"I know you don't blame anyone but he does. I hate him. And she hadn't been hurt. She's never experienced pain, true pain. Not like I hate. Listen to her rattling off her prayers, she thinks she's a goddess or something." Alex said but as he begun talking Bunny walked off to talk to someone else. Alex gritted his teeth angrily and stormed out of the room.

Shaun Calhoun

After wandering around the courtyard for what seemed like an hour, Shaun looked at a small oak tree. It seemed to be barely a year old. The sight of the tree made him smile and levitate towards it for some unknown reason. He walked towards it, hands in pockets, as he thought about what he said earlier. "Maybe I can do it." He said sounding unsure of himself. "I mean, all you gotta do is go up to someone and say 'Hi, I'm Shaun, nice to meet you. Well, that's what I think by looking at it."

Once he finally reached the tree, he looked at it with a sort of happiness and easiness. He then put his back against it and slid down on the ground, taking a deep sigh as he went down. He leaned his head back against the trunk of it and continued talking and thinking to himself about how to not become..."anti-social". "How do people do it? How can a person just go up to someone else and say 'hello' or something?" He thought. "What gives them to ability to do that? To just meet a new person and just hit it off? Is it their confidence? Is it in their nature? What is it?" Shaun then growled and clenched his fist, resulting in a small change of the clouds, with them slowly starting to form. He noticed this and calmed down some, releasing his grip and sighing some more. "I mean...Why can't I do it? Why is it hard for me to say hello? Am I really what that man said? Am I.....Anti-social?" He said raising his hands and putting them over his head in order to just think and ponder that question.

"Wait a moment, Alex," Rabbit told him, before he could leave the room, "I'm still here and listening." They stood and turned toward Alex, to speak to him. "All people experience pain at some point, and from the sounds of things, it seems both of your families have fallen victim to some sort of madness, and a load has been put on both of your shoulders. It may be difficult, but try to see things from her point of view," they explained, gently.

Henry Von Kressel

And so, wandering around the Academy, he started to get lost in his thoughts. He never saw Aria like that, with a fury that could be sensed in the air. However, it wasn't her uncontrolled fury that worried Henry: It was the effect that it caused on Aria.

He didn't find her, and that worried him even much: Lack of knowledge was his childhood fear, and the lack of knowledge about someone he cared was even worse. His mind on set in at least finding her. And the way to do it came right in front of him.

Professor Ruta appeared in one of the hallways, apparently thoughtful about what happened earlier. With an unusual rush, Henry went to Magical Combat teacher, hoping that he would have answers.

"Mr. Ruta, I'm truly sorry to interrupt you when you are in your free time, but do you know where Aria is or if she's fine?"
Nothing to see here, move along.

Alex sighed huffily and slunk back to the Bunny. "She and her family haven't suffered through magic. Don't say that it's a lie. She isn't mad, not truly nor are her parents. She pretends to be because she thinks it's cool or will scare me. She doesn't realise how horrifying it truly is."

Rabbit paused for a moment. They then continued, "And why do people bully, Alex? It is not because people are inherently wicked, but because they are desperate for control. The ones who bully are the ones who are the most afraid. The ones who are the most fragile. Think about that."

"I'm afraid she went to the courtyard, Henry. Where exactly, I don't know. She seemed...troubled, to say the least. Her anger is gone, but something else took its place, once her fire faded. She kept saying she was fine, but I honestly doubt that...You are a friend of hers, I trust?" Ruta inquired after explaining Aria's condition. Now that he knew someone was concerned about the girl, and actually cared for her safety and sanity, he let out a quiet, almost unnoticeable sigh of relief.

She was running them. From herself, maybe? The only person who could answer his question was herself. His eyes trailed off from Mr. Ruta for a moment, imagining what she was thinking. Finally, he snapped off from his imagination, and remembered Ruta's question.

"Yes, Mr. Ruta, I think I can say that I'm her friend. I will see if I can find her, I have the feeling that she might be needing me. Thanks for the attention, and again, sorry for the inconvenience. Excuse me."

Again, he was walking. Fast. He had the distinguishable sensation of urgency kicking him from inside, like a dormant force that awoke inside him. He reached the courtyard, looking around carefully for her. And if she wasn't there, she had to be in her room.

An Ignis boy among the Aquo, an unusual sight due to the natural opposition between the elements. Finally, he reached her door, catched his breath and knocked on the door.

"Aria? It's Henry. Are you alright?"

Ashes.

She reached down and scooped some of them up, watching them slowly trickle through her fingers.

Then she brushed off her hands, buttoned her shirt, and walked away.

"And then... well, some of us get to live with the consequences, now, don't we?"

