Demigod or Descendant, or both? Demigod
If Demigod, who's their godly parent?: Janus, god of doors and doorways, paths, choices, beginnings and endings.
If Descendant, who are they a descendant of?: Her great-great grandfather was a son of Apollo.
Roman Rank: (most common is just a basic legionnaire) Basic legionnaire, though she's got a good number of years in the legion under her belt and is fairly well respected among her legion-mates and hopes to become centurion sometime in the future.
Cohort number: Third cohort
Powers: Three times in her lifetime, she's had flashes in which she was able to predict the near future during times of great change. However, Ellis isn't able to summon this power at will and one of the predictions was falsely fulfilled after a sudden turn of events. Her oracle-like abilities do not extend to predicting games of chance, tests or exam answers, or essentially anything other than changes. She doesn't trust or depend on this power at all. Other than that, she's a gifted lock picker.
Appearance:(Image)
Personality: Ellis would best be described as quick-witted and confident; though some would describe her as somewhat tactless at the worst of times. She's ambitious and determined and will do anything to reach her goals, which unfortunately in extreme circumstances her attitude can border bitter and revengeful. When faced with things she's fearful of, she tries to hide her fright and act courageous.
Other: She owns a bow that was given to her by her grandfather.
Biography Ellis lived a fairly normal life in Northern California, disregarding the fact that her grandfather was a descendant of Apollo and well-known among the Third Cohort as a former trusted centurion. She was an average student in school and a good athlete, especially at running. Raised on stories of the small amount of family glory from Camp Jupiter and tales of the ancient Roman gods, she wasn't shocked when at the age of thirteen, she was invited to the Camp with promised a spot in the Third Legion. After passing her tests at the Wolf House, she was welcomed into Camp Jupiter and has served there since.
RP Example: (Ignore if you've already given an example) I'll link to this later, I need to search for it as I've not RPed for a while.
Did you read the rules? Yes, I reviewed the rules thoroughly.
Put in an RP example and I think this should be fine.

Well to do it without Percy might be hard, but I would suggest an attack on Camp by an egyptian monster, Which Chrion has to ask some very old contacts from Brooklyn house to come and help out.

There are a surprising amount of Hecate kids, actually. Anyways, yes, Romans can and most likely will stay with their Greek siblings.

I think having too many options will cause more harm than good. Already we have Norse demigods, who have no real reason to be at CHB except for temporary safety.Platypus Reborn wrote:Are there any Hecate kids in the Hecate Cabin that want to interact?

No, us Romans are setting up camp in an open field. You can visit your "siblings," but I guarantee most Romans wouldn't even want to stay with Greeks. The Assorted Saharan Outposts wrote:There are a surprising amount of Hecate kids, actually. Everything seems...good enough. Can I ask that the mind reading abilities only work on mortals? That would be more acceptable. Oh, also, the example you've sent me...isn't really an example. I know I'm asking quite a bit of you, but could you maybe just type up a quick thing so I can examine your abilities?Charlia wrote:Name: Alice Shepard

Godly parent: Hecate, goddess of magic, although like the lovely Venn diagram the Greco-Roman pantheon is, she also has some domain over the night, the moon, crossroads, ghosts, necromancy... yeah, it's some pretty gothic stuff we've got going here. Someone get Tim Burton.
Powers: Alice can manipulate the Mist, but sadly, never got many of the other 'magic' powers. Hecate's Venn diagram side, however, gave Alice the ability to never get lost--although she loses things all the time--and the occasional ghost-related magic.
Appearance: Ah, image size restrictions. The glory.
Personality: A rather introverted girl, Alice takes pride in being unconventional. She can be a very sarcastic child, and will use her deadpan snark abilities on you without the slightest hint of hesitation. She loves being right, and isn't above the occasional 'Told you so' if she feels it's justified. She sometimes has mood swings, and can be hyper and slightly crazy, a sharp contrast to her usual dark and snappish demeanor. Also, despite her dyslexia, she loves reading. Guess what her favorite book is. (Other than Lovecraft. She never gets tired of Lovecraft.)
Biography:Dark, gothic, and... snarky? Wait, what?
Mhm. Appearances can be deceiving, you know. Especially when you're a child of Hecate.
Alice Shepard wasn't always a strange child. No, she started out being perfectly normal--born in typical, small-town America, to normal people who liked each other.
Wait, did I really just say that? Ha! Normal people. That's not true at all, in case it wasn't immediately obvious. 'Normal' Parent was dear old Dad, but then there was her mother. No, not her stepmother, her real mother. Hecate.
Of course, Alice didn't know that. Not at first, anyway. She just knew that she didn't look like her 'mother' or siblings at all. She knew that she had dyslexia and ADHD, causing her to be homeschooled so as to avoid teasing and general humiliation, while none of her other family members did. But she didn't question it, she just played with the hand she'd been dealt. (Ooh, card metaphors with a character named Alice... How low I have fallen, to sink to this.)
It was when her powers began to develop that she found out the truth. Terrified at these changes that were happening, she went to her 'mother', but the panicking woman's stress overwhelmed her, causing her to shout at the scared child that she wasn't Alice's mother. Confused and frightened, Alice tried to ask her father about it, but found something awful.
He was dead. Torn apart by a monster known as a dracanae. A terrifying snake-woman-creature that no one else seemed to see. Alice had no weapon. She didn't know how to use her powers. What could she do?
She ran. She ran, and ran, and kept running, until she ran into a girl with a sword who tried to tell her about some Camp Half-Blood, for the children of gods. She ran after that too. The girl seemed a little crazy, and Alice didn't exactly want to deal with a lunatic... Until she realized that if she told anyone about the thing that killed her father, she'd be considered a little crazy too. And then she began to search, until she found the girl again. That girl brought her to camp, and things just progressed from there. You know. The way things do.

Demigod or Descendant, or both?:
If Demigod, who's their godly parent?: Hecate
Roman Rank: legionnaire
Cohort number: Three
Powers: Manipulation of the Mist, Conjuring Spells, and he always know which way to turn at a crossroad
Appearance:(Image)
Personality: He is a generally kind person who tends to open up to only those that he is close with and tries to shield his emotions from strangers. He could be described as an omnivert, a person who enjoys spending times with others, but also relishes his time alone.
Biography: Alexander, or Alex, does not remember much of his past, except for a few memories of his early childhood that he spent with his father. His most accurate memories only go to about two years ago when he joined the Legion. He believes that his memories had been tampered with and that that was the reason why even his early days in the legion were hazy and why he is sometimes a bit forgetful. He volunteered to go to Camp Half-Blood with other volunteers in order to experience something new and find a more meaningful purpose in life.
