With three separate nations, including ones who had previously warred with the United States, all condemning Understanding in the same way, any accusation of this being a Stull-centred conspiracy was laughed off as a conspiracy in its own right, the Understanding radicals insisting that the President somehow not only was behind a terrorist attack on American soil, but had control over the governments of three foreign powers. The increasingly absurd claims of the group began to define them as extremist radicals in the eyes of the populace, whereas the government's calls for peace were considered welcome.
