Oh wow...
What a coincidence...
Still, I am glad RWBY Volume 4 is out! The hype train made it to its destination and crowd goes wild.
Because sometimes even national leaders just want to hang out

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon: Frostlite
Appearance: Frostlite is a custom transformable compound longbow (standing 193cm in height) that can collapse into a pair of Cavalry Sabers or a pair of Machetes. In spite of wielding an identical pair of weaponry, Ashley has given a name for both weapons; Gretel (for the sword/machete in her right hand) and Hazel (for the sword/machete in her left hand). Gretel and Hazel can telescopically collapse to form a pair of swords (1796 Light Cavalry Sabers) or machetes, or assemble together (by attaching the hilts together and telescopically transform) to form a simple compound longbow. The bow strings (when not in use and when Gretel and Hazel are used as separate weapons) are winded up and stored along the non-cutting edge of the blades (and while remaining almost practically invisible from a distance). Finally, when Gretel and Hanzel are not in use, the weapon retracts into the form of a pair of machetes; which are small enough to fit within specially sewed sheaths on the sides of the lower leg on Ashley's pants.
Capabilities: Because of the arctic environments and conditions that Ashley grew up, Frostlite is very utilitarian weapon. With the help of the simple levering system in the longbow form of Forstlite, Ashley can be able to effectively launch arrows at an effective range of 220 yards (without the need of raw muscle due to the assistance of the simple compound system); however, beyond 220 yards, the arrows will gradually lose stopping power and speed. In addition, because of Ashley's time in being out in the wilderness for two long years, Frostlite is quite literally a space-age upgrade to Ashley's primitive wooden longbow, as evident by the fact that Frostlite is made of stainless steel reinforced with a titanium inner core and polymer lining to minimise any chance of electric conductivity in case Frostlite were to come into contact with any electric applications.

She's like a "what if" version of Reina, in a way. Reina went bad, your character went good.

Well, Ashley's story could've turn for the worst in three primary ways:
- (1). If Ashley stayed in the forest and otherwise hid from the mysterious deer hunters (aka, her two older sisters in disguise as deer hunters), she would've been forgotten to history as she lived out the rest of her life in a cold and lonely desolation.
- (2). Another worst case scenario would have been if Ashley killed the deer hunters before identifying them, and thereby creating a repeat of her girlfriend's death (as killing her two older sisters would remind Ashley of how her girlfriend died so slowly and painfully; but it's with two people in the case of her two sisters).
- (3). Or to avert these cases in the first place, Ashley could've spared herself the pain by taking her girlfriend to the Atlesian military for critical medical treatment; however, this would've meant that Ashley had to be arrested for trespassing military designated areas (as Ashley's father and uncles had filed a missing person report, thereby alerting the Atlesian police and local military units nearby), and be sent back home to an infuriated father and uncles. Worst of all, if this was the case for Ashley, she would never get to see her girlfriend ever again as she would've been under probably the worst kind of restrictions for running away (and supporting a lesbian relationship)...and both god and Oum can only tell what kind of suffering and disciplining that Ashley may have to endure before having to see her girlfriend again (which she may never will if history was in this case scenario). Though, I guess if your the man of a big middle-class Atlesian military family, the last thing you wanted to have in the proud name of your family is a teenage lesbian who has the extreme potential of becoming slut.
I mean, there are many other ways that Ashley's life could have taken down the line, it was only a matter of love and family that Ashley managed to hang on to what remained of her former self after her girlfriend's death. Had Ashley's sisters not found her, she might of been a no one and otherwise perish to the harsh Atlesian environment in another few years or later (depending on her resilience, endurance, and willpower). In addition, Ashley may have ended up like Renia, in which Ashley may have turned into a complete psychopathic arctic serial killer.
