Aria Comnena

Aria's eyes still held the same bit of insanity as Alex's did, her violet and amber irises staring at both Ruta and the Rabbit. She couldn't help but laugh at Alexander's nonsensical jumble of words and curses. She knew he was uncouth and rude, but this was simply too much for her. One moment, she was caught in a life and death battle, and the next she get to see him talk his little head off. Adorable.

Combine this with the fact that your only ambition in life is to fulfill your deathwish, I'm not really sure you're one to talk bad about walking through the Dark. You are without mind, without reason, without morals. All anyone can do is laugh at you...Is that what you've been thinking all this time, in your paranoia?" Aria said, her voice strangely cheery and gleeful. With a hearty laugh, she concluded. "Hahaha! See, I don't even need to walk around in that filthy head of yours! You're an open book!"

Alex stared into Aria's eyes. "And yet you still fell to your knees before me, powerless against my might. You're just like your family members, you sit around supping wine and talking about how you're an empress yet the shining star of the ancient Comnena's is defeated so easily. You could do nothing but raise a tiny little shield and fall to the ground crying and begging for your teachers to save your life!"

"You haven't seen what I've seen, lived what I've lived. You haven't had to watch your father, one of the most intelligent and powerful men in the magic world who has pioneered research into fire magic descend into mad fiery rants and then fall to the floor weeping the next minute. You haven't had to watch your family suffer that way." very real tears had begun to stream down Alex's face now; one of the few real emotions he had displayed. "You haven't had your father sit you down and explain to you why grandfather is locked away because he can't live a stable life. You haven't had him sit you down and explain to you that you might be tainted to. That you'll have be live your life under the shadows of lunacy which threaten to consume you and damage the ones you love. You've sat around living like a spoilt fucking bitch." he spat, struggling with his restraints but still not moving.

Ozzi nods, but does not move. He is too enraptured by the scene in front of him. He has now realized that Alex and the girl must have been fighting a moment ago, and that Professor Rabbit must have stepped in to calm them down. It is intriguing, to see such a display of passion and anger by a pair of upperclassmen. Ozzi's arms are beginning to waver a bit from holding his body in place a few stories or two above the ground for so long, but he remains where he is, hanging onto the windowsill and looking inside.

He watches as Alex begins to cry tears of what Ozzi assumes must be hate. He begins to feel bad for the boy, and he begins to feel the urge to try and help him in some way. But still he remains where he is, for he knows that he will only get in the way and in trouble if he enters the room at this point.

Rabbit listened to him now, and saw that Alex truly was acting in pain. He really had lived through quite a deal of hurt. This madness that overran his family was killing them all, tearing them all apart, and terrifying the poor kid, who worried he was next. No, he was next. He knew he was losing himself to some sort of madness, something that was destroying him and everything he loved.

The teacher loosened their grip on their student just slightly, as a way to perhaps show leniency toward them. It wasn't all Alex's fault that he was in this mess. He just wanted a way out. He wanted a way to take back his life, and he was desperate.

Aria Comnena

The masked teacher did indeed speak truth. Aria really wasn't in her right mind, evidenced further by her crazed grin and occasional twitch. "And yet that is hardly necessary, Professor. I am not the problem here. I know what I'm doing, and as did Alexander. We were only having a bit of fun. As to why you both would so rudely interrupt...Well, that is beyond me." she said, her blood red hair falling over her left eye, so that the glow of midnight purple could show itself in her eyes.

"Of course I show weakness because I am confident enough to be able to seem vulnerable, unlike you who is so insecure and desperate to be perceived as an empress. Who is so convinced of her own superiority that she has completely deluded herself from the real world. You act as if dropping to one knee is a sign of defeat while you cowering in the corner desperately raising a shield and crying out for your teacher to help was simply a tactical move." Alex grinned. "You know as well as I that you were defeated, you just can't admit it because it's been drilled into your mind that you're some Roman empress. And of course I knew my family, that just makes it worse when you see someone who is so brilliant and so bright being tortured so unjustly, someone so kind and good devolving into a maniac just because of some ancient taint in his blood."

Rabbit once again turned back to her. "Is that correct, Aria? Both of you have experienced tragedy, dear. There is no reason to continue this argument, since nobody will get anywhere with it. I understand you are not in the right mind to reconcile your differences, but perhaps you will be willing to calm yourself, knowing that you two are not so different, in reality. After all, both of you have cried many tears, and fighting through tears never leads to a victory for anyone," they suggested.

Ozzi begins to feel that there is nothing more to gain from watching the scene, so he silently drops from the windowsill and lands next to Soleil. Kneeling down next to his friend, he motions back to the tree. "I tink dat we should get back to class. What class do we 'ave next?" The conversation had an odd affect on Ozzi, who now seems to be a bit down.

"Alex."

Rabbit's voice was quiet, but for some reason, it managed to echo through the boy's mind. It commanded him to give them their attention.

"That is enough. Neither of you won. Calling such an dishonorable match a victory for either of you would be a disgrace. Now stop this, there is no need to continue with this. You cannot fight her, I have halted all of your mana points. And she cannot fight you either, unless she wants Mr. Ruta or I to intervene on your behalf." Rabbit managed to be quite firm with Alex, though they showed no hostility toward him.

