Not sure about the myths, but not in Riordan's mythology. Artemis is really the only one he holds to that, as well as Hera.

Powers: Increased physical strength and speed, lack of sensitivity to pain.
Appearance: unusually tall for his age, Jonathan is almost 2 meters tall, with a relatively well-muscled frame. He has brown hair, buzz cut, and piercing green eyes, with very pronounced cheekbones. Other than the typical Camp Half-blood t-shirt, Fuhrmann generally wears a set of forest-pattern camouflage cargo pants and cape to conceal the existence of his main weapon.
Personality: Competitive, arrogant and confident, Jonathan is proud of his abilities and skills with the sword. However, unlike what one would expect of a son of Ares, he doesn't try to pick fights without reasons. Now, whether or not the reason he starts fighting in a given situation is a good one is generally up to debate, but usually he doesn't bully or attempt to intimidate others. The intimidation just sort of happens naturally because of his imposing frame.
Biography: Descended from the line of peasant rebel, pirate and son of Ares Pier Gerlofs Donia, the bloodline of Jonathan was already influenced by the gods even before Sieglinde, his mother, met Ares. Of course, Jonathan was unaware of this before he turned 13 and first found, as if he was drawn towards it, the sword of his ancestor, only knowing that for some odd reason, creatures seemed to attack him a lot and that he didn't mind so much as he relished the idea of it.
Jonathan grew up with a keen love for fighting and a keen blade was generally easy to be found in the home, with his mother Sieglinde being a sort of blade collector. Due to this he had a large amount of skill with various different varieties of weapon, even when his grades were not particularly good, with the most common comment being about his lack of an attention span. At 11, his mother decided to pull him out of school, homeschooling him with an emphasis on self-defense and fighting, After a few years of this, his father, Ares, revealed himself to Jonathan, advising him to travel to Camp Half-blood. After a few years of wandering and fighting, Jonathan arrived at camp.
Other: Wields Zweihänder passed down from Pier Gerlofs Donia (sword sized similarly to the real one claimed to belong to Donia, which is to say 2.13 meters long, this one made of celestial bronze, dark red garnet set into both sides of the hilt, simple black leather wrapping around grip, simple “lemon” pommel), also carries as backup shortsword and dagger. Can speak German, albeit with Frisian dialect. Also, as a present from his father, Jonathan has a pair of steel bracelets which transform into gauntlets at will.

I like the character, I don't like the name. And I was asked by someone to not accept you until you altered the name.
It's just because it's the name of a former US President. It rubs the person who asked, and myself, the wrong way.

Unfortunately, Hamilton was never president, though I wish he had been.

Personality: Street smart and great with numbers, Mary's excellent at making money, in illegal ways as well. She enjoys playing games but knows how to cheat really well, although she rarely does this when she's havig fun. Somewhat spoiled and easily bored, she's gotten into trouble at camp for running several betting rings but she came out richer for it so, who cares? She's a kind, humorous but cocky girl who is a bit paranoid and tends to look over her shoulder a lot, understandable when at home you have to watch for who wants to put a bullet in you or your family's head.
Biography: Mary's maternal uncle was Danny "Bugsy" Dellacroce, a high ranking boss in the Gambino crime family of the New York division of the Mafia and his father and three of his brothers were in the mob, they came from a long line of gangsters and that's the way it always was. Danny's only sister, Mary was in charge of running the numbers of their rigged gambling business and was at the casino one night when she met a handsome young man at a bar who challenged her to a game. If he won, she'd give him a kiss. Young, beautiful and sharp, Mary agreed. She won, but gave him that kiss anyway which became something more when they met up again a short time later.

Mary's family was of course pissed off when she turned up pregnant mysteriously about a month and a half after that because it totally violated the old code. They calmed down a little after she explained the father wasn't from a rival family. When little Mary Isabella "Mia" was born, the family loved her however and especially her mother and uncle Danny. Her mother was concerned with bringing a baby into her family's lifestyle but as Mary grew, she was trained in the "family business" as it were. She was a mob principessa, spoiled and given mostly anything she wanted and was taught to shoot a gun when she was young to protect herself.

Given how she grew up, Mia's childhood was a rough one, seeing a few family members and many family friends die and she went to school with men around her to protect her from harm. She couldn't have normal friends or a normal life truly, always looking over her shoulder although her family was rather close knit. Things were a bit complicated by her powers, which showed up when she was young. The girl could do things with the air and it confused everybody until she turned nine, Big Mary's beau ran into the little girl at the ice cream shop. Wary of strangers, Mary's first instinct was to run away but the man assured her he meant no harm, he explained to her that he was Aeolus, god of the wind and her father. Coming home and telling her family this, her mother's jaw dropped. When it came time for her to go to CHB, her mother and family strongly protested, Uncle Tommy even threatening to shoot the god but he merely knocked the man over with a wind blast and assured them that Mary would be kept safe. Seeing a chance for the girl to have somewhat normal friends her own age, her mother agreed. Mary was nervous and scared when first arriving especially without her pistol, but she started to feel a little safer as time went on.
Other: Has a silver dagger and Aeolan harp, both given to her by her father.
