I don't think its the shortposters tbh, I'd say it's the shitposting that's going on in the OOC.

I'm unsure If I'm still going to app up, couldn't get anything I was happy with up, but I think I've got something in the works, depends on how fast I can get something up for another RP. If the door is still open by then I'll get it up.


I don't think positive reinforcement is that great.

Half the time my posts are garbage in comparison to everyone else's mainly through poor writing, when I try and get feedback on how I can improve them and pick up the standard I get nowhere. I'd rather have people call out what's wrong (in a friendly manner) than have them praise what is right. But that's perfectionism I suppose.

My problem isn't the criticism to let newer posters learn from their mistakes, it's the "Your posts suck" comments from the salty old-timers (This does not apply to anyone here btw), which provides no substance at all to improving the posting abilities of the newbies.

I apologize if anyone finds the love prelude boring or gag-worthy, but I felt establishing a backstory that Finian is reluctant to join on the fact that he doesn't actually want to leave his life behind, just let his alias make a name for itself instead, feels better than the basic "I want to leave everything behind because humanity is worth it."

Finian honestly gives a fuck less about humanity, he just wants to keep his friends, family, and girlfriend safe from harm. If anyone else is saved in the process, that's a bonus.

Well, I didn't gag...it was kinda cute.

Was about to say, if you and your girlfriend lived in an apartment maybe my character and yours could unknowingly live int he same one. And the girl my character saw could have been your girlfriend...but now that I realize your character is very protective and my guy's awkwardness and shyness makes him come off as a creep, plus I think Zedekiah may be one of the weaker ones here, so I am not so sure I want him put out of commission immediately

I hate to say it but I'm close to sitting out for a while because a flu had a very sudden onset last night and its killing my ability to do much of anything other than complain about it.
Basically, getting a bio for my guy might be an extra while longer than I would like it to be.

APPEARANCE: He also would be carrying with him a black umbrella.

ABILITIES: Avery is able to quickly unleash a large amount of a thick black fog that can easily cover a 15m squared area. Within the fog he is able to move well above average human speed as well as be able to sense anything within the fog itself.
SKILLS: If very polite counts as a skill, then he god damn well has it. Other than that Avery is skilled with a sword.
WEAKNESS: The weakness of any average human. The fog can easily be dispersed.
GOALS: Just to have a good time.
FEARS: Making a fool of himself, everything going absolute shit, running out of tea so much tea.

EQUIPMENT: A sword, which is sheathed in an umbrella (the sword being almost as long as the umbrella, about 28 inches). Flask of whiskey.

BIO: Avery was not born a rich man. He wasn't even born a man. He is, in fact, a very regular human being. Well, as regular one can be while they're perpetually seeping a black fog as they grow up. Due to this abnormality Avery had while growing up, he never actually went to a school. He mostly was at his home being taught by his parents, even when he could control the fog and have it stop seeping off him he was still home schooled. It wasn't until he had moved away from his family did he realise that his whole life was the way it was because of both his powers and the fact his parents were actually quite poor. Somehow, he managed to get a job that gained him enough money to start a life of his own. Occasionally hearing on the news about the Variants existing and having abnormal powers, he soon knew what he was. At that time he received an email from The Benefactor requesting his presence in Seattle.
