Ruta sighed as the red haired, red robed Aria left his room. He had done wrong, and that girl had almost been killed because of it. Alexander was obviously unhinged, every sign of his depravity open for all to see. Yet the girl was a different kind of crazy. It seemed so controlled, and that was what ended up actually unsettling Ruta. Not the fight, not the bloodlust of the two combatants, but rather how eerie the girl seemed, how easily she changed. From a sweet, charming character, to a crazed murderess, to a person with obvious depression. Yep. Obviously not all there, her actions more than showed that.

The Rabbit was probably going to use this against him...No, the Rabbit was definitely going to use this against him. He was just too damn smug for his own good. And so Ruta turned away from his colleague and announced, "My apologies to you all, but there has been a change of plan. Today's lesson is over. All of you that are still here, return to your dormitories or prepare for your next class." Ruta said heavily, without a hint of his usual humor. He needed time to think about what happened here, and right now, all he really cared about was making sure the girl was alright. Alex was of a much lesser priority right now. With his black cape trailing behind him, Ruta followed after Aria, not paying any mind to any of the other students, with the exception of a cold stare being given to Alexander.

Rabbit watched him leave, and then looked at Alex. Ruta had completely ignored Alex, in favor of Aria. All he gave Alex was a cold, uncaring stare. Now, Rabbit was left in the room alone with the boy. Letting go of his shoulders, they walked in front of Alex and asked gently, "You've been through quite a bit, haven't you?" It was easy to see Alex was acting out of despair and fear, now, more than anything.

Meanwhile, Soleil watched Mr. Ruta leave, and scrambled away from the wall so he would not see him. He felt he would die, if Mr. Ruta actually saw someone had been spying on him.

"Well Soph, Since only you and Andrius here have shown up, I guess we can get started. Because I didn't have much time to prepare this class, I'll be instructing it in a bit of an odd way."
Liz reached out and made a slicing motion in the air with her hand, opening a semi-stable rift to her demi-plane. The rift widened and a translucent arch formed around it.
"You could say we're taking a bit of a field trip today. To explain the magics I've used her would take all of this class period, and probably much longer. To learn more about that you'll have to join me for magical theory later today. For now we will be focusing on the magical creatures, or representations there of, that I have populated this place with."
Liz walked into the portal as she finished speaking, beckoning the students to follow her.

Andrius Sorovinas

Andrius raised an eyebrow at Professor Tsukuyomi's summary of the day's lesson. It sounded like she was going to use more unconventional methods to teach the class, but Andrius never quite expected to see what he was about to. A portal to a separate dimension. Now that was some impressive magic. However, he knew that she probably wouldn't appreaciate any geeking out about this kind of thing, so he decided to keep a straight face and shut his mouth, nodding as the professor gave her explanation. He knew he would have Professor Tsukuyomi for Magical Theory, and seeing this from her made him more than optimistic about taking her class. Andrius followed Sophia through the rift, ready to begin the Study of Magical Creatures.

After waiting and waiting for something to happen, he was surprised as to why he asked them to leave. His mind was too busy worrying about something else to noticed what was going on around him. He just looked at Mr. Ruta with a state of confusion and concern. "What did I miss?" He thought as he slowly got up and put on his backpack. He walked towards the doorway, but before he left, he looked at the professor once more before sighing and walking out.

"Go back to my dorm? How can I? There's nothing for me to do there. I wonder if there's anyone else out of class or something?" He said to himself as he walked the hallways. He walked outside and looked around for anyone to actually try and make friends with, something that he wanted to do for the longest, but didn't have the motivation nor personality for it. After looking, and finding nobody, he sighed and walked the courtyard, thinking about how one can make a friend or something. Or even a romantic interest. Each one was a feat of it's own for him, so the only thing he could think of is to just forget about both for the moment and just be alone, which was something that he was tired of being.

Elizabeth Tsukuyomi

Once again the demi-plane had changed to suit Liz's needs. The portal emerged to a clearing in tranquil forest. Some things seemed off about the place though, the tree seemed far to homogeneous, bird calls and other animal noises were absent. The place was too peaceful. Not only that, people other than Liz, the place instilled a feeling that you were intruding. Seeing that the students had followed her, Liz spoke.
"I'm not sure how comfortable you guys are with things like planar theory, but suffice to say we are not at Mana anymore. This is my demi-plane. I created it as something of a refuge, and some times a laboratory. I've also populated it with many different 'replicas' of magical creatures I have encountered, studied, or hunted in my life. Let's start with the basics. Magical creatures are called such because, as the name implies, they have a stronger connection to mana than normal creatures. One could think of them as the mages of the natural world. Now since I didn't really have time to come up with a real lesson plan, do either of you have any particular magical creatures you are interested in seeing, or learning more about?"

