Former Citizens of the Nimbus System wrote:Lucius Aurelius believes in Mistralian polytheism, which is essentially identical to Roman polytheism (belief in and acceptance of all gods so long as their worship does not threaten public order or exclude other gods, worship of gods on a quid pro quo basis and further worship of various individual, household and local guardian deities); the major difference is a belief that one's Semblance is a gift from a particular deity. Lucius Aurelius particularly favours Invidia as goddess of retributive justice, Pietas as goddess and manifestation of filial piety (among other forms of piety) and Theia as goddess of sight and radiance (and from whom Lucius Aurelius believes he has received his Semblance).
Could we rule that blood sacrifice is outlawed in Vale? I feel that that would create some interesting cultural tension.
I'd guess that it'd attract Grimm, so it'd be outlawed on *that* principle alone, let alone the other issues with blood sacrifice, especially in as advanced (technologically) cultures as we've seen.
