After amassing a large student debt and passing the BAR test, Eric found himself employed at a major law firm in San Francisco. He ran for the 11th District Senate seat, adopting moderate positions he swayed independent and conservative voters with ease building a solid voter electorate base against the predominantly Democratic region, a coalition of Republican and independent voters won him the seat. His stance on legalizing marijuana, lowering taxes, and proposing gradual minimum wage raise over a 10 year span made his platform very appealing to even some Democrats in the 11th. After serving on as the first Republican Senator to be elected to the 11th district in 21st century history, Eric decided to move up a level and ran for Boxers seat when her term was up. He defeated his GOP opponents in the primary and dispatched his Democratic opposition in the General with ease and now serves as one of 2 Senators representing the state of California.