Matthew Barnes

Matthew awoke confused in an unfamiliar room. As he opened his eyes he found himself blinded by the amount of light that flooded into the room. He slowly gained awareness of hid surroundings and found himself on a dusty shelf in the library. "How did I get here...?" He wondered out loud as he recollected what he remembered. 'So there was the student who was lazy, like me, then I said I was gonna take a nap... Oh ok' He decided to get back to his classroom to prepare and sat up. But since he was on a shelf he bumped his head on the ceiling. He involuntary flinched which caused him to fall off the shelf with a thud. "Ow..." He groaned 'What a great way to start my day.'
You think I'm an asshole? Well you get an A+ because you thought right!

"Aria? It's Henry. Are you alright?"

There was no response when Henry knocked on Aria and Catherine's shared room, save for a small screech that came from a tired Nero. Other than that, the silence that ensued when Henry arrived in the Aquo dormitory was deafening. Aquos had a complete dislike for Ignis mages, even if Henry had acquainted himself with four of their own.

Instead, Aria stood at the shores of the island, sitting in a small clearing of grass and looking out upon the great blue waters that stretched infinitely before her. It was but a small part of the world, she knew, but to Aria it could easily serve as an escape. Her endurance would allow it, and so would her mana, for a time. However, the fight had drained Aria of her strength, and all she could do now was sit and listen to the crashing of the waves against the island.

Aria wanted so much to simply walk ahead, not heeding the voices, not needing to hear another outburst from Alexander, and being free. And yet freedom was what she had came to this island for. And now that hellion appeared once again, to endlessly torment her. She still didn't want to kill him, no matter how badly he wanted to do so to her. But in the end, Aria would be doing nothing more than what Alex wanted if she did. She would be fulfilling his own deathwish.

With a glassy look in her violet eyes, Aria planned to leave this island with the winds of fortune at her back. She could see that she wasn't wanted here, so what was the point in staying?

Elizabeth Tsukuyomi

"I believe that I can address both of your questions at the same time. While serving Imperial Japan I never had any particular animal companion, but when I joined the inquisition they had acquired a number of gryphons to be used as both combat mounts and transportation. Helicopters like they tend to use today weren't exactly an option in the 30's. I didn't really feel the need for one, but a young gryphon imprinted on me. At first I did everything I could to get it to follow some one else around, but in the end I started to value the companionship. Especially as I grew more distant from the rest of the Inquisition. Gryphon's have fairly long life spans, forty to forty-five years on average. My gryphon, Tengu, is one of the few creatures that I did not create here, but instead brought here from the Prime Material. Oh, the 'Prime Material' is the name given to our plane of existence by planar theorist. I've called to Tengu, he should be here any second."
As Liz finished speaking Tengu circled over the clearance, then came in to land. Waves of emotion rolled off the creature and poured into Liz's awareness. Happiness to see her, couriousity about the new comers, and longing for her company. She smiled at the animal presence, it had been to long she dedicated enough time to him. Hopefully bringing him some new people to get to know would make up for that. Liz addressed the students again.
"You don't have anything to fear from him. Though wild gryphons are very territorial, by virtue of me bringing you here he knows that you are friends. Adressing the rest of your question Sophia, there are a number of things that one can do to alter their magical creatures. I, in fact, am currently working to remove some of the more undesireable qualities from a mogwai. He might be around here some where as well."

Catherine de Sanguine Vivere

"Students here don't pass up a chance to show off to a teacher often, and those that do normally have something to hide. I'm not a big fan of secrets, they are dangerous. I hid my blood magic for a time after arriving here, only to realize it was unnecessary. So I ask you. What are you hiding, and is it dangerous to me or this school?"
Catherine thought about how she could extract his secrets, if he would not divulge them. If she attacked him here, he would have to use more than just the weak magics he fought Ruta with. Yet that would be a blunt method where more precision was called for. I should be able to analyse the mana in his blood, that would tell me more. A tiny hair of blood worked its way through the ground towards Lance, coming up just behind him. Slowly she guided it towards him, it was far to small to be felt, but if Catherine put to much mana into manipulating it the boy might sense it by other means.

Rabbit now saw that Kasumi had not been lying about Hikari dislike of her, nor has she been lying about her cocky attitude. "She's quite a sweet girl, yes. And a good student, from what I have seen. She was just in my class," they answered, thoughtfully. They then asked her, "...Did you sign up for my class, dear? I don't quite remember if you did or not."

They continued to keep an eye on Alex as well, not wanting them quite to walk out yet. They hoped the boy was listening, that maybe something they had said would reach him.

Henry Von Kressel

The lack of answer was disturbing. And so was the amount of people staring at Henry. Even if he wasn't wearing his Ignis robes, the reaction would be the same, due to the time he studied. He left before any confusion started because of his presence.

