Its only undead that can get souls and humanity as an item. Pretty much should be undead as the things you fight will just instantly murder you otherwise.

I know that I was just wondering if canon humans could obtain souls, I didn't say that the character in the souls games wasn't undead.

Armour & Weapons: Journal of Judal: The current 'weapon' of Judal the last bastard. The journal is tassled with bells and contains many written passages depicting the tales of both Gwyn and the means to do most sorceries, soul arrow soul lance etc. The books is capable of both casting sorceries and miracles to an adept level but the scaling isn't as good (Probably a C for reference) as other staves or chimes.

Background: Judal grew up in a location that was well hidden from any sort of major town and well away from areas that were desecrated with undead. In fact, Judal didn't even know that undead existed until he was well a young man towards the age of 19. In that time of youth he was treated as a sort of servant and scribe, being partially related to the lord that ran the estate they lived in but not fully 'noble' in a sense, and would train himself with help from the current mage and his own studies. In that time of study Judal would come across old books depicting scenes and acts that he would later find out to be miracles, and be able to replicate the effect. As time went on in his life things would get worse and worse though, food would get more scarce and guards for the estate started dying in attacks from undead and other nasties. He would start roaming after that. Not knowing if he was the last of his 'nobility' but he was atleast certain he was the last bastard of his father and lord. The works of magic and miracles he would end up copying in his own journal, exploring the more 'human' lands until the age of 24 when he decided that maybe he could find more works of the gods in the hostile regions of the world he called home.
Perhaps he'll convince himself to try and find a pyromancy flame and learn those, or stick to his own craft.

Strengths: Capable of learning a wide array of sorceries and miracles. Unable to go hallow. Won't ever go crazy from simply living. Can attune spells if resting for more than 30 minutes using his book. This does not reset spell uses though, that requires greater rest (IE: Sleeping)
Weaknesses: Uncursed. Dies if killed, rip. Unable to 'level up' or hold souls or use estus.

Appearance: Their appearance contrasts sharply with the manner in which they carry themselves in battle. Thin, lithe-- Their entire build screams of dexterity. Grey hair and pale flesh of a distinctly unhealthy shade bespoke of sickness and age, but face and body are disproportionately youthful. Avylisk's appearance, all in all, is a strange combination of charisma and ailment that render them broken and strange to look upon. A pale reminder of what once had been, really.
Armour & Weapons: Armour: Despite having no experience casting pyromancies, Avylisk dons pyromancer's garb. Her personal variant, however, lacks the ceremonial and oriental pieces, and it is unusually tattered. She also wears a simple skull mask comprised of both metal and bone.

Weapons: The Zweihander and dual bandit daggers.

Background: In Carim, Avylisk led the life of an opulent knight. She knew few opponents and many pets, toying with men and women of lesser status as she pleased. Eventually, upon invoking the wrath of a wandering pyromancer through the sheer venom of her speech and demeanor, she found herself irreparably broken by sickness. In a fit of horrible vengeance and rage, she cut the pyromancer into dozens of pieces with her mighty Zweihander and stole off with his bloodied and torn clothes as some sort of grisly trophy. It was only three disease-ridden days later that the Dark Sign manifested upon Avylisk's flesh, and already confined to her personal mansion in a fit of lunacy, she fled at the behest of something else's beckoning. Something far, and old.

Her journey carried her through a healthy stretch of foreign lands. Some were more hostile than others, but Avylisk circumvented all. It is only now, towards the closing of her traveling and the opening of a new act, that she begins to encounter foes truly capable of sweeping her aside.

Strengths: Incredible physical power, skill with most makes of blade, and infused with a haste most users of such heavy weapons are unaccustomed to.
Weaknesses: Unusually lacking in vigor and stamina for one so powerful, Avylisk tires quickly when sustaining injuries. Additionally, she is entirely unskilled in all forms of magic and is unwilling to sacrifice her mobility for more ample protection.

Short RP example: Avylisk's skin kissed the flames, but did not embrace them. As the pyromancer valiantly defended himself with the tools of his trade, the vengeful knight danced and dashed between bursts of heat and light that would have made short work of her elegant garb. The stones making up the road, the trees-- Even the air was stained a brilliant scarlet as Avylisk closed in and eviscerated the pyromancer with swift and devastating swings from her hefty blade. First just a gash and light spray, then a lost limb and a dark pool. The sickening sound of broken bones and severed muscles served as the accompanying symphony for the knight's bloody artwork. Only when the pyromancer was in too many pieces and had lost too much blood to be mistaken for anything but a broken corpse did the attacks cease.

I'm not even sure if the character I have in mind (the one I told you about) is even an Undead proper, so I'm not the best prospect.
