Just so you know, I've seen New Neros top 2.3k in another RP.

I'm an amateur that doesn't usually write books of posts, unlike our good friends New Grestin and the like. So writing that first post for WWNH was monumental and a moment of pride for me.

Also glad you liked the post :)

Post coming tomorrow collective fahm.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

NAME: Bobby L. Jackson
ALIAS: Sonic SS
NATIONALITY: American
ETHNICITY: African-American
AGE: 17
APPEARANCE:
Image

Image

ALIGNMENT: Neutral, leaning towards chaotic.
OCCUPATION: Fast food worker(sells weed on the side).

ABILITIES: Superspeed. He can react, think, move, and has greater speed then that of a human. His speed is so great it can alter the perception in which he sees time, making bullets and other objects aimed at him seem half the speed they are, everything appearing in slow motion when he runs. This ability manifest in him seeming like a blur at his fastest with him running along wall, water, and other similar objects. His speed also increases his recovery time allowing for a small healing factor and delayed aging.
SKILLS: He's good at petty criminal activities like lockpicking, hotwiring vehicles, and breaking and entering. As a plus he's extremely smart, more so then he would give himself credit for, he was able to get a near perfect score on the ACTs at 34, but never followed through on account for "problems".
WEAKNESS: He underestimates himself most the time subconsciously. Most time he just has a feeling of just drifting along and being there as events happen around him. Further, despite his speed he is like a normal human mostly, his body does seem like its in overdrive sometimes, but a well placed bullet could even down the king of Babylon.
GOALS: He's saving up to move out of Seattle and head east. He thinks the time and change of location could possibly give him a feeling of self worth.
FEARS: At times he can be apathetic to the point of allowing harm to happen to other's and it scares him as he'll often compare himself to killers like the Zodiac killer or Jack the Ripper for how at times he feels like the most heartless man alive.

EQUIPMENT: His shoes, clothes, backpack, and mask.

PERSONALITY: Lukewarm. He can be cold most the time or even expressionless, but during some few occasion when he warms up to someone he'll crack a joke anytime he can to get a smile. He's also a big history dork and will use any occasion he can to bring up history as well as videogames.

BIO:
In his words,"Everything I do is an reaction." Maybe this is why he doesn't few anything he does as significant? He had a good life by all accounts, his mom was a lawyer and his father a successful dentist, and both made enough to satisfy his needs and then some, but the pressure. The pressure was too much from even the tiniest age of 5 he remembered the days he would his head as him constantly drilled into his head the importance of learning the alphabets, how his father would set his down at age 9 as he read to him "Grapes of Wrath". His parents didn't want a son, they wanted prodigy. It was quiet rage at first the dissatisfaction he felt in each lecture he got on why he should have an A, but it grew the fuel of their words ignited a fire that grew and grew in his soul. He had to have been young maybe 13 when he first lashed out, slammed a door into a wall as his mom berated him, he didn't know what for but he could care less, he was thinking. He thought of ways to break the constant cycle of being forced into a life he didn't love, that he hated, and it hit him harder then anything he could think of....he would just stop trying. He hated everything his parents put him through the constant pushing to mold him into their ideal prodigy to constantly show off to the world and each time he pushed back they would put a stronger chain around his neck and pull him back into the fold. So, he would just stop trying, and he would wait, and he creep around until he could escape. One night one of their fights had turned sour and everything went wrong so fast. He was 16 and his dad had just found out about a girl he had been meeting, Jessie was her name, she was "unfavorable". She was a dead beat, a criminal, and hand caused him to get his first charge "possession of marijuana". Livid wasn't the right word, they were angrier, so angry he couldn't describe it was like someone threw a can of glass into the face of Gorilla and then charged at it. They threw curses at him left and right and he sat there and took each one before his father would ask him a question and his reply would be,"No." He doesn't know how this caused his father to react so violently, but everything just moved so, so fast. His father in his rage threw something at him and time just slowed down, literally, he could see the windbreak as the object aimed at his face with deadly precision. Next thing he knew he got up from his seat and everything just went from 0 to 100 as he unexpectedly charged his father with enough force to crash the both of them into the ground. His parents previous anger turned into shock and horror at this display, he didn't know how to react himself, it was just too fast. In the confusion of it all he heard the words "get out" and did just that, having time to only pack a few things before he left his home. It would be then a second wave would hit him and he felt everything around him slow down as he sped up, zooming around the city. It was a terrifying experience one he's only kept between him and Jessie, he thinks he's only ran two times afterwards, but he hates the feeling and doesn't want it to happen again. After being pushed away from his parents he's been working a job at Wendy's to keep the checks afloat and help pay for an apartment under Jessie's name, as well as doing less then honorable activities for extra dough.