"I... Have." Alex managed. Although he'd bragged about it to Aria Alex was still afraid of showing emotions to others, especially vulnerability. When Ruta glared at him Alex glared right back. "What the hell is his problem with me?" Alex asked, angered. "He's still trying to push the blame onto me."

Rabbit cocked their head to the side, as they thought over the situation. "Sometimes that happens. When a person wants control of a situation, they often look for something to blame, to try and say they know what exactly happened. But sometimes, no one side is to blame, and both of you have been hurt..." They then straightened themselves, and continued, "That is why I do not blame either one of you."

Meanwhile, Glacia wrapped herself around the lava statue, slowly freezing it and with a decisive bite, it fully froze and shattered. Allistor kept on forcing in his magic, his frostfire surrounding Henry like a hungry pack of wolves. "Let's end this Henry." Allistor said, clearly straining his body with the effort. Soon enough, their clashing of magic would turn into an explosion of embers and a flurry of snow if continued.

Henry Von Kressel

With the fall of the statue, Henry felt a substantial amount of mama returning to him. Constructs used too much mana, and it was a thing that he needed. However, he knew that both him and Allistor weren't going to give up, and that they could keep it going for hours straight.

What was once his armor became small "grenades", thrown in Allistor direction. If it exploded, lava would almost hit Allistor. However, with the armor gone, he needed another source of heat. Creating small fireballs in his hand, he put both of them together before releasing a full circle of flame directed at the frostfire.

If it didn't work, that probably meant that he was about to lose. However, Henry presumably would laugh at the end: Until then, the exercise was an excellent way of testing new tactics and ways of using his magic.

Allistor stopped in flight and released the enveloping frostfire around him into a wave of cold energy, snuffing out the fires around them and nullifying the lava balls that came for him. Glacia reared towards him and coiled around him like a gigantic shield, baring her fangs at Henry. In his right hand rested an ice longsword, and his eyes burned blue. "Seems that we need to stop for awhile, Henry." He reached for Glacia with his left hand and the snake burned for a blink of an eye before returning to normal size. "Because it seems that we aren't the only ones who unleashed hell. And we have a visitor." He gestured to Aria and the others and waved his free hand at Rabbit. "Hello, sir."

Allistor Abendroth

Allistor slowly floated down the ground and looked around. 'Water and burn marks are everywhere. We should have done it outside.' The magic residue still made his eyes glow blue faintly and he noticed that it seems that Rabbit restrained Aria and Alex. He just made a slight frown, looking at Alex's feral eyes. 'Poor kid...'

Artosh Luxenia

Artosh was nibbling fries in his classroom, waiting for his next batch of students to come. His break will soon be over, and he used it to clean the classroom and have a little snack. He felt vibrations and sensed the use of magic from Ruta's classroom which was just a few rooms away from his own. 'Too many magical signatures and even Bunny-chan's own is in that room. What the hell are they doing?' He thought to himself, worrying about the well being of the students as he munched on fries. There was already a student who got here when he was getting his fries from the cafeteria and it was getting quite awkward. "I-It seems that you're quite early here... Perhaps you were dismissed early too?"

"Well, I'll give it to you: You won. Thanks for the opportunity Allistor, hope we can do it again sometime."

He looked around, until his eyes finally rested on Rabbit. For a moment, he thought that his battle wasn't that destructive compared to what he saw around. Henry returned to his normal posture, started to breathe more calmly.

The Rabbit interrupted the fight between Aria and Alex, and with good reason: They were both going for the kill. He saw Aria fight a few times before, but never with such ferocity.

"Hello Professor."

The following scene was worse. Among the destruction, a discussion erupted only to be interrupted by the same Professor. At the end of it, Alex stayed in the room, while Aria ran out of the classroom, only to be followed by Ruta.

He knew that she would be harmed, but not about to let anyone see it. It worried him, it bothered him, and he was faced with a dilemma: Go after her or let the teacher talk with her?

"Allistor, why I have the impression that I should go after her?"

Allistor smiled at the masked teacher. "Tragedy has been the staple of human life since its rise. But this kind of tragedy, it is not something to feast on." He turned to Henry before grinning and giggling silently. "Hast love conquered thine heart, o mighty dragon of the flames? Thy fires kindled as bright as the morning sun, reflected by thine glassy eyes." Allistor teased Henry while doing a stupid Shakespearean speech imitation. Then then stopped and placed one hand on his waist. "Aria needs a shoulder to cry on. Go on, Henry."

Henry Von Kressel

He gave a shy smile at Allistor's joke.

"Such poetry diminishes the rage of my flames, nobleman."

