She was still such a beautiful sight, Aria, over on the other bed, sleeping, or at least resting, Catherine wasn't entirely sure. Catherine stood up off the bed, taking a few steps before sitting back down next to Aria. She gently stroked Aria's bare shoulder, running her hand through Aria's crimson hair. Like Aria's eyes, the runes on Catherines body gave an insight into her emotions. Right now they were a soft mellow, if still dark red, giving off only the faintest of glow from the mana bound in them.
"Good morning Ari, How are you doing?"
Aria
On the bed opposite to Catherine's lay Aria, clad in a small, frilly red nightgown that exposed the snow white skin of her arms and shoulders, curled up in the fetal position and lying on top of the white covers of her bed, rather than in between them. By face alone, she looked peaceful and almost happy with the smallest of smiles visible to Catherine. Her skin, at first touch, was rather cold, but for each marking, every symbol, and every segment of magical circuitry that Catherine's fingers caressed, there could be felt a faint warmth, like fire subdued under a wintry glacier that wanted to burst out of her.
At the gentle touch of Catherine's hand, Aria's large eyes fluttered open, her irises the same silvery orange as they were the night before. Her gaze darted around the room, and her eyes were wide for the first few seconds of her 'waking', as if she expected an intruder to be standing over her now, but they softened upon seeing Catherine's content face, her compassionate bloodred eyes glossing over the petite features of the homunculus in front of her.
Knowing Catherine was once again there to wake her up, Aria gave her a warm smile and looked up into her eyes with a look that had not been seen from the girl in the past two months; that loving gaze that made it look like she could not be happier if she tried.
"I'm...feeling very well, actually...thank you..." Aria said softly with a nod, staying still where she was on the bed. "...but...I'm sorry about last night...I didn't get to share a dance with you..."
