All of my ideas are at the general setting phase, but here's the one I like the most;
The RP is set in 1950. WW2 has gone mostly the same, except instead of the Soviets getting to Berlin first, the West and East get there at around the same time - meaning the West have more at the bargaining table. With neither side going to cede control of their part of Germany for a Communist or Democratic Government, they bring back the German Monarchy as a buffer state. The French Fourth Republic collapsed into a far-left Socialist state with tacit support of the USSR. In China, the Nationalists are kicking ass and the Communists are outflanked and fleeing.

But nation RPing is where most of my experience lies. Specifically the Victorian Era, so that doesn't help really.