Henry made an equally stupid imitation of an older English. He silently laughed at his own imitation and the situation itself: It was that obvious? Most of the times, Henry was seen as a riddle. No one knew why he was that calm, or his previous experiences. If someone can guess what he's feeling that easily, it was a bad sign. But maybe it was a bad sign for a good thing. Then, he headed back to his seat, picked up his robes and readied himself to leave.

"Professor, Allistor, excuse me."

He then walked off the room, his worries shown at the break of his usual posture while walking: He was now actually walking fast, actively searching for Aria and the teacher that left behind her. He didn't know how she would be now, which only worried him more: He didn't doubt of her, but he also knew that she was kind of... Sad.

So, he proceeded to walk around the school, trying to get a sight on Aria or the Professor.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Ozzi stands awkwardly in the doorway, fidgeting as he answers the teacher. "Er.. Yes, I was dismissed early." He begins to wonder exactly how early he was dismissed, because he hasn't looked at a clock yet since his dismissal.

Catherine de Sanguine Vivere.

Maria was knocked unsteady by her wires being unexpectedly pulled in by Catherine's sphere. Maria ended up in a very poor position, she had stumbled closer to Catherine, who had extended roots of blood under her sphere. Catherine reacted instantly, using the roots to reconnect with the condensed blood around Maria, then forming the roots with the boosted amount of blood to form a net around Maria. She tried to defend herself, but the webs of blood contracted too quickly. Catherine constricted the net as tight as she could with out killing Maria. She opened dozens of tiny cuts all over the girls body, forcing their blood to mingle. Catherine blood forced its way into Maria's body, draining her blood of oxygen and her body of mana. The duel was over. Catherine with drew her blood from Maria, closing the cuts she made on the way out. Catherine made sure Maria would be fine, then walked away. She had seen Aria and Alex's fight, and she was worried. More for Aria than Alex, but for him as well. She harbored no real ill will towards him, and it seemed the boy could use at least one person that didn't hate him. Something else had caught her eye, the boy dueling Ruta. He didn't even try, barely using any mana. Something about him struck her as off, like she was remembering something from an old, dark tome of hers. Catherine Approached him.
"So, why didn't you try during the duel?"

Rabbit watched her finish her fight, a little concerned by her extensive knowledge of blood magic. They hoped the other girl was alright, as she lay on the ground nearby and recovered from her wounds. "Wait one moment," Rabbit told Alex, as they went to check on Maria. Appearing next to her, they knelt beside her and looked to see how she would respond, as she got up.

Sophia asked "Don't most magical creatures have the ability to form some sort of telepathic link with their owners...?" to her, someone who was tending to a creature as complex as a chimera, the answer would be a rather simple yes, but she decided to phrase the question in a way someone with her expertise can understand. "Like...a Pendulum Portal between minds?"

Lance

"Hmm?" he asked as he turned to her. For the past few minutes, he had been distant. There were many things that he had to worry about here. The most bothersome being what would happen to him if they were to disover his secret. You see, demons were never welcome in the mortal world. Yet, some would take human form and live among them. Many whom were discovered were killed without mercy. There were some that were kept for study, however. Imps were commonly contained for this field of research.

"Why didn't I try? Well," he replied,"I didn't see that much effort was necessary." There was something off about the boy, just as a Rabbit has noticed. How could someone like him care so little? He was facing off against a teacher, and he didn't even believe that he had to use the slightest bit of effort.

Elizabeth Tsukuyomi

"Most magical creatures can't form telepathic bond with their owner. The reason is simple. Most magical creatures don't have owners. That's a pretty normal misconception for people to have though, most people only think of a wizards pet when they think of magical creatures. They forget that magical creatures are still quite common in the wild. In their natural habitat some are mildly telepathic, using it to hunt, to avoid being hunted, or work with a pack. A pack of Telepathic Dire Wolves is not something you want to come upon. Even for prepared mage they are very dangerous. Though most magical creatures lack any telepathic abilities, most pets kept by mages have them. Again the reason for this is quite simple, they make for the best magical pets, so they displaced their non-telepathic bretheren as magical pets."
Liz was glad that Soph was asking questions, she had really hoped for more students, but at least they both seemed engaged in the class.

Catherine de Sanguine Vivere

Catherine studied the boy harder, with her eyes, and with her magical senses. There was something hidden about the boy, but every time Catherine thought she saw it, it slipped away. The boy had brilliant red eyes. Much brighter than the blood red of her own. Before she spoke again, Catherine briefly focused on her own eyes. She drained the blood from the irises that she used to augment her vision. As she did so they returned to the natural color, a light blue that starkly contrasted her dark hair.
"You know what they say about red eyes. They are evil, the mark of demons, or of black magic. I like to think they are wrong. You must have seen that I'm a blood mage. After seeing that, why do you insist on hiding your power?"