He was out of options and out of ideas, until one struck him. Fawkes. It could cover more ground than him, and faster. He whistled high as he could, and Fawkes came out of his room, storming out of the window to stop in front of him.

Using the bond that the two created, he sent Fawkes to look around, and guide him in case he found her. It was only a few minutes, but it seemed like it took an eternity before he saw the red bird sweeping in front of him.

He ran to follow the bird's trajectory, finally sighting Aria at a distance. Again he catched his breath, with a sigh of relief in the middle of it. He sent Fawkes ahead of him, and it stopped by Aria's side, while he approached her by the other.

"Don't... Don't you ever do this again. Please. Just... Don't disappear. Please Aria, just don't run away, okay? Are you alright?"
Nothing to see here, move along.

Ozzi wanders back out into the main courtyard from the class, now that he realizes the lesson isn't starting for a while
Once out in the courtyard, Ozzi looks all around, trying to find a familiar face. More specifically, trying to find Soleil. He has really taken a liking to Soleil over the last few hours, and he hopes that they will become good friends.

Maybe even somethi-

Ozzi shuts off that train off thought very quickly, and he walks faster, still looking about for Soleil.

The name was said with distaste.

"What do you think of my dear sister? Lovely little doll, isn't she?"

"Sweet?" Hikari said in shock. "Sweet?! She's a glorified puppet! She didn't show a lot of emotions when we were kids, but now she's just a doll! Don't tell me you didn't notice! She hardly feels anything!"

Lance

"Blood magic..." Lance repeated, trying to think of a way that he could get out of the situation. Alas, he thought of nothing. Such a thing was strange for him. It was in his nature to be deceitful. "An ability that can be learned and mastered by those who manipulate water. Such a thing is only achieved by few, and that is after decades of training."

He closed his eyes and let out a sigh. "Trust me... You don't know what you're dealing with. Sometimes... Sometimes secrets are necessary."

Aria Comnena

Hearing the sound of Henry's voice, Aria almost smiled. As Fawkes came to her side, she almost reached out to the bird before drawing back her hand. She no longer exhibited an aura of happiness, but a more ominous one. "...I am fine, Henry...What gave you the silly thought that I would run away? I just needed a breather, that's all..." Aria said to Henry, the emerald green absent from her eyes, along with any of her usual self.

Now might be her last chance to run...But there was something that held her back. She didn't want to leave. Not so soon, with so many of her dreams unfulfilled. If she robbed herself of all those opportunities, especially that of a life with her beloved...She would never be able to forgive herself. A shiver went down Aria's spine, and she gave off a noticeable twitch.

Henry Von Kressel

He tried his best to hold back his tears. The reason behind them he didn't know, but it got him in a way that none of the books he read explained, and that terrified him. However, he could sense that she was sad, her usual happiness and smile giving place to a face without any good expression.

"I'm not used to these things, but I'll try my best here. In the last years, I could say that I only lost things. I'm not about to complain, but somehow it just... Feels like that you're going to lose for the rest of your life. Until the destiny, coincidence, somehow gave me you.

Among the storm, you came. This is probably the worst cliché I ever said, but it simply appeared as a good sign, an insight that made me believe that were better days and things to come. And I believe it Aria. I understand that you might not want to talk about it, or what you have passed in the last months, and I'll respect that the same way you always respected me. But I've said it before, and I'm saying it now: I'm not going to leave you, not unless you want it. I'm not going to lose my faith in one of the best things that ever happened to me. I know that I'm probably sounding like an idiot and you're probably trying to remember the last time you saw me this way, without that ridiculous noble posture that I insist on keeping, but... That's all I wanted to say. I think I should just... Just... Time to admit that I also don't know what to do now.

My intuition is slapping me in my face, telling me to stay here and take care of you. My rational side tells me that you're going to be fine, that you're a tough one and you're going to storm through your problems. And at this impasse, I have to ask you: What do I do Aria?"

Catherine de Sanguine Vivere

"Some aquo might be able to learn blood magic. None would ever command blood as I do. These exceptional talents run in families. Is that what you hide, something in your family, something in your blood? Secrets are only necessary between adversaries. Tell me, do consider everyone here a foe?"
The thin thread of Catherine's blood made contact with Lance's skin. Gently she drew just enough blood from him for her to analyse, less that a gram total. The thread retracted back under the ground and returned to Catherine's Body.
The year’s at the spring,
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hill-side’s dew-pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn;
God’s in His heaven—
All’s right with the world!

hi!

"I don't exactly view others as my enemies. It is simply that I don't trust others," he answered. That was the truth. There were people in the world that he didn't have to keep his guard. Up around, but he has yet to meet one. As for his blood, there would definitely be something strange about it. Inhuman to an extent. Then there's his mana... Due to his link to the demonic forces, his mana is linked to the very place that those energies originate: Hell.