RP EXAMPLE:
Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Minister of Foreign Affairs Adao Dimas was busy looking at the new and incoming letters as he filed a report to be sent to Salvador's cabinet. He was instructed to open every letter except for the one sent privately to France, he would obey this order. Looking at them he only saw one and upon reading it a look of disappointment graced his face. He put the letter back in the envelope before writing back.

To Denmark
From: Free State of Brazil
Encryption: None
Mission Statement: Trade
Details:
Dear Foreign Ministry of Denmark,

How unfortunate, but nonetheless we understand. Our offer still stands should you eventually or at all seek it.

From,
Free State of Brazil

After writing his letter back and sending it off to be mailed to the Danes, he looked over and thought. His country had spend so much time on looking for trade in the available vicinity such as in areas of the Americas and Europe. While he wasn't sure if the response would be the same he wagered it was worth the shot. Two areas of importance grabbed his interest the Far East and the Middle East. He would busy himself as he readied letters to be mailed over to the Japan and the Ottoman Republic.

[spoiler=To The Empire of Japan and The Ottoman Republic]
From: Free State of Brazil
Encryption: None
Mission Statement: Trade and Relations
Details:

Dear Empires of the East,
You may not know us besides very brief to minimal details of our country. The same could be said for our view of your lands, but in this shared status of uncertainty we hope we can find opportunity. When trade is utilized correctly it offers more then just a simple bridging of goods, but those too of different cultures, ways of lives, and ideas. Should you let us we would appreciate greatly the opportunity to learn of your nation and its culture. We wait for your response,

Free State of Brazil.

President's Quarters
Salvador was busy himself as Adao rummaged through the letters and responded. Salvador knew he was a good man and loyal as well, he trusted him to handle any task he set for him and he appreciated the natural born initiative the man held. Gripping the letter from France he cut open the envelope and read the letter from France, his grin having turned stern. Putting down the letter he sat in his seat and scoffed,"Bastardos." He said under his breath as read the last sentence of the letter. They dare question his commitment to his people? How he had spent years tirelessly working to give them the just representation they deserved? He threw the letter to the other side of the table before writing his own response.

To The French Union of Socialist States
From: Presidente Salvador
Details:
Dear Foreign Ministry of The F.U.S.S, I'm sorry the way I run my country doesn't satisfy your picture of the "perfect" state. I have not ran my country with you in mind, I ran my country with my people in mind. We will not change ourselves nor bend our backs to satisfy your claims, I wrote my letter hoping and praying a new dawn would shine on Brazil and France as they celebrated in common brotherhood the ideals of liberty and socialism despite different interpretations. We will accept trade and hopefully this will see improvement in our standings, but if we must change our way of life to satisfy your nation's rhetoric to change how we are views; we are happy with the status quo.

In Best Regards,
Presidente Salvador

He took out a cigar and quietly puffed on it as he turned his seat around to take a view outside the window. Was Brazil perfect? No, it wasn't, but it was perfect to his people and as long as his people supported him, as long as his soldiers still fought for the ideals of his country, and as long as he had men under him who strive like him to see Brazil grow, it was as perfect as the light that shines of the seas when the sun flows down and the light fills the sky. A beleza. He spend exactly one hour with these thoughts in his mind before it hit him, Gran Colmbia. They had expected his presence at the Summer Ball but he would not go, neither would anyone from his nation go. His nation still held the loss of their southern territories with the utmost severity and seriousness as one could expect with a nation losing parts of themselves. It was alright though, his nation still held claim to the countries east where they had militarized the border. He puffed from his cigar as he wrote down a second letter, this one was bound to in the least gain the attention of the Colombians as it was written directly from the head of Brazil himself.

To Gran Colombia
From: Presidente Salvador
Mission Statement: South America
Details:
Dear Foreign Ministry of Gran Colombia,
I write this letter myself with hopes that the severity of my words bleed through the paper and show my commitment to this issue. As such I expect for this letter to be transferred to your chancellor or emperor immediately after attaining this paper or soon after. For almost twenty years, South America has been left in limbo. Dominated by two competing states we find disunity where it shouldn't be. In an idea world our bond would stronger than that of my teeth to my gums and my lungs to my heart, but one issue has stopped this. We hold territory rightfully yours to your east, you hold territory rightfully ours to our south. This must be remedied. Until then, I nor any of my colleagues will not be attending the summer ball.
In Best Regards,
Presidente Salvador.