There he was, acting so high and mighty. Trying to convince not only her, but himself that he was kind. Calling her a megalomaniac. Trying to tear her down, like the child she was. Aria was ready to burst at the seams, to let every bit of sorrow, hatred, anger, and fear out for Alex to see. But she could not let him see. She needed to keep the veil...

With a deathly calm, Aria said to him in a deep voice and closed her eyes. "Alexander...Listen to me...You are nothing...I am nothing...All those who came before us, were nothing... Do not delude yourself with visions of strength, glory, and noble blood, for in the end, your delusions will lead you to death, as they have all my ancestors. When you regain any semblance of sanity, maybe you will understand me. Maybe then, you can hear my true voice. For now, though, know that neither you or I are fit to call ourselves nobles, empresses, kings, or intellectuals."

Turning to the professor, she responded. "You are right. This duel was dishonorable, and as such is fitting of us both...His Peace, I give you, with His Peace, I leave you. May God give all of you the blessings I never recieved..." Aria said, a sober, serious tone in her voice as she left the room. Neither Alex or the Rabbit deserved to hear her rantings...

Rabbit watched her walk away, frowning beneath the mask. Aria herself held back some deep and terrible pain, though she wasn't willing to share it. She had finally come to her senses, however, though she was quite depressed, now.

Both of these children have suffered quite a bit...It is no wonder they wanted to kill each other. They have pent these feelings of hatred and sadness away for so long, and now it seeks for a vent through which it can escape...

They turned and looked at Mr. Ruta, as Aria left. They did not see him as the merciful type. I only hope he will be merciful to their situation... they prayed to themselves.

Soleil sat there and watched his friend leave for his next class. Now he was stuck right next to the building he'd be having class in, in an hour. Not to mention it was going to be with a teacher who scared him.

Great. The rest of this day is going to be just great... he thought, model student my foot. I'm a clumsy, nervous mess-up, nine times out of ten...That time I saved Ozzi was just luck...Mr. Ruta is going to hate me for sure...

Alexander gritted his teeth. There wasn't much he could do, even if her prattling on about Catholicism annoyed him. Did every Comnena think they were holy and blessed by god or something? Just another layer to their delusions he supposed. "Fine I won't hurt her. Let me go." he commanded professor Bunny.

"Only if you promise not to fight her," Rabbit told Alex, still holding onto his shoulders. "I don't want you to leave and then continue to fight her, once I enable your mana points again."

"That's why I said I wouldn't hurt her." Alex grinned "We both know it wouldn't be much of a fight mr. Bunny." Alex's eyes had stopped dancing now though and he appeared a little more calm and put together then he did earlier.

"Very well," Rabbit answered, pressing on Alex's shoulders again. Thus they re-opened Alex's mana points, allowing him to use his magic again. "I don't want to find-out later you were fighting her again. That will not solve your problems," they warned him. In the meantime, they turned toward Mr. Ruta, who was watching Rabbit with disdain, for disturbing his class.

Ozzi walks off towards the main school building, looking at a small paper map pf the campus as he goes. He follows the directions on the map, enters a building, takes a left, takes a right, and enters the first door on the right. He looks around the classroom for Magical harmony before taking a seat in the front row, nearest to the board.

Elizabeth Tsukuyomi

"Well Soph, Since only you and Andrius here have shown up, I guess we can get started. Because I didn't have much time to prepare this class, I'll be instructing it in a bit of an odd way."
Liz reached out and made a slicing motion in the air with her hand, opening a semi-stable rift to her demi-plane. The rift widened and a translucent arch formed around it.
"You could say we're taking a bit of a field trip today. To explain the magics I've used her would take all of this class period, and probably much longer. To learn more about that you'll have to join me for magical theory later today. For now we will be focusing on the magical creatures, or representations there of, that I have populated this place with."
Liz walked into the portal as she finished speaking, beckoning the students to follow her.
The year’s at the spring,
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hill-side’s dew-pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn;
God’s in His heaven—
All’s right with the world!

hi!

Sophia hesitantly walked in. Demiportals were always tricky to deal with, but they're extremely useful. Sophia packed up most of her bags and followed curiously, and entered Ms. Tsukuyomi's "zoo". The sensation was that of a brief pulling as she entered whatever place that the Demi-plane resembled.

Antonius Ruta

Ruta sighed as the red haired, red robed Aria left his room. He had done wrong, and that girl had almost been killed because of it. Alexander was obviously unhinged, every sign of his depravity open for all to see. Yet the girl was a different kind of crazy. It seemed so controlled, and that was what ended up actually unsettling Ruta. Not the fight, not the bloodlust of the two combatants, but rather how eerie the girl seemed, how easily she changed. From a sweet, charming character, to a crazed murderess, to a person with obvious depression. Yep. Obviously not all there, her actions more than showed that.

The Rabbit was probably going to use this against him...No, the Rabbit was definitely going to use this against him. He was just too damn smug for his own good. And so Ruta turned away from his colleague and announced, "My apologies to you all, but there has been a change of plan. Today's lesson is over. All of you that are still here, return to your dormitories or prepare for your next class." Ruta said heavily, without a hint of his usual humor. He needed time to think about what happened here, and right now, all he really cared about was making sure the girl was alright. Alex was of a much lesser priority right now. With his black cape trailing behind him, Ruta followed after Aria, not paying any mind to any of the other students, with the exception of a cold stare being given to Alexander.