The pale, purple eyed Aria walked aimlessly through the halls of the Academy, the sound of her her footsteps echoing against the walls and looking rather unsettled. What Alex had said...That madness was in his blood, that he was but a tortured soul that didn't deserve any of the pain that he went through...

Nonsense, it must be...She had been able to bear her burdens for so long, and never had she lashed out as Alexander did. Not like today, at least. What were these...these things that she felt? All Aria wanted to do was hide in her old room, with her books and her Nero...But that would never again be a reality, for as long as she lived. The old mansion where she had been born, her birthplace, no longer stood. It had all gone so fast, and every memory she ever had, grand or horrible, had all started from that hell. The hell where she never knew why her mother hated her so much...the hell where all her sisters would do was point and laugh at their weak, worthless elder sister...the hell from which she never truly escaped.

Ruta knew roughly the same pains as Aria, yet he was fortunate enough to have a home, but not a family like she did. He had lost his home many years ago, forced out by an forgiving family that dared call itself pious, holding up the bible as they branded their only son demon and traitor. And that was what he felt, always. For so many years, until Master Elodié, he had no one to turn to. This girl walked in his very own footsteps, and she bore the face of the girl he had loved for so long...Some would have called it sympathy, others would call it wasted pity. But simply by looking at her, he felt some of the emptiness in his heart die.

"Miss, are you alright?" Ruta asked Aria, the concern clear in his voice as he called out to her.

Aria responded with a simple, "I am fine, sir. I am merely going to my dormitory." as she headed to her destination.

"I see...Pardon me for saying so, but you seem troubled by something. You were not hurt in the duel, that much I know, but you seem...different, somehow. When you walked into class this morning, you seemed perfectly fine, if not a little distant." Ruta remarked. He wanted to find out what was wrong here. This broken, depressed little girl was alone, and Ruta was reminded all too much of himself when he looked into her eyes.

"...Professor Ruta...I am fine. I do not need your help, nor your pity. You would spend your time better in listening to what Alexander has to say. I don't have anything worthwhile to tell you." Aria stated, not so much as looking at Ruta as she strode into the verdant courtyard. The memories flowed back to her now, and all she wanted was to be alone...

Ruta didn't quite understand why Aria was being so hard on herself, however, or why she was ating like this. From the information he had gathered, she was usually a bubbly, happy go lucky girl who loved nothing more than a friendly duel to let off some steam. But here, she seemed as if she just wanted to shut herself out from the world. Letting out a sigh, Ruta supposed it would be better for both him and Aria if he simply dropped the conversation. She didn't want to talk, so there was no point in forcing it. Maybe the girl had friends she would be more open with, but noting her demeanor, he didn't expect much. Making a mental note of the situation, Ruta began to wander the halls, lost in his own thoughts.

Lance

"What do you mean?" Lance inquired. What she had just done disturbed him slightly. The steady flow of blood as it moved away from her irises had caused them to momentarily appear bloodshot.

She knows that my eye color isn't natural. How? How does she know what I'm hiding? he asked himself, but failed to find an answer.

Sophia shuddered. She and a few friends of hers were on the receiving end of a pack of telepathic Direwolves back in Norway...she still had those nightmares about them to this day. "Ms. Tsukuyomi?" Sophia asked again "Have you ever personally had a Magical Creature that you had a special bond with? I heard that some Mages can enchant their creature of choice with runes and they have that telepathic link. I heard they're called Battle Mounts..." Sophia was curious. A mage as powerful as Ms. Tsukuyomi who can create Demiplanes would have no doubt had a few Battle Mounts in her time (did they call them Battle Mounts outside of Cleric School?) Elementalists and Clerics were sure different, not just by how they approach magic...

Andrius Sorovinas

Andrius was certainly surprised by the change in scenery. He had traveled from a small classroom, with only a few windows and stone floors, to a wide open wilderness where, evidently, anything Professor Tsukuyomi imagined could become a reality. Every single thing that she had seen in her lifetime, mshe could recreate here, and all she would need to do was will it to be. He already knew the basics when it came to the science behind magical creatures, what with their natural connection to mana and the world's ley lines. But besides that, he was never taught about beasts, mainly because of his family's decree that Andrius must focus on mastering the Firestorm.
"I have always had an interest in gryphons...Have you ever seen one during your travels, Professor?" Andrius asked politely, hopeful that Tsukuyomi had seen one. Though it was more likely that she was more familiar with Japanese imps, or sea serpents...Ayakashi, were they called? He couldn't quite remember. "Or should we start off with something smaller? Like Kappas or Harpies?"