State Developments
The year was moving forward and the country was too. The Brazil of today was different then that of yesteryear, since the Brazilian Civil War many changes reverberated through the country. Factories were ever more present with workers from both South America and Europe flooding in as they manufactured a wide array goods to be sold to Western markets. But above all this was coffee the dominate cash crop of the country and the staple crop of a good Brazilian breakfast. With the introduction of unions in 1883 the civil strikes and protest wend down immensely as protesters and businessmen were encouraged to find common ground. Further, the state had funded a series of railway lines to be built around the capital and its major cities as well as the south, this increased communication greatly as well spurred further trade in the country. The waterways of the Amazon also proved profitable as small steamboats sailed along the waterways of the Amazon River. The Cerrado proved to be the agricultural heartland of the country as the vast majority of the crops and farmed goods found in the nation were farmed in this one location. The alternating of the crop fields during the farming season proved ideal in keeping the land fertile for other harvest.

The military had also gone under revitalization. Guerrilla warfare had dominated the civil war and the brightly colored uniforms of the Brazilian Army had made them easy targets to attacks from the Guerrillas. This had been the first thing to change under the Salvador. The French had inspired many things in his nation, but their uniforms were not one of them for this he instead looked at how the Prussian Army dressed their men and made adjustments. A cap would be worn for the soldiers of the military with a small steel plate sewn into the fabric in the front to provide protection from bullets to the front of the head. Further the uniform color was made uniform with the dominate color being greenish brown to resemble the leaves and dirt of the Amazon. Knee high boots were also distributed to protect the men's feet from the mud. Newer standardized rifles based on the Portuguese models were being manufactured and distributed in the military. So far the Brazilian state hadn't encountered any serious resistance on the seas leaving the navy rather subpar compared to the military, it was being updated, but at a slower rate to the army.

With these changes now occurring across the country, the state looked to broaden itself to other markets in Europe as well as Asia to keep this growth continuous.

RP EXAMPLE: Marix V, Menneske Outer Planet

Caste Everson sat at the central slipstream monitoring console of Marix Naval Academy, dutifully staring at the console as he struggled to keep his eyelids from closing. One of the Academy's Orbital Command trainees, he was required to track all jumps to and from the Marix system for an hour and then write an essay on patterns the patterns he observed in the traffic. He felt that it was the most useless task he could possibly be writing about. Caste Everson wanted to do more simulations of commanding the orbital defense grid. However, his teacher thought otherwise, and now he was stranded at this console until his required hour was up. Which was... Now! Caste broke into a smile as he stood up, stretching his sleeping limbs as he prepared to go to the library to write the necessary essay. However, as he went to grab his identity card from the slot by the computer, he stopped short. There was a break in the pattern he had been observing.

For just a millisecond, he thought he had seen a blip in the regular stream of dots moving to and from the gravity well marked "MARIX". His tired eyes widened to alertness as he settled back into the chair, straining to see the disruption again. He did not want to fail this assignment. He didn't have to wait long; thirty seconds later, the blip repeated itself, one hundred kilometers thirty degrees X axis fifty degrees Y axis from the original. He realized what had caught his eye; that was not a Macedonian signature. Grabbing his communicator, he called up the commander of the Academy, his teacher. "Sir, we have an unidentified signature at fifteen hundred kilometers forty degrees X axis twenty-five degrees Y axis from the station, infrequently zipping on and off the grid." However, the words had no sooner left his mouth then the signiture appeared again; and stayed.

Marix Naval Academy Command Room, Marix V

Commander Abhay Anit lounged in the command center for the Marix Naval Academy, trying to make the most of his lunch hour. Beside him sat Admiral Colton Smith of the Marix IV-based Seventh Battlecruiser Group, which was tasked with the defense of the Marix system in case any more Ruuk-Hon border skirmishes spilled into the sector. When they got the message, Abhay was unconcerned; probably a bit of reflective titanium left drifting after falling off a rusty cargo ship or something. Still, it had to be identified and taken out of the shipping lanes; it could start causing problems eventually. Turning to Colton, he asked "Can you send one of your frigates over to ID the object?" Colton agreed; as long as Abhay poured him a glass of Kovaki whiskey. Abhay laughed and agreed to the deal, and went to get the beverage while Colton tasked one of his smallest frigates to investigate the space junk.

