By logic, if she cannot see your eyes at all, then it shouldn't work. So a sleep mask would block it, but glasses or 99% of sunglasses won't block it.

Biography:

*During this interview, Mr. Grey and company are currently engaged in defending a town from a rather cruel group of bandits, who had been laying siege to the small village I am staying in. This is during a lull in the combat. *

So, you want to know my story ehh? Well, seeing as I’m not in a fire fight, I don’t see why not.

Born in Atlas, apparently, to a merchant family before the SDC took over most of the trade there. With the business gone, mum and dad moved me out here when I was a wee lad. We did good here, even had a sister. Then they came around. *He makes a pointing motion towards the lines of the Bandits* Came around, harassed the family, threatened us, mum wouldn’t have any of it and usually was the one who would kick em out, but well…she was one women. They over ran us one night, burned down the barn, dragged us out of bed and were likely gonna finish us off. Then, out of no ware, this massive Tijitu smashes in to their truck, flipping it over.
Then I remember seeing the flash of rifle fire, the silhouette of a large scythe, and feeling what felt like a truck slamming in to my head.

I don’t remember much of that. I know my mum and dad are dead. *Mr. Grey’s gaze seems to drift off. * Though I do know my little sis is out there, some were.
Woke up in the morning in the back of a truck, feared maybe I was still their prisoner, then Mac *Referring to Johan Macmanus, the leader of the Corsairs* calmed me down and told me who I was with. *He points to the double headed Eagle on his armor and Beret cap. * The guard is what they called us, though we preferred the term “Corsairs” a mercenary group who specialized in fighting Bandits and Grimm alike. They took me in, gave me a rifle *He pats the Ares made Rifle as he cleans it * my sword, and taught me how to fight. I was 6 then, just a wee lad, and Mac took me in as his own. It was hard at first, knowing I was all alone in this hell of a world. *He chuckles * but that’s the thing about living in hell, eventually you get over the fire and constant threat of death and just learn to have fun. * I ask as to how being the only Faunus in the unit of soldiers for hire feels and he gives me a blank look* I don’t care that I am what I am, neither does anyone here and that’s because we don’t care what you are, if you pull your own weight and prove yourself to the unit, were like family.

*I ask if he had heard of the White Fang and their activities. * Yea, I’ve heard of them, bunch of gits with their head sup their asses, spouting all that “Faunus supremacy” shite, look mate, I get why you asked, but let it be known I don’t like them, not because they are shite at their operations, but because they fail to see that if mankind stays as divided as it is, it’s likely we’re ain’t going to stand much longer as it is, not if the Grimm have anything to say about it. *As if on que, the order to be ready to defend the small trench we are in is given, and Mr. Grey puts his rifle back together, loads a magazine, and readies it on the bipod. * Now, doc, I don’t mean to brush you off here, but you might want to keep your head down.

Personality:

“….Subject shows rather high level of maturity and levelheadedness for some one of his age, not to say subject does not, on occasion, “relax” and act more like a teen ager, but due to subjects current life situation, these times are rare. Subject does not show any aversion to violence and has even stated he prefers a good fight over ours of pointless delegation. When asked about family, he simply replies with “My unit is my family, they raised me.” Despite this, I do know of situations were subject has “Lost his Temper” and gotten involved in rather brutal confrontations, showing a rather brutal individual in combat, but I see no traces of this person when Subject is not provoked….”

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon #1 :Ares Mk3 Squad Support weapon

Capabilities: RPM: 600-750|Effective Range: 600 Meters|Caliber: 5.62X45mm|Ammo: 60 rounds per mag in "Casket Mags"
Ammo Type: Standard. Standard 5.56x45mm Steel tipped ammo, general purpose with the added benefit of being able to shred most lesser Grimm and Body armor inside of 400 meters. Carries 2 60 round magazines.
Ammo Type: Incendiary. Using a thin metal shell holding a small amount of Fire dust, these rounds suffer in penetration, but do increased heat and fire damage to its target. Carries 1 60 round magazine.
Ammo Type: High Velocity Armor Piercing, or "HVAP" rounds differ from other ammo types as they are tipped in hardened steel, but contain a tungsten core and contain higher pressure propellant then regular rounds. Carries 1 60 round magazine.

A 3 foot long custom forged steel Blade, cutting edge on one side, short saw tooth edge on the other. Used with his right hand and drawn from a Machete sheath on his back.
Capabilities:Swish swish, Stab stab, its a F*cking sword Dude, not fighter Jet. -Some arse whole in Power armor.
Semblance: Unrelenting Might.
Allows the User to project a shield of hardened aura over their body, absorbing and dispersing kinetic and energy based attacks, similar to a basic Aura but much higher in terms of protection. Fits well in to a frontal assault and or direct combat style. The Shield it self is powered by the user's will power, meaning if the user is rendered unconscious the shield will dissipate.

The draw backs goes as fallows: While it is capable of stopping large amounts of force, continued or repetitive strikes in rapid succession will over load it, dissipating it and leaving the user vulnerable. It is also a conscious thought as well, meaning if the user is caught unaware and does not activate it, then it will not activate. Since the shield's power is tied to the user's will, it's over all capacity is tied to their state of mind, if the user thinks they are defeated, then it will shut down.

I find his Semblance inconsistent. If it only can make him see the Aura of other beings (that includes animals btw), then it should leave out anything other including the Grimm. I'm gonna have to leave this pending for now.

Like Storm said, the semblance is not very useful in fighting Grimm. Now if you want a good semblance, find something that fits with your combat style. My reasoning is that you usually base your combat style of your semblance, but as you need a semblance we're going the inverse.

As for the semblance...I see your point. Alternate ideas I had were something like what he has, but refined in a different manner. There's also the idea i'm had that's essentially and over shield, greatly boosting his ability to absorb damage and fit more with his frontal assault style of combat. TBH i'm flexible on this, i'm was scarred you wouldn't approve of the weapons.


I might experiment with that, an over shield ability, similar to Yang's in that he can take more damage and keep on rolling.

Berserker - Coal directly siphons energy from his Aura to increase his strength and agility. The extent to which he augments these is proportional to the rate at which his Aura is depleted.
