Vegetables are usually cheap, because they're very easy to grow. Meat, on the other hand...
Steak can cost anywhere from a couple of credits, the currency used by most of the galaxy, to 1000 or even more.
It depends on the planet, of course.

For most of the Space RPs I view meat as standard price Planetside depending on demand and quality, while those on Orbital Stations cost nearly twice or thrice more since ships who purchase them off space stations do not need to contend with atmospheric re-entry as well as the fuel needed to fight off gravity after trading planetside.