However, when the frigate MNF Halberd reached the location where the spotty signal was coming from, nothing could be seen on visual. The captain reasoned that it was probably simply reflective, and decided to give his novice gunning crews some practice. If High Command wasn't already combing this sector for a lost, invisible superweapon, then it was safe to dispose of it and get some training done at the same time. "Okay, on my mark" he said, waiting for all the gunning crews to finish loading the 100mm cannons carried by the vessel. As expected, crew four was late once again; he'd reprimand them later. "Fire!" he said, and a spray of depleted uranium shot into space. And exploded on the Eldar Prowler hidden there, knocking out its malfunctioning cloak for seven seconds before the ship disappeared again.

As the frigate and a few merchant ships sent in vague reports of seeing a ship-shape object in the wake of the fire, Caste frantically called Abhay again. "Sir, the orbital monitoring equipment has gone crazy; there are 264 unidentified signatures, fast-moving and headed for us!" Back in the orbital monitoring center, the screen was filled with unidentified markings as a massive group sped towards Marix V.

Commander Abhay and Admiral Colton jumped to their feet, the latter racing for his shuttle while Abhay raced for the Orbital Defence Grid Command. He reached the reinforced-glass-ceilinged room in what must have been record time, bringing the magnetic accelerator cannons online as the 50-ship Seventh Battlecruiser Group broke away from moorings and docks, organizing into battle formation. Suddenly the screen beside him lit up, displaying the photograpic analysis for the mystery vessel. "Oh my Gods..." He gasped, staring at the ship design only seen in library history sections and legends. It was undeniably Eldar; the first seen in over five hundred years.

At that moment, one hundred kilometers from where the orbital defense grid's range petered out, the mystery signatures revealed themselves as what was obviously an Eldenian battlegroup. Analysis popped up all around Abhay, who grimly studied the enemy. The signature five-kilometer Eldenian Gemini flagship, the lengthy Shade Pulsar battlecruisers, dozens of Undying destroyers, and hundreds of Pulsar frigates. Abhay weighed the odds; they were outnumbered 5 to 1, were almost completely unprepared, and had no incoming reinforcements. Even Colton's powerful Battlecruiser group wouldn't last five minutes under a pounding from a force that size, and his orbital defense grid would crumble under the long-range directed energy fire, if the records were still valid. However, they had to hold while they scrambled civilian craft away from the planet; the Eldar would not pursue them if they weren't a threat, but they needed to be off the planet. Or else... Abhay shuddered at the memory of what they had been taught in history class, about what the Eldar did to planets they conquered. It was not pretty.

"Colton, form your ships into a defensive perimeter aligned with the defense grid. Engage when they come within range. And scramble all interstellar and interplanetary civilian craft; get them away from this planet. We can't win this battle." On the bridge of the battlecruiser MNBC Second Wind, Colton nodded in grim agreement. Turning to his helmsman, he said "You heard the man, move the fleet into position. Prepare all cannons, and release long-range rockets. Bake the scum." Turning to the viewscreen showing the approaching armada, Colton wrote a quick message telling his family he loved them before facing his final battle.

Marix V Debris Cloud

EENG Valiant drifted through what had previously been the orbital grid of Marix V, burning hulls of destroyed ships and structures occasionally scraping against the sides of the vessel. Fifty-seven minutes had passed since the discovery of one of the scouting Dusk Treader Prowlers was discovered by the Menneske faction, forcing the fleet to move in while the alien fleet was still in orbit. However, a battle costing his fleet over a dozen ships had claimed fifty of the enemy's and the planet currently under siege by the Eldenian TerraCom, giving a logistical and strategic victory to the Empire. Similar reports of victory were coming in from the flagships DS9 and Guardian, currently sieging other former Eldar colonies. Deploying another wave of Corvettes to the planet, he sent a friendly hello to Exile, which had just warped in to help with the troubling scans coming in; a massive Macedonian fleet was grouping at Ventrix III to counterattack against the multiple incursions to their space. Over 1500 ships were expected to be there, from Prowler intelligence reports. Thus, all five Eldenian battlegroups were on standby for combat in this region of space, leaving just the transport groups to defend the City. It was something that had to be risked, however; it was time for the Equalsun Empire to expand.

Honestly, if someone tried to kill Derek I would prefer that over nothing happening. Heck, I might even prefer that over a simple answer.

I'll take a look at the new apps soon, but it's funny how CLOSED doesn't mean a thing anymore.

Summer.

Floodgate.

Breached.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

Yeah but summer changes people.
