Biography: Sonya was born in the city of Atlas to a pair of famed researchers, it was of no surprise their only child intended to do the same as them at frightening effeciency. From a young age she would take a new obsession in a certain field of science every year and almost always become an expert of any scientific field she studied, and graduated from secondary school at 12. She quickly became part of the Atlas Military Research and Development department and has since been part of it. When she was 21 she married Lucas's father and a few years after had Lucas and together raised him until the event which admittably drove Sonya over the edge mentally.

She took Lucas with him to Vale where she continued to work for Atlas from her home in Vale. During this time she began to investigate dust melding which would bond dust with a human's body to little success which frustrated her greatly when everything she worked on generally became success...except this project and her son who still wished to be a Hunter. She often took her frustrations out on young and defiant Lucas, that was until Lucas out of a stroke of luck successfully* melded with lightning dust. Her obsession about Dust Melding consumed her as she studied her own son trying to figure out why he was successful. She needed better equipment so she determined to return to Atlas the year Lucas was old enough to enroll into Signal. Then she moved was the day Lucas ran away and lived homeless until he could enroll, relying on his savings his father had left him.

Sonya was reassigned to a new research project after going catatonic while presenting what she had researched without her 'experiment' Lucas. She married a fellow researcher who believed he could keep her stable, and that was the case...for awhile, until she stumbled along news that her son had enrolled in Beacon. She broke down again, found her old research on Dust Melding and moved to Vale with all the equipment and money she had (which was quite a bit) for her own purposes.
Personality: Outwardly a cool polite person, it hides all her obsession, curiosity, and to be frank sadism. Not a lot of empathy. She does have a streak of 'I'm smarter than you, so listen to me' as well

Well you can generally look at the date of each OOC post and IC post to obtain a general outlook on how things are 'kicking'.

The problem with this answer is that the RP generally sees spikes in activity randomly.

If you want a general answer, yes, it's still alive. Is it active? Not very, but it's trying.

I'm not sure about adding an entire team of fresh graduates from Beacon just yet, considering that much of the action's going to happen on the campus grounds anyway (at least until the ghosting arcs come in). So I'll have to put them off for now. Sorry.

And didn't you write up Zimt as a sort of substitute teacher? Or did I misread? Either way, he seems to be helping out the teachers at Beacon temporarily.

Villiany, if Orb is willing she could become a beneficiary and partner to Erde (or even Cinder). She has hates hunters and beacon because as she sees it, that is what stole Lucas away, and she is willing to destroy beacon to get her son, and I intend on her being a villian that continues to be a problem after the fall of Beacon, maybe involved with Salem or just on her own hunt for Lucas and vendetta to his team

By extension that means teaming up with Reina... assuming Reina doesn't go off and do her own thing instead of being completely villainous. In fact, she'll probably troll Emerald and Mercury when they show up at Beacon.
