made them mine for minerals and expand the base while treating it as a god. The A.I also named them, the Yovgon Which could translated to the Energy Ones. Eventually the mineral mines ran dry on the station so the Yovgon built ships and expanded. But the A.I couldn't be transferred so it gave certain robots intelligence and commanded them to bring minerals to the station. After years of expansion the Yovgon were discovered by Tagali. They took the Yovgon that they discovered and gave them complete independence from the A.I. Some that were liberated treated the Tagali as saviors, others as devils who stole the unity. Either way some Yovgon led the Tagali to the station that held the A.I. Then with the help of a coalition of peoples the Tagali coalition liberated the station with minimal losses. Then the swarms came, and although the Yovgon suffered minimal losses they were part of those oppressed by the Tagali Federation's brutality. Eventually rebellions started over those who wanted a unified robotic species and freedom from the Tagali. These rebellious Yovgon were either destroyed or reprogrammed. While the Yovgon are a peaceful species normally, they can be reprogrammed as robotic fighters.
The Bisteu: The Bisteu are a Aggressive, tradition bound species emerging from the planet Dusmion, a Mountainous planet with the rich vegetation. For hundreds of years the Bisteu where scattered tribes who fought against the environment and each other, first with sticks and stones, then with bronze weaponry and crude Armour. As the population grew so did the complexity of their society which moved from simple tribal settlements to city states and eventually full fledged kingdoms. Technology wise they reached a point where they had technology similar to the Middle Ages of earth, but then they hit a wall. for over 2,000 years they remained in a Perpetual middle ages which was also an era of constant war mainly due to there use of the feudal system and there inert aggression , if it wasn't for there toughness and rapid reproduction they would of killed themselves off centuries ago. During this period the first psyonics emerged in their species and was met with, extreme violence since it was declared that they where servants of the dark one and where using witch craft, the ones that survived the slaughter fled to the highest mountains in the planet even though the Inquisition would uproot them every once in a while. Eventually they where discovered, but not by the federation but by a race of powerful psyonics, the Eboi. The Eboi where seeking a a source of soldiers for their army since at a distance the eboi where formidable fighters mainly using their abilities and psyonic weaponry to bombard there enemies but in close quarters they where usually decimated. So in a move they would later regret they made contact with the Bisteu and named one of their kings, Draxx the mountain rider the first High King of a United Dusmion. They served the Eboi empire for 50 years until one day the Bisteu reached the point where they grew just as powerful as their eboi lieges, the eboi attempted to lessen the population by causing a civil war between the feudal lords of the high king, but the plot was discovers and the Bisteu demanding blood for blood revolted against the eboi empire and began the renewed slaughter of psyonics with increased zeal. Within 40 years the Eboi empire, in fact the whole species was in its death throws with there planets being occupied and the people being slaughtered in unimaginable numbers, when it looked like the Bisteu was to achieve there final victory the Federation Discovered the two species and intervened in the last minute to prevent a full scale extinction of the Eboi. Both Species where granted admittance into the federation, Mainly to keep the pace between the Bisteu and the Eboi, Currently the Bisteu are considered one of the federations best warriors proving themselves during the locusts invasions and the early years of the civil war. But bad blood is brewing between the Bisteu and the Weaken Eboi, Now called the eboi free state, The bisteu want to finally cleanse the eboi while the eboi want to reclaim the planets lost to the savages, either way with the lack of federation intervention there will be war if nothing is done.
The Eboi: The Eboi are an ancient species originating from the planet Aslorix. They are a frail species physically but mentally they are some of the most powerful psyonics in the known Galaxy. How there power emerged is unknown but by the time humanity was in its industrial revolution the eboi where already a space fairing empire. Their empire however would be undone by uplifting a certain species for use as warriors, the Bisteu. In a attempt to curb there poulation they attempted to spark a civil war but failed a brought the wrath of the Bisteu upon them. Despite a hard fight the eboi where nearly pushed to extinction. But the interference of the federation saved the race but not there empire since the treaty gave most of the planets to the Bisteu. The ebonI free state is the current government and is abegrudgingly a member of the federation. Due to the civil war conflict between the Bisteu and the eboI is inevitable but this time the Eboi is ready
